How to prepare for JEE Mains Exam - 7 Essential Tips for Every Student
JEE mains are now an indicator for evaluating the top of the most talented students from India. The exam has gained international recognition for its creativity and the ability to think on questions.
In the present, every student and their family have thought about taking JEE's main examinations and getting the top marks to be admitted to one of the most prestigious IITs, IIITs or NITs.
However, the way to this achievement was not easy, and only a handful could make it through the years.
However, today is something else.
With numerous highly qualified teachers, professors and academicians willing to stretch their capabilities to assist students, the possibility of passing one of the most difficult exams in India is no longer a distant possibility but an inescapable real.
Giraffe is different from other coaching schools is focused on bringing these experts into your training routine to help you get the best of you.
In this article, we'll share a few of the tips and techniques we have used to help our students attain the best results and be an integral part of our IIT club.
First, let's begin with the fundamentals.
What exactly is JEE Main?
Reduced for Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main is the first of two JEE examinations. (The second being JEE Advanced).
The test is held annually in The National Testing Agency (NTA) and assists institutions as well as students with the proper admissions process.
JEE Mains is further divided into Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is to be used for admissions to engineering courses and technical programs. While Paper 2 is required to be able to enter B.Planning and B.Arch courses.
The greatest benefit of JEE primary is that it is an established exam structure that it doesn't change each year. This is why a majority of students are able to find JEE main to be the most convenient and the fastest way to be able to join STEM fields, rather than opting for the whole range of JEE.
Since the flurry in 2020 There has been a shift to the organization. This is the current structure that is in the process of being implemented.
What is the significance of important the JEE Exam important?
If you are looking to go into architecture, engineering planning, engineering as well as any other other in-demand fields, you will need to be able to pass the JEE tests.
As you might already be aware, fields such as AI, ML, Blockchain, Quantum computing and many other new technologies have already begun to take their place in the human world as necessary.
The majority of manual jobs are becoming automated, and for the best jobs (and the most lucrative package packages for the year) you must pass the JEE exam to be able to enter the institutions of engineering and technology.
What's the reason why JEE Mains Coaching Essential?
It can be very difficult preparation for JEE mains on your own. There are times when you require professional assistance.
This is the reason why Giraffe will be there to assist you. We want you to be an elite student with the best JEE training with Giraffe Learning!

We've been in operation for more than a decade and the majority graduates are employed by major corporations across the globe following their graduation of IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
You can also join them when we invite the stalwart alumni to provide you with suggestions and techniques.
In the meantime we will share some of the most common techniques and tips we use that can help students earn high marks.
Best 7 JEE Mains Tips and Tips
Let's take a examine the 10 JEE Principal Tips and Tricks
1. Do not choose anything that is that isn't brand new!
Let's be clear about one thing. Tensions are at their most extreme levels when working on JEE mains. Particularly in the days leading up to the exam.
There are many topics to consider and you will have to deal with so many different opinions (from every aspect of the world).
There's no doubt that you're riding in high-stress levels.
One of the most common mistakes the majority of students make, in order to deal with the pressure of school is to choose something completely fresh.
It could be a class or subject they're unfamiliar with, or an unclear (unintelligible) guidance given by an individual in the family.
That is something that you must avoid at all cost.
This can cause confusion and chaos that can render your information inaccessible.
Therefore, stay with what you are familiar with and build it into your most powerful strength.
Revise your work, polish it and expand on your knowledge.
This will give you better options for passing the test rather than going around endlessly.
2. Examine the Subjects where the There are the most questions that are repeated
The next issue is which subject to do?
One of the tasks we perform in our office on Giraffe is to look over several papers from the past years to see what subjects are being discussed, what topics, and which questions are being asked again.
After having examined the questions, we then focus on the topics from which most of the questions are derived.
This way we can help our students identify what questions they should really focus on and which should be ignored.
This is why we see students scoring 99% on the JEE mains.
It is recommended to follow the same procedure.
If you're having a hard moment, call us, and we will assist you.
3. Don't cave to peer pressure
For a lot of students, the exam that they must pass after 12th grade turns out to be a stressful and nerve-wracking experience.
The main reason for this is the insurmountable peer pressure they have to endure.
It doesn't need to be this way.
We advise you to burn and tear away all the negative thoughts you have and remain positive. In the event that you don't, you'll be able to keep your momentum going, but you might be depressed.
Continuously pump out positive thoughts and fill your mind with the most positive people to remain focus.
Additionally, be sure to surround yourself with the right people to ensure you don't be a victim to peer pressure.
