Demon Twins AU Idea
(Got a little carried away, but here you go! Short version: while Damian learns from their father, Danyal is investigating the Fentons. They try to do a vivisection on Dami, and Danny is NOT having it. He goes a lil berserk)
When Damian al Ghoul is sent to learn from the Bat, Danyal is sent on a long-term undercover mission.
Two scientists, Doctors Jack and Madeline Fenton, had discovered a new type of Lazarus Water. Danyal was to be adopted and report back on the differences between the Pits and this “Ectoplasm.”
One day, just a year into his mission, Danyal is investigating the nonfunctional portal when a large bookshelf covered in various samples topples, forcing him to duck into the portal and, unfortunately, the “on” button.
Danyal al Ghoul, the Shield to the Heir of the Demon, dies.
When ghosts begin to come through the portal, Danyal fights them back with an ecto-scimitar and a quiet determination that the American Government discovers nothing about the paranormal invasions.
When the Fentons find out that Danny is a halfa they don’t rush in, they’ve seen Phantom fight. They bide their time, creating a ghost-specific poison of diluted blood blossoms, slipping it into his food.
Danyal realizes he’s been poisoned too late. (Damian would be disappointed)
When he comes to, he’s strapped to a metal table in flimsy paper clothes. He feels weak, like if he sat up he would pass out.
Jack and Madeline are standing above him.
“Look honeybun! It’s awake!”
“Thank you sweetie! Now,” Madeline says, “while I am impressed that you managed to pretend to be human for so long, you did make a mistake.” She smiled, turning to rip a sheet off of-
Damian.
(His twin, his brother. He looks like he has been dragged to hell and back already, bloodied and barely breathing.)
“You really shouldn’t have based your human form on a celebrity child.” She taps a finger to her chin, thinking, “The real question is who should we start with? The monster or the template?”
“I say start with the boy lovekins. I wanna know what made him easier to mimic than anyone else.”
When Madeline picks up a scalpel, Danyal glares.
When she walks towards Damien, his twin freezes.
When she moves to cut into his twin, all The Shield can see is green.
When it fades, he is clutching his Ahki to his chest in Nanda Parbat.

The whole thing was crushing to Zim in away few other things had been. The death of Miyuki. The Trial. That one time he'd gotten his head stuck in tear in reality.
Skoodge tried to help. So did GIR. Computer. The defective human didn't bother, but she'd try comfort the accomplished invader. Gaz had been there a few times she couldn't look him in the eye. He preferred it that way anyway.
It was a reality check. A nasty, bloody one. A glimpse into a full blown nightmare, that could have been the rest of his existence, only ended by that stupid, ugly faced Skoodge, who was far too kind for his own good, too loyal, and the two human girls that openly disregarded him.
HE showed up once. Managed to slip passed the defense systems while Krysa was dropping stuff off for Skoodge. She smashed a bottle over his head before anyone had a chance to react. Zim had probably the worst panic attack he'd ever had. Gaz was called apparently. She dragged him off threatening Krysa if she tried anything else. The girl rolled her eyes. Skoodge though, Skoodge was enraged over the whole thing.
"The only reason he isn't dead yet is because of you!" He jabbed Gaz. "You said you'd take care of it!" A step forward. "You said Zim'd never see his face again. So, why in the fuck is he here?!"
Gaz looked at him with wide eyes as she held her weakly struggling brother. She opened her mouth to speak, but caught the glimpse of a grin from the other girl. Her blood boiled.
"What are you smiling at?" Venom dripped from every word. Krysa's gaze snapped from Skoodge to Gaz. She motioned dismissive to the Irken. The gamer growled.
"Great! Not even an answer," Skoodge's held his head. "Get out."
Gaz wanted to argue, but Dib was began to struggle against her.
"NOW!"
"Fine." She began to drag him out.
"There's no next time!"
"I know," she mumbled.
They watched her go. Listening as the door slammed. Then a bit more. Eventually the Skoodge's shoulders dropped.
Krysa touched the irken's shoulder, glancing over it at his face. "I didn't know you had it in you to yell like that."
Skoodge flinched and shrunk in on himself a bit. "Uh, yeah... I guess sorta lost it." He sighed. "That wasn't very mature of me, huh?" A shameful blush enveloped his face. "I hope Zim didn't hear that," he whispered into his hands.
Kyrsa twirled around on her good leg and grabbed one of the grocery bags from the floor. "I'd disagree, but honestly, is it really a problem if you were?" She placed the items into sink after shaking off the glass shards. Metal claws picked up the pieces.
