Kalevala kysymys: Vajosiko Joukahainen suohon talvella vai kesällä?

Runossa mainitaan reki. Eiks reki kulje vaan lumella?

"Säret länget länkäpuiset, vesapuiset vempelehet, korjani pilastehiksi, rämäksi re'en retukan!"

Mainitaan lumi:

"Siellä silma lauletahan, lauletahan, lausitahan

suin lumehen, päin vitihin, kourin ilmahan kovahan,”

Sit mainitaan myös kintaat, jotka muuttuu lumpeiksi. "Lakin lauloi miehen päästä pilven pystypää kokaksi; lauloi kintahat käestä umpilammin lumpehiksi"

Mainitaan suo ja niitty:

”Itsen lauloi Joukahaisen: lauloi suohon suonivöistä, niittyhyn nivuslihoista, kankahasen kainaloista.”

The story goes (in Kalevala): Joukahainen promised Aino, his sister, as a wife to Väinämöinen after he lost a fight against old man. Aino didn't want that. She ran home crying, telling her mother she would rather become a bride to a fish than marry Väinämöinen. When Väinämöinen tired to get her later, Aino ran into a water, drowning herself.
