Night at the Museum: Redesigning Characters 2/4(?)
Character profile: Al "Scarface" "Snorky" Capone
This character is based off of and takes inspiration from the historical Al Capone.
Real Name: Alphonse "Al" Gabriel Capone
Nickname and Meaning: Scarface - He earned this nickname because of the three scars on the left side of his face, two on his cheek and one on his neck. Embarrassed by them, Al hates the nickname and never shared the real story of how he got them, siting that he actually got them fighting in WWI.
Snorky - Snorky was slang for sharp dresser. Al loved expensive, flashy clothes. Only close friends used it for him
Age: 26 (January 17, 1899)
Time Period: America's Prohibition in the 1920s, around mid-1925 Johnny Torrio, Al's boss, stepped down and let Al take over the Outfit.
Family: James "Jimmy" Vincenzo Capone, Raffaele "Ralph" James Capone, and Salvador "Frank" Capone + Three younger brothers and one sister that wasn't brought back.
Tumblr media
(Headcanons under the cut)
Based on/taken from History:
Can play Banjo and Mandolin, prefers Mandolin
involved in the Five Points Gang with mobster John Torrio as a kid. John Torrio mentored him and gave him the role as the Chicago Mob leader
Only got into the mob for the money to care for his family
Can go from 1 to 10 very quickly
Played in a semi-pro team in Brooklyn as a kid/teen with Ralph. They were known as the Al Capone Stars
+ Intelligent + Generous + Confident - Overdramatic - Attention seeker - Petty
My own silly headcanons:
A little twerp, Al doesn’t respect authority
Feels that he’s better than Ivan and Napoleon because he’s from a newer generation and knows more.
“Okay boomer” vibes
Acts like he hates Napoleon and Ivan (mostly Napoleon), but likes them secretly. They are two men in history that did grand things- in fact he liked learning about Napoleon in school! Al just thinks he had a too big of a head.
Only has one tone of voice- really loud
Swears every other word
He’s a basically still a kid, one with too much power. Al knows his way around the mob, he’s been in it since he was around 15, but now he’s been given power over the Outfit and hasn’t come down off that high yet of being in charge.
Hes happy to have Frank back, they were four years apart in age and were extremely close. He’s missed Frank the year he’s been dead
Was extremely tempted to play baseball using the Einstein’s as balls. He doesn’t like them.
On that note, Al is slightly unnerved around the miniatures. He doesn’t seem to know what to do with himself around them.
He likes sitting at the bench in middle of the hall of miniatures just watching them. Al liked Cowboys and liked playing cowboys and robbers with his brothers as a kid. Some part of him wishes he could be part of their group.
After finding the Sinatra songs made after Al died, he’s constantly found humming them and making up his own lyrics to go along with them. He likes That’s Life the best.
Al somehow acquires a camcorder and films the whole night that they’re trying to take over the world, making himself a big star and part of the plan. He wants that stardom, he loved it when he was alive – he was just getting a part of it when he was alive
Really loves making up nicknames and short stories for people around him. One of his favorite things to do with Ralph is people-watch.
Al: I don’t like Napoleon! He’s a fuckin’.. fuckin’ bitch! A short ass goblin! Ralph: Yeah.. goblin’ that dick. Frank: MMHHEHEHAHAHAHAHAAH!!! Al: What.
Makes jokes about Napoleon and his boys being gay because he's frightened about questioning his own sexuality. He knows he likes women, but he's got that good ol' "1910's Christian beat the gay away" ideal still stuck in his head. It takes a bit for Al to realize he's bi
Loves giving gifts
He likes having at least one of his brothers by his side. Historically it's been Ralph, but during the events that take place during NATM 2, Al kept Frank close because he was frightened of loosing him again.

