&& Ruh-Roh. Hey guys Scooby here, I wanted to go ahead and say that Ashe will be going on low activity pretty much until her novel comes out. As much as I love Ashe and do have muse for Ashe, it’s hard to come up with interactions on here at this time. Now, that doesn’t mean I’m giving up, far from it. I plan on keeping her as my main, as I do have so many ideas with her and obviously my girlfriend has Sombra. However, Ashe does require plotting and AUs and all that and right now just seems like a time that is better for shorter interactions. – As the RPC is kind of quiet and potential seems to be low. 

So am I leaving RPC? Nope! Not even leaving Overwatch! I’m just picking up a muse where interacting will come a lot easier and I’ll have a lot more wiggle room with character concepts. I’ll be on Emily ( @empathetc ). I love Emily dearly, and have a ton of muse and ideas for her where Ashe is kind of in this weird limbo area for me atm since I’m chomping at the bit for the book.

I’m almost done with this extremely busy period of my life though and I’m hoping to dedicate one day to writing out of the week moving forward as it’s my favorite hobby since my other hobby is also a job-by. Ugly. I’ll also finish Emily’s blog sometime next week I have everything I just need to sit down and put it all up.

•  HEADCANON  ⇢   [ PROMPTED  ]   ⇢   LEGACY

​what is your muse’s legacy ? what do they want to be remembered for   &   what might they actually be remembered for ? - @a-la-mort​

        The obvious answer to Ashe’s legacy would be the Deadlock Gang, her criminal empire, her notoriety/reputation, her fortune, and the long lasting ‘peace’ she has established in the southwest of the states. Although, there is a more bitter thing Elizabeth will also be remembered for, the disowned daughter of the famous and powerful Ashe family itself. There is no doubt that she will go down in history books for a wide variety of things, and when she was younger this was exactly what she wanted.  -- Get rich, do crimes, live wild and get famous.  

       However, with age comes experiences and realizations, and these days while I think she still prides herself on all those accomplishments she also focuses much more heavily on the FAMILY aspect of her goals. She wants to be remembered as a safe place for the castaways of the world, creating the thing she had been denied since her birth. In many ways Ashe believes her cause to be justified -- she doesn’t see anything wrong with killing a few people and stealing if it means those she cares about are safe at the end of the day. While she doesn’t care to be painted as the sympathetic maternal type, in some ways has become that to many people and omnics alike. She wants to be remembered fondly by those she loved in her lifetime. That boils down to her found family -- which considering how LARGE Deadlock is that’s basically a whole town+ worth of people. 

         Now what she will actually be remembered for? A criminal. History will not be kind when they tell Ashe’s story. While she will most definitely go down in the history books the picture painted of her will be painted with blood ( which isn’t totally inaccurate.) She will live on in infamy as a famous outlaw, much like the real life world influences the character takes from (ex: Calamity Jane)

          Honestly I don’t think Ashe minds either way, as long as her family is safe and secure the rest of the world honestly doesn’t really matter -- hell I think she’d even pride herself on her notoriety and the fear she strikes in people. Perhaps the only thing she maybe regrets is having such a large legacy and nobody to leave it to.

Red painted nails dug into the younger woman’s skin as she hoisted her up onto the counter. A quickly stolen kiss leaves them both with a familiar taste. Ashe’s voice a bit lower than usual as she whispers into the hacker’s ear, “You sure you can’t stick around one more night?” The cowgirl’s hands traveled to Sombra’s waist to possessively tighten her grip. “You could tell em you’re busy, I just might gift you a contact to go back with to prove it was worth stayin.” Sharp fangs punctuate her sentence as they nip at the tender flesh on her neck.

        it began with a cup of coffee.  sombra kissed the rim of her mug with an inhale,  taking in the familiar aroma of sweet creamer and mexican espresso.  her first sip was slow,  almost methodical,  as she scanned the kitchen for anything of interest.  the first thing to catch her eye was the mechanical clock above the stove.  it was modern enough to light up and change with a set of buttons,  but old enough that you would still have to adjust it after power outages.  a glance at her phone screen confirmed that the time was accurate  -  11:32am.  it was much earlier than she would get up on any other day spent at ashe’s manor.  they knew she would be coming home any time now.

another sip,  and she began to wander.  her bag became victim to a kick across the tile,  sliding onto hardwood and into the wall by the front door.  the impact threatened to knock down the plethora of decorations nailed to the wall and she braced herself for one to fall.  to her relief,  a crash never came.  reminder to herself:  her senses were not what they normally were when blurred with a late night in.  with that in mind,  she continued to set the scene. 

she backed up slowly until her bottom hit the edge of the kitchen’s island.  the cold,  polished stone against bare skin sent a chill up her spine,  an unexpected shift from the warmth of the air around her. sombra adjusted to it quickly,  pressing herself against the counter until she almost sat upon it.  her head then tilted backwards to down the rest of her drink just in time for the lady of the house to arrive.

