Bio: Despite how feathery this ghostly Buddy is, it's actually flightless and can only stay on the ground to get around! Its powerful legs can help it run at great speeds and while it does so, it cries out with a spooky-sounding song that can be heard for miles. Rumor has it that it sings in order to find others just like it, but it otherwise travels alone.

yknow. i think what makes the "friends don't just do that!!!" argument for buddie even more silly to me is that...i literally do do that. in fact i would argue that i do way more than buck does for eddie or christopher, excluding the tsunami of course. my roommate is my best friend. we are not dating nor have we ever dated in the nearly 15 years we've known each other. she's fully 1000% straight. and i literally co-parent her kids. like actually live-in co-parent, not babysitting and group hangouts. we've lived together since her middle child was 6 months old, so over 5 years now. i was at the hospital when all 3 of her kids were born. i do school drop off and i'm debating joining the pta this year.

i love her and those kids so much and they are absolutely my family and i would do anything for them.

and it's still fully platonic.

so, like. can you not fathom caring about people unless it's romantic? really???? i'm truly not diminishing anything about buck and eddie's friendship, nor buck's relationship with chris, i fully believe they are soulmates and family no matter what weird form that takes, but good grief this insistence that buck's caring about christopher is some sort of romantic gotcha for him and eddie drives me up the damn wall.

you know what you sound like when you insist that they've gotta have romantic feelings just because of chris? you sound like every gross straight man i've ever met who leers at me and asks if i'm "getting something" out of helping out my best friend. so congrats on that, i guess.

Shadow the menace

Fanfic prompt: considering the fact that four had to deal with shadow straight up bombing him he probably would’ve learned to just bolt whenever a shadow creature is standing menacingly in the air

All of him learned it because even when he turned to the side of good he still drops the bombs on four (so that the colors remain vigilant because he is a good friend of course )

The chain ends up in his Hyrule and they certainly didn’t learn such a lesson so when they see a shadow appear they immediately prepare for combat

But the second they see the usually fearless four start running like hell is on his heels they followed especially because he kept cursing bad enough that even Wind looked concerned

And not a second to late because immediately after running behind a bolder an explosion goes off

And while the others are still trying to orientate themselves and stop the ringing in their ears (four was the only one covering his ears because of the amount of experience he has with explosives)

And they are helpless as they see the shadow link get close with only four still on his feet

For some reason four isn’t drawing his sword

They are doomed

When the shadow strikes at four everyone is already closing their eyes to not see him be killed

When they hear four screaming they open their eyes to see four on the ground and the shadow on him

And four just starts petting him

Wait what's happening right now?!

They quickly catch themselves standing up to fight the monster

But four just picks him up and hugs him close

TELLING HIM HE MISSED HIM !?!‘!.?,.KL!.!?

the chain then gets introduced to shadow and as they stare dumbfoundedly while following four to his grandfather’s house

Shadow somehow managed to one up his antics again when time tried to say hallo

That demon hissed at him and both four and his grandpa started to tell him to stop scaring him

The chain quickly found out there exists someone who somehow was even more horrible then all their worst enemies combined

That night they were forced to sleep with one eye open because shadow was staring at them from above the wardrobe (except for some ungodly reason Wind won that monster's favor because he and shadow were both pranking the chain they were like dynamite and fire )

Shadow is like a cat with eldrich powers and always hanging of four who doesn’t even flinch when the other bites him in the arm (he just keeps petting him )

The betrayal the entire chain felt when four (whose eyes looked very violett at that moment) said that they should probably learn how to safely escape from explosives and if shadow would be so kind as to show them

Was unparalleled by any other dread they have ever experienced

Abilities: Stimmy Spin: When you can't bounce or dance or sing, this is the best thing a Buddy can do. Antimatter Aura: Anything that gets close to this Buddy will vanish into a cloud of dark particles.

Bio: Nothing is hungrier than this Buddy, which wanders around just to find something to munch on. Whatever it eats gets turned into an oil that powers its machinery, so eating a lot is a must! It doesn't move very fast but it might follow closely if you have food with you. If it eats too much, it might leak oil everywhere.

q is so funny because he's like super nonchalant about everything when you start the series and then toey does literally anything and this man is suddenly the most chalant person to grace this earth. who gives a shit about logic when toey is batting his cute eyes at him

I wish there were was a scene or two where it is Sokka who has to pull Aang out of the avatar state frenzy.

Maybe Katara isn’t around for some reason (dealing with an active threat or she was just too far away) and it's Sokka that has to step up. because I do like the gradual growth of his reaction of aang in the avatar state going from complete fear to not leaving the area to stay with aang and I think it would have been a nice ed to have him be the one to pull aang out of it one time.

Not because I want to undermine Kataang because they are great. I do not want to ship sokka and Aang. But I just think it would have really added another layer to Sokka and Aang’s friendship besides them being silly and having fun together. I don’t think they really have any introspective moments with just each other like taht and I think one or 2 scenes like this would have deepened their friendship immensely (not that’s it’s not already great!)

Just Sokka deciding that Katara’s not here and Aang needs help now and so he’s got to do it. Every instinct he has is telling him to back away but he’s got to push through because Aang is his best friend, his brother and he’s not going to leave him.

I just think that would have been a nice little bow on their friendship arc with sokka being the more distrusting and harder to win over of the siblings. Like Kind of the inverse of Zuko and Katara’s friendship.

Like can you just imagine Sokka going; “ I got you buddy, I got you I’m right here” as he grips Aang tightly because he’s not the best at comforting words and and so all he can do is hold Aang close and remind him that he’s there that he’ll always be there for him.

I think that would’ve have been amazing.
