Another bit of Roman history this time brought to ya'll by the tiny cowboy! This idea was inspired by another episode of You're Dead to Me about ancient Greek and Roman medicine, as well as that one classic horrible histories sketch about the sponge on a stick. After doing a bit of reading there are some theories that reckon the sponge on a stick may have been used as bog brush rather than shared toilet roll alternative. But that's not nearly as funny. Also according to Google cowboys favoured mullein leaves for toilet paper, seems preferable over a sponge on a stick to me, admittedly. Larry however is appalled at both of his little diorama buddies toilet hygiene options and feels that something must be done.
