Alright, three days and I have the Jesse designs ready!

I wanted to give all of them more distinct designs than just “suspenders” and “hair-clip” colour to distinguish them, so.

I gave each of them a nickname based on color and tried to differentiate their looks!

Red suspenders “Scarlet” and Golden/Orange hair-clip “Topaz”

These were the hardest I think, cause their look is just so plain and basic…so I added a wee bit of

Green suspenders “Jade” and Red hair-clip “Ruby”

The good ones, the classic, the (possibly) favourite Jesse’s? I wanted to give her a pony-tail, so. Pony-tail.

And male Jesse seems like the guy who likes to be comfy, so, jumper!

Pink suspenders “Spinel” and Pink hair-clip “Peach” Jesse!

They were the clearly “Asian” looking ones- it was SO hard to give them a normal looking skin tone because the Minecraft models look YELLOW and it was so bad.

So yeah, I do kinda like their designs, and I’m a fan of giving Peach the Hairpin instead of hairclip- and changing the suspenders to a sort of hanfu looking top instead.

Blue suspenders “Navy” and Purple hair-clip “Peri” Jesse

I do love their designs. They were the ones (especially Navy) who just looked the most like they came out straight of the 30-40s. So I got em some good ol’ vintage fashion look, inspired by some outfits I saved when I was doing costume research for the 30s to 50s eras.

Also I gave Navy glasses cause he looks like the type to be a smartass.

Salmon suspenders “Cider” and Yellow hair-clip “Sunny” Jesse.

I love them, and they were a bit Korean-inspired, while Peach and Spinel were more on the Chinese side. I do quite like how their shoes and trouser came out.

Catwalk Kitties is a series of anthropomorphic feline fashion dolls who work as models at the Catwalk Kitties modeling agency in Paris, France. Unlike other toys, there was a focus on making sure there was as little advertising as possible-only appearing in a few toy catalogs. The series designer stated that the dolls were designed with the aim of being profitable to Lanard with minimal advertisement:

“With the doll market being incredibly competitive, the goal was to come up with a new idea for fashion dolls that would instantly appeal to girls and be profitable to Lanard without advertising.   I really felt that the only way to compete against Barbie and Bratz, who were both heavily advertised, was to have a new hybrid type of fashion doll.  The idea for the line came from "hands on" manipulations, drawing, painting and markering, on a naked fashion doll body with an enlarged head. I brought a couple of trend tear sheets and  a porcelain cat/ fashion/ collectible statue along with the rough model into a brainstorm  to pitch the idea.  I then worked with and creatively directed the talented group of artists & designers at Lanard to sketch and formalize all of the feline fashions and details that are uniquely the Catwalk Kitties.  Traditional fashion and hair grooming play patterns were used by wrapping the world of modeling around the dolls.”

(The Reef has many saltwater pools for relaxation and community bonding. There are several rooms as well with aquariums, touch pools, and museums about gem history, the Reef, and Pearls, as well as some about marine animals of the galaxy, and one specifically for Earth marine life. There is a main bedroom/relaxing room for Pearls, with carved shell beds afield with soft cushions amd pillows and blankets, with lights that turn off when needed, and doors that open when the guards command it. The gems who maintain the Reef are nicer than they appear, but Reader is still scared of them because of what they did, yet Reader tries to act like nothing is wrong, in case anyone discovers they remember being human. There is a check-up/rejuvenating room, where the Pearls are inspected, and if needed, rejuvenated, so they won't remember being human or anything besides waking up at the Reef. There is art along different walls, murals of different gems and plenty of Pearls, all in different colors and gem shapes. And there are plenty of recreational rooms, for making art or fixing things or reading holo pads or gardening or whatever you could think of...)

This will be added to each Clans page this week, so no worries about asking! Generally, each Clan will have the following Traits be more common:

Shoreshimmer Clan

Webbed Paws ; Developed even further over time with their oceanic swimming tendencies.

Hooked Claws ; Their claws have developed to be more hook-like to aid in catching aquatic prey and for better grasp on the wet rocks of the shore and jettys.

Oily, Water Resistant Coat. Often Two Layers ; soft and downy undercoat for insulation, and the slick outer coat to repel water for their cold and wet environment, especially as they are divers. Not typically too thick as to prevent waterlogging.

