Definitely something related to animals they disrespect. I don't see him going as far as to hit her with "Cuckoo" but he'd want to center her cruelty and lack of compassion. "Lamprey" makes a fine choice, and there's also a disrespectful word in Clanmew for egg-laying animals that don't care for their young.

But, he would certainly not do it because Rainflower is popular. Hailstar is a smart cat, in spite of how long he spent denying the problem and justifying it (sometimes intellect just makes you better at making excuses). He knows full well that something like that could backfire politically.

There's a portion of the Clan who thinks he was wrong to punish her at all, and more who are in that nebulous state of not being totally sure if his response was justified or not. He took her child and stripped her of all status. If he went further than that, it would look like retribution... which it would be, and in another, more furious Clan, would have appeased the angry mob.

But this Clan isn't furious. The reception is mixed. Hailstar's goal isn't to make a big point, it's to protect Stormkit the way he should have done a long time ago.

The best plan of action is the action that makes this transition go smoothly. Rainflower does not need to wear a name like Lampreypool right now, to draw attention to her, to have the whole Clan be looking at her while she plays the poor, besieged victim of a cruel and unusual leader. She needs to be kept out of power, and away from Shellheart's son as the poor child recovers.

(Also Mapleshade didn't die in the Battle of the True Eclipse! Not in BB and not in canon's The Great Battle either, lmao. She's still around, chilling in the Dark Forest, haunting Applekin.)

The Obscure Hidden Yaoi of Ranma 1/2

CW: Mention of Suicide, Period-Typical Transphobic and Homophobic reactions

There's a scene in the manga where Gosunkugi crossdresses to get Ranma's attention(this isn't the first time btw) and sabotage his role in the Romeo & Juliet play.

When he rejects the bomb, they parody a love rejection scene.

Whenever one of Ranma's rivals catches him with a girl that's not Akane/Shampoo, they normally celebrate it and even root for him since he won't be "getting in their way" anymore.

But Gosunkugi gets weirdly jilted about it, heart pumping sound effects and all.

In chapter 200 Gosunkugi gets a set of paper dolls that can control people when given commands. Though accidental, he only puts romantic commands on men.

In particular, Ranma and Gosunkugi's date gets a lot of spotlight, lasting 2 pages out of a 16 page chapter, culminating in this exchange.

After this happened Ranma starts blushing when Gosunkugi walks by and asks what his intentions were earlier.

The next Gosunkugisode is about him reconsidering his thoughts on Ranma since he saved him from bullies, but this gets rebuffed by Gosunkugi buying a mecha armor to defeat him. His crush on Akane gets mentioned less and less.

If the armor doesn't punch the desired target in 30 minutes both the wearer and the target will explode. By the end of the chapter, Ranma has a speech about pride and fighting Gosunkugi fairly. The only part of it that he notices is "man to man".

After this Gosunkugi tearfully swoons over Ranma acknowledging him, describing his current situation as a lovers' suicide and apologizing for not wanting to do it.

The chapter ends with Gosunkugi not being able to finish a sentence directed to Ranma with similar wording to the earlier scene about him being accepted.

Even though he sits directly behind Ranma, this is the last time Gosunkugi ever ambushes him. Even though he sits next to Akane, he never shows any reaction to her anymore and seems to be looking at someone else instead. He only uses his straw dolls to fidget with.

The last line Gosunkugi ever has in the manga has him sweating heavily with his heart beating fast after finding a supposed wedding ring that Ranma had buried in the ground(with Ranma blushing in the back for good measure).

This was just an excuse to list the fruitiest moments these two had.

As a bonus, here's a minor detail that I noticed. Whenever Ranma's rivals want to insult him, they all go "Yurusan!(Unforgivable!)" or "Onore!!(You!!)".

But Gosunkugi instead repeatedly says "Saotome no Baka!!(Stupid Saotome!!)" just like his suitors do.

Yes I did stay outside in 38 degree weather for 3 hours tonight because when I took my recycling out my next door neighbors were standing there, and they told me a kitten was under my porch.

They ended up going inside around 10:15 because they have school in the morning. My dumbass stayed out until 12:20am and only managed to scare the kitten into our building’s backyard and underneath an old grill.

I left Pearl’s old carrier out there with some food and towels inside, so hopefully the kitten will go eat and get warm at some point—there’s a freeze warning tonight, so I’m really worried about the poor little thing.

And I’ll try again tomorrow (hopefully with a real trap this time!)

It’s been a while since I watched The Sandman but I remember there was this story about cats. And correct me if I’m wrong but they basically said that cats used to rule the world and suddenly it turned around and now humans rule it.

So now I wonder how the Cat King fits into that story. He can be both a cat and a human and he’s the king of all cats but not humans. Could he have anything to do with the change from cats ruling things to humans?

You know I don't think I agree with April first being Sampo Koski's birthday. As much as I would love for him to be an april baby like me it just doesn't feel right. April first. Yeah I get why people would immediately choose that date. I mean it's right there. Fools day. Pretty easy pick. But I don't think that's right. was he born to be a fool. Was that his only option. Did he have a choice in this. That's why I don't agree with April first being his birthday. You know that's a very popular date. Very obvious. It's a date you always hear a lot of. A date where you're told a prank might be played on you. That wouldn't make the prank fun anymore. Because you were told to be wary of a prank today so you were expecting it when it did happen. Which isn't the point of a prank. The goal usually is to surprise and confuse. can't do either if you're already expecting something. Anyway my point is April first is too predictable of a birthday for Sampo. October 27th. That's a date I just thought of. A random date to me that means nothing. It was the first thing that came to mind. So that's his birthday now.
