You wanna know who my FAVORITE villain of all time is? You see there are a lot of good answers, from Movies, Video Games, Novels, TV shows - but no. . . No, my favorite villain of all time comes from a FUCKING SKYRIM MOD
Tumblr media
AND IT'S FUCKING THIS GUY! Ja'zel the chick trader!! There's something about this slimy fuck, this absolutely disgusting scumsucking turd of a man - this wiggly little bastard, I hate him SO MUCH! BUT IT'S BECAUSE HE'S SO FUCKING GOOD????? He plays you along so effectively - he uses you like you're the Queen in his game of chess, don't even get me started on his Monologue about Talos - this man was bound for greatness. It's hard to go on about why he's such a fantastic villain without spoiling like - All of Glenmoril, but he's such a disgusting little worm, I would break him in half like a fucking slimjim if I could.

Vicn writing massive pieces of deep lore fanfiction tying together the entire Elder Scrolls extended continuity, presenting beautiful philosophy about the nature of memory, and taking the chance to choose peace when your entire existence revolves around fighting, then proceeding to throw you into a fight with a lightsaber-wielding lich, right before having you Ant-Man your way through the Numidium’s large intestine while Indiana Jones style boulders roll at you.

I have now finished Vigilant, Glenmoril(of what there is) and next is Unslaad. I need… a break LOL. Act 4 of Vigilant was a massive undertaking but i found it rewarding.
Anyone in the fence about the VICN mods for Skyrim, if you don’t mind the incredibly dark side of TES lore it is an incredible and gruesome journey. I highly recommend it.

What do u think of dac0da? Are you playing it currently? Your vision of vigilant was captivating, am curious what you think about this (prequel?)
hey!!! first of all, thank you so much!! (,,>﹏<,,)♡ vglnt is very dear to me and seeing that you you liked my fanart for it? its so heartwarming and motivating!!!!
i havent played much of dac0da yet, just met sload baby boi (?)  (fangirled over them), helped yngol (fangirled over him) and then watch him teleport and die bc my game glitched. so..............i restarted the whole skyrim!! currently lvl 16, stealing potatoes from thalmor ambassy  :^)
it's already obvious that dac0da is a gem tho - the use of vanilla models, design of locations, lore implications behind characters, vibe in general - i honestly don't know a thing that a player can ask for from a mod that vicn havent' nailed, (except headcanon stuff ofc)!
looking forward to meet mannimarco too! i remember wanting more friendly/equal-in-power faces in the trilogy, and in vigilant he was definitely my ldb's favourite person to hang out with. hopefully we won't have to kill him...............
what about you? have any thoughts you want to share about dac0da or the trilogy in general? 👀🤍 i'm happy to gossip about black owl at anytime dflkjgklfdg
also theres some trilogy sketches in public access here 👉👈

I finished unslaad and I'm in awe. I've never experienced such a though-provoking and emotionally invested trilogy of mods like that. It really helped me become very attached to my character, Aniela. If you haven't, go play through Vicn's trilogy of Vigilant, Glenmoril and Unslaad. (I suck at writing blurbs like this but MAN that was so goddamn fun)

