GIMME JED SPEAKING IN ENGLISH COMPLETELY NORMAL BUT THEN HIS BRAIN DECIDES TO FORGET THE WORD IN ENGLISH SO HE JUST STOPS FOR A MOMENT AND STARES AT NOTHING, SO HE JUST SAYS IT IN SPANISH AND OCTAVIUS JUST STARES AT HIM LIKE ‘…tf?’ BUT THEN THEY GO TO CARRY ON THE CONVERSATION AND LIKE HALF A BEAT LATER JED JUST SHOUTS THE WORD IN ENGLISH CAUSE HE REMEMBERS IT NOW. LIKE:

“I mean, I ain’t ever seen such a mess! Hell we even had to get a new… uh…”

And even better. I want Jed learning Latin for Octavius once he finds out English is his third language. Because if Octavius learned his first language, then he’ll be damned if he doesn’t do the same for Octavius.

thinking about trans exhibits

hear me out,,, one of the exhibits is trans, what are their options for transitioning?

the statues and wax figures could easily have their bodies altered with some sculpting and carving during the day, so when they wake up at night they've basically had surgey. The minis could do that too, although it'd be very fiddly to pull of because they're so small. The fabric based exhibits like the maniquens could be sewn, or cut and re-stuffed with fabric scissors. same goes with the taxedermy exhibits. the issue would be hiding it from the day staff/public. Some of these exhibits are priceless historical artefcats after all, Larry would defs loose his job if he gave top surgey to an ancient statue. so some exhibits may unfortunaley be unable to surgically (gender affirming arts and crafts?) transition due to the fact they're priceless artfeacts.

For mummies and other reanimated corpses,,, I mean I suppose a really good surgeon may be able to pull off surgey on a mummified body?? Otherwise it'd have to be done at night when they're alive, put under anestesia, but again, the whole priceless artfect thing. Can't be messing with ancient bodies unless you want to catch charges.

Not sure how hormones would work on people made of wax and stuff, the tablet does seem to replicate bodily function since the exhibits can eat and breathe and stuff, so maybe it could work?? or maybe theres something the tablet can do to change how it simulates bodily functions for that individual.

Aslo imagine Larry stressing the hell out with an exacto-knife trying to give surgey to a mini, making Nicky hold a magnifyling glass still and sweating bullets.

Why does no one talk about the effects lacking organs would have on you?

Introducing the effects of being a mummy!

Sure, the tablet does bring life to the inanimate, but we know it has limits to its power. How much energy and mobility Ahk has would fluctuate from night to night depending on how the tablet is doing. On nights with less moonlight (like if there’s cloud cover) it would be worse than nights with lots of moonlight. With no blood flow, Ahk would experience things like coldness, dizziness, and discolouration in the limbs. Being trapped in a box for 54 years in tight mummy wraps would make him stiff and sore in the joins and weak in the legs. Having no brain and other head parts like the inner ear would make his balance bad. He’d get brain fog and nausea at times.

Ahkmenrah disabled canon. Being dead has strings attached.

Smashing my favorite fandoms again (DC and NATM, of course)

Everyone in the museum is sick and fed up with the Batfamily sneaking up on them and scaring them, and then leaving in the middle of a conversation

The only exceptions are Attila and Octavious

Attila sees it as a cool magic trick and is like "WOW! :0"

Meanwhile Octavious is still kinda pissed off about them sneaking up on him, he found a loop-hole through just keeping his eye on them

That way, if they try to run off while they're talking to someone hes like "hey! Come back here, we're not done!" the only person he doesn't do this for is Jason bc he wants Jason to leave

AU Where Ahkmenrah’s parents (realistically) can’t speak English so he has to translate everything for them. It would be so much funnier seeing Ahk try to explain to Larry why he should “kiss his father’s staff.” Plus, why do they speak English anyway? The tablet doesn’t give them that power, Ahkmenrah himself explains that he learned English while studying at Cambridge. I know the movie did it for the sake of not having to make up fake ancient Egyptian, but still!!

bit of an old one ( made in about november i think ) , but this was a rough sketch for a jedediah design of mine !

i mixed both his animated design and regular design , as i have things from both that i enjoy .

my hand writing is a bit messy , so below the cut you’ll find my notes on this

- his bandana in the animated movie goes above his shirt rather than below

- his shirt is still striped

- i liked his ginger hair for the movie but i prefer blonde , as it keeps him recognizable .