4. Review any of your previous attempts
This is only applicable if have tried your hand on JEE more than once.
Think about all the preparation, the test questions, the answers, and all the other things you might (or might not) have committed a mistake.
This will provide you with the foundation for how to begin and what you should avoid.
You can also think about eliminating procrastination, being able to not miss important topics, and avoiding making a few blunders that might have cost you your chance last time.
Do not make the same mistakes, and remain on top of things!
5. Revise and analyze
In the most real-world scenarios you could have just two months to prepare for the final test.
The first thing you must revise each aspect you've studied. This is done to assist you in to retain the concepts and eliminate the misconceptions.
This will make your knowledge stronger and boost your confidence by a large amount.
It's time to put your information on the line. This is where your analysis will come into play.
Take as many of the past year's papers within strict time frames to see what you'd be able to do in real-world conditions.
This allows you to conduct self-checks on areas you could be slipping and also where you'll be able to stay focused.
You can take care of weaker areas in a small amount, but you can also strengthen your stronger ones through continual reworking.
We are confident in our words when we say that you'll feel so happy, relaxed and reassured at the conclusion of this procedure.
You'll be ready to go.
6. Studying with high frequency
The final weeks leading up to the exam are extremely important, therefore you should not be sluggish.
You must become the best version of you. This is only possible by studying with a high-frequency.
It doesn't mean you have to change into a cave-dwelling animal. It simply means that you need to be able to get things accomplished for the exam.
This also means that you need to study in advance for JEE Mains examination as if it were tomorrow.
Although a lot of people don't believe it, a regular exercise routine every day can actually increase you confidence, help release dopamine and happy hormones and force your brain to perform better.
Make sure you do that important exercise every day.
7. Get the help you need.
It's not unheard of to get to a point in your preparations where you'll require assistance.
If you reach the point of no return, seek assistance from certified experts instead of random individuals.
You could also select the most effective books to prepare.
By doing this, ensure that you remain on the right path and not wander off.
You could think about Giraffe If you're looking for a place to receive personalized support to our students and provide them the highest quality education.
and that's how to get ready to take JEE Mains!
Follow these seven steps to the point and you'll be able to pass the JEE Mains.
Don't give in to anyone who says you aren't good enough. Be confident in yourself and you will succeed.
We're always there to assist you.

Understanding JEE: Joint Entrance Examination in India - ACEIT Jaipur
Selection of a career based on interest, monthly salary, expected income and future demands for your skills and knowledge are few things that need to be considered by every student while selecting their career choices. It is a very crucial task to select the right career for their future in today’s era. School is the best place to identify the areas of interest. If science and technology pull you towards itself and grabs your attention while choosing a career, JEE is the wisest path to follow to achieve the best out of all available options.
Joint Entrance Examination or JEE is an engineering entrance examination for the aspiring candidates even from the top engineering colleges in Jaipur held at national level. The government-based body responsible to conduct this exam successfully is the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). JEE is further divided into two different phases including JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is internationally recognized as one of the most challenging undergraduate admission tests. JEE Mains is conducted by CBSE While the second phase is conducted by IITs on rotation basis.
What Is The JEE Main Exam?
JEE Main is the first phase of the JEE examination. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency or NTA for admission into undergraduate courses at best engineering colleges. Also, JEE Main is the qualifying exam for students who want to appear for JEE Advanced. There are certain factors to understand the JEE exam pattern and other important details. Some of them are as follows:
1. For admission to B.E./B.Tech./B.Tech. M.Tech./Integrated M.Tech. - Candidates must prepare for three subjects i.e., Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The mode of examination is the Computer Based Test (CBT) only and the maximum marks are considered 300. Questions asked are of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) & Questions for which answer is a numerical value.
2. For admission to B.Arch. - Aspiring candidates have to appear for Part I (Mathematics); Part II (Aptitude Test) and Part III (Drawing Test). Part I & Part II are conducted via CBT mode only whereas Part III is conducted via Pen & Paper mode.
3. For Part I, B.Arch. questions consist of Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs & Questions for which answer is a numerical value. And For Part II, there are Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs. For Part III, there are various questions to test drawing aptitude of the candidates. The maximum marks are considered 400.
4. For admission to B. Planning. Course - Candidates of BTech college Jaipur must appear for Part I (Mathematics); Part II (Aptitude Test) and Part III (Planning based questions). All three parts are conducted via CBT mode only.
5. Questions for B. Planning Part I are Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs & Questions for which answer is a numerical value. For Part II and Part III there are Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs. The maximum marks are considered 400.
