DSC03808crop rsz tag by Jim Via Flickr: visible anomaly in night sky captured with super night shot camera, cropped to image for closer viewing. This could be classed as a craft as it is visually seen in the night sky as a "light", until zoomed in on and captured here as 3 lights (group) some kilometers from the camera. It is not any standard aeroplane as it shows no Nav. lights at all. In most all cases they only illuminate a fixed glow, on rare occasions do they flash or strobe. Travelling slowly in the night sky, they do sometimes react to my signalling.

Screenshots of a video take at night.
These images show how the object I was recording somehow dispersed into separate objects or so it seems.
I have so many more just like this… people are just side stepping them without any kind of effort to truly debunk or truly explain any of it.

The drones, Orion’s Belt, and distracting propaganda.
The things that comes to mind with the drone media are that it’s got a very diversionary feel, and that we really need more investment in night sky and aviation education so people can recognize planets, constellations, satellites, and aircraft.

Down Bad is... perhaps my favorite song on TTPD. The sparkling synths, the cosmic metaphor, the phrase "Down bad, crying at the gym, " which, me too. The implied rhyme in the bridge where she cuts off, "how dare you say that it's— (over)" Everything is so good. I've previously said that a lot of songs on TTPD are capsules of time, and Down Bad is no exception. This pocket of time is one after leaving a whirlwind romance, grieving a love that the speaker knows was fake in the first place, and yet still hurts.
Let's dive into it, shall we?
Down Bad explores the idea of a love bombing ( as defined by Oxford, "the action or practice of lavishing someone with attention or affection, especially in order to influence or manipulate them." ) through the lens of an alien abduction. Again, we see an extended metaphor to explore a core idea, a common theme on TTPD. A very key feature of love bombing is that it is most effective on those already longing for company. By the letter of the song, we don't know if the Speaker was experiencing that level of loneliness, but it certainly feels implied by her want for something so short.
The song is quite different in tone from the previous track: it lacks the denial that Favorite Toys does, lacks this feeling that the Speaker is ignoring something. She admits, frankly, that the love she perceives only wanted her "to do experiments on, show [her] the world is bigger than [them], then put [her] back where [she] came from."
( I think one could tie that lyric into Illicit Affair's "You showed me colors you know I can't see with anyone else." )
The Speaker in Down Bad is in mourning - quite fitting, for such a fatalistic album. She describes being left by her alien lover as "like [she] lost [her] twin." Twins have a very mythic quality in fiction, telepathic connections and mystical connotations. In the real world, there are plenty of anecdotal stories of identical twins having a connection unlike a simple sibling pair, including my favorite anecdote: A pair of twins who were separated at birth and yet ended up living lives that so closely mirrored the other's, it felt planned.
The speaker feels her loss is of that magnitude. That she has lost someone who knew everything she felt, who had that mystical remedy for her. Much like Fortnight, Down Bad's speaker is stuck. Not stuck in her suburbia, but stuck in her hometown, looking up at the sky, waiting to be picked up again, and writhing in it, silently. "They'll say I'm nuts if I talk about the existence of you."
It's no secret that those who claim alien abduction or to have seen UFOs ( now called UAPs by the American Military, for Unidentified Aerial Phenonemon, allowing the phrase to encompass more broadly things like auroras and odd clouds, ) are condemned by their peers. Down Bad's speaker fears this same condemnation, for feeling so strongly about what is, by implication, a flash in the pan romance.
Most alien abductees, for instance, only claim to have been taken for a night, or a week at most. The romance was short lived, but now she's "waking up in blood" from the aftershocks of the alien lover's experiments. Though she feels fervent desire for them, that line reveals that they didn't take the same care with her.
Perhaps they didn't know how. After all, the speaker's lover is portrayed as so different, they may as well be an intergalactic traveler. Or perhaps they didn't care; the song doesn't answer that for us. All we know is that the speaker wants them back, in spite of the damage they had done to her.

