Idk if this’ll help anyone or if these are even good… just thought of stuff self shipper could do, I guess.

Anywho, here’s a list of things yo,u as a self shipper, can do for fun.

(This will be added onto with time)

Proship/Comship/Anti-Antis DNI

Play Tomodachi Life, make yourself, your main F/O, and then a bunch of family and friends and see how the shenanigans play out.

Play Sims (my choice is 4, but any one will work), same as before but this time you have mods and can control you and your F/O’s however you please.

Make kandi jewelry for each of your F/O’s, whether it’s a bracelet with their name or just a necklace with a color scheme you think fits them.

Purchase something custom from etsy and/or fiverr. These can be care packages, letters, plushies, art pieces, fanfics, maybe you could find someone who does RP asmrs, and my personal favorites an RP or an annotated book.

Look on youtube for asmrs, whether they’re RP, sleeping beside or those muffled playlist scenarios.

For those of is that are age regressor, make a custom deco paci based on your F/O.

Credits to @myselfshipdiary for this one, make a Pinterest board. They can feature fanart, aesthetic images or heck maybe recipes you would cook for them and memes you would show them.

If you have the skills, or heck even if you don’t (life’s too short, try everything, learn new skills), design something based on them. A dress, a cake, a room, a candy platter, a party, an outfit, a plushie, literally anything!

Make a breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner you think they would like! Maybe if you bring your lunch to work, make a bento for yourself that you would send to work with them.

Go on to your online shopping sites and make wishlists of thing you’d think they would want/like.

Do some research on perfume/cologne, and either track down or commission one you think they’d wear. You can do the same for all necessary toiletries if you’d like to take it a step further.

Play around on spotify (or your music service of choice) and make playlists for various scenarios.

Piggybacking of the last one, find a song that you would make their ringtone and think of what their contact name would be in your phone.

Pick out a ring you think would be the engagement/wedding ring they would give you.

Make paper doll's of you/ your self insert and your f/os) along with attachable paper clothes!

If you have access to a printer and a blank notebook/sketchbook along with some glue, you can make a scrapbook with pictures of your f/o(s)! You can also add drawings you made and anything like stickers, washi tape, etc.

This one is digital, edit a transparent of your f/os) into a selfie of yours to make a couples photo! You can print it out and put it in a frame. Also, Dollar Tree sells frames that you can also paint, put stickers on, anything!

There is an app called Social Dummy, create a social media world with you and all your F/O’s on it!

Make perler bead pixel art of your f/o.

The Dragon Prince: Season 7

Warning, everything below this point will contain spoilers, do not read if you haven't seen the entirety of Season 7!

Also, this is an Aaravos-centric post, so if you're not a fan of that character, uhhh... You may be on the wrong blog. XD (Kidding, everyone is welcome here.)

God, I have been waiting for this day for about the same amount of time Aaravos has been imprisoned and I am... conflicted about the ending.

Don't get me wrong, it was an amazing season with wonderful storytelling and heartstopping moments, but it felt like a cliffhanger to me, and left far too many questions unanswered. Of course, first I want to breathe a sigh of relief that Aaravos isn't gone forever, I can't deal with another Voltron moment on my hands here, but still... what now?

I was planning to start writing my fanfiction the MOMENT the seasons came to a close, but now I'm wondering if there will be more, or a new series to finalize the plot. I'm stuck on whether I should continue to wait and build my ideas, or if I should start writing, and perhaps rewrite IF a new series/season is announced.

Not only that but there's so many things I don't know. What exactly happened in the last battle that left Aaravos imprisoned? Just what is the Cosmic Order or the elves in charge actually planning (I'm sorry, I refuse to believe the 'wise' council didn't see any of this happening,) and what will become of our favourite Startouch titan if another battle commences?

So yeah, loved the newest season, but GOD I hate cliffhangers. XD

I'll probably write my story now, and release One-shots showing what might have happened had the plot continued into the 'potentially new' season/series. But I'm not 100% sure yet.

my favorite thing about writers interpretations of johnny and simon being freaks who bully their way into your life is that I love the variety in it.

