So because Halloween is coming up, I decided to put together a rec list of my fics that are perfect for Halloween - none of these are really directly Halloween themed, but they have Halloween or spooky vibes. I divided them up between fics that are on Tumblr and fics that are on AO3 because my account is archive locked so you do need an AO3 account to read those fics. Recently posted, and one of the most 'Halloween' fics I have ever written. Very angsty, very spooky. Great if you are looking for some great emotional Halloween dread - like the kind that a horror movie would bring. It was one of my favourites to write, and I hope you guys enjoy reading it.

Precious Time Alone - Gar Logan x Fem!Reader (DC Titans) (11,800 words)

Even with the ability to see the future, you never would have guessed that your life would lead you to falling in love with the perfect man - someone sweet, caring, funny, cute. I put this strictly on the list because it is in the style of A/B/O (even though it's not technically A/B/O, because the reader character is technically human) - because what is Halloween without a little monster fucking? I need to write more monster fucking lmao. Anyway, I love this fic and I love this fic so much - and I hope you will too.

What would Halloween be without some TWD? There is much 'spookiness' to this one, aside from the fact that it's technically set during a zombie apocalypse - it's just pure porn. But whenever I think of Halloween, I do get the urge to watch TWD, so I had to have my boy Daryl in here somewhere.

Damn The Man, Save The Empire (Five Nights At Freddy's) (6,100 words)

Vanessa has always taken care of you. Since the two of you were kids, she has put her neck on the line for you, and you rarely knew how to return that epic kindness. One night, while both of you are raw and on-edge, the dark cloud of your strange past looming over both of you nearly swallows both of you whole - and once again, Vanessa is right there, taking care of you. (Dark)Dom!Vanessa Shelly x Sub!Gender Neutral Reader. Toxic Co-Dependent Relationship. Smut and Angst. Takes place before the main timeline of the film.

The main spooky thing about this one is the fact that Vanessa is very much a sociopath in this, and who doesn't love a dark fantasy where a serial killer fucks your brains out. I really need to write more fics like this, because this one was so much fun to write - I love writing dark characters to their extreme.

Ghosting - Mike Schmidt x Fem!Reader (Five Nights At Freddy's) (3,700 words)

Mike has been in love with you for as long as he can remember. For about as long as the two of you have been best friends. He always thought he would have more time to work up to confessing those big, dangerous feelings for you - until something more dangerous swooped in and stole any time he had left with you. Mike Schmidt x Fem!Reader. Star-Crossed Lovers. Pure Angst. Set during the events of the movie.

Again, this is one that brings horror movie dread - I think that angst is really great for Halloween, especially because this is based off a great Halloween movie. This won't be for everyone because it doesn't have a happy ending, but if you are looking for something very angsty, I hope you enjoy reading this.

Hold Me Tight Or Don't - Glenn Rhee x Fem!Reader x Maggie Greene (The Walking Dead) (7,200 words)

Everyone should get one last wish. Right? Well, that’s not exactly something you wanted to be thinking of in the middle of a musty old prison library when you have a pack of Walkers crawling up your ass. But you’ll work with what you’ve got. And you have the loves of your life at your disposal and the remaining time that God has given you. Glenn Rhee x Fem!Reader x Maggie Greene. Established Relationship. Major Character Death. Smut and Heavy Angst. Set during Season 3, Episode 4.

This one I put on the list because of the mixture of angst, gore, and smut. I love fics that have a mixture of gore and sex (it's something that I really should do more often) because I feel like sex and death really have such a natural relationship. And this one, unlike the Daryl fic, really brings the zombie aspect to the forefront. It's one of my favourite fics I have ever written, and I think it is perfect for the spooky Halloween mood.

No Brainer - Derek Cho (Steven Yeun) x Fem!Reader x Melanie Cross (Samara Weaving) (Mayhem (2017)) (7,100 words)

When the ID-7 Virus, aka the Red Eye Virus hits Towers and Smythe Consulting, it throws the entire office building into chaos. With a mandatory quarantine from the CDC in action, that chaos builds in on itself, and somehow, you, Derek, and Melanie get everything that you want. aka You have something Derek and Melanie need. Derek and Melanie have something you want. You all agree to make an exchange, and everyone ends up more than happy. Derek Cho (Steven Yeun) x Fem!Reader x Melanie Cross (Samara Weaving). Strangers to Lovers. Smut. Set during the canon of the film Mayhem.

