Must Visit Things to Do in Spokane
Spokane, situated in Washington State, is an active city that captures the essence of new-age city life alongside stunning natural scenery. The city offers its visitors breathtakingly beautiful parks, significant historical monuments and buildings, a variety of attractive art immersion, and a great variety of view food. If you're seeking out things to do, Spokane will not let you down.
At the same time, almost anyone interested in this beautiful city might be satisfied, whether you are interested in nature, history, the arts, or cuisine. Spokane has a lot to offer, and the following is the list of five recommended things to do in Spokane that tourists should visit.
Explore Riverfront Park
Riverfront Park is one of the major attractions in Spokane, WashCentre's Center. It is 100 acres, so it has many sights and can provide many exciting things to do for everyone.
The park's green space was constructed initially for the 1974 World's Fair and remains a free-access cultural facility for nationals and tourists nowadays.
Iconic Spokane Falls
Of the highlighted geographical structures in the park, the most impressive feature is probably Spokane Falls. These waterfalls are significant and unique, and while there are no helicopter tours or full-on treks through Victoria Falls, several viewing platforms throughout the park allow for the breathtaking sight.
For a better perspective, spin the Spokane Falls SkyRide, a gondola ride that visually narrates the falls and their vicinity.
Numerica SkyRide
Another popular attraction is the Numerica SkyRide in Riverfront Park, quickly becoming popular. This type of gondola ride is one of the highlights of any visit to this city, as is the beautiful falls it overlooks.
The actual ride takes roughly 15 minutes, and the exciting part is that there are myriad photo-worthy views throughout the experience.
Looff Carrousel
You can ride in the historical Looff Carrousel, a centennial carousel with intricately carved wooden horses for the kids and the child in you. This fun ride attracts kids and the young due to its timeless appeal.
Skate Ribbon and Pavilion
Riverfront Park's entertainment features include an ice ribbon that turns into a roller path. Nestled to the ribbon is the U.S. Pavilion, a large facility utilized for performances, functions, and a spectacular illumination show. Due to its construction and colorful environment, the pavilion can be considered the park's Center.
The M.A.C. Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture
For those who want to understand the history and culture of the Inland Northwest area, a journey to the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (M.A.C.) is a must.
This Center is located in the city's Browne's Addition neighborhoods and has a rich collection of exhibits, including art, history, and Native American culture.
Permanent Collections
This museum's collection is focused on objects from Native American cultures, especially the Plateau cultures of the Pacific Northwest. These collections give a rich history of the Aboriginal community that lived in the area for several generations.
Rotating Exhibits
Besides the permanent collections, there are temporary exhibitions and installations in the M.A.C., focusing on such genres as contemporary art and history with integrated elements. This is usually the case because such exhibits tend to showcase the artists' creations from the region and depict topics related to the area's past and present experiences.
Campbell House
Right beside the museum is the Campbell House, an original early twentieth-century-styled mansion. Tours of the house are available and reveal what life was like in Spokane for the people living there in those days. The Campbell House is one of the city's biggest attractions and an essential exemplification of the area's historical and architectural traditions.
Enjoy Outdoor Adventures at Riverside State Park
Natural lovers should consider themselves lucky to get a taste of Rivers State Park, a treasure trove of opportunities for those who want to spend time in the open air. This is one of the biggest parks in Washington, covering 9,245 acres and four miles northwest of Spokane.
Hiking and Biking Trails
Within the park are numerous, well-marked trails for hiking and biking that pass through wooded areas, open fields, and along the river edge. Some of the most used trails are the Bowl and Pitcher Loop, which gives a perfect view of the Spokane River and remarkable bowl-shaped rocks.
Water Activities
The Spokane River surrounds the park, creating good water recreational opportunities. Canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding are fashionable leisure activities, and with flat water to go on, one can just rent a kayak for the day.
Fishermen can also see different kinds of fish in the river, a common feature of the water source.
Camping and Picnicking
Riverside State Park has numerous camping and picnic areas and is the best place for a weekend camping trip or any event. This natural reservation offers many opportunities for camping, picnicking, and other recreational activities due to its well-developed infrastructure and beautiful natural environment.
Manito Park and Botanical Gardens
Manito Park and Botanical Gardens is a verdant ninety-acre park home to several splendid gardens and stunning landscapes. This park is in Spokane's South Hill and is considered a garden lover's paradise or simply for people looking for a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Duncan Garden
Duncan Garden is one of the well-known venues in Manito Park. It is a formal garden of the European style characterized by an exact repetition of plantages, trimmed lawns, and a water basin in the Center. When in bloom, the garden is bright with colorful flowers, giving visitors a colorful view and peacefulness.
Rose Hill
Rose Hill is another place one cannot afford to miss when in Manito Park. Over 150 varieties of roses are grown in this garden, making the environment sweet and aesthetically appealing. Tourists can view roses in their full glory and their varieties in the garden.
Japanese Garden
The Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden is a quiet place that hints at Japanese garden design. This calming place has water basins for koi fish, stone lamps, and trimmed trees and bushes. The Japanese Garden is best for meditation since it has a relaxing environment.
Gaiser Conservatory
The Gaiser Conservatory grows a collection of exotic plants and flowers worldwide. An indoor garden such as this one is a paradisiacal milieu that allows people to touch the tropics any time of the year. During the winter, it is mainly in demand, as people prefer to go there to take a warm and colorful rest from the frost.
Spokane boasts phenomenal natural views, countless historical sites and attractions, and a healthy dose of modern arts and recreational activities.
So, start packing, and let me guide you to the things you cannot miss while in Spokane, a city that offers fun, fun, and more fun for anyone who visits!

2: Spare Parts
art by @exorbitantsqueakingnoises
it seems like you end up stuck next to the same unsettling doll maker every year you attend the sheralothian festival of the arts. if you didn't know any better—if you didn't know him so well—you might assume it was just coincidence.
original work. suggestive but not explicit; contains extremely ambiguous consent, implied/briefly mentioned gore, dollification, fantasy plague.
.
.
.
It’s no easy feat to reach Laurel Grove from the capital. The road is rough and pitted, hateful to wagon wheels. It twists through the mountains and descends into the treacherous fog of the Mistwalk Valley. Bandits, emboldened by newly thawed trade negotiations and a glut of incautious, overencumbered merchants, stalk the spaces between the trees. From caravan to campsite, a flock of apprentices have zealously guarded your crates of precious cargo. You’re tired, all of you, eager for beds, blankets and a proper meal, but also restless with anticipation. At the Sheralothian Festival of the Arts, you’ll make more money for your workshop in a few days than you will for the rest of the year, attracting new patrons and securing new contracts.
The first of your apprentices to spot the sparkle of magic hollers in unabashed delight. The tapestry is a seamless weave of physical and metaphysical components, a shimmery material that blooms with sweet-smelling flowers in the daylight and sparkles luminescent beneath the moon. These adornments wrap around the trunks of trees and dangle from the canopy in thin ribbons, forming a path that guides you across bridges formed of mossy, gargantuan tree trunks and through leaf-canopy shaded streets. Laurel Grove, the Evergreen City, gradually unfolds all around you, not carved into the forest but melding with it.
One of your apprentices rushes off to secure a room at Fiora Falls, an inn tucked behind a waterfall. Another finds boarding for the horses. The rest follow you to the meadow fairgrounds where a ring of tents, stalls and tables has sprung up in a wide circle. You are late arrivals, having traveled further than most. Your fellow artists and craftsmen are happy to see you, exchanging embraces and well-wishes. A space has been saved for you not far from the meadow’s entrance. The apprentices get the crates open, setting up shelves, tables and a canopy. The display on your left belongs to Veta, a woodcarver from the south. She has amber eyes and thickly muscled arms littered with old scars. She waves when she sees you. On your right—
“There, there, darling. Don’t be nervous.”
