PHARAOH'S GOTTA GO
In this week’s Torah portion, Vaera, God speaks to Moses and says “Go and tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites depart from his land.” (Ex. 6:11) God further specifies, “Go to Pharaoh in the morning, as he is coming out to the water….” (Ex. 7:15). According to Rashi, “coming out to the water” means relieving himself. But surely the all-powerful ruler of Egypt could use a golden commode in his own palace. Why go out to the river to do his business?
Pharaoh claimed to be a god, and gods don’t go to the bathroom. To prevent his courtiers from finding out that he was a mere human, Pharaoh left the palace to relieve himself every morning. It was a way to keep the grift going. God sent Moses to approach Pharaoh at the very moment that revealed him for the mortal and the liar that he was. After cruelly oppressing the Jews, Pharaoh was brought low by ten plagues, and the epic humiliation started when Moses caught him in an all-too-human moment by the Nile.

With your latest post I imagine that in that same au later in her life when senya married aegon iii and they have kids together and the kids are equally as possessive as aegon iii and aegon ii and Helaena are of senya. Like they just got it from their fam
senya and aegon end up have like 8 children. the one ones come three months after rthey got married on dragonstone. twins, she names then, Vaera, and Caelyx.
senya adores the twins, always carrying them around, despite alicents attempted intervention, she refuses to let anyone else nurse them, those are her babies. her closeness to her children only makes it worse when even as babies, they reciprocate it. they only settle down when senya, aegon ii or immediate family holds them (rhaenyra, daemon, helaena, aegon ii) but they don't like being away from their mother, which only worsens as they grow up.
it makes it really funny when at three years old, senya is pregnant again and they just decide that they hate this baby. their mom is having another baby but they're mommy's babies :((((
Caelyx offers to kill the baby and Vaera almost agrees but mommy seems happy and so does daddy so they'll allow it, for now.
It's a boy, which senya lets aegon name since she named the twins, he chooses daerys. daerys ends up looking more like aegon than senya like the twins do.
about a year and a half later, senya falls pregnant again, with a girl, who both aegon and her agree on a name for. Helaera. while senya has features from both of her parents. Helaera looks almost astonishingly like her mother.
five years later (its almost impressive that aegon held off five years, daemon remarks. aegon ii almost murders him for that comment) senya has triplets. all three boys. Haekar, is the eldest. Lael, is the middle boy. Lucel, is the youngest.
Everyone is surprised by the birth of triplets, aegon stays by senya's side the entire time and senya lets all of her sweet babies climb up on the bed with her. (her sweet babies threatened the guard that refused to let them into her room until their father intervened)
two years later, senya and aegon have one more child, Maera, a sweet girl that looks almost exactly like rhaenyra, which brings tears to her eyes when rhaenyra meets the baby for the first time.
#so yeah! those are their babies#the twins ends up being the most unhinged children of all which brings tears to daemons eyes#vaera targaryen#caelyx targaryen#daerys targaryen#helaera targaryen#haekar targaryen#lael targaryen#lucel targaryen#maera targaryen#so yeah! there you go!#so many babies#visenya ii targaryen

Aemond targaryen x Reader wife Velaryon
Word count: 1779
Warning: Fluff
Pt2 pt3 pt4
"Mommy! Vaera has my dress," little Vaerys complained, clinging to your skirt with the determination of someone seeking justice in her small, childish world.
"That's not true," Vaera retorted, her tone indignant, her voice reflecting the restlessness she also showed in her constant fidgeting as you tried to braid her hair.
"Vaera, stay still," you ordered her softly but firmly, your skilled hands deftly moving through her golden locks. Despite her agitation, your skill did not waver, and soon an impeccable braid began to form.
"Sweetheart, what you're wearing is very pretty too," you tried to negotiate with the little platinum-haired girl who was still clutching your dress.
"But I want it to be pink," insisted Vaerys, her lower lip trembling in a pout you knew all too well.
You sighed, knowing there would be no peace until the little one's wishes were fulfilled. "Alright," you relented, gesturing to one of your ladies-in-waiting. She hurried to tend to the twins, swapping their dresses with the efficiency born of routine. Meanwhile, your hands briefly rested on your swollen belly, caressing it with deep, protective love.
The sound of the doors opening behind you interrupted the moment, and you turned just in time to see Aerion, your only son, standing in the doorway. "Mommy," he called softly, almost hesitantly.
A gasp escaped your lips at the sight of your son. Your hands flew to your mouth, trying to contain the shock. The beautiful platinum and golden hair that used to fall in soft waves to Aerion's shoulders had disappeared, crudely cut. His face was smeared with smoke and dirt, as if he had been in the midst of a battle.