This one is perfect for Halloween because it's based off of an amazing horror movie. Also, it's no coincidence that there's two Steven Yeun fics on fics on this list. He looks really good covered in blood.

Arms Tonite - Bee (Samara Weaving) x GN!Reader (The Babysitter (2017)) (2,100 words)

Sunrise is fast approaching with every second that ticks by - another second you spend with Bee, another second you lose in the fight to gain more time with her. The deal you had made was impossible to complete, and the Devil was eager to get his claws on your immortal soul. But of course, Bee was brewing up some plans of her own. Bee x Gender Neutral Reader. Friends to Lovers. Angst/Horror. Set outside the events of canon.

This was one of my first shorter fics, and I am still really proud of it. Also, it's great for Halloween cause it involves literal human sacrifice. This was actually one of my first fics to experiment with major gore and violence elements - which was largely inspired by the film. And I would love to write a longer (smut) fic with Bee sometime. I love her character so much and I feel like she is so underappreciated.

Very Good Bad Thing - Antisepticeye x Fem!Demon!Reader (8,200 words)

Valentine's Day is a busy time for you, seeing as you're a sex demon, and you close most of your deals when people are feeling lonely and vulnerable. Of course, Anti just had to interrupt you. To give you his stupid... "present". Anti x Fem!Reader. Exes to Lovers/Frenemies. Smut and Gore.

So, technically this is a Valentine's day fic - because I got the idea that I wanted to post a seasonal fic on Valentine's day on one of my old blogs and this monstrosity came to mind. But this fic is a heavy mixture of gore and smut, so I feel like it would be perfect for Halloween too. This is actually my first ever smut fic that included any gore (and it's my only youtuber ego fic, though I would like to write more of them, because they are so much fun) - and I had so much fun writing it. I love writing about demons and characters who are amoral on their basis, because there is no rules. And that just makes it so much fucking fun.

Author's note: This chapter is just about the OC, because I want you to know her. I hope you like it and please let me know somehow if you do.

DAYLIGHT ON WATTPAD

Not many people could say this - especially at the age of twenty-four, but her life was perfect. If you can define what these two words perfect life means to you, her life was probably a hundred times better. Living alone in a fancy and big apartment in the middle of Atlanta with a view of the whole city. She had an amazing job that gave her a free gym pass and fruit on Thursdays. She had many friends and, a new fast car and her face was well known among people not just in Atlanta, but in the whole state.

"Yes mom." she said to her phone. "Are they coming with you guys?"

She was listening to her mother ranting on and on about them moving to Atlanta, because of some virus that was going around lately. But it was like that for a week at least. Her mom was freaking out, she was listening to it and scientists or other smart people couldn't tell what is the cause of the infection and how to stop it.

She fixed her hair and smeared pink lipstick on her lips.

"Charlie! Five minutes. They're waiting for you!"

"Okay Mommy, I have to go." she cut her mom short. "I will call you later and I'm seeing you in a week."

Charlie didn't know she won't see her family in those seven days and that was probably one of the last conversations she had with her mom. She would listen to her more carefully if she knew that she would never hear her voice.

"Yeah. Love you too." she said. "And don't worry about it, it's probably temporary. Bye."

"Is she scared?" asked Vanessa, who was responsible for doing her makeup.

"Yeah. She's paranoid."

Vanessa smiled and put powder on her forehead.

"I saw the video." she replied."This virus might be true, Charlie."

She rolled her eyes and stood on her legs, touching her hair. "Mhm. Dead people walking on the streets. What next? Brat Pitt will be trying to find the cure for that? Please."

"Charlie!" the producer yelled her name.

"I'm coming!"

So around one week before, the whole country panicked as they found out about the virus going around. There was a shooting in LA - nothing new, but someone leaked the video of a man being shot at by the police. He had around ten or so shooting wounds but still was able to walk around like nothing had happened. What killed him for good was a bullet between his eyes. After the video was seen by almost everyone in the country, the authorities informed that there was something bad in the air.

And here's the thing, Charlie didn't believe any word she heard in the news, because for the whole seven days, everyone was quiet, there was no virus or anything similar before. What she was sure was that the video was edited or it was a shot from some kind of video game, because a man could not be a walking sack of bullets and still breathing.

