i'm gonna be really honest for a second. being a multishipper in the 9-1-1 fandom is EXHAUSTING. it feels like other true multishippers are rare and even people who are multishippers still seem to fall onto one side or the other of the ship war, which means there's negativity EVERYWHERE and also means that being in any space for speculation is SO draining.

I LOVE bucktommy. I LOVE buddie. I LOVE buddietommy. I LOVE eddietommy, and buckbobby, and buddiebobby, and eddiebobby, and buddietaylor, and a hundred other things. And I KNOW there are plenty of other 9-1-1 fans who also enjoy these pairings just as much as I do.

But it so easily and quickly gets drowned out by the very intensely vocal sides of fandom that are ADAMANT about their ships going canon. I want buddie to go canon! I do! But I'll be equally as pleased if bucktommy is endgame. And I feel constantly caught in the middle because buddie fans so easily throw vitriol at Tommy and call bucktommy fans ridiculous for wanting bucktommy to be endgame, and at the same time bucktommy fans throw vitriol at Eddie and call buddie fans delusional and ridiculous for thinking buddie will ever go canon.

So not only can I not do what I love, which is gush endlessly about the pairings I love, without feeling like I HAVE to disclaim that I'm NOT in this war and I personally don't CARE what goes canon, but I ALSO get soooo burnt out with speculation.

It's been a long time since I was in a TV show fandom that was still airing. Not since the end of Supernatural, and Voltron before that. I am really excited to be able to theorize and speculate for the weekly episodes in a way that I can't really do right now for Resident Evil since we don't have a ton confirmed in the works right now. It's FUN to throw crazy theories at the wall and see what sticks. I made a bingo card for 8b and I was so very giddy when I got to check off my "Buck moves into Eddie's house" square after 8x09, which was the first episode of the entire show I've watched live. I love taking crumbs from BTS and interviews and trying to piece them together. Personally, I love coming up with theories for both buddie and bucktommy, which is so easy right now between Buck being in Eddie's house and the multiple BTS we have practically confirming LFJ on set with Oli.

Eddie is my favorite character. When tonight's episode airs, I'm muting any spoiler/spec chats I'm a part of. I came into the show knowing a ton of spoilers, so I've never gotten to see an Eddie-focused arc totally blind. Because Tim confirmed 8x12 focuses on Eddie, I plan to go in completely and utterly blind--I won't look at the stills, the interviews, the emojis, nada, zip, until AFTER I have watched 8x12. But I'm also honestly looking forward to a week-long break.

Because the hard thing about speculation is that in a space that is SO dominated by ONE ship, SO MUCH of the spec becomes revolved around that ship. And I get it, I do. But also, it makes me kind of sad? Yes, I want to speculate about a queer journey for Eddie, and about Buck dealing with being alone in the Diaz house, and who Buck is out for drinks with. But...I want to do it in a way that focuses on the characters, NOT on their ship? I want to talk about Eddie handling his parents, especially with the somewhat-reconciliation we saw him have with Ramon in season 5 and the way Helena was obviously more of the mastermind behind taking Chris in season 7. I want to see Eddie and Chris work out their issues. I want to see Eddie deal with being away from ALL of his found family, not just Buck. And I want to speculate about these things without it immediately turning into a stepping stone toward buddie becoming canon.

I can't even say it's the same for bucktommy. The fandom vitriol for him is so strong that I pretty much only spec about Tommy or bucktommy with a specific friend who I know loves Tommy and bucktommy the same way and multiships the same way that I do. If I see spec about Tommy, it's always accompanied by someone saying why they don't want to see him again or talking about how Tommy showing up is going to be another stepping stone to buddie going canon.

It's just not how I personally engage with fandom, so it feels really alienating to know that on both sides there's so much vitriol and so much NEED to be right about what becomes canon. Shipping has NEVER been about things going canon for me personally. I shipped Shiro and Keith in Voltron, Sam and Castiel in Supernatural, Sam and Dean Winchester, Nick and Monroe in Grimm, Nanami and Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen. I knew in every single one of those instances that those ships would never ever go canon and I had zero chance of it happening, and it didn't matter. Fuck, any one of my Resident Evil ships CURRENTLY also will never go canon, and I don't care. Because at the end of the day, it's the CHARACTERS that make me have a ship. I don't ship Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield because I think CAPCOM will make them fuck dirty in Resident Evil 9. I ship them because they have a long, complex history with one another and they were literally created as character foils, so their dynamic is really interesting and inherently gives them a lot of chemistry.