I loved, loved, LOVED how you continued this fic! When Louis started to talk about horses, that made me so happy! It made me remember reading something about how the Capone’s interacted with horses in their lives! After going through the dozen or more different cites I collected last year for my Sophomore research paper (not including the books I pirated) and looking up other somewhat creditable sites (specifically about Ralph), I found some stuff that I think is pretty cool!
I couldn’t find anything around Al, besides what I think is a Horse Breeder that’s using Al’s name for race horses. I didn’t look too much into it because while writing this and doing research I was on my school’s Wi-Fi and my school doesn’t like its students looking at horses for sale, I guess - haha. From my books, it seems like his interest in horses showed up at the end of his life when he was sick.
Ralph Capone and Richard James Hart (the eldest Capone Brother who ran away) were the two that I seemed the most interested in horses.
Starting with Ralph (because he is my favorite), it seemed like he really loved horses! I can’t find anything that he rode them, but he did own a racehorse named Charm who won in mid-February 1930. Their rider was a jockey named J.W. Rrye (I looked him up, but I couldn’t find anything about him). His profits landed him in jail for 2 1/2 year in, I think 1929 or 1931. There’s a really cool picture of him, Rrye, and a couple other people here. He also owned a pipe with a horse carved onto it (there’s also a picture on the site of it).
Richard James Hart is the brother who ran away to become a cowboy! From the books I’ve read, when he was younger, he would go to Coney Island and hang around near the stalls to watch the ponies he couldn’t afford to ride. Later in life he did become a Sheriff in Homer, Nebraska, which leads me to think he did have a horse at that time because they are an easy way to travel, and he loved Cowboys and wanted to be one.
When Louis and the Russian soldiers were talking about the horses, I imagine that Ralph heard them from across the museum and started to go through some papers to find Charm's records and sprint over to chatter about horses to them, haha.
Proud to say that the second and third chapter are posted!
It was supposed to be one whole chapter but upon seeing that it was 11,000 words long, i decided to cut it in two parts :’)
Have fun reading all of that folks! Also, enjoy Gustave being a huge mess with Louis in the third chapter, i like them so much sksbksnd
Anyway!!! It’s all for me !!

Howdy again! I’m back with another Al Capone Fact from Al Capone: his Life, Legacy, and Legend by Deirdre Bair!!! This time, I want to tell you a bit about Al’s eldest brother, Vincenzo “Jimmy” Capone.
Jimmy loved cowboys and wanted to go to Hollywood and become a cowboy movie star. He ran away from home sometime in 1905 when he was thirteen (Al was I think 6), and turned up in Homer, Nebraska. He changed his name to Richard Hart and earned the nickname of "Two-Gun” as a sheriff who liked to bust bootleggers. He loved to dress up just like a cowboy and especially loved to wear his signature boots with red hearts on them.
Here’s an excerpt from the book:
“Two Gun Hart never made it to Hollywood, but that did not stop him from playing the role of a colorful cowboy character. He enjoyed wearing full regalia: the ten-gallon hat, the holster with two pistols he was adept at quick-drawing with either or both hands, and hand-tooled cowboy boots that had large hearts emblazoned on them to call attention to his adopted surname. His great-grandsons tell family stories of how, even in the 1920s and 1930s, the mere sight of him in costume was enough to turn hardened criminals into quivering messes.” (p. 509)
When he returned back to the Capone family back in the 1940s, everyone in the family was ecstatic. The person who seemed to be the most though, was Ralph (my favorite out of the Capone siblings), Al’s second eldest brother.
A cool yet unrelated fact about Ralph is that he used to play semi-pro baseball with Al starting around 1916.
My personal headcanon for Jimmy Capone in the NATM universe is that he was remade in Jed’s group. I would love to hear some of your headcanons of NATM and facts that you find intresting about Napoleon! I've been looking for a good book about him for a while but I haven't read one thats caught my interest yet! -⭐️
First of all: I LOVE Jimmy's boots (red hearts on them?! Too good)!
I would really enjoy watching Al playing baseball with his older brother. ;)
"the mere sight of him in costume was enough to turn hardened criminals into quivering messes." This is exceptional! 😂
Yes, YES! Jimmy in Jed's group is just perfect! Probably Jimmy would be a cowboy très voyant ;)
Well, I must admit that most of the facts I know about Napoléon are not very pleasant :/ I can however tell you some interesting things I remember: he made a lot of spelling mistakes when writing in French, as it was not his mother tongue. Also, one of the facts I especially like is that he was interested in science.
I can't really recommend a book about Napoléon to you because most information I have about him comes from my school History books (even though I can't remember everything :/).
As you asked about my headcanon, I'll just say that I absolutely LOVE the idea of Al being unable to see colors (I read a short fanfiction about it and I just thought it was perfect)! Also, I have my headcanon about the ship Capoléon ;)
Thanks for sharing and for asking too :]