Dilute Coat Colors ; Often Blues and Lilacs. Gingers and genetically red cats are more uncommon.

Silver Coat Colors ; Caused by an Inhibitor Gene, different from dilute coats.

Patterns ; Ticked Tabby, Classic Tabby, and Sokoke Tabby are all the most common. Smoke and ghost tabby patterns are quite common as well.

White Spotting ; Typically lower in amount or absent.

Thicker Body Type ; Powerful Legs to Aid in Swimming and higher fat content due to the proximity of the ocean. Thick and rudder-like tail. Their faces tend to be a bit more rounder than average.

Smaller and more Rounded Ears ; to keep water out.

Mutations ; Polydactylism is common among Shoreshimmer Cats, often aids in grip and steadiness along the slippery rocks.

Torrentfall Clan

Webbed Paws ; Same as Shoreshimmer, developed more webbing between their toes to aid in swimming.

Two Layered Coat ; Again, same as Shoreshimmer, due to their aquatic tendencies, two layered coats are quite common. The different being with Torrentfall, their outer layer is more semi-repellent and sleeker, as opposed to oily. They may also have thicker fur types than Shoreshimmer.

Solid Coat Colors ; Varies heavily and runs the full gamut between black to fawn, including chocolate and cinnamon. Dilute tortoiseshells are common.

Silver Coat Colors.

Patterns ; Darker points such as Mink, Seal, or Sepia are common. Mackerel, Classic, Marbled Classic and spotted are common Tabby Patterns. Russian Topaz coats and eyes are quite common as well.

White Spotting ; High gamut between High Spotting to None.

Stockier and Rigid Body Type ; due to risk of fall, they tend to be built Stockier with heavier muscle and high fat content, somewhat helping prevent grievous fall injury. Long and plume like tails to aid in swimming. Strong shoulders, legs and neck. Their faces tend to be more blocky and square.

Smaller and more Rounded Ears ; to keep water out.

Mutations ; Polydactylism is also quite common in Torrentfall for the same reasons as Shoreshimmer. Very rarely one might find the Finnish coat mutation. Heterochromia is quite often, a bit moreso in Torrentfall than other Clans.

Mistshroud Clan

Large Paws and Pads ; Developed to stalk silently through the forest, especially during snowfall season.

Sleek Fur ; The fur among them tends to be sleeker and long, lacking the dual layers that Shoreshimmer and Torrentfall cats commonly have.

Coat Colors ; Varies commonly between black, dilute blue and lilac, and silver. Their coats tend to be lighter to blend in with their misty environment.

Patterns ; Points are extremely common, as well as Shaded, Smoke, and Tipped. Solid coats are also quite common, and Tabby patterns tend to be less commonly found among them. You may rarely find the Finnish mutation or tweed among patterns and coats.

White Spotting ; Averagely they will have medium to high white spotting, with a good chunk being almost all or entirely white. Also more common to have "interesting" white patterns, such as the white back stripe and van patterns.

Average Build ; Large ears to help take in more sound, longer whiskers than average to aid in navigation, and long legs to aid in traversing their territory. Their legs and tail are long, and their paws have developed to be larger for more silent stalking, possibly a trait introduced in history due to a lynx or bobcat. May vary between average to a smaller size generally. Tufted ears are common. Their faces tend to be thinner and angular.

Mutations ; Albinism and Leucism are common among them, as well as Vitiligo coats. The Finnish coat mutation may rarely be found here as well. Heterochromia can also be found here quite commonly.

Thornrush Clan

Strong, Long Fangs and Claws ; To aid in ripping apart tough carcasses such as elk and through plant matter with more ease.

Short Fur ; Lacking the same wet and damp environment that the aforementioned groups do, Thornrush Clan cats tend to have shorter but thick fur and tougher skin, as to protect themselves from the thorns of their environment. Unlike Torrentfall and Shoreshimmer, Thornrush will take on a winter coat and shed it during the summer, maintaining their sleek coat appearance.