Like yes there are some community agreed staples that tend to track regardless, but I love how in character two wildly conflicting points of view are.

Like yes, Simon is absolutely the type of person to wage a psychotic fucking war against his point of interest to the point that, despite his uncanny behavior at times, reader can solidly write him off as just kind of a loser until he masterminds his way into being a permanent fixture in their life and they dont realize ever or until the trap is so solidly snared around them that its inescapable. And yes he's ALSO the type to so stubbornly butt his way into that same life just because he decides he can! Theres no convincing of anyone, not even himself, he just walks up, throws you over his shoulder and caveman style calls it his. I like it, its mine, no i dont care.

Whereas Johnny you see the same thing in a different shape- a Soap so willing to keep his prize that he'll bumble his way into your routine like its an accident, all charm and smiles despite the times he gets a little forceful or creepy, but is so patient and willing to get what he wants that he'll play any angle he can to get it. Your best friend? sure! your cool coworker? absolutely! The neighbor who you can rely on day or night in an emergency? on it! And then you also see a Johnny who refuses to wait, refuses to heel, refuses to wait. He'll kiss you sloppy in front of the whole supermarket just so nobody tries anything but his image is so naturally good you cant do SHIT about it. An unrelenting force that will get what he wants and is, while not willing to wait, willing to "clear the way" for you. Almost like he's fine running ahead because youll get there eventually on rhe railroads he's putting down.

Thoughts of an aroace shipper and selfshipper:

As someone who’s aroace but also comfortable with attraction when it comes to fiction, I honestly feel confused about the whole shipping discourse when it comes to any aroace character that’s on the spectrum. Because, personally, as an aroace, I don’t mind people shipping aroace characters for fun, as long as they’re respectful of their canon identity. Plus, when it comes to fan creations and such, it’s not canon in the first place. At the same time, I understand the frustration with people who don’t want aroace characters to be shipped and feel like it’s erasing aroace spectrum rep. When it comes to the whole “erasing rep” part, it gets muddy and complicated when you’re referring to the whole spectrum.

Although, I do have one thing I’d like to discuss about the whole representation part. When it comes to fandom, people ignore all types of identities and ship what they want. Again, I’m only cool with it as long as the individual isn’t acting like it’s canon canon. That and it’s up to the creator and what they feel comfortable with. If they don’t want their character to be shipped, cool. If they don’t mind their character being shipped, cool.

Then things get a bit more nuanced and somewhat “confusing.” At the same time, shipping characters can help someone figure their own identity. I would’ve never understand that I experience queerplatonic attraction if it weren’t for shipping. I often (unintentionally) put myself in stereotypical black and white boxes. I mean, I thought I wasn’t aroace because of the one and only time I did feel attraction. Later on, I realized my aroace identity is very complicated but I know for a fact that I’m pretty “far down” the end of the spectrum.

Also, specifically, when it comes to OC x canon ships and self inserts of the sort…personally, do whatever you want. It’s for you right? And you just want to have fun. I repeat, as long as you aren’t acting like your ships are canon and recognize the character’s actual identity, I personally think it’s fine.

While these may be my personal beliefs, I also understand the lack of representation. But again, I feel like most aroace representation is lacking no matter what part of the spectrum you’re on. That and while people are going to do what they want anyways on the internet, at the same time, people also need to be respectful of other people’s characters that they don’t own.

Then you have people who can be aroace and fictsexual. Again, if the creator of a character is comfortable with their character being shipped and the person who’s shipping that character acknowledges the character’s canon identity, I think it’s fine for fictiosexuals to do what they want.

Again, this is my personal opinion and I obviously don’t speak for everyone on the aroace spectrum. I just wanted to talk about this and explore this topic.

Anyways, this isn’t as important but I’ll put my further two cents here.