“Aerion, for the love of the gods, what happened?” you exclaimed, crossing the distance between you in an instant. You took your son by the shoulders, examining his face with concern as you searched for answers in his eyes.
One of the knights who had escorted Aerion to the room remained silent, his gaze fixed on the floor as if the shame was a weight he could not bear.
“What happened?” you insisted, your voice firm, seeking answers in the knight’s face.
The knight cleared his throat before responding, his voice full of a mixture of respect and concern. “Prince Aerion decided to escape from his training and ventured into the pit where Vhagar and Silverwing rest. We managed to pull him out of there before the dragon’s fire consumed him, but his hair caught fire in the process, and the maester decided to cut it to prevent further damage.”
He finished speaking with his gaze once again fixed on the ground, as if each word added more weight to his shoulders.
Before you could respond, Aerion quickly intervened, noticing the displeasure forming on your face. “But the maester said it will grow back!” he exclaimed with the desperation of a child seeking absolution, his large, anxious eyes searching yours.
You gestured for the guard to leave, and he obeyed with a bow before exiting the room. Then, you pressed your lips together, trying to stay calm as a storm of fear and anger swirled within you. The danger Aerion had exposed himself to was no small matter; the fact that he had emerged practically unscathed was a miracle. However, his recklessness could not be ignored or overlooked.
You took Aerion’s face in your hands, gently wiping the dirt from his cheeks, your gaze firm and worried. “Aerion,” you began, trying not to let your voice tremble with emotion, “we’ve talked about this before. Dragons are not pets. You cannot approach them as if they were dogs.”
“But I just wanted to see them,” your son responded in a whisper, his eyes fixed on the ground. Guilt weighed in his voice, and yet there was still a trace of his childish stubbornness. “I’m sorry, really,” he added, stepping forward and wrapping his small arms around your waist, seeking comfort and perhaps a way to avoid the punishment he feared.
You sighed, feeling the warmth of his embrace, but not letting it distract you from what needed to be said. “I know, my love, and I believe you. But you must understand that you cannot do this again. Dragons are powerful and dangerous creatures. I don’t want to lose you to a mistake.” With tenderness, you tilted your head and placed a gentle kiss on his head.
With the same softness, you pulled away slightly from him. “Now, go clean yourself up,” you ordered in a tone that left little room for objections.
One of your ladies-in-waiting approached and took Aerion’s hand with the usual deference, guiding him to the bath to prepare him for cleaning. As you watched them leave, you let out a slight groan of pain as you felt the baby in your womb give small kicks, reminding you of their presence with an energy that could not be ignored.
The door opened again, and as you looked up, you saw your husband, Aemond, who gave you a warm smile upon seeing you. There was a familiarity and affection in his gaze that always managed to calm your spirit. Carefully, he placed his sword on the table before approaching you, his presence filling the room with a tranquility only he could offer.
“Daddy!” Vaerys exclaimed with excitement, breaking the brief moment of silence. Without hesitation, the little girl jumped into her father’s arms, wrapping her tiny arms around his neck with the absolute confidence of a child who knows they will always be received with love.
Aemond lifted her effortlessly, holding her against his chest as his face softened even more. “And how is my little warrior today?” he asked playfully, as Vaerys laughed, delighted by her father’s attention.
Meanwhile, Vaera, who had remained silent, looked at her sister with bright eyes, waiting her turn to be hugged. With a gesture that showed Aemond’s natural skill in handling the dynamics between his children, he extended his other arm to draw Vaera to his side as well.
“Look at my dress,” Vaerys exclaimed, raising her arms to proudly show off her pink dress, waiting for her father's approval.
Aemond, always attentive to the details that mattered to his daughters, smiled and nodded appreciatively. “It’s a beautiful dress, Vaerys,” he commented with warmth that made the little girl’s eyes shine.
Not wanting to be left out, Vaera quickly interjected, spreading the folds of her own dress. “Look at mine too!” she proclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of enthusiasm and expectation.
Aemond placed a loving kiss on Vaerys’s cheek, then another on Vaera’s cheek, making sure both felt his affection equally. The twins, satisfied with their father’s attention, moved away with playful laughter, their pink dresses fluttering as they disappeared into their own world of games and giggles.
Your husband approached you with a tenderness he only showed during the most intimate moments. Gently, he placed his hand on your swollen belly, caressing it with the same devotion he showed each day, as if already attuned to the new family member who was about to arrive.