You freeze. All of your joy and excitement withers and dies because on your right is Medraut.
You consider leaving. You shouldn’t. Can’t, really. But the thought occurs to you. Packing up, turning around, and making the long journey home without a single sale. You take a deep breath and let it out slowly. No. He won’t ruin this for you. You focus on helping the apprentices, unpacking fresh flowers, minerals and round jars packed full of colorful dust. Your pigments are the finest in Sheralothia. They’re on temple ceilings and canvases hung in palace halls, staining the palettes of the world’s most renowned painters.
Greta, one of the newer apprentices, glances around in awe at the works of leatherworkers, glassblowers and luthiers from distant lands. Inevitably, her gaze is drawn to Medraut and his eclectic display: heavy tomes. Bows and ribbons. Syringes. Small bowls of cosmetic pigments. Cloudy vials of condensed magic in both smooth liquid and thick ichor. Sewing kits. Everything is arranged around a life-size doll at the front and center, sitting stiffly upright with stocking-clad legs dangling off the edge of the table. It’s undeniably beautiful. Dressed in an asymmetric frilly ensemble, its dainty hands are folded one over the other in its lap, nails neatly trimmed and painted. It has a listless expression, lips pursed and painted orchid purple, neither smiling nor frowning. Glassy lavender eyes are accentuated by long lashes and dabs of glittering blush on the cheeks, half-lidded gaze staring at nothing in particular.
“Hush now,” Medraut murmurs. He tucks a stray lock of hair back into place, looping it behind the shell of the doll’s ear. He caresses its face with the back of his hand in slow, soft strokes, the way one touches a lover. “Yes, I know. You dislike the spotlight. But you’re perfect.”
“Greta,” you say sternly. She flinches, scurrying back to your side with a sheepish expression. “Guests will be arriving at any moment and we’re not finished setting up. Let’s not get distracted just yet.”
“Of course!” she stammers. You offer a smile to reassure her when she rejoins the other apprentices, sifting through pigments and materials to find the most eye-catching objects worthy of display. She’s soon drawn into a gossip huddle with the others, voices lowered, nervous glances thrown around. You don’t stop them. Better she hears it now, however twisted by hearsay and urban legend, than later. You try to focus on preparing for the start of the festival but you keep stealing glimpses at the neighboring tables.
Medraut is deceptively delicate-looking, willowy with bony fingers and slender wrists. He’s cut his hair since the last time you saw him. Shoulder-length now, no longer spilling halfway down his back. He still favors the lavish fashions of the nobility; white silk, billowing sleeves, an obsidian brooch affixed to a lace jabot. Everything he does is graceful and deliberate, from the simple act of movement to the precise way he handles the goods arranged in front of him. He keeps returning to the doll, fussing over it, smoothing out creases in its clothing and refluffing drooping bows. Each time, his hand lingers. A squeeze of the shoulder. A stroke of the hair. A slow slide of the palm against the hollow of the throat, unabashed lust in his eyes.
Not unlike the doll, there is an uncanny, ageless quality to his features, a lack of anything that could easily identify him as young or old. That’s just how it is with mages. He could be thirty or three hundred. There’s no way to tell just by looking. You hear the apprentices discussing it. Trading rumors and throwing out guesses. His portrait hangs in the Hall of Gratitude in Twillisp Castle, his smile forever enshrined along with the other advisors King Kirgar maintained during his reign several centuries ago.
“You’re pulling my leg!” Greta hisses. “He can’t be that old!”
The others insist, “He might be even older.”
“He’s from Ithyr, you know. Some of the oldest mages in the world live there.”
“Lived, anyway.”
“Oh,” Greta says, her eyes wide. “Ithyr? To the west? Isn’t that where…”
“Yes. I think that’s why he’s…like that.”
You share a table. Tall, long and draped with black cloth, this flimsy barrier is all that stands between the two of you. Medraut has already placed a few odds and ends on the side closest to him. Combs and hairbrushes. Perfume bottles. An assortment of scalpels in different sizes, spread out on a velvet cloth. You gather a few of the larger, more inelegant minerals you haven’t had the chance to cut and grind into fine powder, lining them up down the center of the table. You try to do this quietly but Medraut turns the moment you place the first stone. He approaches the table, his smile widening.
“Medraut,” you greet him curtly.
“My dear friend,” he says, the same sensual murmur he spoke into the doll’s ear rolling off his tongue. The slow, undisguised wandering of his gaze up and down your body makes you uneasy. His eyes are stark silver in pools of black sclera like twin moons, the pupils somewhat misshapen; common in survivors of arcanapox. “It seems I have the pleasure of your company again this year.”
You hum in acknowledgement. “I wonder how that keeps happening.”
He tilts his head, glancing at something behind you. You step to the side to block his line of sight and he chuckles softly. “Hm. Bloodshot eyes. Unsteady gait. Shaky hands. You work your poor apprentices hard but you work yourself hardest of all. Would you like to sit down? I brought a chair.”
You place the last stone more heavily than you need to, slamming it down at the end of the table. “You don’t cross this line,” you tell him. “You stay on your side and I stay on mine.”
“Now, now. There’s no need for all that. But if it will put your mind at ease…” He shrugs, leaning against his half of the table with his arms crossed in front of his chest. “Really, do you think so poorly of me? Your apprentices are precious, but I’d never steal one away. No matter how lovely they’d look in something other than those dreary robes and aprons you’re all so fond of.”
“I’m glad to hear that,” you say, utterly unconvinced.
The slow trickle of the festival’s first guests thankfully diverts his attention. Medraut’s display draws in many curious onlookers and he’s all too happy to explain the history of Ithyrian dollmaking. He comes out from behind the table to stand beside the doll, demonstrating its posable limbs with gentle, coaxing touches. You shouldn’t watch. You have plenty to do. But you keep looking. Keep glancing over and finding him increasingly shameless. Running his hands through the doll’s hair. Stroking its arm. Kneeling once to tighten the laces of its boots and sliding his palm up and down the curve of one long, ball-jointed leg. Up and down. Up and down. Slipping beneath the fluttering edge of its skirt…
You get a few potential customers, too, excitedly chattering patrons of the arts looking for fresh new pigments to supply their preferred painters. A few recognize you from previous years. One particularly discerning man asks if a particular jar of dark dust is used in the creation of “mourning blue,” a rich color becoming increasingly popular in the frescoes of the capital. You’re still not accustomed to being recognized like this, approached with awe and praise. Your whole world is the workshop, turning rocks and plants into colors worthy of royal portraits.
One of your apprentices demonstrates a technique with mortar and pestle, dropping a fistful of flower petals into the bowl. The others stand towards the back and whisper amongst themselves, furtive glances aimed at Medraut.
“How bad was it?”
“Oh, it was dreadful. Haven’t you seen The Death of the Deathless?”
“Gods, that awful thing? I couldn’t bear to look at it!”
“Shhh!”
Silence. You can feel them staring at your back for a moment before the whispers start again, even quieter now.
“It’s true. Our teacher was there when it happened. They apprenticed in Ithyr.”
“They were there? How did they survive?”
“Arcanapox only kills mages. Still, it makes us pretty sick, too. That’s why they have that tremor in their hands."
“Of all things, they painted that?”
“When you see something so awful, you make sense of it however you can.”
“Eyes like hot wax. Eugh.”
“But that was a long time ago, wasn’t it?”
“Mages don’t handle death well. It’s too strange to them.”
“So that’s why…?”
“Yes, to help them grieve.”
“No, that’s just how it started. What they do now, it’s…well, it’s certainly not the same.”
A finely dressed man in a striped, high-collared doublet approaches Medraut’s table with a broad smile. They know each other. Medraut’s face lights up and they greet each other with half-bows, left hands flicking to the side as though to cast a minor spell; a mage greeting. They speak in hushed but excited tones and you should not be eavesdropping, should not care what they have to say to each other. You rearrange the pigments, sorting them alphabetically. You can’t help yourself. You glance over at them again.
