"it sounds magnificent, really. i'll have to go visit sometime. you can tell me, like, all the best places to see and which are the best of the best open mics." it sounds almost not unlike southern california. there's so much to be said about los angeles. not that it's bleak or sad as jamie talks about views of manchester, but people will take it in the opposite direction—overrated, falsely shiny and all hollywood starlets—and they wouldn't necessarily be wrong, but what jamie loves most about manchester is what andie loves most about home, too: people furiously, passionately writing screenplays in-between shifts at work, and colorful murals going up on the sides of every building, performers at open mic nights fighting for their dreams with their voices. it's a city of creativity and passion far more than it is of falsehoods. "there's plenty of open mics in LA, but i can't always say that they're good."

she misses home something fierce sometimes with this idea that there's no end date to living here. (which, not that it sucks, it's just so different and she hasn't yet adjusted.) she misses home.

"yeah, sure i can," andie can't lie for shit, and never wants to either. she also means this statement wholeheartedly, somehow, for her, both can be true. she grins over at jamie, and means it. "he can't be that mean."

Jamie knows firsthand how much charming a donor can do for a club. Not like Chelsea's ever needed the help, and Richmond's on its way up now, but before Ms. Welton sold 49% of the club, it was events like these that could keep Richmond's metaphorical head above water, especially when they were playing like shit. When teams played like shit, and all of their tickets for a game didn't sell, and they still had players, coaches, doctors, physios, in-house staff to pay, to attempt to retain, it was donors like these who helped pay those people, who helped draw attention to young up-and-comers from academies like City's, like Chelsea's, like some of the international clubs like Dortmund or Ajax or Juventus to the clubs. The women's game still needs donors like this, shame that it is. And Jamie's there to be a charming face for people to sign cheques made out to Richmond, for Richmond to spend however they'd like. Luckily, Jamie's near certain he saw Dani wooing a crowd of women old enough to be his grandmum; if Richmond actually needs the money [ which, again, it does not, not now, not post-Lasso, post-Welton's sale ], they'd get it all from the charming mouth of Dani Rojas.

"Oh - fuck, erm - yeah." Sometimes, when he forgets he's talking to an American, he forgets to explain himself. To be honest, most of the time he doesn't bother explaining himself, figuring that people'll catch on to what he's saying. When he's asked for clarification, though, he realises that that might not always be the case. "Yeah - yeah, Manchester. It's..." He has complicated feelings about his home city. He loves it, deeply. He'll never forget where he comes from. The bee tattooed on his shoulder blade is a permanent reminder of his home. "I love it. But it's... a city that's... look, if you'd ask any Londoner, they'd say it's dead shit. It's grim, it's bleak, it's fucking sad. But it ain't all that. Just 'cause it's North don't mean it's dead. I love it. I seriously fucking love it. It's a great place." Manchester's reputation amongst Londoners - especially posh Londoners - is something that will never fail to irritate him, so he's glad that he gets to be the first one to speak about it to her. "It's like, super vibrant, full of the arts, the open mics there are probably the best in the country. Y'can find just about anything y'want, and stuff's cheaper there'n it is here." He winks at her when she tells him his secret about his chips is safe with her, glad to be given a reason to stop rambling about Manchester, especially when it's months from now that he's back up there to play both City and United. "Cheers, love. Hope you can stick to that when Roy Kent comes callin'. He's got a mean glare, seriously. If looks could kill."

Alpha Andy and Alpha Robert are so hot too but they're way too scary for you to brat around in order to get their attention like you do with the rest of the pack.

Although, that is not to say that you throw yourself on the ones you find attractive or anything. 

But you get along with all of them and basically everyone, except for Ransom. 

So naturally, when it ‘dawns’ upon you on one fine full moon that he is your mate, your world is turned upside down. 

The superior wolf just grins down at you during the pack dinner while you pout, whine and stomp around before hiding yourself behind your mountain of a plate and in between Alphas Ari and Frankie. 

Ransom has always known about your dislike for him but even he is a bit taken aback by how you respond to the ‘realization’ after being questioned by Alpha Andy who is the Supreme Alpha which means everyone has to answer to him. 

