PERSONAL NARRATIVE

A MEMORABLE TEACHER

Our teacher is our second mother or father inside the classroom. They teaches us different things that we are going to use for our entire life. There are different kinds of teachers there is a strict teacher, a serious teacher, and a teacher who is like a friend. They might be differences about their approach to every students but I know all of them want us to be a good person.

All through out my elementary days up until my junior high school days I met different kinds of teachers and all of them create a big impact on my life. Some of them changed my perspective in life, some of them taught me the reality of life and some of them made me believe to my self that I can do anything. Our teacher is really our hero without them we probably wasting our time on the internet or in doing something that might destroy us. All of my teachers has a big contribution in mu life they are one of the reason why I am still here and why I am still fighting for my dreams because they believe in me.

But there is this one teacher that has a really big impact not only in me but to my classmates and to her other students as well. I am really blessed that she is my adviser because she taught me more than just what I expected because of her I realized what I really want to be in the future. She is also the reason why me and my classmates develops our self confidence.

Ms. Jasmin Pakingan is the most memorable teacher I ever met in my entire life she is really passionate in teaching that is why it is not hard for us to understand her lesson. She is really amazing every time we had a discussion in her subjects because she really knows what she is talking about. I also like her activities because her activities develops my confidence she is really the best teacher I ever had. Aside from developing my self confidence she also helped me to find what is my purpose in life she made me realized what is the best for. She really has a big impact I mu life because of her I already know what is the path that I am going to take in my college life.

Before I really want to be a news presenter or a news anchor because I find this job exciting and I also want to give people the true information that they have to know but then when she became my teacher and I saw how passionate Ms. Jasmin in teaching I realized to my self that someday I like to be like her, someday I also want to help other people to find their purpose in life just like what she did to me that is why I decided to pursue a teaching profession in college. Because of her I realized that I want to be teacher and just like her I also want to create a big impact to my students and help them as well to find what is their true purpose in life.

I thought I am already sure to my self and to the path that I am going to take but then I met this memorable teacher that made me realized what I really want to be in my life. I am very thankful to her because without her I probably taking a wrong path towards my college life. I am very blessed to be one of her student. I will forever treasure all the things that she taught me and I promise that someday I will also help my students to find their purpose in life.

ARE YOU GOING TO CONFESS YOUR TRUE FEELINGS TO YOUR FRIEND?

Telling or confessing your true feeling is I guess one of the most difficult things to do. You do not even know what will happen next when you confess your true feelings for someone. There are possibility that he or she feels the same and there is also a possibility that no and if no he or she might avoid you. I know that as a human being it is normal for us to have romantic attraction towards other people especially on our age and just like what I have said it is hard to confess your true feelings for someone and what more if you fell in love with your friend are you going to take the risk and confess your true feelings or you will just stay quiet and keep it on your own? I know that all of us have different perspective some us might say that you have to confess your feeling while others will say that just keep it to yourself.

Not all of us has the courage to tell our true feeling for someone but if I am in that situation where I fell in love with my friend and I have to choose between confessing my true feeling for her or I will keep it on my own. I will just stay quiet and keep it on my own. I know that we only live once and we have to take or to grab every opportunity that God has given us but for me I will just stay quiet and I will never confess my true feelings for my friend I will not take the risk because I do not want to lose our friendship for me the friendship is more important than the relationship you want to have with her.

If this thing will happen to me I will be contented with the relationship that we have. What is important is I am able to be with her and were happy as friends I don't need to have or take our relationship to higher level. Another reason why I will just keep my feeling on my own is because sometimes we just get excited sometimes we feel like we like the person even though we are not. It just that we are always together that is why sometimes we feel like we are attracted to one person but when the moment come where you have to separate and you don't able to see her for a while you will realized to yourself that you just got excited you don't have feelings for her.

If you fell in love with your friend or to your best friend just keep it to your self because if you keep to your self you because if you confess it you might loss him or her you might loss the friendship the you build with him or her . Just be happy and contented to the relationship that you have with him or her because friendship is more important.

FACIAL RECOGNITION

I know that we have different definition of beauty. Some of us focus on the physical aspect and some us focuses on the attitude. But I just want to say that all the girls all across the universe is beautiful regardless of her skin color, hair race, size or what so ever I believed that all of God's creation is beautiful and all of you are worth it.