The doll is staring at you.
You nearly drop the jar you’re holding, fumbling with the lid. It hasn’t moved at all except for its head, turned towards you. You swallow nervously, bending to pick up the lid of the jar. The doll’s eyes lower, then follow you back up when you stand. You look away, heart pounding.
“How long did it take?” you hear the man ask, sounding awed.
Medraut laughs softly. “Quite some time, but I enjoy the process. This one especially.”
You look at the dirt beneath your feet. The dangling tablecloth. The line of stones. Medraut’s beautiful hand sliding beneath the doll’s arm. Cupping its elbow. Stroking its wrist with his thumb. Sliding their palms together, lacing his fingers with its stiff ones. His face is flushed and his smile is the sort born of fevered delirium, a man dreaming of something impossibly sweet.
“He’s stunning. Simply breathtaking. And the eyes…”
“A fresh set,” Medraut assures him. “I used the portrait you left with me for reference. A perfect match, isn’t it?”
“Yes. This is everything we wanted and more, Medraut. I can’t thank you enough.” The other man grasps the doll’s hand and brings it to his lips, kissing each finger reverently. “Everything is as it always should have been.”
“As it will forever be,” Medraut says, quiet and solemn. For a moment, neither of them speak. They bow their heads, eyes shut tightly as though willing away an unpleasant memory. Medraut snaps out of it first. He clears his throat, his smile returning. “Let me bring you the case.”
‘The case’ is a large, wheeled box with a handle at the top. The exterior is polished leather, while the inside is ruched white velvet. Like a display case, you think. Like a bed. Like a coffin. Medraut picks up the doll like it weighs nothing and carefully sets it inside, arranging it on its side in a fetal curl. Stray ribbons and folds of fabric are tucked in. One last kiss is pressed to its forehead. The case closes, zipped and latched and locked shut with a key Medraut passes to the man. You can’t look away as he leaves, watching the case rattle through the dirt and grass and far away, vanishing beyond the meadow. You think about it all day. You’ll probably have nightmares about it.
Sunset signals the end of the festival’s first day. You’re exhausted, eager to get off your feet. When did you eat last? You dismissed the apprentices for lunch in turns and they offered to bring you something. Offered, but you said no. Too frazzled by all the people to eat, all the talking you had to do. A sudden wave of dizziness sends you stumbling, careening right into your own display.
Strong, beautiful hands catch you. You are held against silk ruffles. A warm chest. A quickening heartbeat. Medraut lowers you gently to the ground, cradling your head in his lap. The world is blurry but you can tell he isn’t smiling anymore. He wipes the sweat from your brow.
“Teacher!” You hear Greta and the others, your apprentices frantic and wailing. Medraut keeps them at a distance, barks at them not to crowd around you. You rarely hear him so sharp-tongued and terse. He tells them where to find a healer, sends them off for food and water. You breathe shakily, feeling worse than you realized. Medraut shushes you, his thumb catching a tear at the corner of your eye.
“My dear friend,” he whispers.
“Put me down.” You try to squirm away from him but you don’t get far. Medraut turns you over, burying your face against his shirt. “Medraut, I’m serious.”
“You need me,” he says. His voice quivers slightly. “You need me, and you long to be cared for. Treated like a precious, delicate thing. Here I am, my dearest one. Let me take care of you for just a moment.” He rubs your back, pressing his fingertips into muscles you didn’t realize were sore. You don’t mean to relax against him. You want to fight, to push him away, but he hums an old song you haven’t heard in decades and you remember damp summer evenings in Ithyr. The hiss of the ocean and the caw of seabirds. The chalky scent of magic pigment, the way it fizzled on your fingers. Stargazing on your back in a field, your hand joined with another. How you looked at the sky but he only looked at you, spellbound.
“Do they still hurt?” you ask him.
“My eyes?” he says. You nod weakly. “No, dear. Not for a long time.” He strokes your head, gentle, sliding pets that make you feel like young and impulsive again. “I wish you would come to Ithyr again. Stay this time. Do you remember that seat in the bay window? You would sit there for hours with your canvas, watching the tide come and go. You would sit there, so very still.” You shake your head and it’s a lie. Denial and avoidance. Of course you remember. “I want to see you there again,” Medraut whispers, stroking along your spine. “In the sunrise. In the moonlight. As you always should have been, forever.”
That’s how they find you when the apprentices return, still in Medraut’s embrace. Curled up like a sick child crying for relief, wrinkling his shirt with your grasping hands. Only when the healer comes do you manage to pull yourself away. Medraut lets go of you slowly, one finger at a time. You assure him repeatedly you’ll be fine, you’ll be fine, you’ll be fine. You see him helping your apprentices pack up the pigments, their looks of wary acceptance, leaving his own section abandoned. There is a large box underneath one of his tables. A leather case, shut tight but unlatched. Empty, then. No doll inside. His personal mage seal is stamped on the side.
It’s the same one he brings every time, year after year. Empty, save for desperate dreams and wishes that this time will be different than all the others. That you will finally say yes.
#rotpeach writes#goretober#original#i got a ton of asks today!! will try to get to a few tonight and the rest as soon as im able. thank you for your patience! ;v;#still gotta go back and look at growing shadows now that i actually slept and hopefully make this the year i also post everything to ao3

Justice for Stardewies
Because people need jobs and purpose...
Jodi
has been a single mom for so long, even though Kent returns in Year 2. She was a Registered Nurse, and replaces Maru at the clinic when Maru decides to go back to school. Jodi starts to feel her confidence grow as she works outside her home. And Harvey is a good boss, letting her work around Vincent's school schedule.
Maru
Inspired by Harvey, Maru wants to pursue and advanced degree in medical technology. With her poor eyesight, her dreams of becoming an astronaut faded. But she still gets to tinker and play with technology, which is something she loves.
Marnie / Marlon
deserves better than a "secret" relationship with Lewis. His family has wealth and historically held positions of power. The Governor is his cousin after all. Still Marnie deserves real "out in the open" love. Marlon asks her out one day after she visits the Adventurer's Guild with the weekly dairy delivery. Their first official date is the Flower Dance. And they dance together for the whole town to see. Lewis is jealous but... he had his chance. #sorrynotsorry
Shane
is sober and working at the movie theater during the evenings. He attends vet school during the day. Shane wants to open an animal clinic, with an emphasis on chickens... 🐔 er... farm animals. And he makes his famous pepper poppers for all town events.
Pam
Pam went to rehab. She is now reemployed at Pierre's. She really enjoys helping customers find what they are looking for, and she joined Caroline's class to get fit. She has already dropped almost 20lbs.
Robin
Robin does so much for the town. She is convinced by the people to run against Lewis. And then she actually wins. Since she finally has help from Alex, Robin's business is booming. She is able to hire on another employee so she can focus on her new important duties as Mayor of Pelican Town.
Linus
Is anyone surprised he actually has money? And lots of it? Linus gets involved with other veterans like himself with much encouragement from Gus. Now with properly flowing taxpayers' dollars, Linus is able to build a tiny Veterans Village for former military men and women to "get off grid," find healing, and a fresh start. Kent gets involved too after he starts counseling for his PTSD.
Alex
Robin hired Alex as a handyman. Alex is surprisingly good with his hands and figuring things out, especially electrical. With no formal training, he can rewire televisions and stereos. At first, he just tinkers in Robin's workshop. But then he starts doing bigger projects. After getting an electricians license, Alex helps wire houses and rewire faulty electrical in other homes and businesses around the Valley. It's blue collar work but it pays really well, and his skills are sorely needed. And he can work as he wants. So he still has plenty of time to toss the gridball around with friends, and take Dusty to the dog park, and even help Granny in the kitchen.