Coat Colors ; Very commonly chocolate, cinammon, ginger, and the dilutes of those colors (lilac, fawn, cream, gold). Golden genes (wide-band)((different from the gold derivative of ginger)), and Sunshine coats are relatively common as well. Tortoiseshells of the aforementioned colors are quite common as well.

Patterns ; Tabby markings of all sorts can be found in Thornrush cats. Points are a bit rarer but can be found due to the shared heritage between themselves and Mistshroud.

White Spotting ; low to medium white spotting, higher white spotting tends to be less common.

Large Build ; In contrast to Mistshroud, cats of Thornrush are often larger in stature, and built with lean muscle. Their pawpads are thick and resistant to rough terrain. Tufted ears are common, though their ears are average sized in comparison to Mistshroud. Their faces tend to be broader and angular.

Mutations ; Bobbed tails and no tails are commonly found among cats of Thornrush, as well as curled ears. Wiry fur can be found here commonly as well.

Skyreach Clan

It is to be noted that as the youngest of the Clans, Skyreach has the least dramatic amount of change from their parental Clans, sans a few traits that have been taken on by outsiders that have joined due to Skyreach being the most welcoming of them.

Long Tails and Wide Ears ; Skyreach Clan has developed long tails to help maintain balance along the rocky outcroppings of their home, and large ears to take in and maintain more warmth during sunny days.

Thick but Sleek Fur ; Due to their shared parent Clans, Skyreach cats will have thick but sleek fur, lacking the dual layer water repellent layer that Torrentfall does but having the thickness of Mistshrouds fur.

Coat Colors ; A very wide variety of coat Colors can be found here, none in particular stand out further than others due to not only their shared parental Clan traits, but the traits of loners and kittypets.

Patterns ; Again, a wide variety of patterns can be found here due to the Clans genetic makeup, but spotted tabby patterns and points will tend to crop up a bit more.

White Spotting ; Extremely wide gamut of white spotting can be found here, ranging from none to entirely white.

Thin and Lean Build ; They will more than typically have longer legs with smaller paws, as the large paws of Mistshroud have mostly faded out due to the lack of need for stealth and silence among the Clan. Webbed paws have all also but faded out, with a rare few having either or. They sport large ears and angular faces and long tails that have pluming fur or are thin and whip-like.

Mutations ; Any can be found here, none taking lead over any other, aside from maybe albinism being a bit more common.

These are just suggestions of course, you do not have to make your cats fit into all or any of these categories if you so wish! These are just the most commonly found physical traits and builds, each having been suited for their environments.

Used Worm Man week as an excuse to finally finish these wips of a gem Zedaph and Worm Man redesign that have been sitting in my folder half finished (okay more than half finished) for months. (since mid to late august)

I made these two to be the same gem (ie, Zed is Worm Man, inverts gem to disguise, lie about gem type), but you can also just ignore Zed's weapon and treat them as two separate entities that happen to look similar since -gestures to pyropes hessonites and Garnet-

After designing my own Evil X and Xisuma gem designs, I decided I wanted to look at my zed/wm design again. I wasn't as happy with kinda just making another gem that didn't exist, so went looking for an existing gem that might fit better. And then I remembered the Morganite sketch.

Originally there was going to be a story about the ruby and pearl that make Rhodonite, and the morganite that owned them, but the story was cut. That being said, we did get sketches of her (i think there were like 2). Sketches aren't final of course, but it was the best I had. And I absolutely ran with the fact that she was designed in a kimono.

I started with Worm Man's design, running with the idea that 'wait, a kimono is japanese, the japanese version of a hero is a magical girl!!!' (yes i know that's not actually the case super sentai, kamen rider, etc) So bam! put him in a skirt! The weapon was also designed to be magical girl esque, which is why i say to give Zedaph another weapon if you want them to be different.

Also, if you want any lore, my one bit of potential lore is that since Zed is a morganite, which we know is an elite gem, it could be that he owned a certain trio consisting of a bismuth, carnelian and topaz. But he definitely treated them more as friends than underlings bc being elite is booooring. He wants to do stuff!

Oh and also if you go along with my interpretation of the diamond authority in gemcyt, because of him doing redstone and his whole s8 science thing, gem him really wished he were part of Blue's court.