This is Anajane Marie Silvestre and she is my classmate the moment I saw her I am already attracted to her eyes because of it's color it like a chocolate brown which compliments her skin complexion. Another thing that is also attractive to her is her smile. As you can see in the picture she has a very lovely smile a smile that is very genuine you can her in her smile that she is really happy. We all know that it is easy for us especially to women to fake a smile but in Anajane's smile I can feel that she is really happy. Another thing that makes her smile attractive is her pearly white teeth which make her smile more lovely.

I am also attracted to her eyebrows and eye lashes because we all know that in modern times a lot of girls always use make up to enhance their eye brows and eye lashes as well but she is different her eye brows and eye lashes us naturally beautiful I like her eye brows because it is thick and her eye lashes as well because it is long which I find really to attractive to woman. I find her cheek bone attractive as well because it looks like buns which makes her cute and her lips as well because it is naturally red and really kissable. All in all I can say that Anajane Marie is beautiful because she has a talkative eyes, a beautiful smile and a cute cheek bone. But I believe that the physical beauty fades what important is the attitude always remember that look is just a bonus attitude is a must, let's focus more on what on the inside rather than the outside.

REACTION TO PERSONAL NARRATIVE

There are times that our faith to God will be tested just like what happened to my classmate Patricia Navarro her faith was being test when the baby on her mother's womb died after a few months. That time she felt like it her fault why her mother has a miscarriage but then she remained strong and instead she make her faith God stronger.

Based on her personal narrative I can say that miracles do happen because Patricia was able to experience it. After her mother had a miscarriage she think that her mother will never get pregnant again but then she was wrong after a long wait her mother got pregnant once again and guess what her mother gave birth to her youngest brother on December 25 which is also the birthday of Jesus Christ that is why her mother decided to named her youngest brother Christian because he was born on December 25.

Sometimes we think that life is hard that life is full of challenges. Sometimes we also think that we can't overcome those challenges but at the end of the day we still find ourselves fighting and still believing to God's power. With Go nothing is impossible with Him all the thing are possible as long as we believe. Sometimes God does not give us what we ask before He has something better for us just like what happened to Patricia her mother got pregnant and Patricia was really happy that time and she feel like her prayer has been answered by God but then suddenly her mother had a miscarriage but just like what I have said miracles do really happen her mother got pregnant once again and this time it is a safe pregnancy her mother was able to gave birth to her baby brother and right now she is very happy now.

At life there is a moment that we are going to feel like we lost but I know that God will always help us to start over again. I know that every challenge that He give to us will help us to stronger those challenges will also help us to have a stronger faith to him. I believe that God will not give us a challenge we cannot overcome we might fail we might loss but at the end of the day you will realized that even though you loss it is still worth it because you learn something and it makes you faith to God stronger. In life we might lose something or someone maybe because he or she is not meant to be with us but what important is even though they are not with us anymore their memories still remains in our hearts. Let us always remember that every time we loss something or someone there will be always something new to come and I am sure that it will be better than to what we have loss. Do not underestimate the power of God because with Him of the things are possible He can make the impossible possible just put all your trust to Him and I know you will get what you deserve.

LITERARY JOURNALISM

SOGIE Bill or the Sexual Orientation Gender Identity Equality bill is a bill that aims to protect the members of the LGBT from any type of discrimination regarding about their gender identity This is one the hottest issue that our country is facing right now especially when Gretchen Diez a transgender woman was not able to use a comfort room for girls after she was suppressed by the janitress to use the comfort room some people say that what the janitress have done is right because they believe that Gretchen Diez is a man and he should use a comfort room for males while other people say that it is a discrimination not only to the person involve but to the whole LGBT community. But the question is do we need this kind of law do we need to approve this SOGIE Bill?. A lot of people does not know what is the true meaning of SOGIE they probably know the terms but they don't know the true meaning behind those words.

Sexual orientation is to whom you have a romantic feelings and you can be classified here as a heterosexual these are the person who is attracted to opposite sex like for example a man having a romantic feelings for a girl or vice versa. You can also be classified as homosexual when you have a romantic attraction towards the person who have the same sex as you. You can be pansexual as well these are the person that is attracted to all types of gender. This is the opposite of asexual because asexual person are those who don't have romantic attraction to any types of gender.

Gender identity is how you identify yourself regardless of your sexual orientation you can be a female or male if you think that this is the assigned gender to you when your mother give birth to you. You can also identify your self as transgender specifically as transwoman or a transman if you feel like the your true identity is different from the one that was assigned to you at birth. In other words you are the one who identify yourself.

Gender expression is different from the sexual orientation and identity. Gender expression is how you express yourself toward other people. This is how you show your gender by the way you act the you talk the way you move and how you dress as well.

