ITS LU UPDATE TIME!!!

AND IT IS ALL ABOUT SKY AND IM SO EXCITED :DDDDD

You know what that means! It means a long post by me! :D

Cant wait to be excited about my blorbo for like 30 minutes, so sit get some popcorn and like some earplugs cause i will try to contain my screaming but I've been waiting for more Sky stuff and I'm so excited!!!!

For point, and because I keep forgetting, all the panels I'll be talking about belong to JoJo and @linkeduniverse

Let's do this!

Alright lets get this out of the way first, I love some parallels right, So as per usual, if I need a panel from anything prior I'll let you know where it's from!

Genuinely interested in what exactly this is, Is it a map? Is it a list of places? Is it a paper with time shift shenanigans in it?

I'm not versed in the postman, Is this normal, or did he do this cause he heard Sky and wanted him to think he was waiting?

Putting this together for 1 reason

Postman is a dick, Sky was so close, That can't be more than 10 or so metres at most. Poor man ran across Town out of town to catch up to you for you to go sprinting off into the woods, and my man is full on Olympic sprinting to deliver this mail geesus.

Also, the compulsory return of the king 🧍, Sky is the king of this pose and will not be beaten. Although Legend comes pretty close.

God the expressions in this update are top tier, Sky is just so expressive. Right now, Man is thinking why he does this to himself.

I'm fucking cackling, this art is amazing and Jojo's sister did an amazing job. Like I feel like I can hear this picture with that teasing tone that my siblings would use on me when we were younger. God I love it.

So even though Sky is looking towards Legend here, so I'm totally under the impression that Legend said Wahhhh, and Hyrule said I cant run. As Hyrule was with wars When they got split up initally. Poor Sky, man has become the butt of jokes. Im glad Four is giving them a look, He doesn't look impressed. Its okay Sky, you've got a friend in Four behind you. :D

War's is the real MVP of this arc in my opinion, Man has been in charge of the ragtag chain while Time has been out of action looking over Twilight. He's at the end of his tether.

Part of me wonders if this is going to impact his fighting going forward? Maybe he'll slip up because he's so stressed. He knows not all of them are knighted. These heroes he is with are NOT soldiers and he can't treat them as such.

And this sentence. Don't Interrupt! sounds like he is scolding rowdy recruits, rather than fellow heroes.

Which if you think about it, Sky is giving essentially a scouting report here, He scouted ahead and has returned to speak about his findings. War's is a captain, in his era he's a commanding officer. He's taken reports of this kind before.

Having a panel with Time, Wild and Twilight in Gives me more life than i think i give it credit for. (I am in the crowd that there's a family connection between these three.)

It's also nice to see Wild, like genuinely smiling.

Moving on

These panels are very important to me so give me a moment while I explain.

Sky probably has her words engrained in his mind. You can see the questioning look, and thinking. "Is this going to work?"

That eternal dream That he's talking about, he knows her power is faded, but he's going to try anyway. I just didn't think he would use it to track what I can only assume is the postman.

It's really nice to have Sky's relationship with the master sword put on display. It means a lot to me and has brought me great Joy through this update.

He cares about her. And even if she can't talk to him anymore. He still trusts her to lead him true.

And this panel breaks my heart! Something inside of him probably really hoped Fi would speak to him or give him more of an indication. Sky looks so sad.

I just wanna hug him, and tell him it'll be alright. He's probably thinking about turning around at this point. Maybe he's thinking about how some members of the chain perceive Fi.

Did I go hunting for the references, Yes I Did.

I think the following area is the area where they pull Twilight too, rather than the battle field and he then moved on from here to get to the battle field.

From sunset pt4

The pillar behind Sky has the only slant I can think of. It looks to be the same angle, but that could just be me.

If it is that location, it might be closer to that battlefield than we originally (Or at least I originally) assumed.

God i love him

Blorbo beloved! Is about as shocked as i am with the whole Mailman thing.

The confidence of this man is unreal. He's ready, he's moving he's going. He's going and ain't going to stop.