"Beatriz Villarroel, assistant professor of physics at Stockholm University, is leading a team of astronomers looking at photographic plates of the night sky that date from before the first artificial satellite was launched in 1957.
Mysteriously, on one plate from April 1950, Villarroel found nine sources of light that appeared within a half-hour period and then vanished. Conducting observations using the Gran Telescopio Canarias, on La Palma in the Canary Islands, revealed nothing at the locations of the light sources that might have flared up.
“There is no astronomical explanation for this type of event,” says Villarroel.
More recently, her team found three bright “stars” on a plate dated 19 July 1952 that have since vanished. Provocatively, this is a date burned into the diaries of UFO enthusiasts around the world because it coincides with a famous incident in which pilots and radar operators saw lights they could not explain in the skies above Washington DC."

Government is hiding something. Methinks.
The thrill is gone from the 2023 Disclosure Act since US Congress watered it down at the last minute. "...declassification of UAP records will be largely up to the same entities that have blocked and obfuscated their disclosure for decades."
The article describes the Act's claim of 'eminent domain' over any and all recovered UAP tech or biological material. The Act also called for the US Secretary of State to contact any foreign government holding UAP materials.

Satellites, UFOs, and Hidden Pulses: Are We Cluttering the Skies or Preparing for Cosmic Illusions?
Are satellites creating illusions of UFOs, or are we being tricked by hidden tech? Explore space clutter, holograms, and cosmic mysteries.
What’s On My Mind Today? Lately, I’ve been spending more time looking up at the night sky. There’s a sense of wonder and mystery up there, but I’ve also noticed something else—there are a lot of satellites. It’s easy to lose track of where the stars end and where human-made technology begins. Then I started seeing news reports about UFOs and UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) popping up all…

Is earth a privileged planet or merely an insignificant speck of soil aimlessly adrift in a meaningless universe? Evidence refutes the principle of mediocrity—demonstrating that our earth is singularly privileged and designed for discovery. Jay Richards again joins Hank Hanegraaff to give the reasons why in this compelling conversation that clearly communicates why our earth is indeed a privileged planet amidst it’s place in the cosmos.
Topics discussed include: Can machines ever truly replace humans? (7:15); panpsychism—is there a materialistic way to explain consciousness? (11:05); what is the hypothesis of The Privileged Planet? SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) - Mysterious images were caught on a Ring camera, and beams of light in the sky have a Mid-Michigan man questioning, what is this?
It was last night at around a little after eleven when a Saginaw Township's family Ring camera was activated.
The man looked outside and saw at least one beam of light coming down from the sky.
It's difficult to say what activated the camera because when the man looked at his Ring camera video, he saw something else that is difficult to explain.
A local astronomer has an idea of what these images might be. But at the same time, he says we are all at a heightened sense of awareness about UFOs or UAPs, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.
"Alright, this is just too weird," says the Saginaw Township man about what he saw and his Ring camera video.
You see what appear to be bugs flying by, and then there are two strings of six lights, just floating there.
The family's Ring camera was activated at around 11:12 Sunday night. The man looked outside and witnessed a beam of light coming down from the sky.
"The brightest laser I had seen, and then, you immediately get chills," says the man.
The man, who did not want to be identified, then looked at the video from his Ring camera and saw those two strings of lights, and also saw the beam of light he saw with his own eyes and more beaming lights shining across the sky and ground.
"That's why I thought it was a helicopter above and lasering into the ground," he says.
The Michigan State Police's helicopter was not in the area last night. It's not clear if there was any other aircraft close by.
Other videos on the internet show similar lights like these picked up by Ring cameras. Some speculate they are caused by a dirty camera lens or reflections of a spider web.
"Most of the time it turns out to be all kinds of interesting reflections and optical effects," says Mike Murray of the Delta College Planetarium
He says more information would be needed about what caused those floating lights and the beams of lights.
"You have a lot of atmospheric effects that can take hold too, depending on the humidity, the thickness of the air, if there is fog," says Murray.
Murray says recent congressional testimony on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena has us all wondering what is out there.
"Take down as much information as you can get, time, locations, directions of movements, speeds," he says when you observe something in the sky that you can't explain.
The Saginaw Township man is still baffled as to what he saw.
"This is unexplainable."
The man at first thought it might be drones. He did not call 9-1-1, fearing what they might think of his state of mind.
Saginaw Township and Saginaw County Central Dispatch say there were no calls about that beam of light or any other strange lights in the area last night.