Evelyn / George
Ev still helps out at the community garden. She starts growing spices and herbs to bake in her breads and cookies. Once the Community Center is repaired, Evelyn hosts a bake sale to help with the upkeep. And Haley joins her in organizing a cake walk. George gets motivated, with encouragement from Jodi (since she is a vet's wife), to do the Valley's own version of Special Olympics. Alex helps his grandpa train.
Abigail
finally graduates after six years. She knows what she wants. She is going to pursue a master's in folklore and mythology. While it isn't business like her dad wanted, Pierre is still proud of his little girl. Abi leaves for Zuzu City (on the repaired bus line). She also has an internship lined up, translating manuscripts (since she learned ancient Dwarven).
Sebastian
takes coding to the next level. He finds a partner in Zuzu. They start a tech company together. Seb still comes home on weekends to spend time with his family (he and Demetrius patched things up ever since his stepdad got his official diagnosis as autistic). Seb always brings rice pudding for Demetrius, from the Asian Market he lives above. Seb is also working on releasing his first video game, inspired by his experiences in the mines.
Sam
After the band breaks up, Sam decides to go solo. He leaves for Zuzu City for some gigs. The first weekend he is there, he makes a connection with a talent scout who thinks Sam is really good. Sam starts landing bigger and bigger shows. Next thing he knows, he's traveling the world, opening for big name bands. It is a dream come true. He never stays in one place too long, but that's just what he loves about his "work."
Elliott
publishes his romance novel. And then his editor suggests a series. It is super successful. With his new steady income, Elliott upgrades his cabin to a proper beach cottage. He teams up with Penny to write a children's book.
Penny / the children
returns to school and obtains a proper teaching license. With help from Robin, she opens an after school enrichment program for Vincent, Jas, Leo, and a few other children. And she partners with Professor Snail to offer summer camps on Ginger Island. Penny also organizes a beach clean-up day.
Vincent starts an entomology club with the Prof, much to his delight.
Jas works with Emily to create costumes for a play. The story of the Winter Star is the first show they put on for the town. And this seriously helps Jas' confidence.
Leo repairs the treehouse with the help of Alex. And Pam, who attended cosmetology school, gives him a proper "big kid" haircut.

You take Stardew Valley requests now?!
Also—you do Morris too?
Hmm. Without immediately getting on the hate train, could I please request a Farmer!Reader getting sick of Morris pestering them to buy a Joja membership? Their reaction to this is to issue the store manager a challengesince they doubt he’s actually done anything usual for the “company”. Reader worked at Jojacorp previously, they know how cushy manager jobs are. Farmer!Reader states they buy a membership if and only if Morris tries to get through one of their typical work schedules for a day.
Really. Other stores have to be scouted, land cleared, and then built. So it shouldn’t be too far fetched for him to have some experience on the physical of working for the company, right?
Or something like that.
Ohhh I like this one 👀
A little love for Morris for ya'll
.....
"Hello. How are you?"
"Good, thanks. And you?"
"I'm good. Did you find everything okay?"
"Yep. The other place was closed and I needed these seeds for my greenhouse before the season's up-"
"You know you could get them for far cheaper and more by purchasing our Joja membership! It's never too late~"
'Why did I say anything...' Already annoyed, you looked over your shoulder to see Morris, the JojaMart manager, standing at the customer service booth. He had a far-too-cheery smiling spreading from ear to ear, making him look more unnerving than friendly.
After seeing that stunt he pulled at Pierre's yesterday, you knew he wasn't ashamed about boasting his business and trying to push you over to his side.
You rolled your eyes and looked back at the redheaded cashier, handing her the gold and putting the seed packets in your backpack. Now you could say with confidence that you've gotten everything you needed to finish some bundles for the community center.
Wishing her a goodnight, you began heading towards the door--only to see Morris now standing there, once again insisting you buy a membership.
Apparently, ignoring him wasn't the solution this time.
"I mean no disrespect, sir..but the answer's no. I moved here to escape Joja, not get dragged back into it."
"Ah but everything leads back to Joja eventually, dear farmer." He chuckled. "You'll come around, I'm sure. Now you have a goodnight."
"You, too." Grumbling, you practically shoved past him and stormed back home, hopping into the nearest minecart as your shortcut.
Fortunately you had some time to plant the seeds in the greenhouse, knowing your sprinklers will take good care of them from here on out. And then you headed straight to bed, your pet curled up beside you as you dozed off.
........
It was a little past 6AM..and you were already done with today.
You were just 101% done.
That was all because of Morris.
Only now you realized how stubborn that corporate suck-up was...as in the mail he left you an envelope containing Joja coupons and a letter, once again pleading his case.
First he barges into another man's small business and presents a big sale to drive customers away...and now he's trying to bribe you with coupons, knowing damn well how rich your farm is becoming. He was just after your money and nothing more.
You were very close to chucking the letter into the furnace.
Then something dawned upon you..
He's always insisting that his store's products would make your farm work "easier", but what did he really know about the work you do? All that hard labor and hours toiling in the sun to get your grandpa's farm in better shape than it ever was?
You were no stranger to the cushy jobs your managers at Joja Corp had. They only had to do taxes, nag about meeting quota, and barely lifted a finger, lounging in a luxury office while you were cramped in a cubicle, mindlessly typing away on some old computer.
That was the only life Morris probably ever knew.
He didn't pour any blood, sweat, or tears into constructing JojaMart...or did he?
Then again, he liked to tout about building it all "from the ground up", and you wondered if he meant that literally.
That gave you an idea.
You were planning a trip to Skull Caverns today, but now you had something different in mind. Those serpents, mummies, and prismatic shards could wait.
So after checking everything on your farm, you headed to JojaMart right away. Not to buy goods this time, but to talk to Morris about your proposition.
The villagers in town were wondering why you were smiling, yet otherwise said good morning and continued about their day.
.............
As Morris was approaching the store, he was surprised to see you standing in front of the entrance. "Why hello, farmer." He chuckled, twirling the keys around his finger. "I see you've changed your mind? You must really want that membership-"
"Yeah, about that.." You huffed, backpack slung over your shoulder. "I wanna make a deal with you."
"..really, now? I thought you weren't into "business"." He pouted, but after seeing your stare, he sighed. "Fine. Out with it. I do have to open the store in five minutes."
"It'll only take one minute. I'll get the membership-"
His grin returned.
"--if, and only if, you come to my farm for a day and try to get through one of my work schedules."
Immediately it faltered as he gawked loudly, looking as though you tried to gift him trash. His glasses became askew as he physically recoiled, but he tried fixing them, sputtering out nonsense.
You titled your head, smirking. "What's wrong?"
"I--erm..i-is that all?" He managed to compose himself, trying to stay professional. "I mean..it's....how hard could it possibly be? That's why I was stunned. Because it seems..too simple."
"....I thought you were gonna say no-"
"No? Hah! I could never pass up a challenge, dear farmer. If that's all it takes to get you into our membership club and out of Pierre's rundown shack of a store..then why not?"
"Oh good. It shouldn't be that hard for someone like you who built this store "from the ground up"." You reminded him, noticing the subtle change in his expression. He was still smiling, yet he looked nervous. "You must be familiar with toiling for hours in the sun, scouting, clearing land of trees and boulders to make way for the foundation...."
As you went on and on, Morris kept nodding his head. But in the back of his mind, he was panicking.
He never got a spec of dirt on any clothes he wore, nor did he partake in any hard labor, having left that to his construction crew. He only ever managed the finances of the store--none of the physical aspects of running one.
That being said...he couldn't just let go of the 0.1% chance that you'll give into a membership. Not when you're coming to him at this hour with such a deal.
Whatever will give him an edge over Pierre, he'll take it.
"...oh, and there's one tiny string attached."
"Of course.." He chuffed, fixing his bowtie. "What is it?"
"You and your workers aren't allowed to touch the Community Center even if I buy that membership."
Once more, he gawked. "Huh?! But..but...with that extra 5,000 gold, we'll have more than enough to fund-!"