That was no virus. That was bullshit.

That's why she couldn't understand why she was doing what she was doing. Right now she should be in the studio, asking some fancy chef what he has got for them this time. Lamb or maybe octopus? She should be in the studio doing pointless interviews, so all housewives of Atlanta and the nearby area could be happy. Instead, she was ready to walk into the safe zone...

She sighed heavily.

Atlanta was the safest city of all - at least that's what they were saying. It was fortified, and the sight of tanks, military cars, or soldiers with serious-looking weapons on the streets of the city was pretty normal by now. That's why the authorities asked everyone who could to move here and wait for what was coming in a safe place.

Bullshit, because nothing was coming.

"Hello." said the woman, dressed pretty normally for someone who was the boss in charge of the safety of this place. "My name's Olivia Clark."

The whole accommodation was also normal. One alley and a couple of useless buildings secluded from the rest of the city with a wire fence. They also put up some trailers, so there would be more space for newcomers.

Some kids were running around, playing with toys, or drawing with colorful chalk. It wasn't crowded yet - some people here and there, talking or doing other day-to-day things, but at the same time Charlie didn't expect to see anyone here, so that was really shocking to her.

"Thank you for coming here today. As you can see there's not many people here yet." said the woman. "We should do everything in our power to tell as many people as possible about this place."

Charlie smiled tightly.

She was here because that's what she got paid for, she wasn't some type of Miss Universe to pray for the peace in the world. It wasn't her choice to come here and she just wanted to have things done.

"You can film this building and trailers. That's where people sleep, eat, and just spend their time. Over there, there is a canteen, so feel free to go there." said the woman in charge. "Just don't go in the building over there."

"What's in that building?" asked Charlie immediately.

Olivia looked over at the building and gulped, then she looked back at Charlie with a heavy sigh.

"I guess you' 're a part of this now, so I can show you," she said. "But no cameras. People can't find out about this."

This place was probably some old police station or something of that type. At first, it was just a normal place, where they were probably keeping all of their medication and where doctors were. Because everyone was walking around in blue uniforms and gloves. Hospital was her first thought and in fact, she wasn't that far from the truth.

"If you want to pass those doors you have to leave your camera and everything that would record anything. We will search you." she informed and some people just walked to her, cameraman Jerry and the rest of the crew. "You have to promise that you just forget what you're going to see in a moment."

Charlie shrugged and signed a paper that was probably some kind of agreement. She couldn't care less at this point and to be honest, she didn't want to be part of this, she was just curious. They also got white masks. The lady who handed it to them said something that sounded like good luck followed by: "You're gonna need it."

"Isn't that exciting? We're one of few people that get to see whatever's in here." said excited Kyle - he was a part of the crew, responsible for the sound. "I love our job." he smiled and entered to the next room.

"Bubble baths are exciting," she mumbled under her nose.

When they walked through the doors they found themselves on a long corridor with different types of doors.

First, they saw some cells with pale-looking people. They looked pretty normal, but just like people with a fever. Doctors or nurses were walking around them, making sure that they took medication or measuring their temperature.

In the next cell, people looked much worse. They were shivering and droplets of cold sweat were running down their faces. They were just laying there with probably cold compresses on their foreheads. Not many healthy people walked around them, they were kind of left alone.

Right next to it was yet another cell with people that could barely blink and even that seemed painful. Those people were just waiting for death to come at this point and it was very painful to watch. Not that she felt for them, it was just inhumane to keep them alive like that. She could imagine her brothers or parents or even herself like that and Charlie knew that she would rather be killed.

"We segregate them on stages." informed Olivia. "We don't know which ones are just sick and which ones are infected."

The whole crew with Charlie looked at Olivia with narrowed brows.

"Oh, we searched them before we let them in. We checked if they have any scratches or bites." she explained. "We have no idea how that happened."

Oh, it was the only sure thing in the recent situation. Smart people didn't know how the virus got awakened, but people could be infected in two ways: scratch or bite. Charlie didn't know why another person could bite another human being, maybe it was caused by hallucinations? Or fever?

Charlie was lost.

What did Olivia mean when she said that? Those were human beings, but they were just sick. Why did she become so tense as soon as she walked through those doors? What the hell was going on here?

"Let's go."