The Kendal UFO Sightings: Unveiling the Extraterrestrial Mystery
Introduction:
In recent years, the picturesque town of Kendal has become synonymous with a series of intriguing UFO sightings that have captivated the attention of residents and experts alike. Nestled in the heart of the Lake District in Cumbria, England, Kendal has witnessed an extraordinary surge in reports of unidentified flying objects traversing its skies. These sightings have sparked debates, conspiracy theories, and a sense of wonder among locals. In this article, we delve into the enigmatic Kendal UFO sightings, exploring witness accounts, investigations, and possible explanations for these otherworldly phenomena.
The Witnesses' Testimonies:
Eyewitnesses in Kendal have provided compelling testimonies regarding their encounters with unidentified flying objects. Residents have reported witnessing strange, luminous objects darting across the night sky, performing intricate aerial maneuvers that defy conventional aircraft capabilities. Witnesses describe the UFOs as emitting vibrant colors, leaving behind dazzling trails, and exhibiting speeds far surpassing any known human technology. Many residents have shared their experiences through social media, leading to a growing collection of visual evidence, including photographs and videos that further pique curiosity.
Investigating the Unexplained:
Given the frequency and consistency of these UFO sightings, various organizations and experts have initiated investigations to shed light on the phenomenon. Local UFO research groups have collaborated with renowned scientists and organizations specializing in extraterrestrial phenomena. They have conducted field studies, analyzed witness testimonies, and employed advanced technology to capture any substantial evidence.
Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force:
In response to the Kendal UFO sightings, the British government established a dedicated task force called the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force. This specialized group comprises scientists, military personnel, and intelligence experts. Its primary objective is to investigate and analyze UFO sightings in the UK, including those in Kendal. The task force utilizes state-of-the-art radar systems, satellite imagery, and other classified technologies to document and analyze the data collected during these sightings.
Possible Explanations:
Numerous theories have emerged to explain the Kendal UFO sightings. Skeptics attribute the sightings to misidentified conventional aircraft, atmospheric anomalies, or even psychological phenomena. However, proponents of the extraterrestrial hypothesis argue that the advanced capabilities demonstrated by these UFOs exceed known human technological capabilities. They suggest that these sightings could be evidence of extraterrestrial visitations, possibly indicating the presence of highly advanced civilizations observing or interacting with Earth.
Parallel Universe or Time Travel:
Another intriguing theory proposes that the Kendal UFO sightings may be linked to parallel universes or time travel. According to this hypothesis, these sightings could be glimpses into alternate dimensions or moments in time. While speculative, this explanation adds a layer of mystery and fascination to the phenomenon, fueling the imaginations of those captivated by the unknown.
The Kendal UFO sightings have transformed this tranquil town into a hub of extraterrestrial intrigue. Witness testimonies, investigations, and the establishment of the UAP Task Force have propelled these sightings into the realm of serious scientific inquiry. While the mystery surrounding these UFOs remains unresolved, the sightings continue to provoke awe and curiosity among the residents of Kendal. Whether they are the result of advanced human technology, extraterrestrial visitors, or something beyond our current understanding, the Kendal UFO sightings remind us that the universe holds many enigmatic secrets yet to be unveiled.