It's no different for me with Buck and Eddie and Tommy. Buck and Eddie are complex characters with a very unique dynamic for two men on mainstream television, and exploring any version of how they might get together, split apart, get together again, get married, become fuckbuddies, mourn each other's deaths, etc. is fascinating and a lot of fun, and they have really good chemistry with one another that adds to it. Buck and Tommy as a canonical couple had a very healthy, loving relationship and their differences in personality actually made their chemistry stronger in my opinion. I've been shown by canon how great they are together, so why wouldn't I want to explore that? Buck, Eddie, and Tommy as a trio also have insane chemistry and exploring how three different personalities, dynamics, and life experiences would go together is interesting.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that as a writer and a reader/watcher, I vastly prefer character-driven stories. I will watch or read all the shitty plot in the world if the characters are compelling and well-written, but even the most perfect, well-written plot will lose me if the characters are flat and badly-written. Because this is how my brain works, shipping for me ALSO becomes character-driven. I don't WANT to speculate ONLY about how X and Y will get together and how X and Y fit into each other's lives and how XY is going to happen and how XZ shouldn't happen. I WANT to talk about how X and Y as separate people handle various situations, canon or spec, and how that could lead them into a partnership, not into becoming one object that only exists to be rabid over.

I just think the 9-1-1 fandom is a little too "this MUST go canon" focused, and they're a LOT too "everything has to do with my ship" focused. And it makes me feel like I'm standing alone in a room with nobody I can really share my opinions with (except for one person, you know who you are if you're reading this <3)

WARNING VOLTRON SPOILERS also blurb of thoughts n shit on it <3 basically a public voltron-centered diary entry at this point bc i have nobody to talk to irl so buckle up!!

just finished voltron and i’m fucking SOBBING. i finally started rewatching it a few days ago (kickstarted by a single keith post) when i had watched a few seasons before but not finished; from my scrambled memories of it as i rewatched, i think i originally stopped around season 7 somewhere?

anyway i had gotten to the beginning of s8 earlier tonight but when i got on our beloved hell site for the first time in like ages i went n followed a bunch of voltron tags and got a eensy weensy spoiler (lances markings he gets from allura) and was like GOTTA GO WATCH BC HOW DID THAT HAPPEN

so i binged all of s8 since like midnight and spent half of the last ep SOBBING. and i am NOT a crier. like. thinking they were gonna permanently lose their reality turned on all the fucking waterworks. allura’s sacrifice?? more sobbing. then crying from relief and also sad (allura) when they actually got their reality back. and then

AND THEN

ALTEA IS BACK?? BUT ITS THEIR REALITY??

and like lance is pretty much living there now and like the way he changed so much AND HIS MARKINGS 😭😭😭 like i love klance don’t get me wrong but oh my fucking god. what happened with him and allura. SOBBING. he literally cared for her more than anything and i can’t fucking imagine the shit he went through trying to accept and move forward once she was gone.

the REAL kicker was getting those pics of them all growing up and moving on with their lives. like i’ve fallen in love with all these characters over the last few days and those 8 seasons. i know yall get the end-of-series effect like this bc like come on we all do but we neverrr get a montage like that, at least not in any of the other shows that i know and love.

like wdym pidge is growing up?? and allura’s gone, leaving lance without her while he follows in her footsteps and lives on her planet? and shiro settled down and got a husband???

literally we got like ten minutes max (i don’t wanna go back and look and cry harder) of the rest of the storyline all smushed together and it’s so much and im sobbing anyway

i love this show sm i can’t wait to fully dive into the fandom <3

Not gonna lie anon, your question caught me off guard at 2am on a Sunday,, I was like 😳

“Oh shit someone's asking me?? About a ship?!” The intimidating question was so real and all I could do was literally go on a feral tirade on why I love Kidge so much and legit made no sense and just kept wondering in between moments of clarity on how I can properly defend myself on why I like the ship 😩 (not that I need to or have too, enough time has passed where I can say,,, just let me ship and be blissfully happy UwU, I do not car e anymore lol)

I will say that I want to keep this brief (as best I can, because heck I went feral just talking to myself on why I like the ship), I’m not the best at explaining things like some other amazing people might in the ship tag. But take what I say with a grain of salt and hope I don’t scare you off with whatever I do type.

