The State Department on Friday accused RT of having transformed from a state-backed propaganda outlet into a sophisticated arm of Russian intelligence, secretly operating a vast military procurement network to supply Russian forces in Ukraine.

RT, formerly Russia Today, has been pulling this off by using a large online crowdfunding platform, promoted through social media, to buy military equipment and then channel it to Russian units in Ukraine, according to the State Department. The administration said the operations were administered by RT deputy editor-in-chief and head of international broadcasting for Sputnik Anton Anisimov and had avoided detection by importing small orders of weaponry and supplies.

That shopping list, according to State, includes sniper rifles and suppressors, personal weapon sights, body armor and tactical clothing, night vision equipment, drones, radio equipment and diesel generators.

New evidence from the State Department also linked some of the equipment — particularly recon drones — directly to China-based entities. The department also alleges that RT is facilitating production in coordination with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“I’ve instructed U.S. diplomats around the world to share the evidence that we’ve gathered on RT’s expanded capabilities and the ways it’s being used to target individual countries and the information ecosystem that we share,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a Friday briefing.

To camouflage and obscure its evolved mission, State said, RT has even developed previously unknown cyber capabilities while deploying a network of fake news websites, social media accounts and online personas on a global scale. Since spring 2023, the department said, RT has harbored a cyber unit with direct ties to Russian intelligence that it uses to funnel information to spies, mercenaries and Kremlin proxies worldwide. The network has also expanded influence operations globally, with a particular focus on Europe, Africa and the Americas, including an ongoing effort to destabilize the government of Argentina.

Some covert influence fronts secretly run by RT include online platform “African Stream,” which boasts 460,000 YouTube subscribers, and “Red,” a Berlin-based English language platform with over 80,000 followers on X, the State Department said. A Paris-based journalist was also hired to run influence projects targeting French speakers, according to the State Department.

But one of the most notable influence campaigns the department said was run by RT involves Moldova’s October election, with State accusing RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan of being in direct coordination with the Kremlin to sway the results toward a pro-Russian candidate.

When reached for comment, RT shared a Russian-language post on Telegram on Friday from Simonyan with a brash admission. “American intelligence services have found out that we are helping the front,” a translated version of Simonyan’s post reads. “We are doing it openly, idiots.”

The news comes weeks after the Justice Department unsealed an indictment against senior employees of RT accusing them of using shell companies and fake identities to pay millions of dollars to a Tennessee-based media outlet to create pro-Russia content.

Simonyan had already been a target of Treasury sanctions earlier in September, and went on Russian state TV over the weekend to brag that RT runs covert operations in the United States.

U.S. Workers Owed Over $163 Million In Back Pay

Over 208,000 U.S. workers deserve an extra $163.3 million in pay from businesses that violated wage laws, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

In an apparent response to such crises, the Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division has created Workers Owed Wages (WOW). It is a website that allows a person to determine if a company for which they have worked is one of the businesses that owes their employees back pay - that is, the difference between what the worker was rightfully owed and the amount they were paid.

If a worker finds that a company for which they worked is listed on WOW, he or she may then use the site to determine if they are one of the workers owed money. The Labor Department has collected this money from the companies, and will pay these workers what they are rightfully owed.

Many times, the companies claim that they wished to pay their workers, but were not able to find the often former employees to whom the money is owed.

Last year, WOW helped workers claim over $26.9 million of their hard-earned cash, which benefitted almost 4,000 workers.

But thousands of others who are owed these wages have not utilized the Labor Dept. website. That’s an issue, as Labor only retains the funds for three years - after that, the unclaimed funds become the property of the U.S. Treasury.

Why can’t the companies just send the wages to the workers who earned them? The simple truth is that many of these workers are at or near the bottom of the wage totem pole. So, as one might expect, “representatives from the Wage and Hour Division [have] said many of the employees who are owed wages come from under-served populations,” according to a recent article on the matter published by USA Today.

The workers include “such [people] as young workers, migrant workers and those earning near minimum wage,” the article added.

And such workers will frequently change matters in their lives like addresses or jobs, making it especially hard to track them down, according to federal sources.

“One of our top priorities is to ensure that the back wages we recover are swiftly paid to the workers who earned them,” recently stated Labor Department wage and hour administrator Jessica Looman to USA Today.

“Yet, a portion of that money remains unclaimed because some of the workers due back wages cannot be located,” she added.

“They may have changed jobs or changed addresses and cannot be notified of the money owed to them,” continued Looman.

Knowing which workers are often underpaid, there perhaps is little surprise that the construction, food service and health care industries are the most common culprits in failing to pay their workers all they have actually earned, according to Labor Department data.

For instance, “a total of 36,534 people employed by the food service industry are owed back wages that have already been paid out by [i.e., collected from] their previous employer,” stated USA Today.

Pennsylvania companies appear to have been the chief culprits in this matter, failing to pay their workers more than $19 million. The wages remain unclaimed, according to USA Today.

Companies in California, Texas, Massachusetts and Virginia have fared almost as poorly, often failing to properly pay workers the full wages they have earned.

In short, companies in these five states failed to properly pay $74 million to the workers who need it most.

And of course, companies in these states are not the only culprits. In Florida alone, more than 10,000 workers are owed over $6.17 million, according to Labor Department data.

There may be more questionable reasons for the failure of these companies to pay their workers what they actually earned.

