lmao rana ayyub recently described nupur sharma as being privileged because she can keep a firearm to protect herself. what privilege? privilege to protect herself while still having to be in hiding? meanwhile she says BS all day and can freely travel in and out of the country without having to face such threats. it was easier for me to empathize with muslims when i was younger and it's not because of them being muslim i am dislike many. but way too many of them are extremist selfish pricks.
This is a barfing matter. A person who receives death and r*pe threats till date for a statement she mentioned 8 months ago, gets a gun license to protect herself! What a privilege indeed!
No but is Rana Ayyub, or any of her supporters for that matter, aware about the fact it was not just Nupur who got the threats? Does she know what happened to anyone who supported Nupur Sharma online? Do Kanhaiya Lal and Umesh Kolhe ring a bell? Not only were they threatened, tortured, but were brutally killed by those assassins.
Being involved in a money laundering case— which is not to mention a commitment of corruption, something these people accuse only the government of doing— yet having the permit to travel abroad given by the high court itself and even the allegation made by the ED becomes redundant.
Now that is something I would call a real undeserved privilege.
Rana Ayyub may view receiving death threats and being confined to her home for months as privileges, but any sane individual would consider Nupur Sharma's experiences to be legitimate justifications for a weapons license. We shouldn’t be surprised or even ashamed now. Hitherto, the likes of such extremists have believed it to be their duty to vanquish anyone else’s existence which they consider as a by-product.

Top 5 Best Pahadi Movies
Garhwali cinema, a local cinema from the Garhwali area of Uttarakhand, India, has its own charm. It shows the cultural variety, the values, and the sceneries of the area. The movies are very much liked at the narrative level—these are the stories of people of Garhwal and their problems, feelings, and everyday lives. The fact that Garhwali cinema has not had the best of times in terms of adulation when measured against the glitz and glam and following of Bollywood is very correct. Still, it has collected a large number of fans and gained a regional appearance and has thus been able to withstand the onslaught of changes in the last few years. Provided below is a list of the top 5 best Garhwali movies that have made a significant impact on the regional film industry.
1.Ghaprol (2024)
Directed by:Siddharth Sharma
Ghaprol captures the heavenly Uttarakhand in visual splendor, its variety is not only comedy but also shows from time to time a celebration of life in the hamlets, the manifestation of rural India's charm, warmth, and hospitality. Through this movie, families will enter the world of Garhwali culture and be absorbed from beginning to end due to the powerful cast and some funny scenes.
2. Kaili (2019)
Directed by: Subodh Rawat
Synopsis: "Kaili" is a moving story that narrates the bond between a mother and her baby. The film, which is located in Garhwal, is about the lives of the family and the pressure of societal rules. Besides, the structure also indicates a mother who brings up his son who lived in a remote village where tradition had to take a back seat.
Why it's a must-watch: The actors did an outstanding job and the heroin, in particular, stands out as one of the best representations of Garhwali culture. The story also talks about the displacement and the resulting way of life for the people of the region, particularly the impact on families.
3. Dhor (2019)
Directed by: Umesh Nautiyal
Synopsis: Dhor" is one of those movies that make you cry easily as a small boy living in a garhwali village. The film revolves around the themes of traditionalism and change as well as modernization. The protagonist is stuck in between his obligations to his family and the wish to set his village free.
Why it's a must-watch: "Dhor" is a moving appeal to the family bond of inherent strength and the paradoxes that frame life in rural Uttarakhand. The depiction of Garhwali culture in the movie in combination with an interesting storyline keeps the audience entertained.
4. Chandravat (2016)
Directed by: Rakesh Mehra
Synopsis: According to "Chandravat", the story of a young artist whose goal to become a great artist is interrupted by the harsh realities of life in an Indian Himalayan Garhwali village. The film addresses the topics of perseverance, ambition, and the challenges of rural existence. It is a fine illustration of the issues raised by the new generation of youth living in the mountains trying to find their place as the world changes.
Why it's a must-watch: The film's deep cultural content, beautiful Garhwali scene as well as cinematography are a treat for the eyes. The screenplay, addressing works of youth dreams and social preconditions, resonates with audiences.
