I felled my foe in Majora's Mask! But look at the difference between using the Giant's Mask and not using it. Look how far away I actually was, and also the size of the Heart Container and Twinmold's mask. Such details, even for a N64 game.

This is Centro the Twinmold, he lives in the Gerudo dessert under the sand. He is a black Smith. He may be blind but a great use in tools, his shaggy skin may be looking like skin. But they are resistance to heat meaning he can swim in lava, and touch a million degrees burning steel. He can help with armor or weapons to upgrade. do not be fooled, he smells you well

He wore a cloth to his face. His eyes are not suppose to be shown to anyone unless you liked to turn into GOLD.

Parallels between these two and their battles (from @rinja-espurr's fantastic reblog):
Big scary floating face -> tall lanky guy who spends the phase running around in a silly manner -> a climactic final showdown
The previous four bosses are utilized in some way (Pizzahead summons them for the 3rd phase, and during Majora's first phase the masks of the bosses come to life to attack you)
The music goes from ominous to chaotic to intense over the course of each phase
Their second phases have random and/or unpredictable movement/attack patterns
I can't be the only one who sees it, right?

"Your true face... What kind of... face is it? I wonder... the face under that mask... Is that... your true face?"
—Twinmold Child from Majora's Mask
Late Halloween art! It’s such a relief being able to finally liberate this project from my WIPs purgatory.
I haven't posted any development processes in a while so I wanted to share this one. It's interesting being able to see how much something can change from beginning to end. Just before I posted this I remembered the first sketches were still jotted down in my old sketchbook from well over a year ago. I found them and thought they were amusing, so I've squished them in there as well.

Great King, in the past you took care of a great bird you called "Helmaroc King." What is he a king of if I may ask. There are countless, though very rare and valuable, feathers as well as capes MADE of said feathers called "Roc's feather" and "Roc's Cape," typically electric blue in colour. Many copies of the legendary Pegasus Boots also use said feathers to achieve the speed they offer and in some cases temporary flight. There are countless mentions of these artifacts through out every era in every timeline, yet not ONCE in any record or account does a "Roc" or "Helmaroc" exist beyond your avian king. Let me be clear, I do not doubt the validity of the dear bird's royalty nor your judgement to recognize it, I am just baffled by this elusive magical creature known as "Roc" and how it has managed to avoid any and ALL documentation and whether or not it TRULY exists! There are sparse mentions of "Kargarocs" but none of them have feathers matching the features of ANY of the relics, blue or otherwise, in addition to lacking any ability to make ones body, quote "light as a feather" so SURELY they cant be said legendary "Roc" or "Helmaroc." I figure should anyone in any realm or land know the answer to this mystery, surely someone as wise and experienced as yourself would know. I didn't want to ask you at first because why trouble you and take away your time to hand me an answer with no effort put in on my part when I could find the research myself through hard work and effort, but I have poured YEARS of my life into this research, been to practically every land, kingdom, realm and island searching for any record of this elusive blue bastard and I am confidant I have followed every possible lead and have found NOTHING. Please Mr. Dragmire sir, please tell me you know what a "Roc" even is and its relation if any to the Helmaroc King...
A Roc in Hyrule is a large predatory bird, with many branching subspcies. Kargoroks are a common subspecies.
To give you an example of my meaning, a Mol is simply a large beast that burrows in the desert, but there are many forms such as Twinmold, Molgera, and Molduga.
The Helmaroc King was the largest and mightiest Kargoroc. He is more akin in size to a true Roc, though he is a Kargoroc.
Does this give you the answer you seek?

Do you think that after the panic from getting teleported, from the last few seconds slipping through his fingers, Link opened his eyes, squinting at the harsh sunlight and only able to see the vague outline of a giant tree casting shade over a landscape of green and playing children
For just a moment he untensed, for the first time in a long time he forgot where he was and smiled, until his eyes cleared and he saw it for what it really was
A world too unreal to be real, like looking at a child's drawing of a place instead of seeing it
Do you think he felt guilty, about relaxing in that moment
Do you think he faltered when the children came into view, as he stepped closer
Do you think he felt a twisted kinship with Majora, The child who was different, left out as his peers played in the sun
Do you think he saw the other Kokiri in the four children
Did he shamefully recall Fado as Odolwa mused, one who had always been friendly to him but spat venom when he let her guardian die, the only Kokiri to warn him of the dangers of the lost woods, did his betrayal hit her hard, did she sit after he left and think over every interaction with him, did she think he didn't see her as a friend
Did he remember three brothers when Goht asked, wanting for knowledge about things they shouldn't know, and knowing things they could never understand, hungry but sheltered in the forests branches, never able to understand the knowledge they had
Did he think of Mido when Gyorg spoke, desperately grasping for the right thing, for leadership, for the ability to make sure the other Kokiri stayed happy
Did he think of Saria at Twinmolds words, forced to wear the mask of a leader, of a sage, of a protector when she was just as young as the children around her
Did he accept that mask from Majora because he saw a fragment of himself in the mask, playing at heros and villains, did he see himself as bad for running that first time and every time after it, did he see himself as bad even now, still running to get away from the fate bearing down on his shoulders as it followed him anyways?