Lissette Vargas, who serves as the Labor Department’s acting district director of its wage and hour division, informed South Florida’s WTVJ-TV that these companies may well have violated numerous federal laws, from overtime and minimum wage violations, to the Family and Medical Leave Act or laws regulating child labor.

It should be added that “those who believe they may have experienced wage theft [should be informed that] the Labor Department provides resources and information on worker’s rights,” as stated by USA Today.

Professor Lambert

Lambert is teaching in full armour, lecturing students on the properties of drowner brains and their uses in potions. "Fresh brains are the best," he lectures before explaining that the best way to get fresh brains is to go out and find a drowner to kill. He launches into a full-on explanation on how to best approach a drowner and how to kill it as fast as possible, adding in that if any of them try it, they will likely die. "Leave the drowner hunting to witchers," he tells his students firmly. And yes, he admits it now. They have become his students.

It started several weeks ago, with a single boy helping him gather ingredients for swallow, he had already had the fresh drowner brain he needed for it. The boy was asking him questions whilst Lambert worked and when Lambert launched into a full explanation on the properties of each ingredient he was using and how they each reacted to each other, the boy took notes. The next day the boy was back with friends, Lambert was making a simple salve and found himself explaining every step he took and answering any questions the young men had and then some that weren't about anything Lambert had been working with at that moment. It just evolved from there, with Lambert returning to the labs to make potions and salves and students of Alchemy showing up to ask questions.

The first time Lambert found out they had a shitty teacher they were treated to an in dept lecture on ingredients, how to properly chop, dice, slice them, how to prepare them for different potions in different ways depending on other interacting ingredients. The students listened, took notes, asked questions, and even copied his method of preparing ingredients. He found himself teaching before he knew it himself, students taking diligent notes and participating in his demonstrations, copying his movements.

The first time a paper on drowner brains was given to him, he just stared and then found himself correcting any mistakes he found.

Before he knew it, more papers landed in his hands, and he found himself grading them in the evenings, much to Jaskiers amusements. A month later, one of the members of the treasury department stopped by with a contract and a bag of coins. A heafty sum too, and Lambert found he had been added to the payroll for the colleges Winter course on advanced Alchemy with an added course on basic Alchemy for beginning students.

After a good fifteen minutes of cursing, Lambert took the coin, read the contract and then signed on to teach for the winter and next winter too. Because the current professor had shit for brains and never showed up.

Which was why Lambert was now in a classroom, instead of the previous professor, having replaced the moronic sack of shit. He was in his armor, wearing a pair of reading glasses and the most annoying, ugly, black teaching robe Lambert had ever had the displeasure of wearing. But it was mandatory for professors so Lambert wore it over his armor. Fuck anyone who said he had to go without armor and his swords. He was teaching in his gear and that was that.

Continuing my review and summarization of Project 2025, Chapter 21 covers the Dept of Treasury

1. Reverse racist “equity agenda” of the Biden administration

3. The national debt expanded by more than $4 trillion in Biden’s first two years in office. NB: In the first 3 years of Biden’s administration the debt increased by $4.3 billion; however, the ten-year cost of the legislation and executive actions President Trump signed into law was about $8.4 trillion, with interest of which $2.5 trillion came from tax cut laws and $2.3 trillion from spending increases

4. The tax system should be applied consistently—with special privileges for none—and respect taxpayer due process and privacy rights. NB: the above applies unless you are in the top few percentage points of wealth which saw significant decreases in taxes paid while low- and middle-income people saw relatively little improvement. Households with incomes in the top 1 percent received an average tax cut of more than $60,000 in 2025, compared to an average tax cut of less than $500 for households in the bottom 60 percent.

5. Enact a simple two-rate individual tax system of 15% and 30% that eliminates most deductions, credits and exclusions with the 30% bracket would begin at the Social Security wage base which is $168,600 for 2024. The US poverty threshold for 2034 is $31,200 at 15% tax is $4680, leaving $26,520 for a family of four to survive on. This is an increase from the current 12%. $168,600 at 30% is $20,580, leaving $148,020 to live on.

6. Repeal the exemptions for itemized deductions, non-military moving expenses, state and local taxes, and educational expenses 

7. All taxpayers should be allowed to contribute up to $15,000 (adjusted for inflation) of post-tax earnings into Universal Savings Accounts (USAs). The tax treatment of these accounts would be comparable to Roth IRAs and gains would be nontaxable. This makes sense.

7. Limit the amount of untaxed benefits to employees that employers may deduct to $12,000

8. Establish a federal consumption tax as the least economically harmful way to raise federal tax revenues

9. Make a deputy commissioner for operations support for the IRS a presidential appointment 

10. International organizations such as the OECD, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund espouse economic theories and policies that are inimical to American free market and limited government principles

11. Create a school of financial warfare jointly with the DOD

12. Replace government regulation of banking and financial firms with competition and market discipline. Create new charters for financial firms that eliminate activity restrictions and reduce regulation.

13. Get rid of Fannie Mae and Fannie Mac and privatize these agencies.

14. Get rid of DEI, critical race theory, inclusion and accessibility. Identify every Treasury official who participated in DEI activities and interview them to ensure such initiatives are completely ended.

15. Withdraw from all climate change agreements are that inimical to the prosperity of the US
