another thing about the assistant angle is like. being there when bakugou reaches the hero top 40 and branches off with kirishima and sero and denki for their own agency. it's a bit of a mess bc they're barely twenty years old but—you're his only employee. he can barely afford to pay you and he doesn't even really know what you're supposed to do besides answer the phone and he's so emotionally unavailable but you're there, every single day. friendly with his friends. sometimes you bring lunch in for all of them and it's out of your own paycheck and it's not the best but you do it, for them. he lets you make the schedule for two weeks and you fuck it up so bad, but eventually you get it right and you try to be so fair—and that's hard to do, in the pro-hero world. there's nothing fair about a twenty year old man with trauma up to his ears risking his life every night because he doesn't know how to live with just himself, as just a man and not a hero, but goddamn it if you don't try to keep it fair, for every single one of them. you're one of his emergency contacts. you pick them up in the middle of the night when they're all the way across town, in another district police department bc that's where they caught the guy and where they have to turn him in. sometimes you bring their clothes or costumes home and wash them bc they don't get the chance. like it's everything.

Howdy to all my queers and disabled folks!
As I’m writing this, it’s my birthday, and I just released a new album that I’m super excited about! It’s called “Ganymede Gives Up The Ghost” by Stuffy Doll, and it’s got 17 tracks spanning genres from hip hop to screamy metal to punk to soulful ballads. Songs about a trans superhero, growing up, being sick, friendship, predators, the queer community, and so much more!
It even features the incredible Riley Silverman as the voice of The Narrator! (Not to mention that amazing album art by @ghostcashew)
If you like Hozier, Florence+The Machine, Slipknot, clipping., Lorde, Against Me! or honestly just any good music, I think this album has something for you.
Since it’s my birthday, I’m asking that you consider buying it on my Bandcamp, but if you can’t afford it, just stream it wherever you listen to music and please share it around. I’m putting all the money I’ve made so far into advertising this album because I really believe in it.
Thank you, love you, and stay safe, Dolls.

waiter, i'm in a rather spiffing mood this evening. i'd like to order your finest "trusted mentor coercing a sensitive but naïve boy into crossdressing, then starting hrt, and then finally undergoing gender reassignment surgery through months of psychological manipulation. i'm also going to humbly request that the mentor be a whole head taller than him, and have pink hair too. and..." i slide a crisp twenty into the waiters pocket "tell the chef to make it mech-pilot and handler." winks

my totally unsolicited advice for anyone who wants to live their local metal scene is to just go for it!! i live in a city with only a couple bigger metal clubs and they mostly play cover bands but there's way more going on if you know where to look
like, you go see a cover band and then you start following them and their musicians on social media, and then sometimes maybe one of them talks about that underground original band and then you follow them as well and you start discovering all sort of parties and places you never even heard of
and okay some of them might be a bit shitty but you'll only ever know by being there. same thing with making friends in the scene, you gotta be out there to meet people
so yeah start with maybe a small festival with one big/medium headliner and a bunch of smaller acts, follow the bands, learn where they play and where they are, go to these places! sometimes the "scene" is not in a specific place but rather a lot of small events that only happen once. so just go out there man. live that shit

Is this thing on? Been a lonnnnnng while, but I want to test the waters to see if there's an audience for country music on Tumblr 2023.
I've been making a weekly playlist in lieu of a radio show for a couple months now. Figure that'd be a good place to start.
If you like country music that's outside the mainstream, check out this playlist. It's full of new and recent releases. I kick it off with a classic country song and send it off with Willie Nelson. In between you'll find music from artists making country music in their own way with their own style. While the music changes every week, the playlist stays in the same spot. Plus, there's an archive where I retire the old playlists.
If you find something you like, let me know and give the artists a follow on instagram.
Track list:
Ray Charles - Georgia on My Mind
The Waymores - Greener Pastures
Christopher Seymore, South Texas Tweek - I Can Get off on You
Amanda Donald - Get in Line
Marty Bush - Turn Down the Lights
Nora Kelly Band - Rodeo Clown
David Quinn - Down Home
Zach Bryan, Sierra Ferrell - Holy Roller
Turnpike Troubadours - A Cat in the Rain
Sarah Jane Scouten - Wanderlust
Nick Shoulders - All Bad
The Two Tracks - In the Morning