OVERWATCH. ;; V: Right Side of the Tracks // OVW!AU

Synopsis: During the early years of deadlock Jesse McCree was busted during a sting operation and given an ultimatum; life in prison or join Overwatch. In this verse Ashe was offered the same deal, disband Deadlock and join Overwatch or rot in prison. With heavy reluctance Ashe agrees to the former, but she was not as talented with a gun as Jesse. So while Jesse ended up in Blackwatch, they had a rather different idea for Ashe. -- Coming from a business background and gifted with natural charisma & charm it only made sense to make her an office asset instead of a field agent. Ashe wasn’t thrilled about this, even protested it and tried to run away on various occasions. However, with time and adjustment she resigned herself to her fate and became one of the most crucial parts of Overwatch -- Their number one PUBLIC RELATIONS agent. If Overwatch broke something, caused a scene, hell even if they were just too noisy it was Ashe’s job to smooth things over. It was because of her efforts that Overwatch received a lot less heat with the public, although she missed the days of causing trouble and often found herself daydreaming about something more adventurous and free. -- She had become what her parents had always wanted for her, a well behaved business woman with undeniable success. Most of her days and nights are spent doing paperwork, taking phone calls, and cleaning up messes discreetly and publicly depending on the situation. 

Bullet Points

Elizabeth became one of the youngest members to join the Overwatch Commander rank. 

Although she was just Head of Communications and Relations. 

Ashe still keeps up with her gun hobby but it is just that, a hobby, she’s not a field agent. Although she does have a natural interest in sniper riffles. 

Ashe’s parents reinstate her in this verse, she begrudgingly accepts that but it’s a very artificial relationship. They saw their daughter had turned her life around and wanted her associated with the Ashe name once more; Ashe accepted it out of a desperate desire to have a family since her Deadlock dreams didn’t work out. 

She does go by Elizabeth in this verse.

Her relationship with Jesse is very close, and Ashe views most of the OVW team as closer to her family than her actual family. 

She dreams of being a field agent and hopes one day her skill will prove something, but she’s too important to risk her inexperience in the field when she’s a god send in the office.

Due to her knowledge on Omnics / Omnic Repair she sometimes assists in the Medical Research Branch but only as a specialist when it calls for that. 

Otherwise she can be utilized anywhere as her job causes her to travel a lot.

&& HEADCANON ;; Relationships & Omnics/BOB 02

          It’s no secret that BOB raised Ashe, I personally HC that he was an omnic that was hired by the Ashe family who has a passion for domestic work (childcare, cooking, cleaning, that sort of thing). He was good at his job -- great even. He took care of Elizabeth basically since birth, and for sure as long as she can remember. -- So to say that Ashe doesn’t view BOB as a father would be incorrect. Their relationship is pretty straight forward, but Ashe’s view on the world differs harshly from the majority of character’s in the series because she was raised by what is basically a single father Omnic. -- That is not to say that Ashe NEVER saw her parents, although there was neglect, they were present in her life to some degree. I’ll get into that at some other time. 

           BOB’s mutism is a bit of a mystery, Ashe doesn’t know why he is, if something happened or if it’s a personal choice. She doesn’t mind regardless, and although it seems as if their conversations are one sided that’s 100% false. BOB has his quirks and personality traits just like any individual, even though he can’t speak with words his communication has always been clear to Ashe at least. 

          Her ability to modify and rebuild Omnics is a rare one. An ability that not only has she perfected over the years but one that she has poured her blood, sweat, and tears into. Now when I say ‘rebuild’ I mean within reason. She’s basically an Omnic ‘medic’ but she’s not a miracle worker, if the damage is in the head or too extreme; much like a person the Omnic will probably succumb to their wounds and die. Obviously she also can’t raise the dead, if they’re dead she can’t just ‘turn them back on’, Omnics are people after all. She’s had plenty of gang members die, despite her best efforts to save them -- however she’s saved just as many if not more. The losses weigh hard on her, but it never stops her from trying. 

          Omnics who have been treated roughly, who have been damaged, who are struggling are all welcome in Deadlock, and Deadlock has the highest Omnic membership % in all of North America. It’s a very controversial decision, but when has that ever stopped Ashe from doing anything. She provides upgrades, weapons, modifications, repairs, and more in exchange for loyalty. Family helps family, and if you’re part of her family then she’ll do everything in her power to do right by you. 

             Ashe has earned her reputation with Omnics over years and years of trust being built up, although most humans know her name to be that of a ruthless sniper with a criminal empire, Omnics know her more as a medic who takes in wayward souls. Ironically calling her a sniper or a medic is just chaotic as fuck and feels absolutely wrong, I like the concept that everyone just has it wrong and rumors about Ashe are as wild as the cowgirl herself. -- However, there is almost always a little truth to be found in legends and rumors. 

** Also side note from my tags here. Ashe DOES NOT ‘own’ BOB. She doesn’t OWN any of the Omnics in her gang. They’re people, they have their own cultures and societies -- Don’t be fuckin weird about that or assume that because wow! NO! Even if you don’t view BOB as Ashe’s Father, he still raised her like a caretaker and I’m sure he was HIRED TO DO THAT. YA KNOW. LIKE YOU HIRE PEOPLE TO DO THAT. Jesus Christ. -- Like for two seconds consider the SIZE of BOB you really think that Omnic didn’t CHOOSE childcare and domestic work -- he’s a gentle lad who just really likes kids and cooking and was probably a pacifist before Ashe needed so much protection.
