I am surprised I haven’t seen anything said regarding this before but Mona isn’t talking about “lioness” as written in her EN voiceline but specifically male person who left “the pride”, which is Diluc.

Consider how knights miss Diluc, and in Hidden Strife Kaeya is talking about “being warm family again”

( In CN Kaeya refers to Diluc as “senior” but only Jean has actively referred to him as such )

Jean considers her responsibility to show Diluc better Knights of Favonius, which ties into her growing as a leader and becoming Grandmaster of the Knights