REFLECTIVE RSSAY

“DON'T WASTE YOUR LIFE BACAUSE YOUR LIFE MATTER”

“Don't Waste Your Life Because Your Life Matters” these are the words that really captures not only my mind but my heart as well. Last February 4 2020 my school hosted a small program or a symposium about drug prevention at first I thought that it will be just a simple talk about drug prevention but I was wrong I did not expect that I will learn something more than just what I am expecting. I thought the speaker will only teach us about the effects of illegal drugs to our body or maybe about the consequences we might face if we use it but then I was wrong they taught me more than just what I am expecting.

Depression is one of the major issues we are facing right now and it is more relevant to youths. Some people think that depression is just in the mind of the person and sometimes labeled as sadness but not depression is a serious matter and needed a professional treatment. Many people especially teenagers that suffers from depression usually end their lives by committing suicide they end their lives by cutting, drowning, hanging, drinking chemicals and many more. It is really sad that they are not able to win the battle they are in. But what is the reason why a lot of people suffering from depression wants to end their lives? It is because they don't know what is their purpose in this world, they don't know that their lives matters.

“Don’t waste your life because your life matters” this tagline really catches my heart because of this I realized that I am not in this world for nothing I am here because I have a purpose. Ate Krizzia one the speakers in the symposium said that it is easy for people to end their lives because they don't know what is their purpose in this world and I think it is true. All of us has a purpose every single breath we take has a purpose, our suffering has a purpose and I know that those sufferings or the challenges we are facing right now will lead us to our purpose in life.

Finding our purpose in our life is not easy we are going to face a lot of challenges, we are going to sacrifice something but I know that in the end it will be all worth it. In life we are going to fall a lot of times but it does not matter how many times you fall what matter is how many times you stand up and continue to find your purpose in life. Don't end your life just because you were not able to find your purpose maybe it is not your time yet. I believe that all of us is a caterpillar waiting for our time to become a butterfly. We might be crawling today but I know that someday we are going to find our purpose and we are going to spread our wings.

Let's not waste our life, our life matters and we have a purpose why we are still breathing and facing all of these challenges. This symposium made me realized that I can help someone to find their purpose in life. We might have differences, we might have different beliefs or different perspective in life but it does not matter we can still help one another to find their purpose in their life. It might be hard but then again when the time is right you are going to find your purpose and all of your sacrifices will be worth it.

TRAVELOGUE

I have a lot of memorable experiences in my whole existence in this world. But in this travelogue I want to share my memorable experience that just happened last week and this memorable experience is my work immersion or on the job training at Westhill International School. I had a lot of good experiences during my work immersion. My first memorable experience is when I experienced to be a librarian and I can tell that being a librarian is not easy. Being a librarian I experienced how to carry a lot of books and arranged them according to subjects or according to the grade level. I also experienced to put a code to a more than 500 books. Being on work immersion is hard but it also full of enjoyment and learnings. During my work immersion I realized that time is really important especially when you are on your work because you must finish the task or the work that was assigned to you and I guess that realization will help me someday when I already work. Now my second most memorable experienced during my on the job training is when I become as a teacher aide during the annual camp at Westhill International School. In that camp I experienced how to handle kids with different personalities some children are naughty some of them are good at dancing and some of them are good in arts and singing but all them are nice and really genuine. During the camp I experienced how to be a teacher and how to be parent for a day. I teach them how to create a mask for themselves. But for me the most memorable experienced that I gained during that camping is when I changed their clothes with their sleeping attire I also brush their teeth, help them to comb their hair, tie their shoes, and feed them that was really amazing because I experienced how to be a father even for a day and when the day come that I will be a father I already know what to do to my children. So my third most memorable experienced during my work immersion is when my immersion batch mates and I were able to have a small conversation with the directress of Westhill International School and that is Ms. Im she is a Korean and even though we only talked a little with her I learned a lot during that conversation because Ms. Im shared to us some of her motivational words or words of wisdom that is really helpful. Her first word of wisdom for us is "Don't study for yourself, study for other people" at first i was confused by when she explained it I know that she is right. We should not study for ourselves we should study for others because our purpose why we study is to serve our country and our fellow Filipino in the future and now I used it as a motivation to finish my studies. She also that we should not follow money because if we follow money, money will run away. Instead of following money she said we must do a hard work because if we do hard work money will come on our way and I also used it as my motivation in my life. So my work immersion at Westhill International School really gave me a lot of memorable experiences and learnings and if I had a chance or opportunity to go back there and work for them again I grab it because I know that I will learn more on that place.