Night at the Museum: Redesigning Characters 1/4(?)
Character profile: Frank "Noses" Capone
This character is based off of and takes inspiration from the historical Frank Capone.
Real Name: Salvatore "Frank" Capone
Nickname and Meaning: Noses - He got this nickname from being inquisitive and being unafraid to stick his nose into other people's business, even if it gets him into trouble.
Age: 28 (July 16, 1895)
Time Period: Frank is from America's Prohibition in the 1920s, to be exact, hes from April 1st, 1924 Chicago, just before he and a group of Mafioso's went to the polling station near the Western Electric Hawthorn plant.
Family: James "Jimmy" Vincenzo Capone, Raffaele "Ralph" James Capone, and Alphonse "Al" Gabriel Capone + Three younger brothers and one sister that wasn't brought back.
Tumblr media
(Headcanons under the cut)
Based on/taken from History:
involved in the Five Points Gang with mobster John Torrio as a kid
Rumored to be queer because he never had an open interest in women/having sex with women like his brothers
Had a kid??? But then took it away from his fiancé??
Nickname was Noses?
Smartest of the eldest Capones
Killed when 70 plain clothes police officers arrived at W 22nd St & S Cicero Ave, Cicero, IL 60804 on April 1st, 1924. He didn’t have time to pull his gun out and was shot so many times, two other bystanders were killed/injured
described as mild-mannered, intelligent and immaculately-dressed
Thought to have ordered 500 deaths since joining the Chicago outfit (1919-1921 to 1924)
“you never get no talk back from a corpse”
+ Intelligent + Social + Hard-working - Quick to anger - Unstable moods
My own silly headcanons:
Can be level-headed, but usually his anger gets the best of him.
His presence calms Al down a lot. His brother really loves him and missed Frank. Frank reminds Al of simpler times when they’d run errands for their old boss Torrio… now Al’s boss.
Represented by clover/clubs. The club symbol represents the summer season and the earth element. The club suit in cards indicates youth, a phase when a person focuses on education, and recklessness.
Frank has matching pins with Al, Jimmy, and Ralph, each brother taking a playing card suit. The brothers made them together with old scrap metal they found in the Navy yard.
Sticks his nose where it doesn’t belong. He likes putting himself in the middle of gossip circles. When he’s not purposefully antagonizing Napoleon to get a reaction, they get along really well because of this.
Wiggles his nose when he thinks hard
Tallest of the Capone brothers (6’1)
Broken out of the museum in search of the closest liquor store out of pure boredom. They tried to pay with greyscale $50s and promptly got kicked out.
A little bit of a sadist.
Gets very violent when he’s upset and enjoys it. Frank doesn’t usually feel bad about his previous actions
Frank: My furby died in my arms when I was a child Ivan: I’m sorry to hear that..? Frank, grinning and joking slightly: Don’t be. I’ve never felt more like a god.
He’d be on Booktok
Like his brothers, Frank will flirt with anyone. Unlike his brothers, Frank is mostly doing it to tease and have fun.
Sucker for hallmark movies
Jerma vibes
His ears turn red when he lies (credit to @frombottlealleytotheharbor for this one)
Frank’s Tommy is a replica whereas his Smith & Wesson Model 10 is from a photo/cutout. His Tommy doesn’t work at all, but his handgun can- he just doesn’t have any bullets.
The Model 10 is named Peggy and the Tommy is Doll
….. don’t call him Frankie unless your family.
Tumblr media
Jimmy Consentini belongs to @all-yn-oween. I had to draw him and Frank together because (I think) they both have two-piece suits.
Plain clothes Napoleon is inspired by this and something I have scheduled.

Happy 132th Birthday to Richard James "Two-Gun" Hart/James "Jimmy" Vincenzo Capone
132 years ago on March 28, 1892, James was born in Angri, Province of Salerno, Italy. When he was three-years-old he, his mom, his dad, and 17 months old brother Raffaele (Ralph) came to America on the Werra in June 1895.
As a child, he loved playing the violin. At sixteen-years-old, he, Ralph, and Frank took part in a fight with some Irish kids. James threw a kid through a window and thought he killed the boy (no thanks to Al who told James he did- the troublemaker). Ashamed and scared of what would happen to him, James ran away and joined a traveling circus that happened to be in town. He changed his name to Richard James Hart, taking the last name of his favorite silent film star and idol, William S. Hart.
He served in WWI, serving in France, and earned a commission as a lieutenant. After, he settled in Homer, Nebraska and became a Prohibition agent. He earned the nickname "Two-Gun" because of his sharp-shooting skills he earned in the circus. He watched what his siblings were up to through the paper. In 1945 he rejoined his family when he fell on hard times.
He married Kathleen Winch in 1919, and had four boys, Richard, William, Sherman, and Harry Hart. He died in Homer, Nebraska at the age of 60 in 1952 from a heart attack.