What Is The JEE Advanced Exam?
The JEE Advanced Examination is conducted by the seven Zonal Coordinating (ZC) IITs across the nation. Admission into all the IITs for all the Bachelor’s and integrated Master’s degree programs from private engineering colleges in Jaipur is based upon the JEE (Advanced) score.
To clear the JEE Advanced, you must first appear for the B.E. /B. Tech paper of JEE Main. You need to be among the top 2,50,000 candidates (inclusive of all categories) to be eligible for appearing for the JEE (Advanced).
What Is The Role Of The JEE Exam?
The Joint Entrance Examination is the full form of the JEE entrance examination. Every year, lakh students pass the 10+2 exam and wishes to gain admission to prestigious institutions. The organisations administering this exam chooses only the best students. Furthermore, aspiring candidates begin to prepare for the JEE exam, which automatically raises their standards. The main purpose of this examination is to choose the cream layer of students from the rest.
What Is The JEE Advanced Exam Pattern?
1. The JEE (Advanced) examination consists of two main papers including Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both the papers are mandatory and consist of three sections viz. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The JEE advanced examination is mainly conducted via ‘Computer Based Test’ mode only.
2. To appear for B.Arch. program – Aspiring engineering candidates have to pass the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). B.Arch. programs are available at select IITs only (IIT Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee).
Tips To Prepare For IIT JEE Main And Advanced
1. Do not check Answers without first Solving the Questions
Rather than viewing solutions first in the solution booklet, individuals of engineering colleges should attempt questions first. Most of them read the questions and, if they find them difficult, they check for the answer. If they continue to do so, they will become dependent on the solutions. Also, they should have a fighting spirit when answering difficult questions and spend approximately 15 minutes on each question before referring to the solutions.
2. Choose Chapters with High Weightage
Some chapters are important from the perspective of the examination. Students should be aware of the exam pattern and the chapter-wise weightage in both JEE examinations. Candidates should know which topics are more significant for exams and which are less relevant and should focus on the topics by analysing the degree of difficulty and weightage.
Must-Have Resources To Score Good Marks
1. Coaching or reading material - There are various books available on the market, but choosing the best reference books for JEE exam preparation is a complex task. Students should choose a book that is appropriate for their level of understanding and comprehension.
2. From Problem Solving to Logical Thinking - If students want to succeed in the JEE entrance exam, they must think logically. This is because the JEE Main exam lasts three hours, as a result, in exams, students should give each section equal time. Therefore, applicants with advanced logical thinking will score higher in examinations.
Conclusion
JEE is recognized as one of the most challenging engineering entrance examinations at the undergraduate level across the globe, and every year around millions of students take up this exam. Thus, JEE preparation demands an in-depth knowledge of the concepts. However, preparing in a smart, systematic and strategized way will greet you with success.

How to crack JEE Mains and JEE Advanced
Tumblr media
Both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are challenging exams to handle. However, if one prepares in a systematic and planned manner, the journey to IIT or any other top engineering college can be real fun. The two exams JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are distinctive in their ways. JEE Mains is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and JEE Advanced by IITs.
Both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are computer based online exams but the formats of the question types in the two exams are different that’s why student get question how to crack JEE advanced.
Distinguishing features of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced
Eligibility Criteria: JEE Mains is open to candidates who have passed the class 12 or equivalent examination in the preceding two years or is appearing in the current year irrespective of their age. JEE Advanced is open only to candidates who have passed the class 12 or equivalent examination in the last year or is appearing in the current year. Further, the candidate must be among top 2,50,000 successful candidates in JEE Mains and less than 25 years of age.
Number of attempts in a year: JEE Mains is conducted in two sessions of 3 hours each. A candidate need not appear in both sessions. However, if a candidate appears in both, then his/her best of the JEE Main NTA Scores is considered for preparation of the Merit List/ Ranking. JEE Advanced consists of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each conducted on same day. Appearing for both the papers is compulsory.
Exam Pattern: The exam pattern of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced is different. In the JEE Main exam, there are 20 MCQ’s with single correct option and 5 MCQ’s of numerical type where a numerical answer has to be keyed in. For the last 3 years (since the onset of Covid), there had been 10 MCQ’s of numerical type where the candidate is given an option to choose any 5 MCQ’s. In JEE Advanced exam, there are a few MCQ’s with single correct option, a few MCQ’s with one or more than one correct options, a few MCQ’s of paragraph type, a few MCQ’s of matrix match type and a few MCQ’s of numerical type.