Reed stood for a moment longer next to a cell. There was something that caught her eyes inside. It was a man who was just lying there and could barely breathe on his own, but as he moved she was able to see a bloody stain on his stomach.

It was a bite.

She was horrified because that's not how she imagined the bite. She had four brothers and being the only girl wasn't easy growing up. When they were younger Charlie often found herself in the middle of a physical fight, tackling them, biting them, or being bitten. But any of her marks looked like that. The bit wasn't big and it looked as if a human being was a cause of it, but there was something scary. It was deep, to the bone - just a piece of meat gone. Bleeding torn wound, almost as if some hungry animal did it.

Before she had a chance to take a closer look, she heard gagging and gasps. She looked in the direction of her coworkers and headed to where they stood.

This time they didn't stand before a cell, they stood before something that looked like an interrogation room. But it wasn't important- not in comparison to what they all saw inside. It was something that no news or viral videos could prepare you to see. She held her gag herself as she saw what was inside.

"We have two more full of these," said Olivia. "And two more just waiting to be filled."

It was maybe ten walking things and around five sitting ones. They looked horrible, but as much as she would like to just look away, she was hypnotized in a way. They all were moving their jaws, walking around to find something else than the rotten body. She has never seen anything like it. Rotten bodies, pale skin, and nails that could tear flesh easily. Its eyes were empty as if hidden behind a gray cloud. It looked like a person but surely wasn't anymore.

She knew that there was a special glass separating them from those things, but she didn't feel safe at all. They could probably sense them somehow - maybe by their scent or maybe they could hear them because one of those things was facing them. Snarling and bringing the attention of others' dead bodies, and soon all of them were on a glass, trying to reach them.

"We should go." said Olivia."Once they hear you, they won't calm down."

She was looking at the camera, the microphone shaking in her hands that she just couldn't stop. She swallowed but still had this horrible picture in front of her eyes. The lifeless body of a thing that was once someone. Empty eyes and yellow teeth move in a hunger. Snarling still in her ear as if one of them was behind all the time.

"Charlie you good?" asked one of the members of the crew. She just looked at him, so he came up to her. "I know it's scary. I want to run away from this place just like you, but...there's work to do."

Charlie furrowed her brows at him.

"You want me to lie? It's not safe here," she whispered, so Olivia couldn't hear. "I have a family too and I wouldn't want them to come here."

"And they won't." he said. "Charlie. Just do your work."

She swallowed what wanted to leave her insides and looked over at her other friends. They were as pale as she was and their eyes showed that they think just like her. Kyle was no longer smiling, but sitting in front of his console looking at it with an empty stare. She didn't know if people could hear anything from what she was about to say, as their sound specialist was just sitting there, not moving as if those things ate his insides. Cameraman Jerry could barely hold the camera as his hands were shaking.

"3...2...1..."

"Good morning Atlanta." Charlie smiled as wide as she could. "You probably wonder where I am today? Today I visited Atlanta's safe zone..." her voice stuck in her throat because what she had to say next was just a bunch of lies. "Atlanta's safe zone...the best place to stay during the epidemic."

Charlie swallowed looking into the camera.

"If there's a safe place somewhere, it's here in Atlanta. You will get medical help, food and water, and a place to sleep." she said. "There's also military supervision at the gates, so nothing alive or..." Before she finished her sentence the dead eyes of the dead flashed right in front of her face. "Nothing alive or dead would get through."

Charlie smiled even wider to encourage anyone who would watch her to come to Atlanta.

"So if I were you...If I would have a choice, I would want to be here. In Atlanta's safe zone. Please bring your families and let's stay safe." she appealed. "It was Charlie Reed. Have a great day Atlanta."

As soon as she ended her broadcast and got rid of all the mics, she entered her car and just sat there. Tears of fear ran down her face and she knew that she would do anything to stop her family from coming here. To this day this whole virus was just a gossip, a dream and nothing real.

But she saw it, with her own eyes. She saw it, heard it, and even smelled it.

Another thought formed in her head, the one that took her breath away and crushed her ribs. The news that was surrounding them was just a bunch of bullshit. People out there didn't know shit about the virus and what was really going on. They didn't know what those things looked like and they just thought about them as sick people.

Now Charlie was sure about a different thing- there was no something like a safe zone or place.