Happy 129th birthday to Ralph Capone!
(I didn’t expect this to be my first post of the year, so far 2023 has gotten me pretty burned out with school :p. Look out for an updated ref sheet tho and some NATM2 OC lore soon!)
129 years ago on January 12, 1894, Ralph was born in Angri, Campania, Kingdom of Italy. When he was 17 months old (a year and five months), he, his mom, his dad, and three-year-old Vincenzo (Jimmy) came to America on the Werra in June 1895.
He started playing baseball with his younger brother Al with a team called the Algerians when he was 18 and Al was (I think) 13. Ralph a pitcher and Al was a right-handed first baseman. They weren’t very good at the beginning but, with a lot of practice and some time, they started to get really good. Al started to pitch and Ralph took first or third.
Ralph got married to Filomena (Florence) Muscato at 21 on September 24, 1915. They then had a son together, Ralph Gabriel Capone Jr., in 1917. When Ralph movies to Chicago in 1920, his wife didn’t want to move so he brought Ralphie with him. There, Ralphie was raised by Ralph’s mom (Ralphie’s Grandmother) as her youngest son.
On the Chicago Crime Commission Public Enemies list, Ralph was listed as #3, while his brother, Al, was listed as #1. This is Ralph’s arrest records:
Tumblr media
After being arrested in February 1928, he listed occupation as Horse Owner. In February 1930, he owned a horse named Charm: whose rider was JW Rrye.

I’ve had no motivation to continue this because of school (and backgrounds can sometimes be a struggle :p) but I’ve been going through Mob movies recently such as The Goodfellas and The Untouchables and I found a really cool movie!
It’s called The Lost Capone and it was made in 1990!!! It’s about Jimmy Capone, which makes me excited to watch it. I’m thinking of maybe when I get downtime from school and D&D I’m going to redraw one of the Movie posters with NATM Al Capone.

Ahhh! I liked the movie too! (It actually topped the Sound of Music and the Good Fellas for me) The only thing I wish it had was subtitles, later today I'm probably going to look for the script and manually put subtitles into YouTube later for others. The other things I didn't like too much was that they only mentioned 4/8 siblings, and they made Al the eldest when he was actually younger than Jimmy, Ralph, and Frank.
Spoilers BWT if you haven't watched the movie! (Watch it here!)
I loved how they included that Jimmy served in WWI! From Uncle Al Capone by Deirdre Capone that “Flat feet run in the family—all the Capone men, including Al, had them” and Ralph enlisted too but was sent home due to his flat feet! And I really also liked how they set up Jimmy leaving home for Nebraska! It actually happened almost exactly like that from what I've read!
Ralph was my favorite character, I loved how they portrayed him, and I also loved how Jimmy and Ralph met! From what I've read, Jimmy actually went back home around when Al went to Alcatraz. I like how the movie sets Jimmy reuniting with his family better, though.
Would you guys be interested in a Frank Capone NATM themed fic?
“Holy Shit, Frank? You’re alive?”
Frank Capone shook the glass bits off of his shoulders after busting through the glass that surrounded him. Looking around, he saw his brothers - Al and Ralph, His cousin Frank Nitti, and his good friend and boss, Jonny Torrio. Things were off though: Ralph and Al looked a little older than he remembered, they weren’t outside the Western Electric plant either, and, the thing that Frank thought the most out of place was, they were all black and white. They were all staring in disbelief at him, almost like he just said something that insulted their mother.
I haven’t written any fan fiction in years besides some one-off Warrior cats and a few bits for an old Hermitcraft AU. I wrote this up when I was bored in Chemistry Class, so I’m super sorry if it’s badly written! Not only that, but I’m also no good at writing stories that have more than two characters interacting at once. At LEAST one of them gets pushed to the background and is left standing there.

Howdy @lidensword! It’s ⭐️ Anon, but as a sideblog I use that gets no attention lol. I am so sorry for @ing you but I wanted to share some art of Jimmy and Jed!
I couldn’t find anything on his eye color so I gave him Heterochromia! Al has blue/grey eyes and Ralph has brown eyes (I found Ralph’s arrest papers that say he has brown eyes) so I gave him both!
I’m also including some photos of Jimmy I found! I recolored them myself using a site. I also made a version of the drawing that has jimmy in greyscale like Al! I hope you like them!