“Why him?!” Curtis is amused at your protest and Steve shakes his head at your tone, having never been too fond of your brattiness. “Anyone but him!” 

Andy sighs and tries to explain the way it works and how fate knows best and works in mysterious ways and that it's no one's choice but must be obeyed. 

But much like yourself, you refuse and no one can force you to be with him because it is such a world, for once. 

You don't notice it but all of Ransom's fangirls that he used to have by his side all the time began to disappear.

He's more careful and serious around you, now always trying his level best to please you. 

But ugh, you just don't like him because Alphas like him have always cringed you out.

Well yeah, Alpha Johnny and Jakey are kinda the same so maybe you're a bit prejudiced when it comes to him.

You can't stand him okay!

But man. 

Everyone except for you notices the love-stricken way in which he looks at you, bright blue eyes filling with an unfamiliar warmth and replacing the usual playfulness whenever you come around. 

It's such an interesting inversion.

Because he's the one who follows you around during pack meetings and gatherings even though it's supposed to be the other way around. 

Like he's the puppy and you're the Alpha. 

You rarely take notice of it but he always gets things done for you. Whether they're school related, something to do with finances, or if you want to buy something, he's got it all covered. Your parents -as Omegas are considered too small to live by themselves- try to decline because you haven't even accepted him as an Alpha yet the man secretly transfers them hundreds and thousands of bucks so they can buy you whatever you want and you're too silly to put two and two together. 

The longing on his usually cheerful face is nearly depressing for his fellow Alphas on days when you dress up for an occasion and all he wants to do is to hold you and smother you in his scent and love. 

Run his hands all over your perfect body and feel the crevices, cuts and curves. Every bump and all the plumpness. 

You make his blood run hot like he's a developing Alpha in his teens. 

As if he's going through puberty all over again. 

Ransom has no idea if you will ever let him in but he's hopeful. There have been some rare cases throughout history where Omegas took a bit of time to warm up to their Alphas because at the end of the day your lot are slow babies that need their time to adjust to big changes. 

Until then, he will be patient and wait. 

Because when you finally become his -which all the Alphas assure him you surely will at some point-, he has so much love to overflow you with that it keeps him going for the time being. 

He has already bought for you two the perfect suburban house with a big garden so when you become heavy and swollen with his litter, you will have a refreshing environment to relax and walk around, definitely barefooted and clad in one of his oversized shirts.

Don’t Unhitch from the Old Testament

In a 2018 sermon, the pastor of North Point Church, Andy Stanley, encouraged the church to “unhitch” from the Old Testament: “(First Century) Church leaders unhitched the church from the worldview, value system, and regulations of the Jewish scriptures," Stanley said. "Peter, James, Paul elected to unhitch the Christian faith from their Jewish scriptures, and my friends, we must as well." (the sermon link is found here). Some Christians say, “The Old Testament is outdated, irrelevant, old covenant nonsense.” Others project their own view that God in the Hebrew Scriptures is jealous, petty, angry, and crotchety - but the New Testament God is all love and everyone gets a free puppy (they’ve clearly never read either testaments!).

What is our response to this?

1. Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament.

After Jesus had risen, two of His disciples were walking on the road to Emmaus, and in Luke 24, Jesus appeared to them and rebuked them for not anticipating His death, burial, and subsequent resurrection:

And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:25-27)

Steve Lawson says that the Bible is a "him" book - it is a book all about Him - all about the Lord Jesus Christ. "The Old Testament says He's coming. The Gospels say He's here. The book of Acts proclaim Him. The epistles explain Him. And Revelation says He's coming again. That's the Bible in a nutshell."

In Genesis we see Jesus, the Word, who was with God in the beginning, and that all things were made by Him and for Him.

We see Jesus as the Seed of Eve who would one day be struck but who would crush the head of the serpent.

We see Jesus as the manna from heaven and the rock in the wilderness that feeds, nourishes, and supplies God's people.

We see Jesus as the true and greater Passover Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and saves us from the fearful wrath of God.

We see Jesus as the one lifted up on the pole for all to see, and those who behold Him are saved from destruction.