Your stare silenced him, and as frustrated as he was....he finally relented. "Fine. Fine. I'll call someone else to run customer service in my steed. As long as you hold up your end of the bargain."
"Don't worry. I won't leave you high and dry." You smiled, patting his shoulder and ignoring the way he cringed and hastily brushed the dirt off his suit when you moved away. "Come by my farm after work and I'll give you the rundown. Tomorrow morning you start."
"Will do. But until then...care to come in and shop?" He chuckled, unlocking the door.
Yet when he turned back around, you were already gone, and his shoulders sagged with defeat.
'That farmer is a strange one, but I'll get them that membership yet.'
....
"--and finally, between 11PM and 2AM, check the slime hutch and makes sure the troughs are full of water and sell off any petrified slime they may produce."
"..sounds disgusting."
"You want me to buy that membership or not, Morris?" Glaring at the Joja manager, you saw the way he flinched and looked at you with panic. "Because I can just-"
"No, no! It's fine..I agree with all of these..terms and conditions." He looked over the book of instructions you lent him, containing a log of one of your daily work schedules.
By the time you finished writing down the tasks, he arrived on your farm in the late evening in a pair of jeans and a white shirt (with the Joja logo, of course). So at least you knew he was taking this seriously.
Although you're sure he's only trying to convince you that he can do this, and you had some doubts. Even Sam and Shane were taking bets after learning where their manager was gonna be tomorrow, with Sam thinking he'll lose it at the slimes, and Shane betting he won't last an hour on your farm.
Time will tell if either of them win.
"Good, and there's just one more thing....don't mind the Cursed Mannequin."
He did a double take. "I'm sorry, the what now?"
"Oh nothing. I just have a perfectly normal mannequin in the house." You smirked. "Just don't touch it or look at it for too long. Anyways, I got an extra bed set up for you. Don't come looking for me in the morning because I'll be camping out at Calico Desert all day."
Digging a desert warp totem out of your bag, you looked at Morris one more time. "I got a few hours to set up camp, then I'll be down in the skull caverns."
"It's reassuring to know that's not part of this work schedule.." He muttered. "How much did you pay for the-?"
"I made it myself. Get yourself acquainted with the area and rest up. Tomorrow your challenge starts."
His eyebrows furrowed a little, as he wasn't a fan of you bossing him around like this. But then again this was your "business", technically, and he was only playing the role of employee for a day...
He only had to get through one day, and then you'll have no choice but to agree and get the Joja membership!
"Wait, but what if-?"
"You'll be fine, Morris. Try not to burn my farm down." With a wink, you activated the totem and disappeared in a bright flash of light, which made him quickly shield his eyes, wincing.
Suddenly he was all alone in the cabin, and his gaze eventually wandered to the single mannequin positioned by your wardrobe. It was wearing one of your festival outfits...
And, for a split second, Morris swore it was blinking at him.
But he just shook it off as his imagination, deciding to go outside and check over everything like you told him to.
'Okay, maybe this won't be so bad after all...I can do this. For Joja.'
.........
"Thanks, Pam!"
"Oh anytime, hun." The blonde driver chuckled as you were let off at the bus stop in Pelican Town, happy to be back after a long day at the Skull Caverns.
Least to say, it was a super lucky day for you...aside from the occasional swarm of serpents that had you running, ducking, and swinging your weapon like crazy. But you didn't pass out this time, thank Yoba.
You got a few things to donate to the museum, geodes to crack open, and gifts to give to your friends, but the most important thing right now was seeing how your farm was in Morris' hands.
Hopefully nothing burned down.
But part of you realized that if he was okay, that meant buying a Joja membership and having to succumb to the corporation you tried to get away from.
Oh well, you proposed that deal in the first place. It would be cruel not to uphold your end of it.
As you walked onto your farmland, you took a good look around, seeing that your crops were properly watered and the animals were out of the coop and barn, happily grazing in the fenced area. They seemed highly content.
'Well I'll be damned. He did it. I guess it wasn't so bad for him after all.'
Smiling, you headed inside the cabin to organize your backpack-
Only to find Morris passed out on the floor of your kitchen, his face sweaty and clothes covered in dirt and slime residue; not to mention several scratch marks on his skin, more notably his hands.
'Okay, maybe I spoke too soon.'
"Morris?" You got your watering can ready in case you had to wake him up-
Then he abruptly snapped his eyes open, sitting up with a gasp, scrambling to his feet the moment he saw you. He looked extremely strung out and..almost traumatized, even.
"Farmer, you...! Y-You...you didn't....!!"
"Hey, hey. Calm down, Morris." Setting the watering can on the table, you put your hands up. "You're okay. Everything looks good out there-"
"You didn't tell me you had beasts living on this farm! Oh god, I'm a mess. Don't look at me anymore!" With teary eyes, he rushed to the kitchen sink to wash his hands, nearly scrubbing them raw as he tried calming himself down. "Those Slimes were so vicious, they kept swarming me and one stole my glasses! A-And the animals...why didn't you say there were dinosaurs in the coop?!"
"I did put that down, but you must've thrown away the paper I gave you. I told you to look it over carefully."
"And I told you to get an Auto-Petter!" He huffed. "I would've offered it to you at a discount had I known you had so many animals! But noooo...you'd rather risk getting your fingers bitten off, I guess!"
"Oh come on. They're sweet little things who crave real human affection-"
"To you, who raised them, they might be!" Turning around, he could see your small smile, and he frowned in return. "You know what the worst part about all of this was?"
"I'm eager to know." You sat down at the table, your pet coming to sit beside you on the floor.
"...Pierre. He came by to sell you some ridiculous recipe, but instead saw me down on my knees, trying to tear some stupid fruit out of the ground! And he LAUGHED and called me your "new farmboy"!! You have any idea how humiliating that was?!!" His face was turning red.
"I can imagine...what was the recipe?"
"Wh..nevermind that! I represent all of Joja in this town, and if anyone finds out through my rival that I'm....!! I'm....!" As he looked at you and saw your expression, he felt defeated, his anger replaced with tiredness.
"...sorry. I told myself I wasn't going to lose my head." He rubbed his temples, groaning. "And here I am, doing just that. I..I don't know how you do it everyday, [y/n]. All of this work. I'm definitely not in the best shape for it."
"Believe me, I used to think the same thing." You chuckled, glad to see the haughty manager becoming so humble. "You remember our deal?"
Morris perked up. "Yes. You were..serious about that, correct?" His eyes narrowed. "Because if you made me go through all of this just to embarrass me-"
"Relax. You're gonna have a new member of your little club very soon." Sighing, you took out an envelope containing 5,000 gold that you've reserved for this. "Really didn't think you'd last long enough to win...but you did it."
He looked at you like a fish out of water, utterly speechless. But he quickly regained his composure and laughed, standing upright. "Hah! One score for me, none for Pierre! Shall we get you set up right away into our rewards program-?"
"Get cleaned up first, and then we'll talk about that."
"......fine, "boss"." His shoulders slumped as he pouted, heading back into the spare bedroom to wash up and put his black suit, slacks, and bowtie back on.
While waiting, you sighed and looked down at your pet. "That son of a bitch really did it, Miso."
"........"
"Yeah, I should've known better. But it was nice being the manager of him for once."

The Elegant and Most Olde House of Hartridge
tl;dr —> what it says on the tin lol. also not sure if i mention in other posts, but this reality is an omegaverse reality as well!
A Brief History
Following a series of tragedies, enemy hostility, and lack of suitable living space, the First Lord and Lady of Hartridge, along with the rest of their main branch family, emigrated from their ancestral home in a small country within Africa, per Mother Magic’s blessing, and settled in Britain in the early 400s.
They settled and integrated into the small magical community, thriving as they created the first Unplottable wards and magical communities as anti-magic sentiment started to brew amongst the Muggle population. These regions are known as Mullabyaly Highlands, Cobalt Bay, and Silver Oak Valley.