Been working on a basic height chart for all my TES characters, so here are my dysfunctional babies (and here’s to hoping tumblr doesn’t kill the image quality, but if it does, just click on it to see it better.)
From left to right, we have Ilyavanthra, Evelynn, Morganne, Delilah, Taka-Xil and Jacken.
More info on these guys under the cut!
Ilyavanthra Atyreni is my resident villain, a Thalmor superior who thinks she’s god and refuses to acknowledge the Divines out of spite— which won’t go down well with the rest of the Thalmor, but that’s fine, she’s got big plans for them along with the rest of the world. The pivotal point for her was when she went missing, lost her legs under mysterious circumstances, came back wrong, refused to elaborate. After that she began frantically planning some kind of ultimate design and built new legs as proof of her efficiency. She’s positively obsessed with the Dwemer, their ideologies and methods and studied them for a large part of her life. At some point she was married to Evelynn, but their relationship is… difficult. All in all, giant scary lesbian Altmer with religious trauma and one hell of a god complex about to make it everyone else’s problem.
Evelynn is my favourite child, she’s my Bosmer Vestige and has lived for a very long time after the events of ESO, in which she has spent the years going from outright saving the day to falling into the background and preferring to work on the preservation of Tamriel from behind the scenes, as she knows no other purpose. Super complicated bisexual disaster love life, let me tell you about it, sheesh. She’s been around to help put down Mannimarco whenever he pops up, but has been running from Molag Bal and the looming feeling of impending doom he carries— little does she know she’s in a rat trap. Because of her extended life, her mind has far outgrown her body and by the time the fourth era rolls around, she’s less than all there, susceptible to any forced that would wish to control her (she’s also the character I put through the Vicn Trilogy, because putting her back in Coldharbour sounded like the worlds sickest joke.) I love female characters who have been put through extreme tribulations and come out of it little bit off the rails RAHHH!!
Morganne is my Imperial Dragonborn who remembers absolutely nothing prior to the carriage ride except her name. She fulfils her destiny in not only slaying Alduin but also taking up the role of Konahrik, which only strengthens her power as Dovahkiin. But what does it mean about you if you managed to destroy the destroyer of worlds? Does that not make you just as, if not more, dangerous? Perhaps. She’s still young and pretty naive but by god, is she as stubborn as a dragon should be, and keeps doing impulsive dumb shit she gets in trouble with everyone for. She refuses to kill Paarthurnax, who she ends up considering her father figure, refuses to kill any more dragons considering it ‘kinslaying’, as well as arguing that she believes Odahviing and Durnehviir to be her most loyal brothers, and instead of killing him at the summit of Apocrypha, releases Miraak and keeps him on a leash. They hate each other’s guts (code for they are deeply in love and cannot resist one another but both won’t make the first move out of pride)
That tiny lass is Delilah, a Breton with big dreams of being a sorceress but unfortunately also sucks at magic. See that staff she’s holding? She doesn’t know how to use it aside from thwacking people. She does however have a mass aptitude for Restoration locked away, she just has to figure out how to harness it, because without control, her emotions dictate her powers in miraculous ways, even resulting in resurrecting the dead. See that big fella beside her? He’s proof of that. Also, don’t let her baby face fool you. She’ll bite your ankles and she has a thing for monster boys.
The big fella in question is named Taka-Xil, and oh boy, does he run on pure spite. He’s not had a very good start to life, despite being born under the Hist, he seemingly had no connection to it whatsoever and couldn’t properly read the social cues of his kin or fully understand them. For that reason, he was deemed soulless, and no matter how much sap he consumed he couldn’t connect to the Hist— the amount he drank only made his scales much tougher, his tongue golden and his height drastically taller than by Argonian standards. So he runs off to join the Dark Brotherhood and developed a great deal of reverence for Sithis. He becomes Listener and lets out all that steam on contracts, until he meets Delilah, who teaches him that being soft is just as important as being strong. She’s the only one he sees any light in and he adores her. Big gruff guy soft for sunshine girl plus dramatic height difference trope here.
Lastly, we have my most experimental OC, the wonderfully unhinged Jacken Archanymia, the very last Cyrodiilic bird person. He’s been alive all these years due to a curse bestowed upon him by Peryite, and has since dedicated his life to creating the cure to everything. Yes, everything. Beginning with his own terrible affliction. He’s a brilliant alchemist and doctor, and regardless of how spooky his attire is and how… rotten he is beneath it, he’s very charming and animated, and does his very best to act gentlemanly. Just don’t get too close or you might get sick. That mask is more for your protection than his.