Syllabus: The syllabus for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced is almost the same that covers the 11th and 12th class syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Difficulty Level: The questions asked in JEE Advanced paper are considerably more difficult than JEE Mains as they are meant for students who have already qualified in JEE Mains and are among the top 2,50,000 rank holders.
Scoring System: Both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced follow a negative marking system with the criterion of negative marking different for different sections of the paper.
Admission to Institutes: JEE Mains consists of two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning. Through JEE Advanced, IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelors, Integrated Masters, Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Architecture. Some centrally funded institutes that use JEE Advanced ranks are Indian Institute of Science, (IISc), Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), and Indian Institute of Petroleum & Energy (IIPE).
Strategy for preparing for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced
In today’s competitive world, preparation for any exam needs to be systematic and methodical. To be successful, you need to put in hard work with lot of dedication and discipline. As a first step, you must analyse your true capabilities. Every individual is different and so is his area of strength and interest. You must follow your passion and make a career in the area of your strength. Decide and choose your career path early and start working towards it.
For the best result, student needs to make a strategy on how to prepare for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Remember, only 1% of the applicants for JEE Mains (after qualifying for JEE Advanced) are ultimately offered seats in IITs. We’re going into detail about the strategies one might use for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced preparation.
Set realistic goals to achieve your dreams — Only by setting and meeting realistic goals, you achieve success. Goals help you to stay focused on what you want to achieve. Write down your goals, and believe in yourself and take daily consistent action.
When to start preparation — If your aim is JEE Advanced, the earlier you start, the better. Though it may be alright to start in class 11th, but I would personally recommend to start in class 9th which gives the student a phenomenal edge over others. However, it is important to study at your own individual pace while enjoying every moment of it.
Choose the Mentors Wisely — This is the most difficult thing to do. There are 3 characteristics of a good Mentor. He must be technically very sound, must be a good motivator and must create a system to be able to give personal attention to each student.
Choose the Books Wisely — Instead of collecting a lot of study materials, it is best to focus on one or two books only that are exhaustive, contain a large number of practise problems in a well-structured manner and most importantly, their proper solutions provided for the student to refer.
Stay relaxed, relish the process — Stay relaxed and take it easy. If your approach and planning is proper, believe me, the process of IIT preparation is full of excitement. What is required is your own conviction, motivation, professional guidance, simple tools for solving problems fast and immediate clarification of doubts as they come.
Divide preparation in different levels — Study with a step wise approach. Whenever you start a new chapter, first complete the NCERT level including all derivations that may come in board exams, then practice all problems of JEE Main level and finally practice all problems of JEE Advanced level. This will make you feel more comfortable and you will be able to complete the chapter much faster.
Do not fret over failures — Keep in mind that any competitive exam contains easy level, medium level and difficult level problems. If you are able to solve medium level problems with accuracy, you will obtain a very good rank. So, during your preparation, do not worry if you are not able to solve difficult problems. Just keep them aside to tackle them later or simply ignore them.
Don’t compare with others and don’t follow others — Concentrate on your studies. Don’t worry about what others do and don’t get influenced by others. Everyone is different, have different way of grasping and presenting things. Be focused on your own target.
Form a Preparation Schedule — Task the plan and plan the work. A well-planned schedule serves as the cornerstone of preparation focused on results. As we have only 24 hours in a day, do not target on the number of problems to be practised in given time, but target on the amount of time to be devoted on a particular topic and be content with whatever number of problems you are able to practise in that time frame. This will help you in relieving pressure which is seen in students preparing for the competitive exams.
Work smarter rather than just harder — It is the Quality over Quantity which is more important. Studying with concentration and analysing the principles and concepts with a clear mind will bring in efficiency and you will be able achieve the same targets in much less time
Speed and Accuracy — You must solve a problem correctly the very first time. There is no room for an error as this would severely affect your rank. Solving problems accurately becomes our habit which can only be inculcated by practice. Accuracy can never be compromised with speed.
Focus on solving the problems fast — To obtain a good rank in JEE Mains or JEE Advanced, just solving a problem is not enough. Focus must be on how to solve a problem fast and that too without compromising on accuracy. Note that speed can be increased only by a better approach to solve the problem in a very relaxed manner rather than solving by longer method and hurriedly skipping steps. While practising assignments, make it a habit to think of alternative approach to solve the same problem.
Keep formulae handy for easy reference — Do not put yourself under pressure in memorising formulae. Just keep them handy for easy reference. As you keep practicing problems, you will experience that with continued usage of formulae and concepts, they easily become your own property.