We see Jesus in each feast, as God's people celebrate the living water that will never run dry, and the tabernacle of God who dwells with man.

We see Jesus in the songs, poems, and wisdom literature as the praise and fulfillment of Israel, the coming Messiah-King, and the Logos of God.

We see Jesus in the prophets as the suffering servant, the Beth lehem-born king coming on the foal of a donkey who will bring His people out of exile and redeem them.

2. All Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable.

Romans 15:4 says, “For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

In the verse right before this, Paul references Psalm 69:9. Ostensibly, Paul is recounting how Scripture written by David hundreds of years prior to this - written in antiquity - can simultaneously continue to both instruct and encourage believers throughout all time. There is a direct link between the people of God and God Himself - where God's revelation brings endurance and encouragement down to God's people, which causes hope to spring back up in praise, adoration, and glory back to God within and among His beloved image bearers. That link between God and His people - that revelation - is the Scriptures!

In fact, from this verse, John Stott provides us 5 important truths about Scripture (from verse 4) which I find very insightful:

John Stott: 5 Truths About Scripture a. Contemporary intention - they may have been written in the past, but the Holy Spirit inspired the writers of Scripture to have a timeless message for all generations. I can't think of any other book still relevant today after 2000+ years/ Thankfully dentists aren't consulting journals from the sixth century B.C. for your root canal! But that fact speaks to the power of God's eternal word. God's Word is able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

b. Inclusive value - everything written in the past is for our instruction. This doesn't mean everything in history - but everything we read in the Holy Scriptures. No, not everything in the Bible is of equal value (there are some verses with greater weight and impact than others), but even just a quote from a half-verse in Psalm 69 is valuable to us.

c. Christological focus - in other words, the Scriptures testify of Jesus. The Bible is for us - but it's not about us - it is about Jesus (as we just looked at above).

d. Practical purpose - Consider how the Scriptures instruct us, but they also bring encouragement and hope to us as we endure hardship. The Bible is not just a textbook for you to merely learn intellectually, as though the church gathering is a class we attend and hope to get an A in because we can regurgitate the material accurately. No, this book changes us from the inside out, it divides joints and marrow and provides hope and encouragement.

e. Divine message - there's a parallel with 'endurance and encouragement' in verse four, with 'the God of endurance and encouragement' in verse five. When Scripture speaks, God speaks! Justin Peters says, "if you want to hear God speak to you, read the Bible. If you want to hear God speak to you audibly, read the Bible out loud!"

3. The Old Testament Scripture provides hope and encouragement.

How do I live a life of hope in the midst of dark, despairing, evil and fearful days? Through endurance, and the encouragement of the Scriptures! Now in context, Paul is speaking specifically about the Old Testament - and yet even the Old Testament was written for our instruction.

There are some who would say "just read from the New Testament" - and sadly some pastors and churches only teach from the NT rather than from the volume of the book. Those with that view would get an earful from the apostle Paul! They'd also get an earful from the prince of preachers, Charles Spurgeon, who said:

“The apostle declares that the Old Testament Scriptures are meant to teach New Testament believers. Things written aforetime were written for our time.”

Consider what we have in the Old Testament:

We learn that there is a Creator God who is YHWH - gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in loving faithfulness, just and true.

We learn about the utter ruin of man and his incapacity to meet God's holy standard, and yet created as God's image bearers to rule the earth and fill it with the knowledge of God.

We learn about how God selected one nation to be His own special people, but how they failed to be loyal and faithful to the God of promise even though He had never failed them.

We learn how God provided a means to cover man's sin but this all foreshadowed how He would put a final end to sin through the redemptive work of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.

We learn how a remnant of God's people endured trials by God's grace and were justified by faith, whether it is Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Nehemiah, Esther, or Daniel. The OT writings produce in us a persevering faith and a faith that is encouraged to stay strong in the God of hope.

This is why it is so important for us to be people of the Book. To orient our lives, even our daily lives, around the study of and submission to the Word of God. A Christian who neglects the daily reading of Scripture is in effect saying "I am not in need of God's revelation today. I am too busy or I'm uninterested". And yet we fill our minds with the words of a thousand other counselors and then wonder why we lack both the knowledge of God's Word as well as persevering hope in the midst of despairing circumstances.