Hewwo, I've been lurking on the Skyrim tags for some time now :3c I got a question regarding how Tally would react to the Dragonborn's religion. Like, if they prayed to and favored a particular God over the others. Ofc minus Talos, because Tally's an ex-member of the Thalmor and he almost got murked by Talos worshippers (P.S.: I will be talking about my LDB here because I love her and thoughts of her inspired me to ask this question and I can't wait to finally have more time so I can play-) (P.P.S: I already know she and Kaidan would have a bit of an uneasy relationship) I'm planning on playing as a follower of Stendarr (who is also the niece of Keeper Carcette) during my next playthrough. Unlike her auntie, she's not a Vigilant and rather keeps to the "Be kind and generous to the people of Tamriel" commandment of her God. And she would prefer for things to stay that way. Buuuut unfortunately for her, I have all the DLCs, Vicn's trilogy and Beyond Reach installed, so she will be ending up as a Vigilant
Taliesin doesn't really care (at the moment) what the Dragonborn worships. He's personally a fan of Dibella, but keeps his religious beliefs to himself.
He's not a fan of Talos - for reasons dating back to when he was Tiber Septim - but won't be stepping up on any soap boxes to preach about it.
But he will remind you that he won't save you if you get in trouble with the Thalmor for Talos Worship.

Update: Your girl has officially become Thane of all holds (+Solstheim) for the first time ever:
-Btw if you really don’t like a Jarl (Maven in my case)(yes I know about the Better Tomorrow - Replace Maven mod, but had issues getting it to work in the past so this is an alternative solution: First time visiting Riften, used Setessential (id) 0 (not essential) and then kill on her - skip to now, resurrect, do the stuff and get named Thane, kill her again (in addition to Maul (even though I had already killed one version of him with Destroy the Thieves Guild mod) and Hemming for good measure) and bam problem solves (Eden why “she had it coming” - why are you like this).
-The armoury in the Museum looks so prideful (I use the LGBTQ+ Pride Hold Banners mod in addition to the LGBTQ Pride Guard Armor Retexture mod to Pride things up + it looks way better than the standard)(+Zims Immersive Artifacts for the Bonus Thane Weapons) 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
-Thanks to V6 of LoTD, you can now assign vanilla (not modded ones with their own frameworks) -followers (aka all my new housecarls and past followers given a break) to the Explorers Society guild by giving them the Explorers Guild Ring and addition nd them to the Guild Charter + I use NFF (Nethers Follower Framework) to assign it as a Homebase to make them stay put.
-But the Explorers Society is getting kinda crowded with it being a place for me to just dump my followers to keep them close (letting them get back to their duties like Kharjo? nope), but at least they can keep themselves and the Guild company.
—“Does this mean your finally gonna do all the Excavations, you haven’t even touched Windcallers Pass”, I’m gonna get to it eventually, I dig (hehe) the excavations and the guild, I have played through all of them once. But as someone who’s not the biggest fan of Dwemer Ruins, Rkund (it’s a solid quest but those two long af mazes right after eachother just makes me sigh everytime) just makes me procrastinate the rest immediately (but Eggleman will be found) but with 2 other new characters on the side - I can use them to keep me motivated when that time comes, it’s smooth sailing after Rkund.
But that will have to wait because Vicn Trilogy here we come (Vigilant, Glenmoril and then Unslaad), oh dear, Eden I’m so sorry for the trauma ✨ but these mods are just too good.
-Also watched this video while doing it (except he did it for the standard pre-taking sides status of the Holds, while I did it with the Imperial victory status), check the guy out if you want (this is not an ad, I’m a nobody on this site and I like it this way, I just like his content). He has a whole series dedicated to filling out the museum as much as possible and definetly has helped me keep my motivation up when I get to a certain point in my longtime playthroughs (because doing stuff after Shattered Legacy is hard) so cheers (or don’t, I can’t tell you what to do).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So currently still playing with Eden, and to gather even more things for the museum, I’m going to do something I have never done, not just become thane of another hold in addition to Whiterun but they’re gonna become Thane of them all.
So currently working on Eastmarch, had already helped enough people so just needed to buy Hjerim, did so for 12000 coin, got named thane by Brunwulf, and then headed over to Hjerim, and if you haven’t touched Blood on the Ice yet, it will be in the same state and kickstart the quest, everything is the same except that you already have access because of literally owning it - finally a proper representation of real estate, you payed a lot of money, but it doesn’t matter since it is still a murder scene (and now you own a secret blood and bones cubboard, oh joy)
Checked the UESP and yes, this is working as intended, they will sell you the abandoned murder house (and give you the furniture book) and not even give you a heads up, goddamn this game is stupid sometimes:
-It let’s you furnish and clean it up after the quest is finished (either path when you deal with that murder dude), but oh boy.