Me absolutely yelling at how this portal looks, it so ANGRY, But we know the Shadow is pissed right now. And if the shadow is making these portals and he's angry. I think the chain might be in for a surprise as they move on to the next location.

Which if I have to be honest. I think is going to be Skyloft. I think we are moving into a Sky arch, having had a Twilight Arc. (I also really want to see Skyloft in this universe, and there's an opportunity here. We've had more master sword things. We've had Sky content. who knows where Jojo will take this next, but I'm excited either way.)

Finally back to the chain! :D

Wind's little 3:< face as he's thinking is giving the energy of an upcoming detective arch, He is thinking and he is thinking HARD okay.

Poor Sky. Man has been running around doing all the hard work while the rest of them just enjoy themselves. Hyrule especially is kinda like 'Ohhh... our bad...'

It's actually a kinda guilty look, maybe he feels a little bad about the teasing from earlier?

Now i gotta mention the potion thing, cause its just so damn funny not too. Sky my blorbo slow down you are gonna choke on the stamina potion.

But.

I want to focus on War's here.

And Wild too.

These two. These two are important.

Wild has gone from happy and chill vibes to Oh shit real quick.

After everything he put into the Shadow, while the shadow was injured and watched as the thing exploded. It just decided to come back or something. And Wild, here I imagine is thinking, "How was that not enough..."

Now Wars.

War's is Stood not looking at anything, In fact, I think he's looking past Time. The last thing he said was a two word scolding but apart from that he's been awfully quiet. Now he looks like he's thinking. He's closed off, protective.

The only time I can see where he does this is when he's in what I'm going to call, 'Captain mode.' So, When he's flicked something in his head that tells him he has to be a knight.

He dosent do it often, in fact from what I can see he does it 4 other times.

Devine dark reflections pt 8 - when he's talking about knighthood with Sky and Hyrule

Sunset pt11 - When talking about Wild, and the fact that he's left

Sunset pt13 - When speaking to Twilight about pulling his own weight

Dawn pt 2 - when Twilight is talking about the team they are.

And now here in Dawn 7 - Where they are discussing the fact that an enemy they fought escaped or survived.

All conversations I would assume a captain would have to have with his men at one point or another. I wonder what He's thinking here. It's got me thinking.

Woah, So this took me longer than I thought. I am on the 4-hour mark now. Lmaoooo

"Uki, we're on stream," Fulgar laughs and elicits another drawn out sigh from the Psychic. "We're on call with the others."

"Yeah save it for later," Alban jokes light-heartedly. Sonny makes an agreeing noise.

Uki whines a bit more before going silent. The rest of them continue their conversations with one another. Little did the others know that Uki and Fulgar were actually in the same house together. They decided to meet each other IRL and was planning to do an off-collab. The two hit off right away, conversations full of laughter and affection.

"Fufu-chan, you're so cute," Uki mumbles, leaning back in his chair and his head resting on the headrest. His eyes began to flutter. "Very cute."

"Well, you're cuter Ukiki," Fulgar laughs and Uki could hear him from the other room. Uki smiles gently. "Remember to drink some water and eat some food, yeah?"

Uki murmurs a "mhm" before his eyes flutter shut. The talk of his friends became like background music to him and he began to nod off. The others haven't realized just yet until the Comfydants began asking questions.

"Hey, Uki, are you alright? I just realized when the Comfydants kept asking heavily."

"Uki?"

Startled awake upon hearing his name, Uki sits up and sits straight, rubbing his eye. He says with a drowsy and drunken tone, "Huh yeah?"

"Were you sleeping?"

"Yeah, sorry... you guys were just talking and I feel asleep. Like, background music. I think I might've dozed off for a few..."

Fulgar nods. "Uki, would you like to end your stream and just chill in mine? Or if you're really tired, you can just end stream and go rest."

"...yeah." Uki mumbles, agreeing to the first option.

"Alright, alright," Fulgar replies softly. "Whenever you feel like you need to go, I'll continue or just end stream."

The crew say their goodbyes and Uki goes to Fulgar's stream. They talk for a good half an hour, and Fulgar notices how sleepy Uki seems.

