I never really ask for art suggestions here but I thought I would give it a try with this one here! I know I’m a bit late but I thought it would be fun to try this out comment down on this post and give me any ships and a day you would like to see them, can be from any fandoms or originals, also they don’t have to be canon.

first Their first kiss is nothing glamorous, fancy, or smooth. There’s no hesitation, caution, or uncertainty. They aren’t a pair of fumbling teenagers or experienced lovers, they are adventurers and survivors. They just barely survived a trapped encounter that left Dorian possessed and Laudna critically injured.

worship Her pale, cold fingers prance across his warm, blue chest like the wind, like dancing nymphs, like she was playing a piano, never resting in one place for longer than a moment, memorizing how his muscles tensed and relaxed.

stolen Slowly, slowly... Dorian was sitting at the tavern booth, eyes glassy as he focused on something off in the distance Laudna couldn’t see, a barely touched mug of ale before him. Carefully, cautiously... Orym and Fearne were chatting about something next to him, but he wasn’t paying attention to their conversation, too lost in whatever was going on in his head. She was a sneaky, scary woman...

shy His gaze flickers down to her lips, and she remains perfectly still as one hand hesitantly, shyly, raises up to caresses her cheek, palm warm against her cheek when he rests it there. His eyes are searching her face for any sign of disapproval, but she knows he won’t find any. “You can kiss me,” she whispered, the words hovering between their faces before Dorian leaned down, lips brushing shyly, carefully, like she was made of porcelain.

Technically part 5 of Kissartfebruary challenge by @violettenouvel , this time not with OCS, but with my fav Couples from Castlevania! Had fun with these so hope ya like

First is Day 9 is complete, this time it is a rough sketch of Trevor and Sypha, the best couple only second to Dracula and Lisa. After an argument, Sypha is the playful kiss and make up type, whilst the stubborn Belmont is quick to "Deny" it despite him actually needing one.

Second is my fav, and boy did I have fun with Day 13. Knew I had to do another Castlevania sketch and who better than the best couple Dracula and Lisa. Wholesome but laced with angst as the theme is "Farewell". Imagine it...this was the last goodbye between husband and wife before he experiences the world and travels as asked from the one he loves. What a cruel world it is to take away the only thing tethering a broken man to reality and the last thread of his humanity burnt away to ashes.

Last but not least is yet another Castlevania fix! A Belnades and Belmont sketch once more being adorable! A quick peck on the "Shoulder" on Sypha's badass scar from Trevor! Hope ya like and stay tuned!!

Part 8 of Kissartfebruary challenge by @violettenouvel , and back once more with the purple space kitties!! This was a lot of fun to do exploring the different ways to express affection through kisses and I had a lot of fun! This is what I have.

First was day 19, God they are such cheesy romantics, makes you wanna yell "OMG, GET A ROOM!!!!". But back with the tooth rotting sweetness of the space kitties being precious. It is proven that kisses are just as effective on the "Neck(back)", not just front, so give love where it is due!

Second was Day 20, and the question stands. Am I gonna continue drawing an older couple being cheesy af and still madly in love? Yes. Yes I am. Had to draw Duram and Aeryn again, and I don't care what anyone says, true love can withstand even against the testaments of time. I'd say they exchange kisses on the "cheek" daily.

Third, It's Moira's turn to make someone a blushing mess... Ulaz is usually the calm collected type, and Moira is the shyer of the pair, but she can have her moments of confidence. "Ears" are the most sensitive part, so it makes one a little nervous from the embarrassment.

Last and final drawing of them for the challenge is Day 26, Ulaz and Moira are back once more. Years ago I drew an angsty pic of their last farewell where Moira gave him a kiss on the "forehead" to wish him luck. So kinda redrew it again. Hope ya like and stay tuned

The Doctor as an Alice

So as promised, based on commentary I made here, and reminded by this post, I wanted to get out my thoughts on the Doctor and Companion as the Peter and Wendy, or "Annie's obsessed with the Alice archetype and makes it everyone else's problem."

I've seen the Eleven and Amy comparison more than once for Peter and Wendy, and I agree...to a point. I'd been making a (admittedly generalized and cis-normative statement) about how the Doctor continuously attracts female companions, not necessarily in a romantic way, but that women seem to get along with him (or her!) the best, and it always seems on the surface like that Peter taking Wendy by the hand and going on dangerous adventures--but I think it's also because these girls, these women see something the same as themselves.

