My personal and emotional opinion of the first episode of Boku No Hero Vigilantes as someone who has read the finished manga: 8/10

Opening: Amazing, the song fits and all, BUT WHAT THE FUCK THE MANGA HAS 126 CHAPTERS AND THEY WILL ANIMATE AT LEAST CLOSE TO CHAPTER 58???? It should be 24 long season one and 24 long season two at least, I BEG because it wouldn't make sense at all???

Ending: Adorable, sweet, showing the characters in their more vulnerable moments, showing future moments we'll see in the anime

Episode: The lore is going amazing BUT things changed without spoilers:

They made Izuku's mom thinner???? Idk how to say it in English

They skipped TWO scenes that the police appears, one not important, one that affects the interaction with Pop Step and Gentle-man (oh right in the anime is Nice-man) but the slight change is weird, yet the interaction still makes sense

They changed the order of the events that appear according to the manga, the man in the shadows (the appearance was changed BUT IT MAKES SENSE LATER) stuff in a way that is still easy to understand what is going on, maybe easier to understand in comparison to the manga

There are multiple scenes that are a copy paste of the manga AND IT IS AMAZING like Knuckledister scenes, faces that Koichi does and etc

Ah yeah they changed the beginning of the anime A LITTLE BIT but it doesn't affect at all what is going on, since it begins with a flashforward of something we'll see in episode 2 + a marketing episode 0 of the manga with All Might and Eraserhead teaching class 1-A what's a vigilante, but everything isn't too bad

I’m still struggling to believe that I actually get to see the Vigilantes crew animated—first episode looked god damned great and I had to sneak out a lunch Crawler doodle. Please everyone watch this so it does well and I get Koichi and Knuckleduster toys.

Ahh, I was so excited when I saw her (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) I do remember that scene in the manga clearly, because I remember how surprised I was to see her!

Ok! Just watched the first episode!

I noticed they've reused a couple of the original soundtracks from MHA! Specifically, these ones:

The art style is very clean! A lot different from MHA, yet it shares similar qualities every now and then. I would say the most noticeable differences are All Might, the way all the women are drawn, and the eyes

They've put a ton of detail into drawing the backgrounds!

Deku narrates! I don't know if this is just for the first episode or if it'll be like this the whole time

Mic still narrates the quirk introductions! Nice to see you again!

Very comic themed! Little sound effects from the manga (such as "Munch" when eating) float around every now and then. It's a fever central theme

It's nice seeing everyone in color! I half expected the spiky guy' hair to be red - I don't know why. It's like a teal

Not a lot of variety in the background characters like MHA unfortunately

If you've read the manga, look closely and you'll be able to see tons of foreshadowing! It's all over! Especially in the ending

The opening is great! Very very different from the original MHA openings, is similar to the style that's Dandadan's opening I'd say

I like the little sound Koichi's quirk makes when activated ⁠(⁠๑⁠¯⁠◡⁠¯⁠๑⁠)

Aizawa appeared for a brief second in the end! They left it on a cliffhanger though so we'll definitely see him again next episode

Overall I'm super excited to see how it goes! It's so cool seeing them in color and moving around! (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

DP x DC: The Dead Man at the Diner

Danny has a hard time maintaining regular jobs. At this point he’s pretty much nocturnal after years of being attacked at night, and possibly just part of his ghostly nature. He’s odd, and a basic google search brings up various news articles about him getting into fist fights with the mayor of a small town. He barely passed high school and college was out of the question, so who in their right mind would hire him?

What’s a job that would work with his odd hours, doesn’t require a college education, and a possible criminal record and a tendency to be ready to throw down is NOT an issue?

Danny is a cook at a 24hour Diner in Gotham

The man just needs to be able to flip a burger and make breakfast food and doesn’t mind a gun in the face because he’s well used to it. So what if the robber was dumb enough to pull that shit next to the fryer. If he didn’t want something to end up extra crispy he should have stayed out of Danny’s kitchen

Just think of all the folks he would meet.

Sure, the vigilantes of the city would be obvious and you can’t tell me spoiler isn’t dragging folks there to eat. Maybe they notice some weird things about the cook, like he doesn’t breath, his eyes reflect light like an animal’s, or the time he accidentally cut off a finger and it was fine the next day, or maybe the time a robber shot him and he just... didn’t react

Something is weird about that guy

And of course the person I think would love a jersey style diner breakfast at all hours: Harley Quinn

Technically she’s not supposed to bring the hyenas in, health code and all that, but everyone else is to freaked out to tell her and Danny doesn’t care. Frankly he spends his break petting them and they like him because he smells like food.