Open the pages of Genesis to Malachi today, and find endurance and encouragement in your walk with Christ!

Andy had the idea to name her after Ashe before I even brought her home so it became an on running joke because Elizabeth Caledonia Calamity Ashe + my last name is WAY TOO LONG of a name for a dog. FAITH: The Unholy Trinity

Lisa used to and still owns a Raggedy Andy doll that she got from her father and mother for her third birthday. It’s a really big comfort to have when she has nightmares or his anxious about something. (Additionally, she had a really big crush on Raggedy Andy when she was younger.)

Lisa is sensitive to touch and values certain textures over others. She loves soft and fluffy things as they bring her a sense of comfort and happiness.

Lisa’s favorite animals to care for are baby animals and animals with soft fur. Sheep, fluffy dogs, baby deer, kittens, and rabbits are all animals she adores.

Lisa is a pescatarian. She’s chosen this diet of her own volition for two main reasons: she doesn’t like the idea of eating red meat or poultry but she knows she needs some protein in her diet and feels better about eating humanely wild-caught fish in comparison. She also does it because she’s been informed that avoiding red meat is healthier anyway and she finds that knowing that helps encourage her to eat more.

FAR CRY

Prior to the Cult taking over, Boomer was regarded as being a quiet, brave, and loyal dog who never so much as growled unless it was an emergency. Since losing his family, he’s become much louder. He barks openly and aggressively, especially when he’s scared and will snap at people if he’s caught off guard.

Boomer now has a Far Cry New Dawn verse. He was taken in by the Cult and kept in John’s bunker, where he was treated with some of the remaining Bliss. Fortunately, it didn’t alter his appearance but it did improve his athleticism and prolong his lifespan.

Cheeseburger really likes pancakes in addition to cheeseburgers. Fluffy buttermilks with syrup are his favorite treat. He also adores barbecue food.

Like Boomer, Cheeseburger also has a Far Cry New Dawn verse. He was taken into a bunker in Jacob’s region and treated with some of the more modified Bliss that was originally used on Judges. It altered his appearance and made him stronger as well as more docile towards the Edeners.

Horatio has separation anxiety. After losing his family to the Highwaymen, he’s quick to bond with the kind humans of Prosperity who saved him. Anyone he’s traveling with he sticks close to. He squeals whenever they go into a place he can’t follow and will circle them when they emerge again. He’ll do tricks for them and boldly defend them from any other creature threatening them.

Horatio loves a good fight. This boar was well known for chasing off bears, wolverines, and cougars that got just a little too close. He’s even been known for shaking off shotgun rounds.

Horatio loves chickens. He grew up surrounded by them and loves to playfully heard them and help them dig up treats. Chickens love him too, and will routine roost on his fuzzy back or build their nests close to him. Horatio was once even found to be helping incubate a clutch of hen’s eggs.

Though Jerome Jeffries is a pastor, he tends to be very tolerant and  understanding in his beliefs. To him, faith is supposed to be a   supporting force for love and acceptance, not a leg for hate to stand on.

Jerome’s PTSD, both from the military and from his run-ins with the cult, mostly affects his sleep. He has nightmares about what the cult has done and what it will do if the Resistance fails.

During  the early defection of the flock from his church, Jerome's wife Joy left him to follow Joseph Seed's path, taking their daughter with her.   Joseph ended up drowning her by accident during one of his routine   baptisms (after which he stopped performing them himself and designated that responsibility to John Seed.) While he does have a note from Joy about her leaving, he doesn't know anything more about her fate.

The Judge is very much into gardening. They know the meanings behind all kinds of flowers, enjoy growing fruits and vegetables, enjoy making floral arrangements, and generally just find tending to the earth relaxing.

When at Prosperity, the Judge tends to stay by themselves and avoid going near anyone they used to know. They hide it well, but the comments they’ve received from some of their old friends hurts them. (This was only worsened after a small misunderstanding led to them being hollered at by Nick and the subsequent attention it drew to them became a lot to bear.)