**Note: This is not entirely brief liike how I wanted and I hate myself,, feck,,, I failed step one immediately**

Imma do bullet points, thoughts and prayers y'all cause I did my best to explain my chaotic thoughts lol ;;w;;

First and foremost! I definitely recommend that you watch the show in the general scope of a viewer and not just focusing on a ship. I think everyone should and would be aware of that~ but much like my initial watch I wasn’t paying much attention to the show and lore and story because I was distracted~. It wasn’t with Kidge at the time, but it definitely impeded my watch in the beginning as well as me falling off the fandom for a while into season 3-5. Plus, me rushing through those seasons when season 7 was coming around like, blood hell Alpha.

I think it goes without saying because the show is really good and love the found family aspect of it most importantly 👏🏼👏🏼 I am a sob and a fecking mess about this trope and I will forever cry over it.

I highly recommend watching the show in increments too instead of just binging it because you will lose information much faster 😭 and also it is just so fun to look forward to watch it the next day. I had so much fun this month just rewatching the show and am kind of depressed that it’s over lol 😔

Don’t cry because it’s over be happy for the journey (and all the fanfics you can reread again with full, understanding knowledge 😌)

Additionally, it is fun to reflect on the episodes re-watched, to better retain the info, at least for me, I can be slow with digesting new information (especially after so long), but it also made me giddy just talking to myself about the silly or serious shenanigans happening in the episode.

Second of all! I don’t want to convince you to ship Kidge 😩 I want you to convince yourself on why they would be good and cute together from your perspective! 👏🏼👏🏼

I personally think that they just work so well together, and while their initial interactions are short and brief, I love seeing them just standing next to each other or sharing panels during the fight sequences through much of the early seasons! I will say liike season 7 (even season 8) is like a holy grail for Kidge shippers because— 😩👏🏼 AH, took a while to get there, but we made it besties!!

Considering you’ve only seen season 1, I won’t dive into too many spoilers! To the best of my ability, I will say, I tended to focus on where the two stood by one another a lot and how they interacted in their lions and as Voltron and outside of it! ~

1. They both have family members/familial others on the trip to the Kerberos mission and just the whole concept of them looking for their respective familial figures.

Like that’s is the first part of the whole “WE COULD HAVE HAD IT ALL 😩” the way the two of them are shown to fight tooth and nail to save and go out of their way to figure out where their family members are is just 🤧✨ I truly believe if there was an opportunity to grow and develop them together it would have been over this.

I also find it incredibly fascinating that they are two of the most prominent characters that dive into their backstories in flashback sequences through the seasons ahead (we got a glimpse of Pidge's backstory in season 1 with a few more down the line). And how similar the two are in some of their experiences like school and being bullied and how their familial figures guide them (Shiro to Keith and Matt, and her father, to Pidge).

Hell, all of this could have been played as platonic all the way through or something more. Like I was there for it 👏🏼 I feel like this is a strong cemented stone on why I ship them a lot and keep me going on the potential their relationship could have been if they knew one another before the pilot episode. I just think it would have been cool, two conspiracy theorist bypassing the government to search for the truth!

2. They are literally the right and left arms of Voltron; the sword and shield ✨

I sincerely wish so much that again their relationship could have been developed more in the early seasons with this aspect, especially since we see how developed both Lance and Hunk are with each other (I mean they are literally best friends at the Garrison, I needed most of that with Kidge especially since they would be the opposite to them so it would have great to see them develop together as the arms of Voltron 🤧).

I just think it would have been nice to see it play out on how well they work together on the field and off it. I will say! It isn't all lost, especially into season 3 and like late season 6 and onwards! I say the dynamic of Shiro and Pidge in their lions and as Voltron currently is what kind of develops in Keith and Pidge later! I hope you can make sense of that later on as you keep watching 👀!

3. Other general things about their tropes and personalities just give me more fuel to ship them, such as:

Them both being introverted to heck in their respective ways; the techie nerd and the emo loner like,,, sillies!

I am always someone who loves looking at character color palettes and how they mesh well together; so believe me I lost my mind when Kidge shippers literally came up with Kidgemas cause of their red and green colors and I just *screams* 🌿🔥

I love both their personalities and how similar, yet different, they are to one another in that respect; they both have a drive and fire in them, their sarcasm and jibs to the others is so funny.

