Station: Nightingale
Nightcord at 25:00 Adjacent Music Circle
A group of online users that uses the app Nightcord to communicate in order to create songs that can hopefully save someone and maybe even themselves
Tumblr media
Kanade Yoisaki (K) - Composer. Blames herself for what happened to her dad, and so has cursed herself to create songs that will save people.
Tenma Saki (Nozomi) - Lyricist. Spent her Middle School years in hospital where she found K’s music and started writing lyrics to the songs. She hopes that her lyrics will speak and reach out to people.
Kamishiro Rui (Chrono) - MV Creator. Ostracized due to his eccentrics, Rui started attending night school to avoid his old classmates and spends all his free time creating Music Videos from his heart to try to get his feelings out.
Aoyagi Toya (Yato) - Arrangements. Wanted to escape Classical Music by any means and try to find his own sound and so one night came across K’s music as was mesmerized by it and the feeling it gave him so attempted to chase it by making his own arrangement of the song
SEKAI: Train Station SEKAI
Consists of a train station platform and a steam train with as many carriages as the eye can see.
The station itself seems to be located in the middles of an expansive field and is perpetually dark, only lit up by the stars in the sky and the stations lights.
Each carriage layout is identical to the next and despite how far down they go down the train, if they wish to exit, the door will immediately take them back to the platform.
Luggage and bags seem to dot around the platform and in the carriages.
First Virtual Singers
Tumblr media
Hatsune Miku - Train Conductor. Isn’t necessarily very talkative but can be found humming or singing songs quietly. She offers a quiet and calm presence that makes the others feel welcoming. She assures that they are all safe on this train.
MEIKO - Passenger. Can almost always be found sitting on of the the benches on the platform with a bag. Similar to Miku, she offers a welcoming presence and is always willing to listen and give advice to the others, though she tends to act a bit aloof. She assures them that is fine to be themselves here and that there is no rush, the train will still be here for them when they are ready to depart.
Virtual Singers
Order of Appearance (StC)
Tumblr media
Kagamine Len - Runaway. Is always caught hiding behind pillars of the station, or slouched deep into a chair in the carriages. He arrived on the train without a ticket and is scared of the ticket inspector (KAITO) finding him, so whenever he sees KAITO, he bolts the other way or quickly hides. He explains that he is on this train because he wants to get away and chase his own dreams which really resonates with Toya and slightly with Rui.
Kagamine Rin - Train Employee. Rin is always bursting with ideas on how to improve the station and the train itself. She is always covered in paint and dirt and is always carrying around tools and paint brushes with her. Some carriages of the train seem to be victims of her creative outbursts. The other virtual singers seem used to her eccentrics but don’t seem bothered by it and in fact actually encourage it.
Megurine Luka - Passenger? Luka isn’t seen very often in the SEKAI and mainly only appears when the group is ready to release a new song. She always warns of rejection and failure, saying “that this song also might not save anyone, or it won’t reach those it needs to reach. Are you prepared for that?” The group is normally hesitant after she says that but push on with their determination because even if this one fails, they’ll learn from it and the next one surely will and if not, one day a song will. Luka tends to specifically pick on Kanade, testing her determination.
KAITO - Ticket Inspector. Seems scary and strict but is actually exceptionally kind and is always ready to bring a bright atmosphere to the station. He jokes with the group and cares for them in a type of father figure way. He tells the group that whilst it’s always important to be kind, it is okay to have your own morals, if something upsets them or rubs them the wrong way, they don’t need to just smile and brush it off, it’s okay to say “I’m not okay with that.” In the same way he handles his job, he understands that some people can’t afford a ticket but he can’t just let anyone on board.
Subject to Change as I go on figuring out this AU more.

Ngl this was near impossible because 95% of my faves are in the 2nd and 3rd gen lol. So I had a SUPER hard time choosing for those two 😅
I'll tag @clgzb @pinktop-s and @missaoapink - but only if you wanna! ❤️✨

please write your novels about seventeens friendship!I love their friendship and I could talk about it forever
there is just something so profound about 13 different people, unlikely to all get along on any given day at the same time, to forge a bond together that is so genuine and strong that it makes me all warm and fussy inside. i think the fact that they never hid that they fought sometimes, that they sometimes spent days and weeks and months fighting or arguing in the early days, is the reason they work so well together even beyond the individual clusters of closer friends in the group. they actively cultivate and adjust and forge their friendship to remain and prevail, are unafraid for it to change or shift, and that makes it even possible for them to be in a group together. when dk was asked what’s the reason for their continued work is and he said “it’s love, of course” that is precisely what it looks like. this is what it’s like to work with people who love and wilfully love the work you do with your friends / band-members / second family atp.