It was all bullshit.

i'll be honest, if i were to make a COMPLETE list of characters, i can promise you, we'll be here forever.

what i can do is make a list of characters i am interested in/motivated to write!

below is a collection of my characters and what subseries (aka storylines and potential books/novellas) they are apart of. most of their universes can overlap, with the exception of Curtain Call and Memento Vivere

a lot of these character descriptions are the summaries of notes i have for each character mentioned. if there are specific things you would like to know, feel free to send it my way!

Endzone, Endgame

Novak Daskalov is a single father. Depending on the timeline, he either is a professional linebacker OR a defensive coach for the football team he played for. I write both eras of his life pretty frequently. Novak was a foster kid before he was adopted by his now-mother, Marina. He has a daughter named Elya and a girlfriend named Evangeline (*for those of you who have been around, novak's original girlfriend was named yuliya and i am currently in the progress of changing up those early fics. by time his book came out 'Endzone, Endgame', which you can find here, i had given him a new girlfriend.)

Evangeline Vyachekova is a former figure skater with a past she left her home country of Ukraine to escape from. She has two general timelines with Novak, recreational skater after stepping back from competition and competitive figure skater. Evangeline is very selfless and often assumes the role of caretaker with Novak and her loved ones.

Until the Heavens Fall

*this series is connected to Endzone, Endgame while also standing on its own.

Vanessa McAllister has two timelines I write for her. Both, of course, are with Willow. In one, Vanessa is a bodyguard who typically works night shift. She works as a bodyguard for actors, actresses, models, or their reckless young adult children. She was a police officer before that, before she even moved to town and later moved in with Willow, but quit after a traumatic event. After a few years of bodyguard work, Vanessa went back to the police force part time and eventually full time because at the end of the day she loves being a police officer and helping those in need.

Willow Atkinson is a nursing student, specializing in emergency medicine with a side gig as a sports physician while she gets her clinical credits. Willow adores her job and wants to help people, though she helps people in different ways than Vanessa.

Milan Kovalev-Wang is a close friend of Willow and another medical student. He specializes in pediatric medicine. Milan was disowned from his family when he was eighteen after opting out of an arranged marriage. While Milan wants to work in pediatric medicine, he also does emergency relief work (natural disasters and the like) and enjoys that.

Ballad of the Wildflowers

Meadow Huston is a musician for fun and a bartender for money. She grew up in a family that was all about the high city life. Meadow, however, has always loved the more laid back small town country life as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the city. When she turned 18, she moved to a small town in the Appalachian mountains where she works at a tavern. The family who owns the tavern have taken Meadow as their own. Meadow plays music at the tavern most nights she works to bring in a little extra money but she enjoys what she can do.

Houston Robinson is everyone's big brother honestly. He's a tattoo artist, a bartender, and a cat dad. Houston loves to work but only in jobs that he doesn't hate. He works full time as a tattoo artist during the day and works at the tavern with Meadow part time (as in, pretty much whenever he wants to). He started out as a ranch hand at the Dixon family's farm (the family that owns the tavern) and much like with Meadow, they've taken him as their own too. Houston's life has been filled with bad experiences, so he came to town to start over and he is perfectly content living the life he does.

Kaleidoscope

Saylor Thompson is an art student. Her past is marked by hardship, shaping her into a fiercely independent and resilient young woman who isn’t afraid to stand up for herself or those she cares about. Beneath her tough exterior lies a depth of emotion and creativity that she channels into her art, using it as both an escape and a means of expression. Saylor is deeply loyal to her close friends, especially Julian, with whom she shares a bond forged in mutual understanding and support. Though she often presents a hardened front, those who get close to her see the vulnerability and fierce determination that drive her.

Julian Avery is a gentle soul with a passion for helping others, especially those in the LGBT community. At 20 years old, he is a psychology student with aspirations of becoming a clinical psychologist, focusing on outreach for LGBT youth. Julian is also a talented graphic and fashion designer, often spending his free time creating intricate digital art and stylish clothing. His soft, wavy blond hair and light blue eyes reflect his kind-hearted nature, making him approachable and easy to confide in. Beyond his academic and creative pursuits, Julian is an accomplished cheerleader, excelling as a flyer in competitive cheer.

