The new [It's Kirby Time] book is out!

It's a very cute adventure about Kirby and Elfilin looking for a place to have a picnic and discovering several nice places are too crumbled to eat on!! However, even though they get a little crumbly, they are still certain people's favorite spots! It ends with telling you not to judge that someone's "rock that is very comfy to sit on" is a broken thing!

Random Items of Note + Some Sample Pictures!

-They go back and forth between Dream Land and the New World, finally ending up in the vicinity of Waddle Dee Town after discovering it looks nice and stable to have their picnic.

-A Primal Awoofy speaks to the two of them! (Might just be to Elfilin, who seems to be an interpreter for Beast and ... Dream Land-ese? Either way, it's capable of speaking full sentences!)

-They picnic in the Originull Wasteland in front of Alivel Mall (you can see the mark) and Elfilin waxes poetic on the ruins behind them may have been the location of someone's important shop long ago.

-Taranza makes an appearance and mentions that the Dream Stalk is his favorite spot, and the place he wants to protect before going back to planting flowers. What is ALSO noteworthy about this page is that Taranza is described as "a youth" (若者) by the narrator. The same word the games use to describe Kirby's age! ^^;

Frankly, this, in combination with Taranza also having been described as a "bocchan" or young noble boy back in Star Allies (?) has me rethinking some HCs (And yes, I argued against it meaning he was youngish before, but now, I'm kind of reconsidering...)

Kirby is made in Japan. ^^; I wonder if HAL might be leaning into the whole cast being what people sometimes mockingly refer to as "anime ages." Interesting bit for them to include in this book, anyway!

Great question! I picked his face paint for specific reasons! :D

Clawroline strikes me as the creative, extravagant performer type so I figure her Council would express themselves more to match, compared to Leongar's Council in canon :D

if you guys happen to remember my Kirby warrior cats AU from nearly a year ago then you'll be happy to know it has. uh. Mutated! hope you like alien cat genetics lmao

Being in the Kirby style, the "cats" are actually aliens that look & behave like cats. I'm considering calling the species "Tabies" (singular is "Taby", as in Tabby + Baby) but i'm not fully set on that yet. They are not the same species as Nago; not even from the same planet.

I've decided that while the warrior cats themselves are mostly adapted from Kirby game characters, the forest itself is in the KRBAY canon. Things just lined up better for the sorts of species I wanted to include. There ARE game enemies I've adapted into "normal" animals to make the world feel more Kirby-like, but overall it was just easier to place everything in a KRBAY setting where they already have things like "normal sheep" and "normal rat" -- not to mention plant species!

Anyway the forest exists in some temperate region on anime Popstar and is not directly part of the tropic-based Dreamland, but does maintain trade relations. I'd actually intended to make the map look like a literal in-universe travel guide to promote tourism, but then I didn't do that. Because it was hard and i didn't want to

The tabies and a handful of other useful species (including Awoofies) were brought over a long time ago when select parts of Popstar were in contact with pre-collapse Forgotten Land. Feral populations have since become naturalized into this temperate region's ecosystem. The ancestors of the Jackal-things from the fourth image were domestic Awoofies that went feral very early after their introduction, making the Jackal-things technically moreso akin to dingoes. Primal Awoofies, on the other hand, are what Awoofies were originally domesticated from, making them like wolves. They didn't bring over any Primal Awoofies to Popstar, I just wanted to draw one.

I'll spare you the Lore™ of these particular warrior Clans for now but it DOES exist and you WILL hear it. eventually maybe idk

I have a tendency to ruin drawings when I colour them. So I'm going to leave this one be for now.

I wanted to do something I thought of while Playing Forgotten land of how much power over the Awoofies Dedede would still have in his normal state. I may have gone over on the realistic primal Awoofy but I can't do anything right at times.

Here's hoping I don't lose my followers for posting something different for a change.

Well in honor of national waddle Dee day that I was in no way prepared for, have some lyrics I made for primal Bandee’s theme.

Hear the howl of the prince of beast! May the song of the wild never cease. Here the pack follows my command, but even I fulfill the queen’s demands.

Mother taught me well in the ways of the wild! Now I must teach the ways of survival! In this land the strong eat the weak, now the time has come to feast!

But I feel this push in my mind… It’s trying to keep my ferocity confined! So that’s why I push it aside. May the Great One’s message brew inside. And they’re telling me it’s time for the two of you to say goodbye!

But they say… there’s something it needs. Something required, for them to succeed…

As while a prince, I live to serve. So I must obey, their word…

So may the queen’s conquest succeed! Yet both you stand in her way for that you will bleed.

Stay on the hunt for what mother demands, for the sake of this Forgotten Land. Those that came from the hole that yawned above the sky, shall bow before the queen from the mountain’s high.

Decided to make my own waddle dee fc. Meet primal dee or prime.

Some lore + ref below

When the appearance of sudden rift portals started to scatter across all of dream land it had taken many waddle dees from thier homes and normal lives.

While most were dropped nearby other waddles im safer areas some werent so lucky.

One waddle dee that had entered the new world alone was injuryed upon landing. Unconscious as the resident primal awoofys found the dee's body. The awoofys were much more docile as elfilis's physic influence had yet to effect the beasts in the wastelands area.

Upon awaking the waddle dee couldn't remember anything from thier past home. Getting amnesia from the physical trauma thier body endured. Eventually living with the awoofys in the wastelands and joining thier pack.

During the time elfilis starts to gain influence on the beasts and the subsequent smaller beasts in the forgotten lands more waddle dees started to fall through more unstable portals made by the creature. Prime being stuck with the smaller beasts for so long caused them to easily be effected by the psychic influence. Joining the beast packs objective in searching for elfilin and capturing other waddle dee's.

After the events of forgotten land where the beasts have returned to peace with the waddle dees that decided to stay in the new world Prime would try to interact with the residents of waddle dee town but eventually would return to the wastelands to live with the other awoofys. Protecting them and also providing others guide through the rough landscape.

I just had another thought: Since Dedede's Awoofies are Primal Awoofies, what if they behaved like huskies?

Like they'll just howl and scream if they don't want to do something.