I'm not over season 1 episode,,, 2? Of the team training together and like,,, first of all, the two's small spat because Pidge couldn't concentrate during the mental exercise, but literally leaping to her defense when Allura threw food goo at her like,, Ah I just love her sarcasm to Allura then "The princess of what, your not ours--" and i just like go off queen, but also please no fighting 😩 y’all are going to be family ah,,, i love my dysfunctional family so much ya'll

Keith making a face at the action and immediately "Go loose, Pidge" LIKE AH! 👏🏼👏🏼😩😩

But they also have their calm moments of serene clarity and peace that is heighted with their interactions with the other characters as well!

I also noticed how they both tend to be the mature ones in some cases and some situations when around the other or a shared mature figure like Shiro; Keith by like a lot, clearly, but I was increasingly surprised by how Pidge maintained some serious temperament during missions, especially when around Hunk and most definitely around Lance lol (It is funny tho how serious and mildly annoyed she gets to his flirtatious ways, but can also immediately just let her guard down and have giddy fun with him when something catches her interest, it's so cute and hilarious 😌).

I also just love their development through the show of just letting their guard down around the others overtime! Especially with Keith and how his lone wolf personality melts away (believe me I lost my mind at how many sweet moments were between him and Hunk and IM just here crying at how Keith was able to smile and have fun around him 😭 💛❤️ got me all emotional i fecking criED). As well as Pidge with the others, especially after she told them about her true identity and how she wants to be able to work with them better without any secrets (On a side note, I wish there was more moments with Allura and Pidge earlier on ;;;o;;; SHE LEARNED ALTEAN FOR HER AND CORAN AND IM JUST,,, sweetie I love you! YOUR HONOR THEY ARE SISTERS! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼).

Ah shit, is that season 1 or 2? ;;w;; well, she learns it a nice fact! My girl is such a genius like how did she not like,,, move up grades in school, she is so intelligent , i could never. Not gonna lie, I feel like the team wouldn't be as successful with intel if they didn't have her and her tech wizard skills because DAMN.

Also how Keith was so up and arms when Pidge wanted to leave initially like!? Please ;;w;; sir has abandonment issues, please don't leave sweetie (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀); but also a similar scene occurs, very briefly, later on in reverse :) so take that as you will! It is very small, almost negligible if you aren't paying attention to it.

It is made better by a concluding panel that Kidge shippers just lose their minds over ! (Me, I am kidge shippers and I lost my mind over and over because they are just — *cries and sobs* perfecto!)

Very minor thing, but the height difference (in general im weak in the knees for this) always gets me crying, screaming, throwing up, going feral on the ground. My dearest Pidge, she may gain some legs later in life, but like she is definitely still tiny and I sob, give us short queens some representation because it is so hard out here, and we will kill you (not Allura bending down to her height in that episode she was planning to leave; how NOT to talk to a short person Allura lol 😩)

I think it goes without saying that the whole team, including Keith, are protective of Pidge like as they should be and I just *grins mischievously* can say with confidence that he do 😌

Definitely more of a personal headcanon, and there is a Kidge art of it floating around somewhere in the tag, if they actually had more moments and trained together, but I love Pidge being taught on how to defend herself, especially one on one and like her managing to take down Keith in training and he's just like "⁉️⁉️😳⁉️⁉️” God, I love a woman that can kick my ass trope *chokes*.

I am a sucker for hearing their voices and tone and emotions, so you know for damn well I am listening to them just say the others name in a soft or sarcastic tone lol (I love Steven Yeun's voice, my Glenn 😭, I am a mess for not appreciating Keith before in my initial watch of the show).

Ah, I can go on and off about them, especially about the later seasons but like you're just going to have to take a look of it yourself as you go into it 😌

Once again, I definitely recommend you watch the show for what it is in its storytelling and lore and character development; you can keep a close eyed view of Kidge in the background, but definitely rewind for the moments or stop and pause or rewind for the information given in story.

I hope you enjoyed my nonsense speak and take something away from it or ignore it altogether. I don't mind, I want you, overall, to convince yourself on why you would like to ship Kidge as you watch the show, if at all! We are all here for a fun and good time after the show's initial debut 😌🌿🔥

If you happend to check my bio you’d know that in addition to TMA i am also starting Voltron. Important things to note are:

1: I am on episode 7. Im still relatively new to this show but i really like it so far. Im honestly not really into the whole five lions make up a robot aspect but the characters and plot are cool.

2: I have read a concerning amount of fanfiction so i do know some spoilers. Even so I would appreciate if you guys didn’t spoil things for me.

3: Ill give yall updates when i finish each season. Keep in mind im slow at watching TV shows and listening to Podcasts.