Considered a few different systems for assigning gems (gemstone family, value, etc.) but ultimately just went with color/relative familiarity of gem. There’s so many cool gems out there~ (I was trying to not be too repetitive with types/use more common ones though Quartz has a million interesting varieties!)

Mega Man, Blue Sapphire Sphere I wavered a lot on his ‘trinket’, Sapphire seemed obvious (especially with Proto being a ruby, both are corundum gemstones) but also considered blue diamond, alexandrite (blue/purple color shift), and aquamarine. For the jewelry, was also considering an atomic model (for chemistry?), a screwdriver, and slightly regretting not considering circlet

Roll, Amethyst Earring: primarily always wanted amethyst, but also considered heliodor, padparadscha sapphire (but it wasn’t quite the right color? and perhaps too obscure), tanzanite, morganite, zoisite, kunsite, iolite, (purple gems etc.) For shape, was considering spikes/fangs though that’s also Treble and Punk’s lol

Bass, Emerald Snake Arm Cuff: loosely based on a real arm cuff I saw in a book. Also considered black diamond, green diamond (he’s the titular ‘diamond in the rough’), and black opal

Proto Man, Ruby Aviator Badge: I went with ruby in the end, which seemed most obvious choice, but also considered red diamond and bixbite (red beryl)

Elec Man, Black Opal Ring: Also considered chatoyant Sapphire, Alexandrite (??? color shift?), chrysoberyl, angelite/anhydrite, and even hawkeye quartz (loosely inspired by a real hawkeye ‘lightning’ ring, before that I was thinking cufflinks, but seemed weird for him to become either a pair of gems, or even a single cufflink lol)

Jewel Man, Colorless Beryl (Goshenite) Monocle - also considered rock crystal, diamond, and Padparadscha sapphire. Apparently both beryl and rock crystal were historically used for eyeglasses. Monocle is a reference to gentleman thief archtypes, also they are just fancy. (Also I realized while drawing this that having a plique a jour monocle chain is probably super impractical, oh well lol)

Top Man, Imperial Topaz  Pendant in a Jeweled Egg - also considered alexandrite and spinel (for the pun, heh) and spessertite

Kalinka/Mega Girl, Rose Quartz Blossom Barrette: Pink :) though I considered other lesser known (but more valuable) pink gems

Quint, Alexandrite Wristwatch: Quint is a time traveler (of sorts), also considered model armillary sphere/astrolabe, a screwdriver, and jade or malachite or nanocrystal

Wily, Agate Cameo Belt Buckle: Loosely inspired by his skull belt in some of his game art, also considered amythist

Dr. Light, Alabaster bead on a bookmark tassel:  Dr. Light likes books! Was also considering rock crystal and goshenite

Ring Man, Zircon Hoop Bracelet: Reference to both his namesake and his carney background. Was also considering class ring (before assigning the ring to Elec Man) and a circlet. ‘Zircon’ just sounds circusy, must be the Z

Magnet Man, Garnet Horseshoe Amulet: garnets are apparently magnetic, also considered fridge magnet

Cut Man, Citrine Paperknife: for obvious reasons. I also considered topaz for the gem

Guts Man, Tourmaline Paperweight: funny/fitting pairing with the paper knife, the shape is in reference to the boulder he holds in game art (for a brief week, was a rock crystal until I realized those are clear lol smokey quartz would have made more sense)

Punk, Spinel Motorcycle Chain: ‘Spinel’ may be a derivative from Latin ’spina’ which means thorn

Rush, Labradorite Bone Collar Tag: Went for the pun!

Treble, Howlite Fang: and ditto for Treble

Rimauru blinked as he moves as he transform back into his human for as he smiles, he walks over to the Fairy Queen, he then bows softly to her and smiles "Hello~ I'm Rimauru Tempest! You must be Elvira. Pleasure to finally meet you. " he said softly as he smiles happily, knowing he can he a bit intimidating, he tried his best to have the softest vibe he can have.

"I hope you're travels weren't am issue, I know City of Tempest can be very rough since we're the furthest of all the nations here. " he said as he walks and moves showing her a place to sit, he looks at her as he can easily tell she was nervous but he didn't bring it up because she was being strong for her kingdom