“You look worried,” he murmured, his voice filled with concern as he pressed his forehead against yours, a gesture you shared when seeking comfort in each other’s closeness. “What’s wrong?”
The warmth of his skin and the familiarity of his touch reassured you, but the emotions you had been holding back began to surface. You closed your eyes for a moment, letting his presence calm your thoughts before you responded.
“It’s Aerion,” you confessed in a whisper, feeling the worry still weighing on your heart. “Today, he ran off and got too close to Vhagar and Silverwing. He almost… I can’t bear to think about what could have happened.”
“He’s a brave boy,” Aemond said, his voice soft but with the firmness of someone who understands the complex nature of his son. “I’ll talk to him.”
You nodded, knowing that Aemond, with his patience and wisdom, was the best person to guide Aerion in these moments. As the weight of your worry began to lift, you allowed yourself a moment of vulnerability, resting your head against Aemond’s chest. The steady beat of his heart beneath your ear was a reassuring reminder of the strength and stability you always found in him.
Sensing your need for closeness, Aemond wrapped you in a warm embrace, his arms surrounding you with a tenderness that always surprised you, contrasting with his usual sternness. In that moment, the outside world, with all its worries and challenges, seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of you, connected in a silence full of understanding.
“You need to relax,” Aemond murmured, his voice caressing the air as gently as his hand moved up and down your back. The gesture was comforting, almost hypnotic, as if he wanted to erase the accumulated tension from every muscle in your body, leading you to a state of deep calm.
The warmth of his touch and the firmness with which he held you sent a wave of tranquility through you. You rested your head against his chest, letting yourself be carried by the steady rhythm of his breathing, which slowly synchronized with yours. You could feel his strength and protection enveloping you, offering you a refuge where you could rest without reservations.
“I’m here,” Aemond continued, his voice low, almost a whisper, resonating in your ear like an unbreakable promise. “You don’t have to carry all this weight alone. Together, we can handle anything.”
His words, laden with a love that didn’t need to be expressed with grand gestures, comforted you in a way that few things could. It was a reminder that, despite everything you faced, you weren’t alone in this journey. Aemond was by your side, sharing not only the joys but also the burdens that life imposed on you.
You felt his fingers tracing gentle circles on your back, a simple gesture that spoke of his desire to see you relaxed and at peace. Each caress seemed to take away a bit of the tension you had accumulated, and in response, you held onto him a little tighter, letting his presence envelop you completely.
“Thank you,” you murmured, barely a whisper, but enough for him to hear. You lifted your gaze to meet his eyes, those eyes that always offered you the certainty that, no matter what came your way, you would face it together.

“This interminable in fighting must cease” shouted Viserys banging his wooden cane on the floor.
“F-Father” muttered Rhaenyra.
“Your father. Your grandsire. Your King demands it” screamed Viserys.
“Your Grace if-“
“-I will see things at an end” snapped Viserys as he turned towards Otto who bowed his head in faux submission.
“Husband” muttered Alicent sadly.
“When Princess Vaera turns five and ten, she is to come to Kings Landing where she will be wed to my son Prince Aemond” declared Viserys.
After momentary beat of silence, the room erupted into chaos.
“I will not have my son married to that girl”.
“He attacked Baela”.
“They attacked me”.
“He stole Vhagar”.
“Mother don’t let her be married to him”.
“She’s my daughter I should get a say who she marries”.
“SILENCE!” bellowed Viserys.
“You will do as your King commands, the two of them will enter into a period of courtship and then they will be wed. I would see our family united, and I swear there will be consequences if anyone dares to disobey me” ordered Viserys.
“Yes, Your Grace” muttered Rhaenyra.
Vaera looked down at her hands that were still stained with Aemond’s blood, her cotton night dress in tatters after she had ripped away a piece of the fabric to press against his face to try and stop the bleeding.
“He didn’t steal Vhagar” mumbled Vaera.
“What did you say?” asked Rhaenyra her eyes wide with surprise.
“Aemond. He didn’t steal Vhagar”.
“Yes, he did, Vhagar belonged to Rhaena she was our mother’s dragon” snapped Baela.
“Nobody owns the dragons; they are creatures of their own free will, they are not posessions to be passed down, she allowed Aemond to claim her. Zaldrīzes buzdari iksos daor” replied Vaera. (A dragon is not a slave).
Rhaenyra smiled slightly as she tucked a stray silver curl of hair behind her daughter’s ear.
Alicent stunned to silence turned to face Viserys who smiled.
“It seems as though my granddaughter is the only one blessed with any kind of sense. This matter is finished” ordered Viserys.