The root of the Judge’s behavior lies in Joseph’s manipulation of them. Because of him, they sincerely believe that the end of the world as they knew it was their own fault. They gave in to the idea that they were the lamb that broke the seven seals and cause the Collapse. They were also convinced that everyone else knows this too, and that if not for that reason, then they are hated because their friends believed that the Judge abandoned them and joined the enemy; that they willingly joined Joseph and chose to stay with him for 17 years instead of being manipulated to do so (of which the comments have only unknowingly reinforced this idea). Because of these reasons, The Judge insists on punishing themselves and avoiding their old friends because they are unworthy of and unlikely to ever receive their forgiveness.

Despite their routine avoidance, the Judge never truly stopped thinking about their friends and they still care for them even if they believe the feeling is not mutual. If one looks closely enough, they’ll find the names of everyone they came to care about carved into their bow.

Generally speaking, the Judge does not like being the center of attention in any capacity. They do not like being watched or spoken about, they stick to the shadows and avoid most contact really. The only individuals they truly interact with on a consistent basis are Timber, Horatio, Eden’s animals, and an wild animals that approach them.

Trained as one of the finest Chosen to ever be, the Judge is catlike and graceful in all of their movements. They can move completely silently, sit perfectly still for hours, and hit an accurate target from anywhere. They can also lift a greater amount of weight than should be possible for someone of their size (and they are much leaner than they look beneath that outfit).

Staci went through Eli’s reprogramming routine and while he’s not longer so prone to violent tendencies, the effects of Jacob’s conditioning still linger. Hearing “Only You” will send him into an intense panic attack. He’ll scream his throat hoarse and run for cover, he’ll claw at his ears, and he’ll generally be inconsolable for a period during and afterwards.

In the wake of his conditioning, Staci is generally very submissive and conflict aversive. He has a hard time making eye contact, carrying conversations, and is generally very passive in the wake of aggression. He’s eager to please and even more eager to stay under radar. Unlike before, his desire to be appealing is less to impress and more to stay safe, and when he can’t prove himself useful, and tries to make himself as undesirable of a target as possible.

One of Staci’s greatest talents is guitar. He can play phenomenally and he can sing pretty well. In the wake of his time with Jacob, he hasn’t touched the instrument or made any attempts to sing, but he still could if he tried.

As an older dog, Timber’s endurance and joints aren’t what they used to be. He can still run like a puppy, just for not as long and he’ll need a rest afterwards.

The humidity aggravates the mild arthritis in some of his leg joints, so Timber enjoys swimming in the cool waters of Hope County to compensate. They ease the pain and the movement is generally easier than walking. Plus, he just likes swimming.

Timber used to be the leader of a relatively benign pack of wild dogs. They used to sometimes travel with kind humans, hence his understanding that not all people are bad. Eventually though, they were killed and his pack was taken by the Highwaymen.

Timber himself is incredibly inquisitive and perceptive. He can point out enemies, find key resources, learn about and recognize materials by name and smell, and knows how to maneuver over, under, around, and through certain obstacles. This includes opening doors, getting up into high places, and digging impressive tunnels.

To some extent, Timber could be considered an emotional support animal. He seems able to read the emotions of other beings around him and will comfort them if he finds that they are distressed.

Grand Theft Auto

In addition to being Steve’s glorified secretary, Andreas was unofficially designated the social media manager for the LS branch. He runs the FIB Bleeter page and it’s not marked anywhere so he really could post anything on there and no one would know.

Andreas is prone to bouts of anxiety with seemingly no source. He has no real explanation as to why, but he gets this sudden sense of dread or the feeling that there’s danger inexplicably and at random.

Andreas is really averse to wearing the color yellow. Not just because he thinks it makes him look unflattering, but because it dredges up a lot of bad memories for him. Additionally, he’s not fond of gold accessories for similar reasons.

the (not so) perfect night - a tyrus story

note: i hope you guys enjoy, it’s all i’ve been doing for the past couple hours!

