I realized I had a bunch of CoS drawings I never shared here--mainly because they didn't feel 'big' enough to warrant their own post, if that makes sense?--and figured I had enough of a collection for a dump post!

Explanations for each row of images is as follows (if interested):

1.) Ah...Vasili von Holtz. Voted most favored, gentlemanly and least suspicious man in Vallaki. He and Saverio interacted again and I'm pulling out my hair, he's so suspicious but he keeps impressing my boy/ticking all his impressionable boxes...

2.) GUESS WHO MANAGED TO PULL OFF DISGUISE SELF??? Saverio has never been one to attempt magic because he 'doesn't have the brains for it' (it's the past trauma of an emotionally abusive household you see) but he found himself attempting it alone and...well...he'd like to utilize this new found talent down the road :J (Also his choice of look was 'something easy, so no mustache and with my father/brother's looks' because he's always been curious~)

3.) We briefly ran into Escher officially and boy...he and Saverio do not get along whatsoever. The cattiness is immediate and unfortunately Strahd gets a kick out of it, so I drew a non-canonical event but the embodiment of those two's relations already. I can't wait to meet him again and for actual fruit-on-fruit violence to commence

4.) The party! Kaz had found something while everyone was asleep or on watch, so this was just their fits at the moment (Ireena in one of her disguises which I still need to draw...)

5.) Not much else to say but 'they might not be related by blood, but they certainly are siblings!'

6.) Kaz found a little infernal familiar cat-thing that has been lovingly named Soot. We love him and if anything happens to him we will kill everyone and then ourselves

7.) Group had requested a Sav in just his nightshirt and stockings. Figured I could use the practice on conveying his prettiness

Okay, so who also loves Vasili hand up! In that scene he helped look for an outfit for the players' characters before dinner with Strahd A handsome helpful boy! He's great, isn't he? (Prop list is from @crowholtz )

okay listen I had no interest in having Vasilli von Holtz actually show up in the game but one of my players bought a mirror in the general store for the express purpose of looking for vampires by checking to see if they don't have a reflection

and god now I desperately want to orchestrate a scenario where Mr. Holtz befriends the party, helps them fight monsters, chills in their camp, and then one day the player tries to use their mirror for something and happens to see he doesn't have a reflection

the chances of it actually happening that smoothly are next to none but imagine the looks on their faces if I pulled it off

Strahd nervously adjusted the lace at his chest and tried to take a deep breath.

The disguise was holding perfectly, but he secretly wished there was something that made it look a little less uncanny. As he stared ahead at the reflection in the glass, his baby brother's features stared right back at him: The unruly curl in his hair; The small freckle beneath his eye (just like their mother's)...

The eyes were his though. They'd always had the exact same eyes.

And the same nose...

Blood flashed in his mind and his heart raced—or at least the memory of that feeling.

He hurriedly looked away and gritted his teeth, 'Don't. Don't think about it'

Perhaps he was wrong. Maybe this wasn't the best disguise.

But it was Sergei. And everyone loved Sergei.

In a moment, the spell faded, and he looked in the window to see himself again: Pale, discolored skin; Fiery red eyes.

They used to have the same eyes...

‘How has it been now?’

Footsteps suddenly rose up behind him and he rushed the disguise again. He didn't have time to check himself in the makeshift mirror, but he trusted his magic enough to at least be able to walk down the alleyway.

As he turned, he had to catch himself as he nearly ran into a woman coming from the opposite direction.

"Oh! Excuse me! I'm so sorry!" She quickly stepped back and lowered the book she had been reading.

"Quite alright. My fault, really."

As he turned to go back to the castle, Strahd caught a glimpse of himself in the dusty window.

'That's not right.'

In his hurry, the spell didn't fully take. He must have stumbled over the incantation in his head and gotten it wrong.

The hair was right.

‘No, wait.’

There was no curl, and his grays showed through.

The freckle was right, and his skin was no longer discolored, but he looked... older. Well, older than Sergei would have been.

��Should have been...’

Strahd turned away, shaking his head, and tried to ignore the tears threatening to fall.

Vasili and Saverio met awhile back when the group first entered Vallaki and despite only having one bread d̶a̶t̶e̶ hangout together thus far, I think about the interaction a lot. Mostly because Saverio wants to impress him sooooo bad (he's just such an interesting man!!!)

Curse Of Strahd posting~

So we met this toy maker in Vallaki immediately after burning down the carpenters house and getting the bones. Apparently he’s made multiple of these dolls already that look exactly like Veiristasia, and he’s been selling them to the creepy demon arm dude Izek. He’s never seen Veiri before. Vasili thought Veiri’s terrified reaction was humorous and bought the last one for a gold piece. Veiri let him keep it so she didn’t have to look at it anymore.

I decided to draw the doll!