"Uki..." he starts with a chuckle. "Are you sure you don't want to sleep?"

"'M fine," Uki responds, all the while with a yawn. "I want to stay and talk to you more, Fu-chan..."

"You can later. you need to rest. I will end this stream," Fulgar threatens, but he says it with a smile on his lips.

Uki sighs heavily. "At least give me a kiss first."

"I will if you listen first."

Uki rolls his eyes with a laugh. "Fine."

Fulgar waits until Uki logs off completely. He talks to his Comfydants a bit more before finally saying his farewells. He switches off and removes his headphones. He rises to his feet and stretches for a moment.

He opens the door carefully and walks out the room. They booked a hotel together for a good couple of days. It was a nice place, and they got separate rooms. The two mostly spent their time in the living room, where they would relax with each other. Fulgar enjoyed his time with Uki; the Psychic had such a soothing prescence and never once made the Cyborg feel uncomfortable. In fact, he felt very at home with Uki. And he always made sure to let Uki know that. Uki was very dear to Fulgar, and he always wanted to make sure Uki was okay as a whole.

He steps close to Uki's door, rapping the wood with his knuckles gently. A slurred, "come in" answered and Fulgar enters. He finds the purple-haired man laying on his bed, a hand to his forehead. As Fulgar approaches him, he sees a flush to Uki's cheeks. Fulgar stands over Uki with a chuckle, Uki watching him with soft and bleary eyes.

"Now, where's my kiss, Fufu-chan?" Uki asks, letting his hand rest on his chest now.

"Yes yes, you're getting the kiss you oh-so deserved." Fulgar leans down with a playful grin, his lips brushing against Uki's forehead for a brief moment. He quickly stood back up and turned his back, his heart rate strangely increasing and a heat to his cheeks. "Well, good night Uki. Have a nice rest."

His metal hand wraps around the door knob and he was just about to open the door when the Psychic calls out quietly, "Fufu-chan."

Fulgar turns his head, cocking it to the side. "Yes?"

Uki gazes at him for a good minute, his expression blank. He whines softly, "Can you stay? just until I fall asleep?"

"...oh." Fulgar blushes a tad, smiling affectionately. He expected it, but also didn't quite expect it either. "Of course. Anything for you, babe."

Uki laughs and turns on his side to watch Fulgar places himself in the chair at Uki's desk, where Uki was previously streaming. His pretty eyes twinkle and crinkle a bit, obviously finding Fulgar endearing. It was kind of hard to connect to someone on such a level, but here he was, wanting to be with one person and that person was Fulgar Ovid.

"Would you like me to sing a lullaby?" Fulgar teases, resting a elbow on the armrest with a expressive wave of his hand.

"Thatd be nice, actually," Uki smirks, his hair falling in his face.

Another chortle from Fulgar as he opens his mouth to sing a sweet melody just for Uki Violeta.

Uki woke first, groaning softly as he turns onto his back. He lays there for awhile, eyes closed as he breathes, his slight migraine subsiding with each exhale. Uki hears another set of breaths and he opens an eye. Fulgar sat in his chair, fast asleep. Slightly leaning to the left, arms on arms rest and his legs crossed at the ankles. Fulgar's expression is peaceful and at ease, soft snores filling the air. Uki smiles at the sight, the sweet and funny Cyborg sleeping in the same room as him with such a sweet expression.

Uki rolls out of bed quietly and tiptoes to Fulgar. He stands in front of him, just observing him. His ruffled clothes, his smooth hair that covered his eyes, his jawline, his partly opened mouth. God, never has Uki wanted to kiss someone so bad before. His heart races at the thought of it, and his cheeks flame a bit.

'He wouldn't want to kiss me,' he thought to himself, leaning down so his face was level with Fulgar's. 'Although he did give me a goodnight kiss, I don't think it was anything more... but I wish it was.'

Uki brushes Fulgar's hair out his face, his fingertips trailing down to his jaw and then cupping his face with one hand. It fit perfectly in his palm he noted, rubbing gentle circles against Fulgar's cheek bone. The Cyborg makes a small sound and it takes all of Uki's will to not recoil immediately. He was afraid he had waken him up, but Fulgar just shifts, towards Uki's touch with a content exhale.