Make your own short notes — This is a very useful technique for many reasons. Firstly, making notes automatically brings in a lot of concentration. Secondly, you generally write only after giving a sufficient thought and analysis. Finally, these are your own notes. They help you in your quick revision.
Physical exercise or playing — Engaging in some physical activity is recommended. It is good to simply do some jogging. This gives your body and mind the much needed break and relaxation.
Develop an exam strategy — Start with the subject you are most comfortable with. Time being always scarce, pick out easy problems first and do not waste time in problems that you find difficult. Last but not the least, do not worry if you are not able to solve problems. You can still obtain a good percentile. You may think of it as an opportunity, if the paper is tough for you, it must be tough for others too. Let others panic, you need to maintain your cool and solve whatever problems you can in the allotted time.
If you carefully follow these recommendations, you will enjoy every moment of the learning process in your journey to success. You may require a positive push from the best physics teacher for JEE. We advise you to join Pradeep Agarwal Academy for a trusted JEE tutoring programme as soon as possible.

AP, Telangana and Karnataka students shine in JEE Advanced, NEET UG
Students from Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, have been doing consistently well in JEE Advanced and NEET exams for a decade, now Karnataka students have also improved their performance in the NEET UG 2021 and 2022.
The academia attributes students’ success to the presence of multiple medical colleges and the influence of elite institutions such as IIT Hyderabad, IISc Bangalore, and NIT Warangal in the three states and the presence of several multinational companies that create many career opportunities in these states.
The JEE Advanced and NEET data from these states paint an impressive picture. Four students from Telangana were among the top 50 scorers in NEET 2022 and 61.77% of students qualified the exam from Andhra Pradesh.
In 2022, four students from AP made it to the top 10 in the JEE Advanced 2022. In 2021, 27 students from AP and Telangana made it to the top 100 and three of the top 10 rankers were also from Andhra and Telangana. In 2020, the two states contributed 25 candidates to the top 100 list.
In 2022, three Karnataka students made it to the top 10 in the NEET UG results, nine students from Karnataka were among the top 50 ranks. The number of students from Karnataka securing the top 10,000 ranks in NEET-UG doubled in 2021. A total of 436 students made it to the top 10,000 as compared to 351 in 2020 and 198 in 2019.
Combining syllabi gives an added advantage
“JEE and NEET are two of the most competitive examinations in the country. To top them requires strong basics, targeted practice, dedicated time and effort. Traditionally, most students in Hyderabad begin their preparation from class VII or VIII onwards. Several of them enrol in schools with an integrated curriculum, that combines the board syllabi along with the course of the competitive exams. Over the last few years, we have seen improvement in Bengaluru results,” says Prameela, HoD, Academics, The Narayana Group, placing emphasis on targeted practice with clear goals that give students who have an early start, an advantage over their peers who focus only on the board exams until class XI and then decide to attempt JEE Advanced and NEET.
Schools and coaching centres have customised their curriculum by combining topics from the syllabi of the several boards. “The focus is on conceptual understanding and the programmes are offered based on student's abilities. Students who have technical knowledge get absorbed in different fields, for example, many engineering graduates are also getting into IAS services. Engineering students are also making varied career choices, after completing the BTech degree, some students study subjects such as Technical Law. Similarly, those who may not want to practise Medicine have the option to work in pharma companies and in other allied fields in these states,” says N Shyam Sunder Sagar, assistant professor, ECE, GITAM (Deemed to be University).
Though the majority of students may not know much about the presence of top MNCs in Hyderabad or Bangalore, there is an indirect bias and peer pressure among parents and students. “They get inspired by the neighbourhood success stories. They may also observe the latency faced by the students from backgrounds other than these two. Furthermore, there is an intrinsic mindset that through such courses, migration to other countries becomes easy,” L Koteswara Rao, principal, College of Engineering, KL (Deemed to be) University, Hyderabad Campus.
More investment better results
Tumblr media
Nitin Vijay, founder and MD, Motion Education, says that Hyderabad, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have the highest concentration of medical colleges this is one of the major contributing causes to the students’ success. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have the third highest number of seats in government medical colleges behind Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. There are the third-highest number of seats in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for both government and private medical colleges only behind Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. In addition, the majority of South zone students choose P/C/M + B as their elective in the curriculum after class 10, which reflects the region's educational culture. The same is true for JEE as well, given that the South zone is home to some of the top engineering schools, including IIT Madras, NIT Trichy, and others which adds to the determination.