Friends For Life

Biography

I have a girl best friend and her name is Ricca Tagle the first time that we met each other she is only 7 years old and now she is already 17 years old. Her birthday is on June 19 2002 and she lives in Reggata West Subdivision Bukandala. She is now a grade 12 student taking up Accountancy Business and Management or ABM at Lyceum of the Philippines University. We are classmates when we were in grade 2 and then grade 3 we became classmates once again and after that we became classmates once again in grade 4 and that is the time that our friendship became stronger we started calling each other "bes" short for best friend. But when we were on grade 5 and grade 6 we were not classmates anymore but nothing changed we remain as best friends we still talked to each other every time we see each other. Honestly at first I don't really like her because she look like a spoiled brat but then I was wrong. Before our elementary graduation we made a promise and that promise is not change even though we will study on different school. But after we graduated on elementary a lot of things changed. She studied on Del Pilar Academy when she in junior high school and because we are not on the same school anymore we don't usually see each other. Actually we are not able to see each other like for 3 years. Up until June 19 2017 it is her 15th birthday. I suddenly received a chat from her and she is inviting me for her birthday that time I am really happy because she didn't forget about me. I am really excited that time because we will see each other again and on it is on her special day. I came to her house and I hug her very tight and greet her happy birthday we both have a lot of stories to share on each other. During our talk I said to her that we should see each other more often and then we made a promise once again. We said to each other that even though we are not classmates and we are not on the same school anymore we will stay as best friend and promised to have a time for each other. And this time we are able to do it she is now studying at LPU but we still managed to see each other like twice or thrice a month. Now we are on our 10th year as best friends and we are about to enter our college life as well and again we made a promise to each other that we will pursue our dreams together me as a teacher and she as a accountant. We also promise that we will continue our friendship up until the time that we already have our own family.

I am Alvin Magno and I was born on November 18 2000 and I am 19 years old I live in 143 Bayanluma I City of Imus, Cavite. I have 3 siblings 1 brother and 2 sisters my mother's name is Marites Magno and my father is Loreto Romero. I am currently a grade 12 student at General Pantaleon Garcia Senior High taking up Humanities and Social Sciences so I take up this strand because I know that this strand will help me in many aspects like to build up my confidence because being a HUMSS student takes a lot of confidence because you have to speak in front of many people. Aside from this reason I also take this strand because in college I want to take education as my course in college because I really want to be a teacher someday. My influences why I want to become a teacher are my teachers during junior high school and my teachers right now. Before I really want to become a lawyer or news broadcaster. I want to be a lawyer before because the justice here in the Philippines is only made for the elites and I want to change that someday I want the justice to be serve for all the people. I also want to be a news broadcaster before because I really admire many news broadcaster here in the country like Atom Araullo, Mike Enriquez and many more I am really amazed every time I watch them on television doing their jobs. But all of that changes when I transfer at Gen. Pantaleon now I really want to be a teacher because of my teachers because every time I saw them teach every students every time I saw how passionate they are in doing their work I said to myself that someday I want to be like them and I will be like them someday that is why I am doing my best to achieved it I study hard and work hard to get good grades. I know that in college is not going to be easy I know that that I will struggle a lot and will face more difficult challenges but I also know that all of those challenges that I'm about to face will give no more lesson that I can use in my everyday life it will also give me the strength and inspiration to pursue my dreams. So now let's go to my hobbies my first hobby is I like to eat it's very obvious because I am kind of heavy when you see me in person I also love to cook especially for my family. Aside from these I also like to watch and play volleyball actually I am currently part of a team and I am their team libero. Being an athlete is both hard and fulfilling. It is hard because of the training like every day we have training and it's hard because we do a lot of ball drills but even though the training is hard it is also fulfilling every time we play a game even though we lost it is still fulfilling because all of us learned something new. Every time we lost all of us are eager to perform well on the next game. Being a volleyball player I realized that in every competition there are only two options it us either you win or you learn you only lost when you allow your losses to discourage you to continue pursuing your goals or your dreams. Aside from volleyball I also like to watch wrestling matches even though I know that it is fake but I find really entertaining especially with their moves inside the ring. So my philosophy in life is "Learning To Love Yourself Is The Greatest Love Of All" this is my philosophy in life because we people must learn how to love ourselves first before anyone else because how can other people love us if we don't know how to do it to on our own. If we don't know how to love ourselves then we don't deserve to be loved by other people. So love your flaws and imperfections so that it will be easy for others to love you.
