Hawks hearing Tokoyami call Dabi "Tou-san" and thinking the villain is his intern's dad. Like, it fits. Really, really fits. The goth aesthetic, the dry personality, and the drama queen tendencies the both of them exude from time to time. Hawks didn't know how he didn't make the connection sooner. It all makes sense now.

Tokoyami is Dabi's secret love child.

(coming from the fact that Otou-san(Dad) in Japanese sounds really close to Tou-san)

The concept of a doting mother is foreign to tokoyami, he can’t remember a time his mother truly comforted him. He always went to his father or grandparents for that sort of thing. Now he can’t go to any of them.