Sure, the Doctor is Peter Pan, is the Goblin King, the Wizard of Oz, to the companions, but unlike those characters who only know the Other World and being the Other, he's also experienced this narrative from the opposite end, and THAT'S why I think he clicks so well and so specifically with certain companions.

The Doctor is also Wendy, Alice, Dorothy, Sarah. It's why Rose and Amy (regardless of if you view either as romantic chemistry), the weird girls of the bunch (and if there's one thing a weird girl will always relate to, it's an Alice), had such great chemistry: they were both the audience viewpoint, the Alice taken on an adventure, shown a wider world than she had any idea existed beyond her daily life.

But unlike Peter, unlike the inhabitants of a Wonderland, The Doctor knows exactly how that feels. To him, the universe isn't mundane at all, because he was raised in society, that while yes, time travel and space travel was ordinary, it was such a rigid and academic social structure with so little mobility. Time Lords weren't encouraged to seek beauty and wonder, they were encouraged to seek order, balance, and (even if their philosophy didn't expressly state it ) power.

So naturally, to humans, he's Peter Pan at the window. On Gallifrey, he's the one who ran away from what was expected of him, flew away, and went off to fantastic worlds, he's Wendy Darling.When Rose sees Earth burn, when Amy experiences the beauty of space for the first time, he understands, Alice-to-Alice, Wendy-to-Wendy.

More than that though, I'm fascinated by is that by the Doctor being both Peter and Wendy, he's the hero and the heroine (given the fact that the updated canon on Gallifrey is that they're very fluid when it comes to concepts of gender this suits enormously) which means...that he's also the one who always has to save himself in the end. He's the only character in the story who is both archetypes at once, the only one of his kind, etc.

Except for the Master, and Clara, and maybe River, definitely Jack, Bad Wolf that one time, and maybe...well, it's fine. The Doctor is a bit moody and always likes to say he's forever alone.

This isn't the sum total of my thoughts on the subject, and it's not a thesis that I've really gone through and tried to find evidence to defend it yet either, but it's been rattling around in my brain since last summer when I started the rewatch of all of nuWho.

day 2 of #kissartfebruary - sleepy (otani and risa) challenge by violettenouvel

I had come across @violettenouvel #kissartfebruary and had to participate!

I forgot to include the day and the prompt name (First Kiss)- maybe I was too excited because this is the first full color anything I actually completed since I had these two cosplaying as Sarah and Jareth the Goblin King. I can’t promise the others will be just as grand as this one- I have an important project I have to complete so the rest might be clean inks with tones.

You know OceanPetals had to be first lol

Sunsets are their thing at least when I draw them. Don’t ask me why I gave Fleur so many blues/blue violets in her design, I was too excited drawing the first time I guess 😅 The background I wanted to use at first was a moonlight but it was making her disappear.

Their first kiss happens sometime after Fleur gives her big confession to Razer. Oh boy do I have a preliminary script for her dialogue. One of these days we’ll see it as either a comic or storyboard mock up.

A soft yet firm first kiss to show the emotions of that moment. Fleur’s been dying to kiss Razer, and the knowledge of having her feelings reciprocated makes it all the more beautiful to her.

I’m pretty proud of myself with this coloring style. Mostly line-less aside from areas that really needed it. I plan to work more in this coloring style to get it to a place where I feel confident doing it more often.

Hey 😄 I decided to participate in #kissartfebruarychallenge created by @violettenouvel I can't promise that the drawings will be more than sketches, or that I'll post daily, or even finish them all in February, but they do look like fun, and I love to draw smoochies! 😄 The theme "first" fits particularly well with these two characters of mine. Part 7 for Kissartfebruary challenge by @violettenouvel , and instead of OC and Castlevania stuff, let it be other canon ships I love from Star wars and Vampire hunter D. First time drawing them so bear with me.🤣😅.

Technically my first but certainly won't be the last of me drawing my fav Star wars couple Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus! The theme was "Hair" for Day 17, and I am not 100 percent sure if her Lekku constitute as such, but hey close enough. Plus they are adorable being the sweetest pair!

Secondly, anyone remember Vampire hunter D: Bloodlust? This time decided to draw the best couple Charlotte Elbourne and Meier Link for the Day 18 "Neck(Crook)" . If you haven't seen this movie and you love classic anime, please watch it! The animation and art are beyond it's time and is beautifully done!

Last one is Charlotte and Meier back again for Day 24, and this one is pretty good for a second attempt! They both are such the perfect embodiment of longing and pure intimacy, so true to each other and their love for one another! Quite intimate to receive a kiss on the "Wrist". Hope ya like and stay tuned!!
