I'd argue that he technically is a 'poor boy' with a lot of insecurities (and likely having no parents around, only his sister and his grandpa when he's not at work) that make him act out the way he does, just not strictly an abused kid.
At least that's my idea of him. Most of the abuse in that theory that rubs me the wrong way is just how it makes prof. Oak out to be uncharactically malicious for no other reason than being an old man and as we know all old men are evil and old-fashioned./s
(Even though he only ever put his foot down when he saw his own grandson throwing a fit at the end of the first game, giving him the whole 'power of friendship' lecture, cause well that was the core of the game, and he was an asshole for a good majority of it)
Like, the replies say he's an 11-year-old kid with a busy old man that isn't home often as a parent. Like I'm sure it's an interesting idea for a lot of people, I just think it's better if he was just an asshole kid. XD
Going to be perfectly honest, I really do not vibe with the "Blue was abuseed” theory. If anything, he just comes off like that one kid that places all their social value on how skilled they are compared to other kids.
If anything, it kinda feels like he was somewhat spoiled as a baby, where he just did not know what to do when it turned out other kids can be as smart and skilled as him.
I get it might be an 'interesting' take for some people, but I kinda prefer him to just being an asshole kid, then grows up to not be an asshole.

i just saw a post on reddit titled "the writer is cooking but the food doesn't agree with me" and it was about OP clicking off a fic because they don't like the direction it's going in. slightly different context but can we all be more like this reddit OP. i think "the writer is cooking but the food doesn't agree with me" should be the new "don't like don't read." dead doves may give you diarrhea but don't make that everyone else's problem.

This was found at an Exxon gas station in College Station, Texas. A woman entered the women's restroom and heard a weird noise and luckily she grabbed the door before it shut. She noticed that on the top of the door was an electronic lock that could be controlled remotely. The lock was on the OUTSIDE of the door and could trap someone inside the bathroom. Shelby recalled the "irate" gas station employees telling her that she couldn't take photos or any footage inside. The workers gave her "I'm watching you" looks and repeatedly gestured by pointing two fingers to their eyes and then at her. She called the cops, and the workers told the police that the lock was in place to prevent a “large” group of men from entering to “destroy” the facility. Shelby noted that the authorities agreed that this was “sketchy” and “didn’t really make sense” because the lock would not prevent anyone from actually entering the restroom. Weirdly, the cops said they couldn't do anything about it. So someone called the fire marshal's office and they came down and removed the lock, citing it as a fire hazard. Shelby stressed that she made these videos to warn the many “vulnerable young girls” who live near nearby at A&M University.

like i'm sorry but we as a fandom have to stay firm on our anti-AI values. we cannot suddenly start giving AI a pass when it's something we "want to see" like destiel kisses. it's not suddenly fine. we're not going to start using AI to make fanfic scenes come to life or audio AI to make characters "say" stuff we want to hear. you have GOT to be firm on your anti-AI stance. if you start making exceptions then suddenly anything will fly. fandom is for real art and creations made by real people. no AI fanfics. no AI art. no AI rendered "bonus" scenes. no AI audio. none of it has a place here.

As much as I found Ryza 2’s synthesis mechanics addictive, I actually kinda like how Escha & Logy’s mechanics actually incentivize you to use every aspect of it for the best results.
Both Ryza 1 and 2 had this thing where it was kinda cozy only to blind sight me with a difficult end boss where I need to use every bit of knowledge I was never pressured to use.
I kinda got the hang of Ayesha’s, but by the end of the main game I found myself with so little time to put that to use for any of the superbosses available and I don’t know if I have the fortitude to get the golden ending

Remember when the "male gaze" actually served as a commentary about how women lived in fear of being preyed upon and used by predatory men that feel like they "deserve" a pretty thing and not be overused by social media as a blanket statement that just says "men think women pretty".

One of the funny things about Ayesha's writing is that, all considered, she doesn’t really develop through the course of the game and that's Good, Actually. Like yeah she learns a lot about stuff and steels her resolve, but Ayesha begins the game with all relevant life skills needed to be an alchemist, a deep sense of ethical AND professional responsibility, the determination to save her sister and coping strategies for her ADHD. She ends the game with more or less the same base personality characteristics she begins the game with. She just, like, learns how to make bombs about it.

consider the following: they're being so quiet about it because they knew it'd be absolutely hilarious to watch the skongers lose their collective shit over silksong not being a major announcement
Honestly, that would be so valid of them.