TJ was beyond excited for that night. Cyrus invited him to Andi’s party at her grandmother’s house. TJ glanced at his phone, checking the time, expecting it to be time to leave, but realizing he still had a whole hour to finish getting ready. He wanted to look nice and impress Cyrus, even though he knew whatever he wore wouldn’t matter to his crush. TJ knew he liked him for who he was and never tried to make him into anything but himself. Unlike somebody who was hanging around TJ a lot lately. 

Speaking of Kira, he hoped and prayed that she wasn’t going to show up that night. He really wanted to talk to Cyrus, uninterrupted. 

TJ checked himself in the mirror one last time, fluffing his hair, before making his way to the living room and sitting at the grand piano. He wanted to make sure that he had perfected the song as he definitely did not want to mess it up tonight in front of Cyrus.

He had hoped this would get the ball rolling and his crush might realize that TJ is definitely gay. He practiced the chord progressions over and over again until he was sure that he had the song. He checked the time again, and sure enough, he had to head out.

TJ had made it to the party, talking to kids from school, seeing plenty of familiar faces. The only one he didn’t see was Kira. Thankfully. He was beyond relieved when he had been at the party for at least an hour and she hadn’t come up behind him, latching on. 

He was talking to some boys he knew from some classes. Then he heard Buffy’s voice, “TJ!” 

He turned his attention to his friend, who was standing next to Cyrus. The boys waved at each other with full smiles. 

He had just turned back when the familiar voice came from next to TJ, “Hey!” Kira exclaimed, she wrapped her arm. Maybe he spoke too soon. God, he hoped with all his might that Cy wasn’t watching this interaction. He forced himself to converse with the girl even though he’d rather be talking to a certain boy.

More people approached them and Kira pulled his arm around her shoulders. TJ smiled, though it was fake. He was going along with it, smiling and talking, he really couldn’t handle being outed, not before he told anyone at least. Nonetheless, TJ couldn’t take Kira intimidating and basically blackmailing him into staying friends with her anymore. 

She dragged him to the living room and plopped herself down on the couch. Once TJ sat as well, she cozied up next to him with a smile and an evil glimmer in her eye.

“I’m gonna go get something to drink,” TJ stood up without a warning, Kira inadvertently slouched back on the couch,

“Don’t make me wait too long,” she smirked and straightened her posture. 

As TJ walked towards the dance floor to grab a soda without Kira, a rush of feelings came back to him. He remembered the second time he and Kira talked, she left him on that bench terrified and invalidated, scared to be himself. The insecurity he felt, he began thinking that his feelings for Cyrus were the opposite of valid. She made him rethink everything unique about himself and he was done with her. 

TJ hadn’t realized how long he was staring at the cooler full of sodas until Kira came up behind him, “What’s taking you so long?” she playfully asked.

“Oh, sorry. Got distracted.” TJ stammered the answer. They made their way to the crowd of people near the dance floor. They looked out at their peers, “Why don’t you wanna dance?” Kira pressed. 

“I dunno, I just don’t,” TJ did know why, but fat chance he would tell Kira. “But you can go ahead,” he continued. 

Kira started laughing, “What’s so funny?” she was making fun of Cyrus and his dancing. TJ thought it was adorable and looked fun. Instinctively, he became protective of his crush, “You can’t do that,” 

“What?” Kira acted innocent.

“Laugh at someone for the way they dance,” TJ’s tone grew evermore serious. This was the last straw. She claimed he laughed as well, TJ clarified the fact that there’s a difference between thinking something is fun and funny. 

Kira’s smile dissipated, “Why don’t you admit what this is really about?”

“What do you mean?” “If I made you pick, me, or Cyrus?” she glanced to the dance floor knowingly, “You pick Cyrus,”

That brought TJ’s attention to the boy they were talking about. “Why do you do that, make me pick?” the corners of his lips turned downwards, creating a flat line on his mouth, “Cyrus never made me pick,” he stated, still staring at the boy. With some parting words, Kira turned away, “See you around,”

Thank god that’s over. TJ thought to himself, but still carrying the slight fear of what Kira might say about TJ. He watched his friends dance from the sidelines for a few songs. When they began to die down, he stepped up to the keyboard already set up on stage. He started playing a melody. 