The new normal: Military fighters taking down UFOs..
Think about this.. it was science fiction to predict government officials would orders militaries to take down unidentified aerial objects, of unidentified craft.
But for the third time *that we know of* the United States military took one down.
On Saturday night February 11, there was a long strange odyssey over Montana. The FAA restricted airspace and all eyes were on tanker jets on Flight Aware refueling fighters.. However, we were told in public statements that the military would continue to monitor the object and reconsider in the morning..
So here is the fact that we know, from public official releases from the White House and Pentagon: The US and Canada brought down three high-altitude airborne objects this month, including one Washington said was sent deliberately by China for surveillance. Beijing countered that it was a harmless weather-monitoring device that blew off course...
And now this spicy news from China: They apparently say they have seen an object flying and THEY intend on taking it down over their nation..
WE assume the military knows a bit more than they would tell us, of course, but people are clamoring to know what in the world, or other world, they are. With the silence comes conspiracies.. On one hand we have been worried about World War III, but maybe we missed the beginning of War of the Worlds in the process!
Talking about these objects being anything other than mannade is speculative .. people would slam it as conspiracy. But consider the fact, as we mentioned opening up this post, we have been hearing of the military spotting UAPs for years.. Pentagon officials have silently warned Congress that they did not know what the objects were. Now, after spotting and taking down the Chinese spy balloon, the new objects being shot down apparently don't completely match that M.O.
From news accounts in Canada: The object was “cylindrical” and smaller than the suspected Chinese balloon shot down last weekend, Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand said on Saturday evening. It is not clear what the object shot down over Canada is or whether it is related to the spy balloon shot down last week or the unidentified object shot down over Alaska on Friday.
But it is not just objects. It is lights in the sky as well.
Late last month, mysterious green laser beams were spotted from Hawaii's tallest peak. Experts initially said the burst of laser beams was emitted by a NASA spacecraft though that was proven incorrect this week -- with evidence pointing to a Chinese satellite.
Space experts at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) initially tweeted on Jan. 30 that the Subaru-Asahi Star Camera "captured green laser lights in the cloudy sky over Maunakea, Hawai'i. The lights are thought to be from a remote-sensing altimeter satellite ICESAT-2/43613."
Yes indeed... some may call some conspiracy theorists. But right now, we all maybe just became honorary members in 2023.

As someone who is fascinated with the night sky (not just for UFO's either!) this is amazing work from NASA. It'll also help people sift through what is natural (like Jupiter and Venus being close together being mistaken for UAP's) and what is still unexplained.
Great video from NASA giving a heads up of everything happening in the night sky over the coming month. Here's a link to their homepage for more: https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/skywatching/home/