So far I want to say that my favorite characters are, in this order, Kieth, Lance, and Pidge. Kieth is really pretty awesome, Lance is super funny, and Pidge is… well i liked pidge more before i found out she was a girl but she’s still a really interesting character (i like her robot, Rover).

Shiro is really cool to but he reminds me too much of Percy Jackson if he was combined with Jason Grace. Hunk is ok… he feels like a side character but hes a good side character.

Allura is alright and ngl i like her mice more than her. (I got a bad vibe from her when pidge tried to quit, she doesn’t realize theyre all just kids). Coran is also cool. “Weird Space Uncle” is what one fanfic called him and I agree.

The show is great and im super excited for more.

Welp. That was...something.

Obviously, major spoilers for the Good Omens Season 2 finale under the cut.

I'm disappointed and a bit depressed by the ending, but I have to admit that I'm not really surprised. Something about this season just felt...sad. i know a lot of people spent 5 episodes happily squeeing and then got gut-punched by the ending, but, to me at least, there wasn't the playfulness and levity of season 1 - not even in the happier/more comedic scenes. There was always a melancholy undercurrent: Nina's relationship isn't healthy, Maggie's interested in Nina but the timing is off, the flashbacks focus on the intense loneliness of Crowley and Aziraphale's existence throughout history, Aziraphale's terrified he's a bad angel and he's going to Fall, Crowley doesn't seem to have a clue what he's doing half of the time...Lots of focus on insecurity, unhealthy codependence, bad timing and sheer miscommunication.

That said, I got unpleasant "gotcha!" elements from the way thinga played out, and I hate it when the writers prioritise wrong-footing their audience over story flow - hated it in Voltron, hated it in Sherlock, hated it in the umpteen webcomics I used to read in the 2000s. I'm not going to call it baiting yet - this season was clearly made with one eye firmly on a potential S3 - but with all the publicity, the impression we're left with is "This is a love story! Look, see these two protagonists who adore each other and who you're so invested in? Surely it's time for them to move their relationship forward?PSYCHE! - they're separated, miserable and everything is terrible! See these cute new characters who are clearly a parallel to our heroes, the ones we've focused a lot on in the publicity? PSYCHE! - they were never going to happen, becaise we wanted to make a point about meddling in relationships and sensible time frames after a break up!" (Admittedly, while anvilicious, the moral here was definitely sensible). "Oh but the antagonists, the ones who tried to wipe our heroes from existence last season? THEY get the cute love story and happy ending!"

I admit, plenty of fans saw the Ineffable Bureaucracy coming a mile off. And many point out - quite correctly - that if GO is a three season show following the beats of a love story, this is the second act break-up. I also suspect that, with the signiicant overlap between GO and Our Flag Means Death, the fandom's rabid reaction to OMFD's romantic cliffhanger may have inspired the GO team to bank on a similar reaction to secure season 3...but OFMD is aiming to put its fandom out of its misery in about a year and a half from its angsty ending. Good Omens had a four year gap between S1 and S2. If it sticks with that, I suspect viewer apathy and/or disillusionment may set in before S3.

All in all, I personally feel like I'll be able to enjoy S2 fully only after S3 arrives (and provided it's not equally/more miserable). Which smarts a bit after being so delighted and wound up about Crowley and Aziraphale's return. A waste of anticipation, if you will.

One thing I will say though, is that I believe the kiss was deliberately bad. (If you want to see a kiss where the actors REALLY look like they're being held at gunpoint, have a look at Red Dwarf's Season 7 episode "Blue"). Crowley's furious and desperate and heartbroken - his kiss is aggressive and unforgiving. Aziraphale is miserable and guilty and totally blindsided - he has no clue what to do, alternating between wincing away and pulling Crowley close. I don't think this is an "the actors are finding this tremendously awkward" kiss - it's an "these two characters are in a terrible headspace and between them, have all the romantic experience of a particularly naive potato" kiss. If Season 3 turns things around, I would expect Kiss Number 2 to be even more epic and heartwarming as a result of contrasting iuth this car-crash lip-lock...as long as not too much time has passed between seasons.

I've spent the past week watching Voltron: Legendary Defender and I just finished season 7. I vaguely know how it ends from spoilers on my dash when the series ended but most of it is still a mystery so please don't spoil anything!!