5. Gharwahi (2018)
Directed by: Suraj Kumar
Synopsis: Gharwahi" is a story of dramatic film–which brings the emotional crisis in the life of a young couple, originated from Uttarakhand. The story portrays the complexities of marriage, familial obligations, and the unspoken challenges of relationships in a rural setting. The movie further illustrates the spirit of the Garhwali traditions and the complexities of the family life.
Why it's a must-watch: Because of powerful performances and effective storytelling, this film is remarkable. It also provides a perspective on the customs of the Garhwali marriage and family set ups providing a profound cultural experience.
Conclusion
Garhwali cinema is very much replete with its cultural, emotional and spiritual flavor of Uttarakhand. Not only fun, but they also reflect regional culture, difficulties and dreams. As mentioned, the above five films have significantly contributed to Garhwali cinema gaining popularity all over the world and giving an exciting exposure to the world about the beauty of the Garhwal region. From poignant family stories to love and self sacrifice stories or spiritual quests, these films contain something for every viewer who longs to feel the heart of Garhwal as captured on film.

[ad_1] India after defeating Australia at the Optus Stadium, Perth (PC: Debasis Sen) RevSportz Comment In the eyes of millions, Indian cricket came of age at Eden Gardens in March 2001, with a victory after following-on against Steve Waugh’s Invincibles. But it was other victories, away from home, in the same decade that truly established that Indian cricket was on an upward trajectory and not inclined to look back. Each was unexpected, as much a bucking of the odds as the World Cup final triumph in 1983, and because they came in the format where the better team invariably prevails, they became benchmarks for future generations to follow. At Headingley in 2002, Sourav Ganguly disregarded the bowler-friendly conditions at the toss and decided to bat. Rahul Dravid’s painstaking century, and a valuable 68 from Sanjay Bangar set up the game, and punishing hundreds from Sachin Tendulkar and the captain himself led India to a famous innings win, with Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh taking 11 wickets in the match. Less than 18 months later, India gave up 400 runs in a day and 556 in total in the first innings at the Adelaide Oval. But with Dravid and VVS Laxman reprising their Kolkata heroics by adding 303, and Ajit Agarkar summoning up the spell of his life (6-41), India eked out a four-wicket win almost as unreal as the Eden success. At the Wanderers in Johannesburg in 2006, Mickey Arthur, then South Africa’s coach, asked for pace and bounce. Dravid, again, and Tendulkar gritted their way through the toughest phase, before Ganguly made a sprightly half-century to lift India to 249. Sreesanth’s immaculate seam position, with support from Zaheer Khan, did the rest, as the hosts were skittled for 84 in their first dig. For the Latest Sports News: Click Here Australia vs India, Perth Test (PC: Debasis Sen) In Perth in January 2008, on the heels of the Monkeygate fiasco that nearly saw the tour cancelled, Australia unleashed Shaun Tait, The Wild Thing, at the WACA in Perth, alongside Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson and Stuart Clark. But with Dravid, who else, making a gutsy 93, and Tendulkar contributing 71, India put 330 on the board. Their ‘pedestrian’ pace attack of Irfan Pathan, RP Singh and Ishant Sharma then took 14 of the 20 wickets to fall in a famous 72-run victory. The highlight was a teenage Ishant’s spell to Ricky Ponting on the fourth morning, with the Australian skipper put through the wringer before being put out of his misery. An emphatic 10-wicket win in Hamilton set up a first series win in New Zealand in over 40 years (2009), but equally noteworthy was the magnificent rearguard action that saved the next Test in Napier, spearheaded by none other than Gautam Gambhir, the current coach, who batted 643 minutes for his 137. Nearly two years later, on a lightning-quick Kingsmead deck, Sreesanth and Zaheer were to the fore as South Africa were routed again. Sreesanth’s bouncer which had Jacques Kallis jackknifing like a puppet on a string remains one of the most-played clips among Indian Test aficionados. India after winning the Perth Test vs Australia (PC: Debasis Sen) The impact of those wins What each of these victories did was ensure that the Virat Kohli-Cheteshwar Pujara-R Ashwin-Ajinkya Rahane-Rohit Sharma generation didn’t travel with the baggage or inferiority complexes of the past. Starting with Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami, there was a steady influx of genuinely quick bowlers into the XI, culminating in the inspired decision to give Jasprit Bumrah his red-ball debut at Newlands in January 2018. Over the past decade and a bit, India have won at venues as diverse as Lord’s, the MCG, Trent Bridge, Newlands, Adelaide, the Gabba in Brisbane and now the Optus Stadium. These results are no longer seismic shocks. And while no one takes them for granted, it’s now accepted that Indian cricket has what it takes to fight fire with a flame-thrower. In the 20th century, India played 157 Tests away from home, and won just 14. Of those,
two came against Australia’s Packer Era second-stringers, and one apiece in Sri Lanka — before the glory years — and Bangladesh. The first three overseas wins were all against a New Zealand then considered the international game’s basement side. This century, India now have 47 wins from 132 overseas Tests. If you narrow it down to the last decade alone, they have won more (23) than they’ve lost (18) on foreign fields. Nearly half of those (11) have been in the SENA countries where India once went as lambs to the slaughter. Ganguly may have frequently polarised opinion both as a player and leader, but it’s impossible to overstate just how much that brave call at the toss in Leeds all those years ago transformed Indian cricket. There have been hiccups aplenty along the way, but there would have been no Optus Stadium celebrations without the spadework done by Dravid and Bangar under the cloudy Yorkshire skies.