Take me for example. I selfship with Alastor in 2 ways. When it comes to my OC, canonically my OC is aroace as well, and in a QPR. But I also put Alastor in the romantic category. Why? Because I also enjoy writing my oc in romantic situations and I’m lowkey poking fun at myself. It’s for me and it’s purely because I find it fun and well, funny at the same time. Also, I put a tag for it if anyone doesn’t want to deal with seeing that stuff.

Further more, despite my own confusion when it comes to identifying any emotion I feel (I’m sure neurodivergency has a role in that), I also like exploring a range of emotions in what I create because it’s all fictional. It’s not real.

Furthermore, after finding out about what a QPR is, I finally had the words to correctly convey and label my self ships into.

Overall, it also can be cathartic. What if someone is cupioromantic and one way they cope is with shipping/selfshipping? Besides the self shipping, fans like to project parts of themselves onto characters. (I repeat, the ones who are just having fun but also are respectful) I’ve also seen non-aroace people wanting to explore how to write aroace identities as well. As long as they do the research and are respectful, go ahead! If you’re writing an aroace character for the first time, you’re not going to be perfect and that’s okay. Now, obviously, I’m not saying it’s okay to write harmful stereotypes of aroace people.

Shipping can be useful in exposing new identities that some people may not know have/have enough knowledge on. It can also broaden one’s perspective as some people may not understand that being aroace is a spectrum, can fluctuate, and isn’t all black and white.

But yeah. I’d like to hear your thoughts on the matter.

I Have an IDEA!!

This is another 'The Dragon Prince' post that involves spoilers, so please keep that in mind. It doesn't just involve spoilers for the series, but for the character I'm working on.

I am so curious about what you guys think!

Okay, so as we know, Leola was killed because the Great Ones followed the Cosmic Order, and she broke it unknowingly. It never sat right with me that during all these centuries, they sat idly by and watched as Aaravos tried to break the order and they did nothing to stop him.

So I have a theory, and I'm thinking of adding it to my story.

Here's the overview of my idea, which again contains spoilers.

In my personal opinion, if the Cosmic Order showed all paths and all outcomes towards many great prophecies, how come they didn't foresee Aaravos attempting to avenge his child, or put a stop to it for the sake of their precious Order?

I think the Cosmic Order foresaw this exact thing happening, they knew Aaravos would attempt to avenge his daughter, and in their cruel, cunning ways, they orchestrated his path to align with the Order's foretellings exactly. They used him to keep their precious work going and to grant the humans the knowledge of their existence, so that they can appear in the time of eternal night and save the world from its fate, then rule over all using the Cosmic Order as their moral compass to separate right and wrong.

However, what they didn't want others to know, was that their first order of business was to kill every human who knew magic, ridding the world of the pollution Aaravos had spread across the lands. Then Aaravos would be apprehended and sentenced to the same punishment as his daughter for his 'attempts' at treason. Once their greatest threat was gone, they could continue their work, knowing full well they would be feared for their methods, allowing them to pull the strings of the universe to follow their precious order to the letter.

Only one of the Great Ones disagrees with this plan, knowing that killing an innocent child was the last straw, pushing them from merciful to cruel. When her attempts at stopping the twisted plans fail, The Merciful One will seek out a human hybrid, an anomaly unforseen in the Cosmic Order to aid her in stopping this madness once and for all.

Together with the Fallen Star, and the combined forces of the humans, elves and dragons, they will fight the Great Ones on the ashes of Lux Aurea and the Startouch shall fall, destroying the crumbling city in their final light.

This was not foretold in the Cosmic Order, and with its passing, that Order will crumble along with the dust of the fallen city and its final soldiers who sacrificed their lives to release the world from an ancient evil.

Ta-dah!

There are more smaller details in my idea that I don't want to discuss because it would definitely spoil the story, but I'm thinking it'd be a pretty cool ending, since we don't know if or when TDP will get a season 8 or a new series.

I'd love some actual feedback too, so I really appreciate notes for this, not just likes. I'm hoping to find people I can brainstorm with to make this idea more fleshed out and interesting!
