perpendicular meta knight 👀

ok so like. you know how when meta knight tried to protect the sacred square, he was transformed by a dark heart and after being beaten, the heart fled into another dimension with the memory of meta knight's soul, and used it to create parallel meta knight?

well, considering that dark meta knight was looking for dark hearts, i came up with a theoretical character who would come to exist if he actually found one. since mk is the opposite of dmk and pmk is "parallel" to mk, then if dmk got a parallel counterpart he'd be "perpendicular" to mk, hence the name, "perpendicular meta knight".

character's actual name is "parallel dark meta knight".

alongside the similar hypothetical character "parallel shadow dedede/ perpendicular dedede", he has the nickname-prefix "suichoku", which means "vertical" (in comparison to a horizontal line), so similar to how shadow dedede is sometimes called "burade", suichoku dedede is usually called "suichokude" or "vertide", and PDMK is called "suimeta" in a similar vein to dmk being called "dameta".

i have a design on the way, but i'm still developing the personality.

Though technically, as Scarfy pointed out to me, that Ancestor is a naga not a snake centaur ahehe XD

Vic wanting that plump juicy fat bird sleeping in the tree and is thinking of a way to get it without waking it up

Naga Ancestor probably thinking if he should ambush a prey today or sleep and do it tomorrow instead

The Stranger and the Decorative Box - Starter for Vertid

It wasn't often that the lumbering Keeper left the shrine he so carefully guarded. In fact, other than short trips to gather supplies, it was never. He would pride himself on his unwavering devotion if it were a part of him that was pliant. But it wasn't. It wasn't a choice to be that way, it was just the way he was. He didn't know how to be anything other than absolute and so he was.

And so he had been for many years. Many long years. He didn't even concern himself with the particular number anymore. Time was nothing to bother with when it wasn't a luxury and he was decidedly without luxuries. Fortunately, that only made his current burden and task that much less imposing. He was changing location and without an abundance of things to take with him or leave behind, the Keeper faced little difficulty in doing so. He would take his anvil, his hammer, his blades.His bucket, his jar, his urn, his vase, his bottle, his wooden post, and a small, but decorative black box. All of these supplies were easily secured to his back and he left his old location as soundlessly as he had arrived so many years ago. The spirit of an old witch had pleaded with him not to leave but his decision was final. He assured her that his return was likely, just not immediately.Days of walking ensued. He walked on through day and night, sun and stars. Never slowing, never faltering. He was absolute in his journey and before long, he had found himself amidst the beginnings of the rocky ascent to the great Mountain. He was not accustomed to the cold air of the mountains. It had never suited him in the past and it was certainly no better now. Despite the temperature and the howling snow, he pressed on with unwavering pace.It was not until some hours later, when his vision was entirely obscured by the white of the snow, that he determined he was lost.He hadn't been lost in so very long that it stopped him in his tracks and he simply stood, silent and dumbfounded.What did one do when they were lost? He simply couldn't remember...And so he pondered, alone in the snow, still and silent.

(People sure want me to have a kid, don’t they?) -chuckles a bit- (Sorry anon, but I don’t have any nor do we plan on it any time soon. We’re not exactly ready for that sort of responsibility considering how things are. Plus biologically speaking, Vertid and I can’t really have any since we’re both different types of Rythulians.)

It seemed to Buki that people had very many different kinds of wishes. He was slightly perplexed by this particular one himself at first. But after a moment of thinking he could understand Vertid's desire. It must be quite different for someone who lived in those storms than for one who only passed through them on occasion.

Nodding sagely and crossed his arms in front of him, feeling the magic gather once more. "Calm weather you seek. A lull in the mountain gales. Then still it shall be."

Away on the mountain's slopes the fierce winds that raged constantly ceased abruptly. An eire calm settled in that it's sparse inhabitants were certainly not used to. The snow still fell, but it was gentle and serene, lightly touching the ground. The change so strange even the mountain itself seemed pleasantly surprised.