Pagglait Film Review
Madness is sometimes a necessary part of life
Image of Sanya Malhotra Lead in the Reviewed Film Plot: Sandhya, a young widow, is the subject of this movie. Five months after their marriage, their spouse passes away. She gains knowledge about how to manage her family. One day, out of nowhere, she noticed a picture in her husband's armchair. Who owns that picture? She begins to despise her consort after witnessing it. In her name, her spouse also obtained insurance worth fifty lakhs. For it, she gets a check. Will she leave the house to deliver a fifty-lakh check? Will she become less hateful of an espoused person? Or is she going to get married again? Will she and her parents go back home? You will need to watch a movie in order to respond to all of these questions. Theme: The Black Comedy/Drama Theme serves as the basis for this movie. In addition to this, it can be regarded as a quality parallel cinema production. However, in addition to providing entertainment, a film's goal is to spread a social message. Will women be able to freely consider their lives in our society? Will they be forced to conform to the will of a male-dominated society? Do women have to submit to men all the time? Acting and Characters: Sanya Malhotra's portrayal of Sandhya is excellent. Her ability to blend all the emotions—crying, laughing, pain, loneliness, anger, jealousy, and so on—is superb. Despite having a small part in Aakansha's role, Sayani Gupta's acting is impressive. She first lost her partner, and by not getting married, she effectively conveyed her anguish through her facial expressions. Sandhya's closest friend, Shruti Sharma, has additionally a fantastic job portraying Nazia. Sheeba Chaddha and Ashutosh Rana, who played supporting parts, both displayed facial expressions of their sorrow at losing their son. They kept that hurt in their hearts and never even told anyone how they were going to pay back the loan. Additionally, Raghuveer Yadav had strong acting abilities. Writer/Director: Umesh Bisht was the director of this movie. His first Hindi film is this one. He is in total command of the movie. His portrayal of a black comedy drama story, including how and how the characters tell it, is excellent. Furthermore, he was able to get exceptional performance out of the characters. Story and Screenplay:written by the director, who has total control over it. Powerfully, and it maintains audience interest. Nobody can predict what will happen next because of how strongly the characters are written. Dialogues: The film's dialogue is funny and has a great sense of humour. Cinematography: Rafey Mahmood's cinematography is exceptional, and Lucknow's has been shot beautifully.Everything has been expertly filmed, including the Ganga river scenes and the aerial shots. Editing: “There are no obstacles, and it's very clean.” The movie moves along at a decent clip, and the scene changes are superb. Background Score: It wasn't too bad. Production Design: An old house expertly designed. The Sound design is also magnificent. Music: Arijit Singh is directing music for the first time with this movie. Aside from this, the songs, such as “Thode Kam Ajnabi” and “Fire Fakira,” are well-made. Lyrics: Nilesh Mishra's songs have good lyrics. Climax: The filming is excellent. Viewpoint: Suggested for a Single View! (Those who enjoy watching unusual films.) Social Message: Girls are entitled to live their lives as they see fit and make the changes they desire. It is also impossible for the male-dominated society to force its will on her. Appreciation: Sanya Malhotra's acting in this movie, has received a lot of praise from the gifted actress Kangana Ranaut. Facts: The scene where the grandmother rings the bell has turned into a perfect comedy moment.
