i finally posted chapter 1 of the unhinged dune/feydpaul fic.

Paul wasn’t sure what muscles activated to allow him to do this, but he took an inelegant leap down the last few stairs, landing on top of Feyd, straddling him, crysknife to his throat. For a second, both of them panted heavily. Feyd’s lip was split where the impact had driven his teeth into it, red smeared across his skin. Paul wanted to cut the perverse grin off his face, along with the admiration in his eyes, so much so that his hand was shaking.  “This is where I wanted you all along,” Feyd-Rautha rasped, and thrust up his hips upward in a lewd motion, sending Paul forward- Paul caught himself, hand by Feyd’s head, and pushed the knife harder against Feyd’s skin, the blade about to draw blood.  “Never-” Paul’s voice shook with exertion and rage, “-touch me like that again!”

this is rly random lol but I keep thinking about this. Recently my life has changed a lot, nothing bad lol just moving out, finally starting uni ect and I found myself reflecting a lot on my past (so deep I'm literally only 22 😭) but recently I've been rewatching movies from my childhood and TV shows I was OBSESSED with as a teen and I got thinking about pieces of media that have stayed with me my entire life til this point and probably will stay with me for the rest of it. And I've realised that VV is most definitely one of them. I can believe a lil abo f1 fic could have such an impact but it's so important to me in a way I don't have words to express. From fics to the discord I genuinely hold such a special place in my heart for the story and the characters and the random lore snippets. I can already see myself thinking about it and returned to it years down the line (if ao3 is still standing and let's pray she is) so ig I just wanna say thank you for writing the most beautiful fic and honestly piece of literature in general I have ever read in my life 🫶
