Continuation to ecto-cancer: Actually, a cure is a good idea but it would be like vitamins: you have to take it all the time whatever connect with ghosts and the ectoplasmic pollution you have. Ghosts themselves are the source of radiation, even Danny and Vlad in their ghost form (can't say for sure about their human form). The strong dose of cure should be taken if you already has an ecto-cancer or in high risk (Valerie because her equipment is full of ghost energy and partically made from ectoplasm, Jack and Maddie, Casper High students after ghost infection — normal viruses and bacterial infections inflect to human health for the whole life — ghost infection? especially).

I guess this cure would not only save Jack and Maddie' reputation and freedom but their health as well. Just look how careless their with ectoplasm: Jack can drink or eat by an accident. They must already have cancer.

Also: Poor Vlad. After little research of halfas' ectoaura he will be officially not allowed for reproduction (with people) cause of high mutagenic risk.

I know a lot of E/riel’s say that Elain purposefully dressed plain at the CoN so Nesta could capture the attention of Eris, and Eris looked at Elain because he wanted her and not Nesta, but I strongly disagree. First, Nesta is beautiful. Feyre called her devastatingly beautiful. Two, it never says (or alludes to) that Elain decided to look plain on purpose, or that the Inner Circle came up with this whole plan. Three, Nesta probably already had the attention of Eris. Nesta told everyone at the High Lords meeting (in ACOWAR) that the meeting wasn’t over and it caught his (and the Lady of Autumn) attention. Also, Eris is drawn to power, and Nesta is without a doubt the most powerful person in that room. He recognized it, and liked it. Four, Eris was probably looking at Elain because he knew that she is the mate of his brother. We don’t know if Eris and Lucien have been secretly talking (and maybe Elain somehow got brought up but we don’t know). I don’t think Eris would ever go after his brothers mate (I think Eris does care about Lucien in his own way). And the Autumn Court seems very traditional, and it would probably be a bad look to go after someone else’s mate, especially when they’re mated to your brother.

I see them say that too, anon, and I totally disagree. They joke about how "oh is Cassian a fashion expert now?" as if Cassian is a real person with his own thoughts lol. SJM wrote that line on purpose. Also it's not like Feyre told Eris "please choose whichever sister you want to dance with." They told him he would dance with Nesta, so there was never any reason for Elain to look bad. Also yes, like you said, Eris knows Elain is Lucien's mate. We know Eris secretly cares about his brother so there was never any concern that he would be truly interested in Elain in the first place. I think Elriels misread this whole scene (likely on purpose) because it offers some pretty clear evidence that Elain and Azriel are incompatible. Azriel fits in well at the CoN. He tortures people for a living. He always wears black. His gift is shadows and he spends a lot of time in the dark. (Cassian even mentions in acofas how Azriel slips into the shadows and leaves him alone whenever they stay at the house of wind). It's just another small piece of evidence that Elain has yet to discover where she is truly meant to be and where she will thrive. Personally, I don't think that place will be the Night Court.

if it’s not a mistake its most likely that walter and claudia are siblings and that henderson is claudia’s maiden name. lucas’s parents seen at will’s funeral were recast for s2 anyway, and iirc so were dustin’s parents? regardless, it adds another layer to dustin’s character, having grown up with a single mom in the 80s—not like joyce, but a mom who was never married (joyce is divorced but still has the last name byers). despite dustin’s s1 “my parents” line it’s possible they fleshed out his bg more and changed it so that he has actually never even met his dad. who knows

they retconned/recast a lot after 1 true, which i mean, makes sense, they did say they wrote for the full franchise only after s1. so besides some crucial story details and so on, background characters/details weren't set in stone yet. so Claudia getting turned into a single mom after we've only had an unnamed Mr Henderson in s1 would be a reasonable change

and besides that, it's also possible that Claudia just didn't change her name going into a marriage or that Mr Henderson took her name instead. because, while uncommon for the time, it wasn't impossible, and if anyone were to do it i would put my money on Claudia - the only person in the Reagan Republican town that openly has a Mondale sign on her lawn - Henderson

Indeed. It's especially frustrating when people insist that characters need to be held accountable even after they have paid dearly for whatever they did, and they literally take steps to make up for what they did and learn from their mistakes.

also im growing to hate the phrase ''hold accountable'' in discourse because its always so.... empty? like you see people saying ''sure this person apologized, but we need to hold them accountable!'' like cool. what does that mean. how can you get any more accountable than a public apology. do you want them to apologize... again? more? get a tattoo explaining their crimes so everyone they meet is informed? do you want accountability or are you repeating buzzwords because you cant find a nice way to say you just want them to disappear.

still ruminating over Lost In the Book With Spooky Skeletons Part 1, so here's a selection of some of my favorite little bits! (...some more loosely paraphrased than others) (I just feel like Idia has no room to criticize in general, okay)

probably time for this story i guess but when i was a kid there was a summer that my brother was really into making smoothies and milkshakes. part of this was that we didn't have AC and couldn't afford to run fans all day so it was kind of important to get good at making Cool Down Concoctions.

we also had a patch of mint, and he had two impressionable little sisters who had the attitude of "fuck it, might as well."

at one point, for fun, this 16 year old boy with a dream in his eye and scientific fervor in heart just wanted to see how far one could push the idea of "vanilla mint smoothie". how much vanilla extract and how much mint can go into a blender before it truly is inedible.

the answer is 3 cups of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup milk alternative, and about 50 sprigs (not leaves, whole spring) of mint. add ice and the courage of a child. idk, it was summer and we were bored.

the word i would use to describe the feeling of drinking it would maybe be "violent" or perhaps, like. "triangular." my nose felt pristine. inhaling following the first sip was like trying to sculpt a new face. i was ensconced in a mesh of horror. it was something beyond taste. for years after, i assumed those commercials that said "this is how it feels to chew five gum" were referencing the exact experience of this singular viscous smoothie.

what's worse is that we knew our mother would hate that we wasted so much vanilla extract. so we had to make it worth it. we had to actually finish the drink. it wasn't "wasting" it if we actually drank it, right? we huddled around outside in the blistering sun, gagging and passing around a single green potion, shivering with disgust. each sip was transcendent, but in a sort of non-euclidean way. i think this is where i lost my binary gender. it eroded certain parts of me in an acidic gut ecology collapse.

here's the thing about love and trust: the next day my brother made a different shake, and i drank it without complaint. it's been like 15 years. he's now a genuinely skilled cook. sometimes one of the three of us will fuck up in the kitchen or find something horrible or make a terrible smoothie mistake and then we pass it to each other, single potion bottle, and we say try it it's delicious. it always smells disgusting. and then, cerimonious, we drink it together. because that's what family does.

Probably one of the best things for me in that episode was the final card pull. Cause anyone who knows anything about tarot probably knows the death card does not actually represent death literally. It represents something coming to the end, yes, but it also represents new beginnings and moving forward. It is overall a positive card to draw upright, representing growth, transformation, and change, rather than stagnation.

And so, they don't show us Lilia's death.

Instead, we see how Lilia changes, realizing how much she cares about the coven and how much she loves being a witch, realising that these powers are a gift no matter how unruly. We see her finally accepting her fate. And they show us the new beginning, back in that garden it all started in, as she sits down with her teacher at that table, and she says

"Let's begin again."

here's the thing. I don't think that men and women can't be friends. I do think, however, that some men can't be friends with women. bc they are misogynists and don't see women as people. so if you as a man say men and women can't be friends I think you're telling on yourself