As a result, they were Attributed by Mother Magic and gained the title of Elegant and Moste Olde House after pouring their blood & magic into the Hartridge Ancestral Ward stones. Mother Magic also gifted the House and its’ generations Artistic-related Gifts.
Following the series of witch-hunts and discrimination against wix folk in the mid-1000s, they helped the other Oligarchy Houses, Merlin, Morgana, and Arthur establish Avalon and Hogwarts after Mother Magic Created it.
House Hartridge had also built the first higher educational institution for adult wix around this time, named Nafina Institute of Magick, and it is an internationally well-respected and renowned University.
Members of the Hartridge House are mostly renowned throughout history for being the first Wix to develop sociocultural norms pre-, during, and post-Avalon. After they were Attributed and Gifted by Mother Magic, they were also internationally renowned and respected for their Artistic Gifts—such as music, literature, theatre, dance/ballet, and other things under the arts.
in 1317, the third daughter of a secondary branch of the family (High Lady Nerissa Hartridge, daughter of Marchionesses Maia Hartridge & Delphina Hartridge née Malfoy) opened up the Rose Opera House and employed the novel group of dancers, opera singers, and so on of the First Company Troupe. It was an exclusive opera house for the elite of Avalon, though as of the 1800s (specifically, 1811), highly regarded Muggle-borns and New Bloods were allowed to enter/be invited to the premises. Guests are only invited to shows via the Board or members of the First Company Troupe (e.g., dancers, singers, and so on who are contracted with the Rose Opera House). Tickets only go on sale during the first week of spring the year before the shows, and are ostensibly expensive.
Other Opera Houses owned by House Hartridge include Nightingale Hall, Golden Cinema, and Emerald Amphitheatre. However, Nightingale Hall has turned into a center for social/season events as of 1878.
As for other craft-wise, maidens and wix from Hartridge are renowned for their lace crafting and spinning arts.
It is commonplace and traditional in House Hartridge for courtship offers to be lace spun and entwined with the maidens’ magic.
In 1205, High Omega Mira Hartridge (fourth daughter of Marigold Hartridge née Potter & Erasmus Hartridge) crafted the first *Felmio Flute,* a crafted masterpiece that sounds like the beauty of still waters and the sea. She had then further improved and introduced a variety of magical instruments along with instrumental songs meant to invoke emotion, all entwined with magic.
Another member in the 900s, High Wix Haven Hartridge (child of Archduchess Coventina Hartridge & Archduke Perseus Hartridge née Peverell) developed moving paintings and portraits, the first magical camera, and other items deemed socially and culturally progressive during that era.
All Purebloods and New Bloods, and Muggle-borns, look to members of House Hartridge in matters of etiquette and culture. A member of a branch house, High Lady Nahla (second daughter of Serena Hartridge & Valentine Hartridge née Hufflepuff) published the original Camelot Pamphlet in 908, instead of Lady Claire (a Lady of House Selwyn, who added more addendums in the 1200s), which addressed and dictated those sociocultural norms and expectations of the etiquette of every wixen station in Avalon.
As for their secret motto of *Never Forgive & Never Forget,* the House of Hartridge are fierce and feared when slighted. They have rarely, if ever, ended a Blood Fued, officially or otherwise, save for when House Yaxley became a Vassal House of theirs.
Due to the Family Motto of Unity Brings Strength, the House is always presented as a united front on all matters in the public sphere, regardless of their personal opinion on the matter.
ANOTHER secret motto is *Be as Powerful & Deadly Like An Ocean Vexed.*
For the most part, the House tends to be a close-knit (though still healthy and loving) family unit as most, if not all, members take unity and family seriously.
Colloquially, the House of Hartridge is regarded as the Hearth of Avalon.
In terms of political matters, the House of Hartridge is strictly Neutral. Most family members tend to have Neutral or Dark Magical Cores, due to having Syren blood in their ancestry, but there are some members with Light Magical Cores here and there. As for Hogwarts Houses, most members tend to be Sorted into any House, but mostly Ravenclaw, with some exceptions here and there.
Regarding Estate Matters, the House of Hartridge has the largest Acromantula silk and ( only) Melmu silk* production within Mullabyaly Highlands, specifically in the Ethereal Depths.
*Melmu silk is a strictly Family Only Secret via their Syren ancestors (willingly given Syren hair from a pureblood Syren maiden, woven under a clear full moon). House Hartridge is the only family to have rights to Melmu silk, in/out of Avalon and Magical Europe.
The Sapphire Grotto speaks to the Mer and Syren colonies, as well as the ethical production of pearls and pearl-related jewelry.
The Sleeping Rivers is a nature preserve for nymphs, naiad, and other water-related Creatures, but there are some who do live within the Grotto. It had been created by Mother Magic during Avalon.
Next post will likely be introducing myself and the family :)! Hope you enjoyed this little snippet of history <3 as always, my inbox is open for any questions/thoughts/discussions, tho it doesn’t have to be dr related!

San Myshuno Meadows Mall
This build is based off of the Eaton Center in Toronto Ontario.
The mall is decorated for Christmas for Christmas gameplay shopping.
All items have been marked for sale. *While play testing I noticed that even with 3 employees it was still rather difficult to get to customers to ring them up as there are 3 retail floors.
The fourth floor is a food court that offers a cafe, 2 resturants, and 6 vendors. Looking online it states that only 4 vendors can be on a lot at a time. * However While play testing I found that only two vendors will allow for hire. Little Ms Sam's has a mod that will add a lot trait to auto hire vendors. If you play with mods this is highly recommended. *If you decide to change the lot type to community market place from eco lifestyle it will auto hire up to 3 vendors. This would be recommended if you are looking to use the lot mostly as a hangout opposed to retail.
The First Floor:
Freezer Bunnies - Childs toy store
Sport Simmers - Outdoor sports store
Simsy - Clothing unisex store for young adults
Bubbly - Bubble tea shop
Photobooth
Public Bathrooms
Second Floor:
Bella's Boutique - High end beauty store (owned by Bella Goth)
Plumbz - Mens modern fashion store
Llama Up - Tech store
Paws & Claws - Pet store
Lounge for breaks from shopping
Photo booth
Public Bathrooms
Third Floor:
LaLa Lamas - Fitness clothing and activity store (owned by Thorns)
Costal Plumbobs - Infant and Toddler items store
Seasons - Holiday nick nack store (How do they stay open?)
Trendz - Home furniture trend store
Public Bathrooms
Photo Booth
Vending Machines
Fourth Floor
Food Court:
American Food Vendor
Mexican Food Vendor
Indian Food Vendor
Vietnamese Food Vendor
Chinese Food Vendor
Japanese Food Vendor
Within the Food Court:
Circles Cafe (located in the top dome)
Sky Shpansa (mini chain from Windenburg)
Cactus (dark moody resturant)
Photo booth
Public Bathrooms
In this save file the lot is owned and operated by the Landgrab Shopping Centers. This is the second location opened (the first one from Del Sol Valley)
This lot was placed in San Myshuno replacing the Art Center on a 30x40 lot at 546 kb - it is on the gallery as Landgrab Shopping mallV4
As I work towards finishing off Willow Creek of my Save file I thought I would give a sneak peak into some of what I am working on. My builds come to me in the moment, this past week it was building a Christmas decorated mall.
Stay tuned for more on my Canadian Save File <3

➥ Modern Verse Trivia
The Night family is split down the middle politically, more as a means to maximize wins and maintain their social status; Half Red Hand (and/or Sanguinarian) sympathetizers, half ordinary traditionalist nightfolk, with a handful outliers.
The widely accepted age for retirement in the nightfolk world is an even 100-years-old, or dependent on location, at which point the standard varies and will include physicals, age verification, etc. in order to recieve benefits or an AARP membership.