Vaera noticed Aemond peering at her from across the room and she gave him a small smile before she turned away.
- Five Years Later -
Everything had changed since that night on Driftmark. Vaera had lost her father Laenor and gained another in her great uncle Daemon, who also turned out to be her biological father.
Not that Vaera wanted to know the details, but her mother had spent her wedding night to Laenor with Daemon. A death had occurred at the feast and Laenor had descended deep into his cups to block his pain over the loss of his beloved Joffrey and Daemon had snuck into her mother’s chambers, did what they wanted or needed to do and nine moons later she had been born. Of course, by this time Daemon had already absconded across the narrow sea and married Laena Velaryon.
Growing up had been a little tough for Vaera, as her mother had been deeply in love with Daemon and his abandonment of her had broken her heart. Every time her mother looked at her, she could see it in her eyes. Rhaenyra tried to be a good mother to her and sometimes she was indeed soft and warm, but other times she was vacant and unfeeling.
So, Vaera spent most of her time with Laenor, even more so after he mother gave birth to Jacaerys and Lucerys, both babes blessed with brown hair and bearing an entirely coincidental resemblance to the commander of the city watch Ser Harwin Strong.
Whispers of bastard followed both of her younger brothers and it eventually caused a rift between them. Sure, she had also been subjected to the reservations of the court, but due to her flowing silver hair and amethyst eyes suspicions of her true parentage eventually fell by the wayside.
Maybe it should have been better when her mother had married Daemon, but it wasn’t. Things remained the same. Vaera always got the sense that her father was disappointed in her, he seemed to be dismissive of her and never cared to spend time with her like he did her sister Baela. Her other sister Rhaena had told her that she had felt the same way and it was most likely down to their lack of a dragon.
It wasn’t her fault that her cradle egg never hatched. Mayhaps that dragon wasn’t truly meant for her.
A theory that turned out to be true, when Vaera had managed to claim the most ferocious dragon alive the Cannibal.
All those who had tried to claim him before had perished, his nest was littered with the bones of all those who had tried and failed. Yet he’d accepted her. She was his first ever rider.
Perhaps he senses her loneliness and the need for a friend as he had felt the same way. But something definitely called to her with her Cannibal and their bond was like no other. They spent every moment they could together, either in the air flying amongst the clouds or on the ground where Cannibal would curl around her as she read countless books to him.
Messages of congratulations arrived from Kings Landing, although some were laced with uncertainty with regards to her claiming of the ferocious Cannibal. Sure, he had a reputation but as long as his hunger was satisfied then he had no desire for the flesh of his own kind.
The years on Dragonstone spent bonding with Cannibal were the best, of course the deteriorating relationship with her parents and siblings wasn’t a great aspect. But Vaera firmly decided that she didn’t care as long as she had her dragon.
Her mother was too preoccupied with the babe she’d recently given birth too. A boy named Aegon, which was ridiculous considering there was already an Aegon. But now her father had his son and that’s all he cared about.
The time was now upon her to travel to Kings Landing so she could begin her courtship with Aemond. She wondered what he’d be like now. They’d not seen each other since the night he’d lost his eye on Driftmark, but they had been friends before that. Vaera was not simple minded she knew what was expected of her with regards to marriage, but she hoped Aemond would be amenable to rebuilding some form of their friendship.
Due to recently giving birth, her mother could not escort her to Kings Landing and her father wasn’t keen either something about ‘Hightower cunts’ and neither Jace nor Luke volunteered which in Luke’s case was probably a good thing. So, after making sure she had everything packed and bidding farewell to everyone, Vaera climbed on the back of her Cannibal and took to the skies, heading away from Dragonstone towards Kings Landing.
Once Vaera arrived in Kings Landing, she had Cannibal circle the Red Keep a couple of times before he landed with a colossal thud on the stone walls that surrounded the castle. Announcing his arrival with a thunderous roar, Cannibal manoeuvred himself off the wall and lowered himself to the ground. After taking a moment to gather her bags that were attached to Cannibal, Vaera elegantly moved off Cannibals back and descended down the wing that he’d pressed against the ground.
Cannibal lingered by her side for a moment, observing the two guards that had appeared at the entrance to the castle. His low rumbling growls echoing around the courtyard.
“It’s ok my sweet” urged Vaera as she ran her hand along Cannibals scaly neck.
Cannibal who was still hesitant to leave her side, bared his teeth as the guards moved closer.
“I’m fine, they are merely escorts. Go hunt and find a place to rest. I will see you soon” said Vaera as she pressed a quick kiss to Cannibal’s snout.
