I've had tumblr for awhile now, but only recently came out of lurking to start trying to post stuff & interact w/ ppl. Which, even if there hasn't been much direct/personal interaction, I think has been a success! I've found a good couple of lovely people on here & hope not to scare 'em off lol. Honestly, I've been trying to put myself out there more in general- which has been less succesful irl, but oh well.

So, here's to a new year of continuing my attempts & also dropping the Fuck out of my Ap Sem class !!<3

My gravity falls oc lore

I wanted to make a post with a summary of Layla vixen’s backstory so people can actually understand the story instead of just pieces it together through drawings!

Also I do not own the book of bill or have everything in canon memorized so if any of this seems in ooc for the characters then I apologize this is just a story I’ve been making for a while and I wanted to share it

Backstory

So Layla vixen is the youngest in a set of triplets

(Oldest is Valarie, middle kid is Melony, Then youngest is Layla)

They were born in Louisiana to Rory vixen and Francesca vixen.

Layla grew up basically an outcast from day one. Her family wasn’t very well liked for multiple reasons. First off she’s very passionate about science and nature to an obnoxious degree(to most people). Her father is a taxidermist so that also scares many people away. She only has one friend growing up (not counting family members) that she slowly grows distant from.

When she meets ford and fiddleford

Layla meets them both in college. She quickly becomes friends with fiddleford because of shared interests(his basically her best and only friend). She knows of Stanford and they will have conversations from time to time but she wouldn’t have described them as close. That is until ford invited her to help research gravity falls.

Side tangent: the reason why ford asks specifically Layla to help him because in college she is a zoology major. I always thought ford had more of a love of math then actual nature so someone with a background in a more “biological” field of science might be useful in studying anomalies

So basically Layla comes and lives with ford to do research. She comes pre-bill.

In this au ford still meets bill but instead of bill just ‘mentoring’ ford he also takes an interest in Layla.

Layla has a basically an inferiority complex. She thinks no matter how smart she might be people will not take her accomplishments seriously.

That’s where bill comes in. He sees that she wants to basically prove her naysayers wrong and he tells her that he will help her do that.

He knows that she can be ruthless and take revenge if she wanted to be so he’s trying to push her to take revenge by making a deal with him.

She’s not as willing to give into bill’s flattery though but she doesn’t put her foot down either. So by the time ford invites fiddleford to help them build the portal she’s basically complacent and keeps her mouth shut.

The three build the portal and the same events happen. Layla gets really angry bill tricked them. ford basically makes her leave for her own safety and because she’s fed up with this whole situation.

She only comes back when she sees that someone(Stan) has taken ford’s identity and made the “murder hut”.

She confronts him then her and Stan make a deal to remake the portal. So her and Stan become roommates and try and get ford back!

(This is her entire backstory but extremely simplified! I might expand on it later but here it is for reference! If you guys have any questions or anything feel free to ask away!)
