+++🙏🏻God Bless🕊️+++
Reverend Dimitri Prilutsky, Vologda
MEMORIAL DAY FEBRUARY 24
From above, Reverend, you received spiritual grace from God, and from Him you were known (1 Corinthians 13:12), blessed one, for His sake you also spiritually knew His best, the life of the Next century, having fasted yourself in your mansions. And now, rejoicing with the angels, pray to the Savior of all of us, Saint Demetrius, and we all cry out to you: "Glory to Him Who gave you strength, glory to Him Who crowned you, glory to Him Who gives healing to all through you."

May the blessing of the Lord be upon you!

I drew this art almost a year ago, in the era of the “Hi, Barbie!” meme, but in Russian style 💃 This is Varya (Barbie = Barbara, the Russian variation of this name is Varvara), she is from Veliky Ustyug and is dressed in a wedding suit. You know, in the Vologda province people seemed to really love pink fabrics 🌺 👄

Russian women near the Sharshenga River praying to trees
Russian women near the Sharshenga River praying to trees. Kozma Prazhsky in the Czech Chronicle (XII century) reported that the Slavs prayed to trees in sacred groves. A similar observation was made by the German chronicler Helmgold (XII century), who described the life and customs of the Polabian Slavs.
One of the veneration of trees among the Eastern Slavs, it is mentioned in the "Life of Constantine of Murom", and John Chrysostom spoke about the facts of the existence of special prayers to trees among the Slavic people. [He did more than that; he persecuted people who did that, in his own region of Syira and Asia Minor.] This practice is well known even today in Christianity. People didn't throw away their praying rituals of the past…

🔨Petak Island Prison where Artyom Anufriev is currently imprisoned for life🔨
Full name – Federal state institution "Correctional Colony No. 5 of the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Vologda region"
one of the special regime penal colonies for life prisoners in Russia; located in the former Kirillo-Novoezersk monastery on Lake Novy (Ognenny Island) near the city of Belozersk, in the Belozersk district of the Vologda region.
A little bit about this prison
The prisoner's day starts at 6:00 and ends at 22:00.While awake, they occupy TV, radio, books, work and walks. It is strictly forbidden to sit down or lie down on the bed during the day, a chair is provided for such purposes.
Prisoners walk for an hour and a half every day.
I'm going to write about their nutrition now:
• breakfast is porridge.Tea with sugar or compote
•lunch-soup with meat or fish, buckwheat or pearl barley porridge for the second course
• dinner-vegetables, porridge or pasta and tea.
In the colony, prisoners have the opportunity to work. They sew mittens, padded jackets and hats. They kill time - an hour and a half. They receive money for their work and transfer it to their personal account. They can buy food in a separate store especially for them. Those who have been sitting for 10 years or more have the opportunity to buy a larger thing, for example, a TV.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to escape from prison.5,000 rubles (approximately) are spent per prisoner per month.
