every blue moon I get the occasional coai/shinshi post on my twitter feed and. God. Reading the quotes on some of the posts just makes me a little glad I stopped interacting a lot with the dcmk fandom,,, seriously forgot how insane some shinran stans are.

The audacity these people have to go quote a persons ship art and say nothing but extremely negative things about a pairing that we know will never be canon. The bashing in the qrts just had me like ??? Was this necessary???? What did you gain from this ???

I know this has been a problem in the fandom since forever but 🤷

So when Blood Meridian gained recent popularity – especially on Twitter – I’ve seen some concerns about Judge Holden becoming a “Literally Me” character.

Let me just say, Judge Holden is introduced spreading misinformation and false accusations – got people riled up and angry by taking his word as fact – got clout for it, and continued to do so even after confessing to lying and making his claims up.

I’m just saying, if anyone was a “Literally Me” character on Twitter and Tik Tok, it’d be the Judge.

Because of some recent thing, I've witnessed in real time I wanna say this for people that wanna work on a group work project AND wanna get paid for it.

Do your assignments, and talk to your boss. If you're not feeling well enough to work on said project, ask for sick leave. You are not the only employee that your boss has to accommodate especially when they need to figure out how much they need to distribute that pay.

I know all too well how easy it is to get caught up in your own emotions when you have personal stuff going on, but you can't just dick around, deny accommodations, go over the hours they told you not to take, and then get mad when your coworkers are justifiably frustrated at not knowing how to help you while also trying to meet deadlines.

one of the stupidest things I think I've ever seen on twitter was some guy saying he didn't need to respect people pronouns because people need to earn respect so I'm guessing his logic was only respect pronouns of people you know.

which is fucking stupid because by that same logic no one truly deserves respect if you don't know them meaning that say sexual harassment is totally ok if not someone you respect.

everyone deserves some level of basic human respect and it's shockingly not hard, you don't even need to like the other person just don't misgender them, or bark at them, or ignore personal boundaries.

I’m playing with the idea of making tumblr my main social media site again, Twitter is so exhausting. Also I got a spam message here and with two taps on my phone I marked it as spam and it’s gone and I’m reminded that Elon literally doesn’t care about the bot problem on Twitter. He just thinks everyone who doesn’t like him is one and uses it to make the place worse for people who don’t want to give him money.

The reason King and James are in these screenshots is that both of them were extremely critical of the Twitter Blue subscriptions. 

So this isn’t really “Musk is giving celebrities free blue checks (that are worthless for the reasons celebrities have need of them).”  This is Musk using his control of the site to make it seem like the people critical of him were being hypocritical and actually bought their Twitter Blue checks once they were forced to.

So today was the day that they got rid of legacy checkmarks on Twitter, giving people a valid reason to block checkmarks on sight.

hey. I guess the Toh fandom is having a big fight on Twitter??

But I have no clue what's going on over there cause I don't use Twitter for this reason. It's the Star wars fandom discourse all over again..

And now the fight is being brought here.

Twitter is where the worst types of people get together and form their own echo chambers of things that they want to hear/agree with. Anything other than that is met with vitriol. And unfortunately the Twitter-Tumblr pipeline is quite prevalent, so I’m not surprised to see it migrating here.

As for the TOH fandom, I knew when I got into the show last year to avoid the general fandom. I learned my lesson from Star Wars and Voltron (or just about any franchise with strong themes of escapism and power fantasies, they tend to have the most toxic fandoms).

So yeah I’ve been out of the loop. But from what I observed through the sect of the fandom that I do interact with, it’s pretty nasty. Which makes me happy that I’ve been avoiding them.
