Cross Timbers summer wildflowers, Dec 2024, acrylic.

This is the largest realistic set of paintings I have done so far! The two canvases together are about 4 feet tall. The Texas Bluebonnet (Lupinus texensis) has been planted widely outside its original range, adding a lovely blue to the regional prairie natives. The prairie natives shown here are called red paintbrush (Castilleja indivisa), snow-on-the-prairie (Euphorbia marginata), firewheels (Gaillardia pulchella), yarrow (Achillea millefolium), deathcamas (Toxicoscordion nuttallii), and sneezeweed (Helenium amarum). These last two have the same English common name applied to multiple species throughout the North American great plains.

Doodle December Part 1

A Harry Potter server that I'm in is hosting a series of prompts for December and encouraging the members to either doodle or drabble something relating to the theme. So, these are the ones I've done so far with my OCs!

There was an episode of MLP where Luna and Celestia had their cutie marks switched and had to do each other's task

Long story short Luna accidentally caused a bad new article to surface, and a group of fillies didn't meet their goal for a field trip fundraise, and Luna felt so bad about it.

And everyone was like, you have other things to do, you can't help them right now. But like Luna is a princess, and one of the royal sisters to be exact. She lives in a castle, she should have access to funds. So why now donate money/bits to the school so the fillies could go on their field trip. It would only take a second to decree.

I'm still emotional in the best way from the AURORA concert in Sky: Children of the Light. I don't know how many times the concert will play but holy cannoli that was artistic expression done right (plus all of her songs are absolute bangers).