Cannibal trilled as he nudged her gently, lingering at her side for a few moments longer before he opened his large wings and took off from the ground with a huge gust of wind.
Vaera held her bags close as the guards slowly approached her.
“Princess Vaera. Welcome to Kings Landing. Allow us to escort you to the Queen”.
“Thank you” replied Vaera.
Vaera silently followed the guards as they walked through the Red Keep. Ignoring the curious looks of the maids and servants as she went passed.
Eventually the guards came to a stop in front of a large ornate wooden door.
Knock, knock.
“Enter”.
“Princess Vaera. Your Grace” said one of the guards as he stood aside and allowed Vaera to enter the room.
“Ahh Princess, forgive me. We were not made aware that you would be arriving today”.
“Apologise your grace. My mother must have forgotten to send the raven” replied Vaera.
“It appears so Princess. But never mind you’re here now. Let us discuss your courtship and upcoming marriage to my son” said Alicent.
“Yes, Your Grace” said Vaera bowing her head respectfully.
“Talia, would you take the Princesses bags to her assigned chambers” ordered Alicent.
“Your Grace” replied Talia as she wordlessly took Vaera’s bags and left the room.
“Please take a seat” offered Alicent, gesturing to the empty space next to her.
Vaera slowly sat beside the Queen and took a deep breath, she had not seen Alicent since Driftmark and in truth she was a little nervous.
“Your courtship period with Aemond will last approximately three moons, after that the two of you will marry in the sept under the faith of the seven” said Alicent sternly.
“Of course, Your Grace” whispered Vaera, fidgeting with her riding leathers.
“You will be expected to do your duty as a wife and only bear my son’s children”.
Vaera of course picked up on Alicent’s thinly veiled dig at her mother, and obviously the Queen was waiting for her response as she stared her pointedly.
“I’m well aware of my duty Your Grace. Despite what you may think. I am not my mother. I fully understand the value of my virtue and I swear that no man has touched me, and no man will ever touch me besides my husband” replied Vaera truthfully.
“Pretty words Princess. Surely you can understand my reluctance to believe such things”.
“Yes, Your Grace I do understand. But as I said I am not my mother, and I can assure you I have no such desire to sully myself or my husband by birthing bastards” said Vaera sharply.
Alicent stared at her for a moment before smiling and nodding her head.
“You will of course be assigned a guard who will accompany you and ensure your safety and wellbeing” said Alicent.
“Yes, Your Grace” whispered Vaera.
“I must also inform you that I expect your to behave whilst you are here and act in a manner befitting a Princess of the realm” retorted Alicent.
“Of course, Your Grace. I will endeavour to act accordingly” said Vaera.
“This is your home now; you may go where you wish” replied Alicent.
Vaera nodded wordlessly.
“Ser Arryk will be your guard, mayhaps you would like to be escorted to your chambers so that you may bathe” said Alicent.
“Yes, Your Grace, I understand the smell of dragon isn’t particularly pleasant” replied Vaera.
“I expect your presence at dinner later today, a formal introduction between you and Aemond will be made. I will send a maid to inform you of the time. Ser Arryk will you escort the Princess to her chambers”.
Ser Arryk lumbered forward and Vaera bowed respectfully to the Queen before following the knight.
As she walked back to her assigned chambers, Vaera couldn't help but wonder what her marriage to Aemond would be like.
Would he love her? or would she be nothing more than his duty?
Only time would tell.

Can you imagine Aegon and Deamon competing for best grandad against each other especially as they love the little girl Visenya has as she practically gave birth to a copy of her.
Imagine Aegon saying “don’t you worry baby granddaughter pops won’t let some name stealing jerk take you away from me”. Hahaha
That baby would be spoilt rotten. Especially with by her grandmothers as well. Hel and Nyra.
If someone like a guard was to hurt Visenya what would her family be like? How murderous would Aegon, Aegon the younger, Daemon, Hel, Nrya, Aemond etc act.
they do initially have a little fight over whos the better grandfather to little Vaera. Aegon iii is not amused as he watches his father and uncle fight over his newborn daughter and senya frowns at the them.
"No fighting in front of Vaera!" She scolds them like children as they both sulk. "Hmph! For shame! Fighting in front of a baby." Senya turns away from her father and uncle, holding baby Vaera and baby Caelyx in her arms.
Aegon iii pats his wife's back softly, soothing her as he stares down his father. "Childish." He mutters as he guided Senya away from them.
"How cruel, my own child." Daemon buries his face in Rhaenyra's chest for sympathy and she sighs.