Uki's heart swells. Oh. My. God. He presses his lips together to stop a related squawk from slipping past his lips. Holy shit, this man was fucking adorable!

Uki wanted to return the kiss from last night suddenly. (Or rather, he just wanted an excuse to have contact with Fulgar's skin with his lips.) He inches closer to Fulgar's face, anxiety creeping in. The Psychic swallows hard, blushing profusely. He stayed a few good centimeters away from Fulgar's lips and was debating whether or not to go for it.

Uki inwardly sighs, deciding against kissing Fulgar because thatd be one hell of a ride if Fulgar suddenly woke up and found Uki... well. you know. Uki raises his head a few inches and presses his lips against Fulgar's forehead gently.

A hand seizes Uki's wrist, causing Uki to make a sort of strangled sound as he jerks back. A sleepy, but now awake, Fulgar narrows his eyes at Uki, who now looked like he was caught red-handed.

"Uki, what were you doing?"

"Uh... I..." Uki desperately tried to find the right words without sounding like a complete idiot. Cheeks bright red and slightly sweating. "How long were you awake?"

"The moment you woke up. I heard you groan."

'Well, fuck me,' Uki thought, cursing himself.

Fulgar studies Uki for a moment, then moves Uki's hand back to his face again. Uki stares, surprised, as Fulgar smirks. "Uki, you need to learn boundaries. However, since it's you..."

He sits up and leans close to Uki's face. "I don't mind what you do to me."

Hard. Hard as a fucking diamond.

"You don't?" Uki asks, without complaint going along with whatever was happening. He brings Fulgar's face close. "What if I decided to kiss you right now?"

The Cyborg's gaze slides away, cheeks burning. His gaze slides back and he tilts his head. "I'd let you."

So Uki went for it.

Uki's lips brush against Fulgar's own, hesitantly. He felt anxiety wracking his body because what if Fulgar suddenly realized, this isn't what he wanted? That he didn't want Uki?

Fulgar must've felt his distress because he takes Uki's face with his cold metal hands, deepening the kiss. He pulls the Pyschic into him, Uki having no choice but to sit himself in his lap. Not that Uki minded, not one bit.

Uki's other hand runs through Fulgar's hair, and Fulgar hums happily. He would have never thought Uki's lips were so soft, like he was kissing angel's wings. Fulgar suddenly wanted to taste him further, his left hand grasping the back of Uki's neck carefully as he nips at Uki's lower lip.

Uki immediately knows what Fulgar wants and opens his mouth and they make out passionately, Fulgar's tongue dancing with Uki's at a fiery pace. Uki can't help but moan into the open-mouthed kiss, pressing himself close to Fulgar.

Maybe they lashed out when Cinnamonpaw was accepted as gone? When it was mentioned Mink was the only cat on the patrol with them? Intro

I commissioned Hika to draw my beloved XanLena ❤️💜🔥🪷

Selena is my beloved KHR OC and wife 💜🪷

Her name is Nguyễn Selena, and her Vietnamese name is Nguyễn Nguyệt Vân Liên. Her Viet name, Liên, means "lotus" in Sino-Viet 🪷

She is a Viet NB assassin with a calm and aloof personality, who's reserved and mainly keeps to herself, but cheerful around people she's close to. Her design is NB flag colours 💜🖤🤍💛

She has an interest in gardening (collecting flowers, plants, learning about different types of poisons), and fashion (collecting clothes, including traditional clothes) 💐👗

The round lines and shapes... OMGGG ✨ I love the colours too!

I love how Hika drew Selena's eyelashes and underlashes with the dots...

I asked Hika to draw TYL Xanxus' design since I felt like his TYL (Ten Years Later) design would be easier to draw.

Hika originally chose a dark blue BG colour for the both of them, but changed it to yellow and red respectively to make them stand out more!