Keagan Richards is a figure surrounded by an air of mystery, someone who has managed to weave themselves into the lives of Saylor and Julian, adding complexity to their dynamic. Though details about him are less known, Keagan’s presence is significant, offering a unique perspective or challenge to those around him. Whether through his actions or the emotions he stirs in others, Keagan plays a crucial role in the unfolding stories of the people he’s connected with, shaping their experiences in subtle yet impactful ways. He is a character whose influence is felt deeply, even when not immediately understood.

Mercury Williams was born a month early, so he was held in the neonatal intensive care unit under close surveillance. After his body was ready and capable of surviving with a mother’s care, he was placed into a foster home where he lived for six years. His foster family thought him being diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder was too burdening so they transferred him to another foster home. His new family have actually adopted him and are some of the best people he knows. Mercury has always had an interest in space technology and has almost undying dreams to work for NASA. Mercury is a child prodigy and enrolled in college when he was 15 to give himself extra academic challenges.

Memento Vivere

Amancio Sabilline is a vampire and a supernatural mentor. Amancio is a protector of his former hometown, mentor to new supernaturals, and dedicated researcher. Amancio usually opposes the myth of vampires as mindless killers, promotes peace among supernaturals, and is committed to supernatural research. He values knowledge, control, and the safety of those he protects. He is very good at finding newly turned supernaturals (or those who just realized their power) and training them to hone and use their powers in the best way possible.

Seraphina Rossi is also a vampire and Amancio's wife of convenience. Back in their human days, they both knew they were attracted to the same sex. But, given the circumstances, could never reasonably act on it in public. They married each other as a convenience tactic and have remained 'together' ever since. Unlike Amancio, Seraphina is far less peaceful and fiercely protective of women and other vulnerable people, going as far as using her vampire abilities to help those who may be in unsafe situations. She runs a shelter for victims of unsafe situations, but often sends the supernaturals to Amancio and takes care of regular humans herself.

Hemlock Robinson (unrelated to Houston) is a newly turned half-ghost, half-human. He was the son of world renowned supernatural hunters but has always aimed for peace with non-violent supernaturals. Hemlock ran away after he discovered his abilities and has remained a faithful student to Amancio and Seraphina ever since.

Curtain Call

*this project is connected to Memento Vivere but stands alone as well

Cassius Delacroix is a young (well, he's 20) sorcerer whose brilliance shines in the quiet moments spent buried in ancient tomes and spellbooks. His mind is a treasure trove of magical knowledge, far surpassing his years, but his frail body often struggles to keep up with the sharpness of his intellect. Cassius has lupus and an issue with his thyroid which leaves him fatigued and vulnerable. Cassius is deeply empathetic, with a gentle soul that seeks solace in the academic side of magic, where he can exert control and find comfort in structure.

Calypso Delacroix is a force of nature, her magical prowess matched only by her fierce determination to shield her brother, Cassius, from the hardships of their world. With striking beauty and formidable strength, she’s often objectified in the magical performances she’s forced to partake in, yet her true power lies in her unwavering love and sacrifice. The deal she made with a demon to save Cassius has left her with a painful curse—every spell she casts now harms her, yet she continues to wield her magic, driven by a desperate need to protect him. Beneath her determined exterior, Calypso harbors a deep fear and guilt, knowing that her actions, while born of love, have placed her on a dangerous path.

Emergency Exit

*this is a new project, loosely connected to the universe of Endzone, Endgame and such, but stand entirely alone and is (planned) to be a book coming out early next year (which I'm super excited for!)

As an EMT, he’s dedicated to saving lives, channeling the empathy born from his own painful past into every call he answers. Growing up in an bad household and later enduring the cold cruelty of unsupportive host families, Arcenciel has developed a deep well of compassion that he draws upon daily. But while he excels in his professional life, his personal one is a different story. Burdened by his family’s demands to conform to their expectations, Arcenciel finds himself trapped between his true identity and the life they want him to lead.

Adrien Marchand is the man who knows how to find the perfect setting for any occasion. With a background in Art History and a keen understanding of architectural heritage, Adrien has carved out a niche as a highly sought-after venue finder. His ability to secure the most exquisite locations for events has made him an indispensable part of Celeste’s team, and his calm, collected demeanor has earned him the respect of everyone he works with. But beneath his polished exterior lies a man in turmoil. Stuck in a relationship that’s more about fulfilling expectations than finding happiness, Adrien is hesitant to disrupt the life he’s built—even if it means denying his own desires.