Cyrus heard this and immediately knew the song. He grabbed a microphone he saw behind him, he was the first to come in on the tune. He hopped up on one of the stages and sang the opening verse of “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga directly at TJ. 

The boys smiled while maintaining eye contact. One by one, more of their friends joined in. Please get the message, Cy, please. TJ was trying not to let that boy distract him from playing those chords right. 

After Buffy came in on the chorus, Cyrus left the smaller stage with Amber to come up next to TJ and the keyboard. They chuckled happily before starting part of the next verse together. They sang loud into the mic and smiled at each other, not caring if they sounded awful.

As the chorus rose again, TJ wrapped his arm around Cyrus as they jumped with the beat. At this point, TJ stopped caring about what others thought and focused on Cyrus only. The song ended and they pushed the sides of their heads together. TJ could not have been more lucky to like a guy like Cyrus, and really hoped his crush was reciprocated. 

The song was over and Cyrus went back with Amber and Buffy as Andi headed outside. TJ went to the backyard to mingle some more, stalling his conversation with Cyrus. He was still rehearsing everything he was going to tell the other boy. He could barely keep up with the conversation he was in, distracted by thoughts of his crush. 

TJ finally decided to just sit down in front of the firepit, maybe clear his head before going to find Cy. Luckily, the shorter boy found TJ first, “Can I sit?” TJ motioned to the bench, as if telling him it was perfectly okay. 

Everything he had in his mind went out the window as soon as TJ turned and saw Cyrus’ face. He just went with his gut, hoping to keep this conversation as natural as possible. He compared Kira to a witch, “I poured water on her and she melted,” he jokingly responded when prompted with a question of where she went. 

The conversation progressed as Cyrus insinuated that TJ was mysterious. He claimed he wasn’t, “Ask me anything,” 

“Okay, what does TJ stand for?”

“Except that,” he panicked, raising his eyebrows and widening his eyes. So with some pleading a puppy-dog eyes, he realized how much he trusted Cyrus and finally said it, “TJ stands for… Thelonious Jagger,”

TJ prepared to be made fun of and braced himself for the oncoming impact. But all Cyrus had to offer was support, telling TJ that he genuinely loved his name.

He and Cyrus sat on that bench and TJ looked deep into the other boy’s eyes. He was able to snap out of his trance, deciding that this was his moment.

“Is… there anything else you wanna know?” TJ slid his hand off his knee, inching toward Cyrus’ hand as a wave of confidence hit him. Cyrus looked down at his hand and back at TJ.

Oh no. Why did I do that? TJ began doubting his action until the boy’s straight face turned into a slight smile, “Is…” copying the way TJ had phrased the original question, “There anything else you wanna tell me?” Of course there is. There’s so much I have to tell you, Cyrus. But a quiet “Yeah,” was all TJ could manage to spit out. He took a breath, repeating Cyrus’ question, “Is… there anything you wanna tell me?” as he inched his fingers closer to his once more. They both held their breaths, “Yes,” whispered Cyrus. TJ’s fingertips danced across the other boy’s hand as if asking ‘Is this alright?’ 

Cyrus twisted his wrist, letting their fingers interlock. It felt like that was where they belonged all along, it just took some time to realize that. The pair looked up into each others eyes, smiling. TJ’s smile truly erupted when he finally exhaled, as did Cyrus’. They sat in silence for a few powerful moments before starting to giggle, making that moment all the more perfect.

Negaverse Andy was an omega but he smells like an alpha thanks to the dark magic. If he lets his guard down enough he will smell of omega

Negaverse Sid never understood his heats and being in the slave market he was taught to ignore his heats and think they are bad. So…when he first had them at 13-16 it was so hard.

Negaverse Diego was very wary when Andy saved him and he had his first heat…Andy helped him by giving him food and water and meds to help him.

Normal verse Andy once locked himself In his room til his heat stopped. 3-6 days later.

Negaverse Matrix was so awkward when he got his heats…his brothers both alphas gave him meds to help him when they got bad