Nightfolk do not pay property, city, or state taxes, only federal, sales, inheritance, and county. There are certain additional taxes regarding funerary rites, which they call a death tax, but it's largely used for the maintenance of burial grounds, sanctified grounds, and the charms and barriers surrounding nightfolk population centers.
Since the Nighthouse is on the very edge of Belle Valley, sitting at a sort of crossroads, it's not terribly unlikely that a human or person otherwise unfamiliar with the nightfolk world could find it.
Of the two, Salem's Crossing is much livelier and more dangerous than Belle's Hollow, serving as a home to several high profile criminals such as Loux Garo, Deadeye, the Red Hand terrorist cell Vanguard, and more; Belle's Hollow, however, is absolutely not without its problems.
Incantations are used to assist in casting, but are not themselves what make the cast, itself a catalyst no different than a wand, grimoire, or palmseal. Magic is innate, an extension of the universe through those that possess it - some are just more efficient in making use of it than others.
Black cats are seen as good luck, to contrast directly with the human Catholic belief they're the reverse, so they're a common sight in nightfolk towns - what luck that this is true!
Blackwyrms are by and large seen as dangerous pests in the same way gators and wild boar are - by everyone. Extermination companies and the sorcier class both have special units specific to managing the blackwyrm infestation crisis.
Why is there a blackwyrm infestation crisis? Illegal breeding, egg smuggling, poaching, illegal purchase and sale, some folks releasing them into the Mirewood or sewers, etc.
Fey are the rarest of all nightfolk, followed very closely by hapries and shapeshifters, having been subject to a number of vampire-driven genocides. Survivors were enslaved, forced into experimentation and breeding programs in an effort to create vampires capable of walking in the sun.
There are effectively 0 full-blooded Fey and most shifters are only half.
There is a special kind of sunscreen for vampires that gives temporary resistance to UV light - it lasts for only half an hour depending on how much is applied.
Literally All-Purpose SaltTM was invented by the Augur of South Ocala (yes, that's what he called himself) specifically for the consumption of scarbuncle cheese, but it later became a common household seasoning sold at exactly $1.99 since 1899.
Ramona Shank is still alive, but no one knows this for certain.
One very important rule of the Mirewood: Do NOT follow the lights. There are witchlights dotting the bayou and, should you follow them, you may be swallowed up by rogue brachio, eaten by gas adders or frogmen, killed by poachers, robbed by other criminals, or entirely cursed. It's a 1 in 1b chance you'll run into a red wolf or haint dog, so don't go looking for one.
There are sunflower seed brands that offer nightfolk-oriented flavors such as offal, leech, scarbuncle cheese, pickled eye stalk, barbamayo, salted gator paw, snap-trap, Literally All-Purpose, red kelp, and more.
Gretl's is the nightfolk equivalent to Willy Wonka and is considered The candy & snack food brand, having numerous partnerships with human companies across the globe.
Population addendum: There is closer to 250 million nightfolk, versus the prior population estimates at 100-125 million.
Vampires, witches, wizards, sorcerers, and weres are the most common nightfolk.
The last of the great gryphons, Crovita's father Ágrìfa, was killed by poachers in a vicious massacre in the 1800s.
Hearing voices and seeing things are about as stigmatized in the nightfolk realm as they are in the human, this being because all manners of vile and terrible things could be revealing themselves to you...like a Red Hand vampire or a petty goddess who wishes to lead you to your death. Still, most will refer you to a bloodweaver and leave it at that.
Tommy-knockers run the banks in tandem with the Gilde family, at least in the United States, and the partnership here is ridiculously iron-clad. Not even the government could tear the two apart, and it has tried several times to get rid of them and establish a central bank (and failed spectacularly every time).
Nightfolk drink alcohol for taste 96% of the time and have a much, much higher legal limit at 0.460.
Most of the nightfolk locations with distinctly Sunjatti names are 'tastes of home' to those who remember the Old World, and the cultures in each loosely resemble the Old World cultures.
Nightfolk ended up on earth through a magical rift caused by the first mage to ever get his hands on a Sanguine Star some 6,000 years ago, who then went on to rebuild their communities on each of the continents, steadily becoming more and more integrative isolationists into the modern era.

Crystal Valley Grocer
Highest quality produce, meat, and dairy from the fields of Crystal Valley, right to your plate! Low prices! Check the newspaper for the latest sale flyer.
Creation Notes:
Look, I'm a sucker for a good downtown/main street area. I wanted to emulate that, and since Crystal Valley proper is a bit of a smaller town, this makes sense.
As with the other community lots built my me, yes, the custom parking spaces are wrong. I still need to correct these at some point.
The tailor I enjoy, but it's a bit... cramped? I really wanted the displays to look like that with the elevated foundations, so some sacrifices were made.
Crystal Valley Grocer is... passable. It's a grocery store, so it's not meant to be flashy, but man is it boxy. I tried my best to break it up with that café section, but it's still a bit boring. But hey, boring is okay!
Oceanside Court being the European Townhouse lots just. Kind of happened? I could see them being condos that are used for vacationers.
You can see it off to the edge, but I put down some construction 'hood deco! The plan is to eventually place more homes there, and I felt that it would be a touch more realistic to have that set down in the meantime.
#this post got long but I formatted it like the one on BoolProp#given that it's mostly just credits#sims 2#Crystal Valley: The Original

I see you're from Delaware. I know absolutely nothing about your state and want to fix that, so what in your opinion is the most beautiful place there?
Okay you are not alone, even people in bordering states basically know it just as a place they drive through to get to other, far more exciting places, or where they go to make major purchases since we have no sales tax.
But one of my all-time favorite places is Brandywine Creek State Park. It's so beautiful and peaceful to walk through, and even when you're driving through the valley you're just on these winding roads surrounded by tall trees and it's stunning, especially in the fall. Just look at these!
We also have some beautiful gardens that are really secluded and people tend to not even know they're there, like the Goodstay Gardens (that has a gorgeous magnolia walk in the spring) and my fave, the Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar, that are hidden behind an abandoned mansion that's been recently restored. Big secret garden vibes.
And then we also have the Mt. Cuba Center, a botanical garden with a mission to preserve native plants, and the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, which is home to lots of beautiful migratory birds.
And then just because I'm assuming most of you here follow for the pirates, I have to highlight the Kalmar Nyckel, which is a replica of a 17th century ship that was built by the Dutch for Swedish settlers. They do river cruises and pirate events, and it is pretty cool to be out on the Riverfront and look out to see this big ole ship out there.
#we may not be the most exciting of states#but we have our appeal#also we're so small truly everybody knows everybody#6 degrees of separation is way too easy a game you gotta knock it down to 3 to make it a challenge#also obligatory not my photos disclaimer#mine either did not do these places justice or had friends in them

The Buzz on Honey Bees and Their Business
The Buzz on Honey Bees and Their Business: Selling Honey Equipment Online
The honey bee, a small insect with a vital role in our ecosystem, has increasingly become the center of attention not just for its environmental significance, but for its burgeoning business opportunities. If you're passionate about honey bees and want to delve into the world of honey-making, then the online market has a plethora of equipment and tools to get you started. From essential beekeeping supplies to those crucial finishing touches like heat shrink bands for jars and bottles, you're just a click away from starting your honey business.
Understanding the Honey Bee Business
Before diving into the types of equipment you can sell online, it's crucial to understand the honey bee business. As these industrious creatures collect nectar, they produce honey—a sweet, golden liquid loved by many. But turning that liquid gold into a market-ready product requires specific tools and techniques.
Essential Equipment for Honey Extraction
Beehives: The primary home for your honey bees. They come in various styles, but the most common are the Langstroth and Top-bar hives.
Bee Suits: These protective suits ensure beekeepers can handle their bees without the risk of stings.
Smokers: Used to calm bees during hive inspections.
Honey Extractors: A device that spins frames, extracting honey without damaging the honeycombs.