Reflecting on the story of Unslaad tonight and I just find it so interesting that both overarching antagonists of the Vicn Trilogy, Molag Bal and Hermaeus Mora, and by extension Hoholaugh and the Black Owls in regards to the latter, each manage to be so horrifyingly villainous while also being the most pathetic characters in the whole story. Each of them is desperately attempting to force you to give them what they need to escape their own destruction, trying with everything in their power to beat you into submission with the worst horrors imaginable, only for them to be practically crawling and clinging onto your ankle while desperately pleading for you to stop and help them by the end. Each seems like an impossible foe at the darkest moments of the story, but when you look back after it's all over you can see just how pitiful they always were.
"Laugh at such matters, Dragonborn. For the Prisoner holds the reins of fate in their hands."
I also think of it as a nice callback to Vigilant that you can defeat Hoholaugh by offering him forgiveness, but with a very different outcome compared to the souls you grant peace in that story, and honestly I think it's the most damning option of all for him. He looks out upon the world and the understanding of what he's done, how he's been used, and all that he was never and will never be able to be part of hits him all at once. That's the key thing, too. I think Hoholaugh doesn't just know in this moment, he understands. Molag Bal will never understand, and neither will Hermaeus Mora. The Prince of Fate is too stuck with his head buried in all his stolen words and, even moreso, his own fear to have any capacity to look at the world and truly comprehend the magnificence of it all. But in the moment after he's freed, Hoholaugh understands, and it destroys him.
"The more I think about it, the more I feel... I could have been a part of this world if only my Lord Herma-Mora participated in its creation..."
The greatest revenge you can have against the Black Owl is to take none at all, and I think there's something brilliant to that.

What do you hope for 2023?
I'd hope for RT to stop being corrupt for five minutes...fat fucking chance.
So what I will hope for is-
A. A pay raise
B. A reintroduction of Mega Evolution in Scarlet and Violet
And C. For Vicn to finally complete GLENMORIL so I can talk about his trilogy.

This is a bit of an oddball ask message, but I went on a little escapade trying to find out how to make a custom main menu for Skyrim because I wanted to add something Vicn Trilogy themed. Your art of this owl with Mora's eye was absolutely perfect for it, and I wanted to show you how it turned out! My DaC0da playthrough is starting soon and this is a lovely little thing to add to the experience, so thanks again for all your great work inspired by this series!
Tumblr media
oh but you're so welcome to scream here about anything trilogy related!! <3
ngl i'd become increasingly more paranoid with him in the main menu (─ ‿ ─)
but!! i'm also genuinely surprised it looks so good!! you did an amazing job!! quality hasnt dropped much, and i usually hate to see my own old art but this? this is just heart warming and makes me feel all kind of bubbles and butterflies ( ˊᵕˋ )♡.°⑅)
i also like to think that jhunal stares at the tes castles addvert with his unblinking eye...........judging...............waiting.................
good luck with your dac0da playthrough (and with modding ofc!!) i still havent started it but if you'd want to share any thoughts - dont hesitate to return with spoilers !!