Okay okay hear me out I am rotating Jean Jacket in my head and while I am kinda sick of sequels, I really want to see more of her species in one of Peele’s future works (at least, a different movie/story in a different location where the stakes and environment would lead to different hunting patterns and adaptations which would then force the new cast to adapt as well or maybe just die idk) so here I am throwing my midnight-fueled brain jam out onto the internet wheeeeee
(Warning for slight spoilers)
- There’s a melanistic variant because that would be cool as fuck. Imagine a black UAP coming out of the sky like a black hole and eating you. Yikes.
- There’s smaller variants, ranging from the size of a large butterfly that sucks up insects and has a pearly appearance, to ones small enough to eat household pets. I’m sure rich weirdos on the dark web would sell them behind the scenes for a pretty penny (imagine having your own pet UFO lol), but good luck explaining to your local neighborhood why their pets have started to vanish.
- Certain species have bioluminescence, which mostly lights up at a defense mechanism or in certain cases, to camouflage against the night sky. People who claim to have been abducted by UFOs simply set off a UAP, but got lucky enough to be dropped, in which their concussed brains imagined being visited by aliens from another planet. Due to light pollution, this form of camouflage has become less effective.
- Some UAPs can grow to tremendous size, and any aerial crafts that enter their territory and look into those giant eye-mouths are good as gone.
- Aquatic variants, because why not. They turn upside-down when they feed, forming a whirlpool that sucks in everything in its path, from fish to unlucky vessels.
- The Bermuda Triangle could be a possibly feeding ground for a very big, very old UAP (electronics start malfunctioning, everything that enters vanishes forever, the setting is almost too perfect)
- Honestly any place where things mysteriously vanish could be a UAP’s territory in the Nope universe.
- While primarily carnivorous, they will suck up dirt and silt and eat the minerals inside, which is why most UAPs are seen in deserts or dry areas with lots of dirt and rocks. They often seek out salt pans due to the abundance of salt and other minerals (and maybe the odd tour group or two).
- UAPs age very slowly upon reaching adulthood. Any scars or chinks in its body can also indicate whether or not a UAP is old or not, but a surefire means of identifying age is unknown and currently impossible to achieve.
- Can either reproduce asexually or form pairs, usually during the warmer seasons every decade, maybe more. The males are usually in their opened, eldritch monster form and do elaborate displays where they sway that green frill around in hypnotic patterns and make themselves look at big as possible. It’s different from the snappy, quick pattern Jean Jacket was flashing in the movie. These rituals happen high up in the atmosphere where humans cannot see them.
- Pairs usually only stick together for the gestation period. The male brings food and drives off threats, but once the eggs are laid, the male dips and moves on until the next season.
- The eggs form a thick mucus coating that allows it to attach to the female in a sticky protective sac that insulates heat and provides nutrients. The female can’t hunt during this time, so she has to eat a lot beforehand in order to last long enough to see parenthood through.
- The sac explodes and the babies attach to the parent, only occasionally detaching and floating around. The residue from the egg sac is known as star jelly. Animals can eat the jelly, which is why DNA traces from said animals usually end up on it.
- The infants look like disk-shaped jellyfish upon hatching, but their bodies become more matte and tough as they get older. They fully detach from mom after about 3-4 years, but still remain close for protection from other wildlife. They start out the size of Frisbees, then grow to about the size of a small car, then eventually reach the size Jean Jacket is in the movie, in which they leave to seek out their own territory, or are driven out by the parent.
-The species only reproduces once (maybe twice if lucky) in their lives, so they are very protective of their young until they reach adulthood, even if many of the offspring die before their bodies harden, with only a small fraction of the many small babies surviving, and even less making it to adulthood and independence. The stakes in Nope would’ve somehow been raised of Jean Jacket had babies. There also could’ve been a theme about how baby animals (and kids as well) are usually exploited then get tossed aside for new ones once they reach adulthood/teenhood and stop being “cute”.
- I’m imagining that Jean Jacket is a descendant of the UFO from the Roswell Incident (which in real life was most likely debris from a weather balloon or something), a parallel to How OJ and Em are descendants of the unnamed man on the horse. New Mexico is just a state over from California, after all.
- Jean Jacket is the typical textbook UAP, and I headcanon her to be around the age of a young adult, hence all the aggression towards those who pose a threat to her territory and inexperience when living around humans. Since most UFOs are usually claimed to be metal, I’m assuming that they’re usually kind of shiny or maybe iridescent (to tie in that sea creature vibe), which is why I do headcanon that Jean Jacket is a female variant of her species (emphasis on headcanon) due to her more matte, sand-colored appearance.
-The little nick on her edge is due to another encounter with another member of her species that ended in conflict, due to an accidental trespass on an older UAP’s turf, or maybe in an attempt to fight another member of her species for a another spot.
- She was born the gulch, and and her mother left due to the increase in human activity (The Haywood ranch, Jupiter’s claim, etc.) Upon reaching adulthood, Jean Jacket made the journey back to the gulch, and since the Haywoods (mostly OJ since the dad gets killed eventually and Em was hardly around during that time) were so chill and not inclined to look at her, she just decided to stay there. Animals usually return to their birthplace since they know it’s a safe place to have babies, so she just thought that with the abundance of food, open space, and non-threatening neighbors, it was a good place to settle down in and do what animals do. At least until Jupe fucked up and set her off. God damnit, Jupe.
- Idk what scientific classification UAPs would be in; JJ is shown to be capable of the kind of intelligence found in most hunting carnivores, but looks a lot like jellyfish when unfurled. They also don’t seem to have a visible spine. My best guess as this point would be a very weird flying, intelligent echinoderm, or maybe an entirely new classification of creature entirely.
- Like all wild animals, the UAPs are very unpredictable and dangerous and should never be domesticated, tamed or approached unless with intent and a steady will in the event of intending to break one. But when witnessed from a same distance, they can be just as majestic as any other predator.