Perfecting the Packaging Process
Once you've successfully harvested your honey, the next step is packaging. This is where details like shrink wrap bands for jars come in.
Glass Jars and Bottles: When we muse about honey, the quintessential, timeless packaging we think of? That's right. Glass. They stretch across the spectrum in sizes, some tiny like a delicate thimble, others hefty, holding treasures of amber nectar. Shapes? Oh, they dance from conventional rounds to eclectic hexagons. Catering to the ever-evolving market, they stand resolute, each telling its tale.
Heat Shrink Bands for Jars and Bottles: You've seen heat shrink bands for bottles. Perhaps, without much thought. But, ever think of the genius behind these slender bands? Once dormant, with a hint of heat, they snap into action. Hugging your bottle or jar's neck, they promise safety, scream professionalism. Tamper? Think twice. These heat shrink bands for jars are guardians; their mere presence a challenge to any foul play.
Labels: Imagine walking through an aisle, and a myriad of jars beckon. What makes you pause, tilt your head and reach out? Often, it’s that piece of art draped around the bottle: The label. More than just a sticky piece of paper, it’s a canvas that whispers tales of the golden liquid within. And more than that, it often sings songs of the brand's ethos, legacy, and promises.
Selling Equipment Online:
Fancy a dive into the lucrative world of online honey-equipment sales? A realm awaits. You see, the beekeeper's world isn’t just filled with buzzing. Be it the newbie next door or the seasoned pro from the valley, they’re all scouring for top-notch gear. And while the basics hold their ground, why not sprinkle your inventory with diverse, vibrant heat shrink bands? Every hue, every size. And, to spice things up, keep an eye on the beekeeping vogue. Evolve, adapt, and stay a buzz ahead.
Conclusion:
It’s not just about the hum and the honey. The bee business? It’s a tapestry. Threads of art, science, and commerce intertwining. And as for success? Well, get the gear right. Whether it’s a state-of-the-art extractor or a humble heat shrink band, every cog matters. The golden road to triumph? Just around the corner.
Here's to the art of beekeeping and the sweet symphony it brings! Cheers!

FRESNO, Calif. — The fighting pride of California’s Central Valley and one of boxing’s pound-for-pound queens are joining forces for a special Fresno Fight Night. Former unified 140-pound world champion Jose Ramirez will meet former lightweight world champion Richard “RC” Commey in the 12-round junior welterweight main event Saturday, March 25, at Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. The co-feature will be a world title unification clash, as WBA minimumweight world champion Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada collides with WBC world champion Tina Rupprecht. Ramirez-Commey and Estrada-Rupprecht will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Promoted by Top Rank, in association with DiBella Entertainment, tickets starting at $29 go on sale go on sale Friday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. PT and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com and the Arena Box Office. Ramirez (27-1, 17 KOs), from Avenal, California, returns home to the friendly confines of the Save Mart Center, which has hosted six of his previous fights. Following his 2021 decision defeat to Josh Taylor for the undisputed junior welterweight title, Ramirez rebounded last March with a unanimous decision victory over former two-weight world champion Jose Pedraza. He has been among the sport’s best 140-pounders since winning the WBC world title over Amir Imam in March 2018. After defending that title twice, Ramirez stopped Maurice Hooker in six brutal rounds to unify the WBC and WBO titles. Ramirez retained both belts with a hard-fought majority decision over Viktor Postol in August 2020, a win that set up the Taylor showdown. “Fresno and the Save Mart Center hold a special place in my heart, and I am blessed to be able fight in front of my Central Valley fans once again,” Ramirez said. “Richard Commey is a championship fighter with everything to gain. I expect the best version of Commey on March 25. My goal is to become champion again, and I am more motivated than ever to prove that I am the best junior welterweight in the world.” "Ramirez is motivated like I have never seen, and he's out to prove some things,” said Rick Mirigian, Ramirez’s manager. “It all starts in Fresno in front of 15,000 hometown fans." Commey (30-4-1, 27 KOs), from Accra, Ghana, made his name as one of the sport’s top lightweights, winning Commonwealth honors before capturing the IBF world title in February 2019. His title reign lasted 10 months, as he knocked out former world champion Ray Beltran before a stunning second-round stoppage defeat to Teofimo Lopez at Madison Square Garden. Commey’s lightweight run ended with a December 2021 decision loss to Vasiliy Lomachenko. Last August, in his junior welterweight debut, he fought to a 10-round draw against Pedraza. Commey said, “I want to thank my team for putting me on the path to fulfilling my dream of becoming a two-weight world champion. I also want to thank Bob Arum and Top Rank for once again showing faith in me by allowing me to headline against a formidable opponent in Jose Ramirez. I’m up for the challenge, and I intend to make Ghana and all my fans around the world proud." Estrada (23-0, 9 KOs), from East Los Angeles, California, returns to her home state intent on unifying world titles for the first time in her decorated career. The 30-year-old veteran turned pro nearly a dozen years ago and has competed at the world class level in three weight classes. In 2021, she captured the WBA minimumweight and WBO light flyweight titles in consecutive fights. Estrada then vacated the light flyweight title to pursue undisputed glory at minimumweight. She signed with Top Rank last year and returned from a nearly 11-month layoff in November to shut out Jazmin Gala Villarino. “I want to give Tina credit for being a world champion who isn’t afraid of a unification fight, unlike Yokasta Valle,” Estrada said. “Since we couldn’t get Yokasta into the ring, we decided to do one better and fight the woman who beat her. The Fresno fans are passionate, and they are in for a great show.” Rupprecht (12-0-1, 3 KOs), from Augsburg, Germany, has made five defenses of her world title after being elevated from interim champion in 2018. Earlier that year, she toppled Valle, who is the current IBF and WBO unified minimumweight world champion In July 2021, Rupprecht edged former world champion Katia Gutierrez by split decision. Following more than a year away from the ring, she shook off the ring rust to dominate Peruvian veteran Rocio Gaspar to set up the Estrada showdown. Rupprecht has fought all but one of her pro bouts in Germany and will make the nearly 6,000-mile journey in hopes of ruining Estrada’s undisputed goal. “To fight in America against a fellow world champion in a world title unification is a dream come true for me,” Rupprecht said. “Seniesa is considered one of the sport’s best fighters, and I look forward to seeing who is the true number one in the division. This will be a Fight of the Year candidate and another huge night for female boxing. I’m going to be victorious and return to Germany with two world title belts.” The undercard, streaming live and exclusively on ESPN+, is scheduled to include the following standouts: Lightweight contender Raymond “Danger” Muratalla (16-0, 13 KOs), from Fontana, California, and trained by Robert Garcia, makes his 2023 debut in a 10-rounder. Muratalla went 3-0 in 2022, including stoppage victories over veterans Jeremy Hill and Miguel Contreras. Rising lightweight Karlos Balderas (14-1, 12 KOs), a 2016 U.S. Olympian from Santa Maria, California, looks to author his sixth consecutive victory in an eight-rounder. Balderas is coming off a career-best showing over Esteban Sanchez, a methodical beatdown that resulted in an eighth-round TKO. Antonio “El Gigante” Mireles (6-0, 6 KOs), a 6-foot-9 heavyweight from Des Moines, Iowa, aims for knockout number seven in a six-rounder. Mireles has three first-round knockouts and three second-round stoppages on his ledger. Lightweight prospect Charlie Sheehy (5-0, 4 KOs), the former U.S. amateur star from Brisbane, California, makes his third professional appearance in Fresno in a six-rounder. Javier “Milwaukee Made” Martinez (8-0, 2 KOs), who trains with Ramirez at Robert Garcia Boxing Academy, will fight an opponent to be named in a six-round middleweight tilt. Flyweight prospect Jessie James Guerrero (3-0-1, 3 KOs), from Gilroy, California, will see action in a four-rounder in his U.S. debut.