- his chaps in the movie are baggier / longer

- i kept the design from his belt but instead transferred it over to his gun holster . also kept his cropped vest , giving it a bit more pizazz .

- the “ scars “ on the back of his head and a bit on his face are more just for my own personal enjoyment , a callback to the real historical jedediah ( i have done tons of research on the guy ) . whether it makes sense or not wasn’t my motive , it’s just for fun LOL

Octavius eats oranges like apples. Right along with the peel, biting into them like goddamn apples.

JEDTAVIUS HEADCANONS

(My need to yapp about these two and the things in my head are to strong so i'll let it be here)

Octavius is built well (mostly becouse of all the training with his legion) he has them big titties AND ass in their relationship. He is strong and can carry Jed like a bag of grapes.

Jed on the other side is slim, he's very agile. He is also slightly taller than the roman and he rubs it in his face as much as he can. Jed is faster than the roman and better at climbing things, becouse Oct is built more 'heavy' and he has his armor.

Jed would never take his gloves off, it took him time, several years to be exact, to trust Oct about touching skin to skin

Oct is VERY clingy, like if he could he would NEVER let go of Jed (Jed was wery uncomfortable with the touch at first, but getting comfy with Octavius' gentle hugs and touches didn't take long)

Octo also had several things he had been uncomfortable about. It revolved mostly around his armor. He would NEVER, and I mean never take off his chestplate, nor his helm (mostly becouse he was scared of being attacked, some trauma from his previous life before the museum)

Jed likes to call Oct nicknames, some of them would be: Oct, Octopus, Vius, Sugar, Starlight ect. When Oct calls him latin names: Cara mia, Carissime, sidus and more more

Also, Octo speaks latin when flustered, and Jed's Accent gets thicker.

It was Jed who kissed Octo first, but right after the kiss he runned away. Oct tried to catch him but failed. Jed runned becouse he didn't know what was going on inside his head, and what had he done, and what was the feeling in his chest and his whole body (Jed was raised on the time period when being gay was NOT ALLOWED). Finally Oct caught up with him and comforted him. That's when Octo told Jed that he loves him.

Jed loves to play with Octavius' hair, the moment he saw them out of his helm his hand ITCHED to get his fingers inbetween those thick dark curls, slightly graying on his temples.

Natm nation the mummification process involves the removal of organs which in the case of a reanimated mummy would cause various disability like symptoms. Vertigo from the lack of inner ear and brain. Fatigue and being cold all the time from lack of blood circulation and no iron. Stiff and popping joints from being wrapped so tight and dried up as a mummy. The list goes on.

Headcanon time!

Okay, so you know how Jed and Octavius are obviously gay and the whole museum (and Nick) knows but doesn't say anything bc you have to just let them cook? Well, there's a betting pool.

It starts with a cowboy and a Roman joking about how their leaders are so painfully in love but don't say anything bc they're idiots and then the cowboy goes "I bet you five bucks that your general confesses first, Jed is shit with feelings," and then the Roman's like: "No way, Octavius can't articulate his emotions for shit, five bucks that Jedediah will do it first."

Word goes around the two dioramas and soon everyone's taking sides and placing bets behind their leaders' backs. Word spreads to Nick (who bets on Oct) and then he brings the betting game to the rest of the exhibits (Larry eventually joins in) and soon the whole museum's in on it.

Eventually Jed hears about some giant betting thing but the cowboys lie to him about what they're actually betting on bc they don't want him to know and Jed's like "fuck it" and BETS AGAINST HIMSELF ON ACCIDENT. (They told him it was a red vs blue debate and he voted red).

Anyway for funsies which one are you voting for? (This means a confession put into words. Third movie shenanigans don't count for this one.)