Mostly, I'm just glad I waited until now to finish watching it. Back when it first came out, I kept up with it for the first 4 seasons. At that point the fandom just got too toxic and it seemed like all I would see about the show was complaining or about how "fans" were harrassing the family members of voice actors. So I dropped it. But watching it now after I've had time to let the old fandom expectations from 2016-2017 go, it is so good so far!!

Yes, I have some issues with the show. One being how overlooked Hunk was up until season 7. It's funny, the fandom (at least the part I was exposed to the most) really wanted to make Lance out to be the sad, overlooked and under appreciated paladin that was the butt of all of the jokes (and to a degree I can get behind that) but I feel like the writers treated Hunk that way throughout the first 6 seasons.

I'm just really glad I was about to watch it without seeing a bunch of negativity over little things or unmet fandom expectations. If you are thinking about watching it but have been holding off due to fandom drama or whatever, I highly recommend it. I'm not a fan of space shows usually but this one has kept me on the edge of my seat, especially throughout seasons 5-7. You should give it a shot. It's a fun series about space lions and it deserves some more love.

The Plan

Hey, yo, been a hot minute eh?

Me? Hyperfixations and work. Not Voltron related.

What IS Voltron related, however, is some ideas I've been having.

I still have all of my research notes from back during the binge sessions, as well as the timeline and canon event logs. Still waiting on the dvd release for seasons 7 and 8, but at this point, I'm just assuming that's not going to happen; which makes me sad because dvd releases would have more goodies to look through (And I like my dvd goodies)

So, what's The Plan?

I haven't gotten anything in a document yet, they're all still disjointed scenes floating around in my head. It's essentially a rewrite. A script, moreover, honouring the showrunner's ultimate decisions in the series and justifying them with character growth and development. With some notable changes. And some expanded explanations of included elements.

Zarkon still dies. The first time. The Robo-version is a corpse puppet.

Allura and Lance still end up together. And it's believable.

Shiro still retires. And gets together with whatshisbucket, but doesn't marry yet.

Keith still comes into his own as a leader.

Lance grows as a Second, and starts taking others, and himself, more seriously.

Pidge is still a gremlin and Hunk is still a cinnamon roll.

Some of the more notable changes I'm planning out are actually some of the more important instances of the series that I feel could have been handled much better than they had been.

Allura's apology, for one, is an actual apology; and is moved to much later in the series to after Shiro's disappearance. It's a quiet moment, with nothing on the line, and most importantly it's something she does on her own.

Keith's decision to leave Voltron to work with the Blades of Marmora is related to how weird Kuron is acting. Keith knows something is up, but he doesn't know what, but he DOES know that he's more likely to find out working with the Blades. The private conversation with Lance is still originally Lance wanting to give up being a Paladin, but becomes Keith revealing his suspicions and asking Lance to watch over everyone and keep them safe while he's gone.

The Zarkon Fight at the end of season one has more thematic appropriateness, added to later when the team is attempting to get back to earth as soon as possible and go one that "vision quest" to unlock ftl travel. The 'fight your predecessor' scenes are going to be added in as the Paladins are being submitted to a final trial before officially achieving full control of their lions.

Adding on to that, the fight at the end with Haggar is not a multiverse-traversing mess, but a "battle in the center of the mind" that ultimately ends with Allura sealing herself and Haggar together until one of them is defeated. This is done with the knowledge that, regardless of who wins, there's not really a way to escape.

Spoiler alert: Allura wins. And escapes. And finds her way to the Paladins somehow. How? Something something Altean Magic, idk.

The final change I wanted to talk about is at the very end of the series. When the Lions reactivate and leave the planet, the Paladins are piloting this time. This is to symbolize that, though the conflict is over, their job is still not done. They've earned their place as the Paladins of Voltron, and in doing so have vowed to defend the universe from any that wish to harm it's inhabitants.

So, it's a lot, right? It's a lot.

I make no promises if or when anything will be written, but after seeing the reblog about how quickly it came and went, it makes a little more sense why things were the way they were and it continues to leave a bad taste in my mouth to know that. So I wanted to share the plans I've been very slowly chipping away at for a while now. I've got enough on my plate between work, my comic, my other fics, and commissions, that Voltron hasn't really been a priority.

I'll try to start writing things down and post snippets now and then, but do bear in mind that this isn't a full fic, or a narrative, or a webcomic. It's a script. Written with the full intention of taking pre-existing clips and rearranging them to match. Complete with scene calls, expression and read notations, and a sound track.

So forgive me for being reluctant to want to dive right in