The blue ones were nice, but omg the final versions Hika went with, do reflect their actual colours better. These fit them better! Matching eye colors (plus it makes their hair stand out from the BG more)

Since Selena and Xanxus are toned with blue/purple in Hika's colours, the new BGs have more visual contrast!

Hika was very accommodating with minor colour edits and revisions as well! 🙏

I wanna commission Hika to draw JuAli and IdaTatsu with my headcanon designs of them in the future 🥰💘✨

I love their expressions 🥰🫶 The thick round lines and shapes in your chibi style are great. I love how you draw dot eyelashes in your chibi style!

The colours are amazing! The orange~ish red and blue tones you chose for Xanxus has such nice visual contrast!

I love how the background colours you chose match their eye colours too~ It really brings out their designs' overall colour schemes and hair ❤️💛

I feel like the KHR ani style goes for a much more generic art style, compared to Amano's unique art style.

For Xanxus' late manga design (Rainbow arc Xanxus), Amano improves the shape of his hair and makes it more wavy and easier to draw.

Amano has an amazing art style, and really detailed lineart and inking. She's one of the biggest inspirations for me. Her style was honestly very inspirational for me...

I started drawing everyday as a kid (at 11) BECAUSE of KHR, so KHR is very important and personal to me. I first watched KHR and read the manga at 11.

Amano's style is honestly defining to my style - It shows in the way I draw faces and eyes.

I'm not big on the KHR ani's art style, but I do appreciate what it gave us with the chibi interviews, character songs, etc. It's also cuz of the KHR ani that we (somehow) get endless KHR merch.

I prefer the manga designs, but I prefer the ani's colours for the charas because the KHR ani generally gave the KHR cast more skintone variety (when everyone was pasty in the original manga)

The KHR ani did such a great job by giving the KHR charas more skintone variety... Even pale charas in the KHR ani have different skin tones from each other.

Original vs. My Edit

I headcanon Xanxus to have tanner/warmer skin.

Xanxus with darker skin (olive skin in the KHR ani, and either olive or tan skin in certain KHR ani merch arts), literally just looks better from a character design perspective, imo. That's just facts 📠

His design has much better colour contrast with the ani colours. Like the black and red colours in his design contrast better with darker skin. Also against his blood/wine red eyes. It has more colour harmony and cohesiveness in terms of the colours

Xanxus with pale skin has less cohesiveness in terms of the colours

Xanxus, Yamamoto, and Ryouhei's designs just look so much more boring, pale, imo.

For KHR, I go manga design + ani colours + my own take on the ani colours.

Since I have a tendency to saturate colours with my own arts.

As a personal HC, I think Xanxus has a very mixed ethnicity.

My Italian American friend Feuri said Southern Italy and namely Sicily has a more mixed population.

The ani colours provide a good base for me to work off of for me to improve the colours :3

I do colour edits for fun. I like playing around with colours (editing official arts to see how the colours work together) to help guide my arts. I either do colour edits first or just immediately start picking colours for my arts

I usually hand artists a Drive folder filled with XanLena's art refs (including my own doodles) and write some notes on their design details since this makes things easier for the artists I'm commissioning.

Selena is Vietnamese/SEAsian with light tanned skin. She has black hair with a long ponytail that goes down to around the same length as her long front hair strands, and wears a white blouse with frills and a black seam with white buttons. She wears a black pleated skirt with a white line near the ends, and black thigh highs with horizontal white diamonds, and black doll-like shoes.

Since Xanxus wears a brown fluffy accessory, red feathers (that may be dyed red -> orange -> yellow), green strings with red beads, I don't mind if the artists I comm simplify these details.

So, whenever I commission artists, I ask for them to draw my HC versions! I'm very glad that all the artists I've commissioned have been very accommodating! 🙏💖

The modern remakes of old 90s - 2000s animes have such boring and bland dull colours to me.

I seriously fear that if they ever do a KHR remake or reboot, that they're gonna take away the OG KHR ani's better colours and make everyone look pasty pale (just like in the manga) just for "manga authenticity" and "loyalty to the source material" even though everyone looks so much more boring pasty pale!!! 🧍