Have you listened to Ay-Yo or the other new singles part of NCT 127’s repackaged album? I always enjoy diving into your perspective on groups artistic vision! I never really gave them much time but was sucked into their recent music (I think it’s because of Dem Jointz and Kenzie who helped produce some of the album??). The AY MV wasn’t as flashy as 2 Baddies but I do love a cunt moment and Taeyong delivered for me. I am now so curious about NCT!! You’ve mentioned before that they’re one of the backbones of 4th gen. What do you think it is about the group that has established them beyond others? I appreciate that the songs are experimental and unafraid. The music videos always feel like being sucked into an intense video game and I am here for it lol. Thanks for running such a thoughtful blog btw! Most times I feel like I’m in a little island with too many thoughts but it’s always a fun time checking out your posts.
yes! i love ay yo and the new songs on the repack! skyscraper is my fave of the three but i also really dig dj. dem jointz has actually produced quite a few of 127's title tracks, including cherry bomb, punch, kick it, sticker, and some bsides like right now, time lapse, designer, and nct dream's arcade! kenzie has also done a few 127 tracks including limitless, favourite, and several of my all time fave nct songs ok! and music dance.
sm obvs has big three privilege and for a reason, they have a really long history as one of the founding pillars of the industry since they pretty much invented it. bc of the company's status and their consistency with training their idols + the legacy of the popularity of their groups + the quality of their music, any new group that sm debuts automatically garners a lot of attention, both from the gp and from others in the industry. because of that, they tend to be imitated just by nature of having that much publicity, but nct made a splash with weird choreo and ''noise'' music. the seventh sense was a very unusual debut and no one's managed to level up to it since, even if nct wasn't exactly doing anything that new for the era they debuted in. they're spiritually continuing f(x)'s musical legacy, and the weird choreo + acrobatics of late third gen you can see in other groups that debuted in 2016, like knk and sf9. it's just that they had the higher visibility and outlasted a lot of other groups, so the combination of all those factors is what solidified them as being a significant influence on the subsequent generations.

man i’m still so hung up on the way that this professor handled music in the philippines. there were Choices made and though i agreed with a few of them, i found most of them straight up fucking baffling and it was disheartening to not feel heard or invited to contribute to the discussion despite this subject matter being uhhhhhhh my fucking lived experience just because i didn’t pay a twenty dollar membership fee to the fil-am org
#if ppl actually walk away thinking kulintang = progressive and rondalla = conservative i’m going to scream and bite things#BARELY touched on actual music happening in the philippines. most of it was fil am stuff#like sure apo hiking was mentioned but THAT WAS THE ONLY ONE#and it was to juxtapose american junk with something a child of the diaspora made#which was filled with like AAVE appropriation and was mostly in english like hello?#and the point was ‘see this is male dominated and the new one is intersectional feminism’ YOURE MISSING THE POINT#OH MH FUCKING GOD#AMERICAN JUNK SUCCINCTLY CRITICIZES AMERICAN PHYSICAL AND CULTURAL HEGEMONY#ITS FRUSTRATION AND LAMENT AND RESISTANCE BUBBLING UNDER OUR ‘FRIENDLY FACES’#the new song the fil am woman made covers WAY too much im sorry#i couldn’t understand it and i showed it to my parents and they were like we don’t understand this either lol#half of its not even in any dialect of filipino language#so we’re appropriating Black American art—music created by another oppressed group—and calling it SEA music. cool cool#the only thing i liked was this assigned book i need to finish it but it criticized the activities of fil-am uni orgs#it helped me verbalize just what put me off joining these group#NOT EVEN BAYAN KO. WE DIDNT EVEN TALK ABOUT BAYAN KO?#AND NO ASIN EITHER I WAS SO MAD#UGH i’m glad we’re done with this unit i was really really disappointed by it#NO WAIT THE FUNNIEST THING IS WERE GONNA CALL BAYANIHAN DANCE COMPANY CULTURAL APPROPRIATION#BUT WERE NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT HOW FIL AMS CASUALLY APPROPRIATE BLACK AMERICAN ART WHILE ANTIBLACK RACISM IS SO PERVSSIVE IN THE COMMUNITY#HELLO?