Skoodge didn't know how to answer that, instead he looked at the floor.
"I need to check on Zim."
She turned on the tap washing blood and sauce down the drain.
Zim was huddled in his blanket, GIR laid a top his head and neck half hugging him, half patting him. "Shoosh shshoosh shu. Take the piggy. Take it," the robot pulled a pig from his head and shoved it into Zim's face. The Irkens breathed harder. GIR frowned and tucked the piggy into the blanket. "There!" He slid off Zim landing on his head.
But his master wasn't smiling still. He shook violently, wrapping the fabric around him as tightly as he could as his PAK made an skipping whir. With each skip there'd be this quiet almost snapping noise, accompanied by a fully body flinched. Sweat poured down his face.
GIR's frown deepened. He waved his hand infront of him, but was distracted by the magenta that colored it. "Ooo." The eye glow wasn't new, but he'd never noticed how the light bounced before. He flexed his tiny hand.
The stitches were impossible to ignore. They should have been healed by now, but they weren't. Somehow he knew they never would be. They tugged tightly on his skin, feeling as it they tear it if he didn't just stop breathing. He wanted to stop. Or at least slow down. But he couldn't. Not after HE broke into his base again.
Everyone wanted him dead. Zim was painfully aware of that. From the moment he'd shoved that smeet back into the chute. He'd placed a curse upon himself. Countless times as a smeet or in his plug his clutch mates and the smeetry worker or overseers had tried to kill him. Some were direct. Holding him down and trying to rip off his PAK. A handful succeed with dislodging it. Others went with schemes. Handing a tiny Tenn enough poisoned snacks to take the six of the out and making her promise to share with her friends. Only stopped by them getting stolen by Tallers. Their teacher was horrified and furious when he'd found them all dead.
It wasn't necessarily when they'd meet that this desire would develop. But even Red and Purple wanted him dead at this point. They'd used too be the closest to him, so why would anyone else be any different?
It was always his fault too. Zim'd always know that. He shoved his head in the tear. He created the blob. He'd reminisced over the creature to them seconds before it'd eaten Spork. He'd half given up and decided to mess around with HIM.
He couldn't turn off his mind.
Zim weakly struggled against the restrains only half aware of what was going on. It was almost as if his brain meats ceased functioning. HE screamed throwing the phone. The Irken flinched as-
The spear slammed into the ground next to his head. The guard stepping firmly on his chest. Miyuki screamed as the blob tightened it tentacles around her. Her PAK legs shot out frantically stabbing at it. But-
His PAK legs were stuck. The sticky substance had seemed to weld them together. With annoyance Purple pulled out something sharp.
The blade glinted in the light. HE was wearing the sickest grin Zim'd ever seen.
It was suspended in a fluid, cloudy eyes looked vacantly back at him. The skin slightly open revealing a near empty cavity in the torso. The vortian's voice drowned out by the ringing in his ears.
It was pinned down, the tiny, slimy creature's underbelly exposed, a scalpel rested in his own hand. The teacher removed organs from their carcass one by one. Holding each up for the class. He looked back down to the frog, and without much of a thought cut into it.
He screamed and struggled against the restrains. His fog suddenly gone. The blade caught repeatedly on his tunic as it moved. A trail of blood bloomed behind it. The messy gouge only seemed to make the human laugh.
The timer ticked down as he ran for his PAK. Legs weak and heavy, with each step the life seemed to drain out of him. A hand grabbed his ankle. He fell hard. Through blurry eyes he looked down at the half dead Irken snagging him. With a spike of adrenaline he raised his other foot and-
A loud snap echoed throughout the jungle. Red looked at him with terror, then frantically readied his weapon. Zim looked down to find a crushed bone under his foot.
A hand wiggled within his flesh grazing over broken bone. The pain was explosive.
"Zim?" The voice almost seemed as if it was underwater.
The explosive heat that seemed to ripped him apart, that was also a part of him, turned icy cold. His thoughts melting way and dragged on forever at the same time. And he was sure this was how he was going to die.
Zim puked.

Oh holy crap this perfectly fits something I’ve wanted to write for a while!!
She laughed as she was on the swing. She glanced at her sister next to her, who grinned.
After a while of swinging and laughter, they got off.
“Let's get ice cream," her sister said, and she grinned.
"Yeah!"
Bianca grabbed the ice cream, and handed her an ice cream cone.
She gasped, and accepted the creamy, sweet, cold treat.
“It’s so good!” she said. “Bianca, what else are we going to do today?”
“We can go see a movie." Bianca grinned.
“A movie!” She squealed. “Movies are fun!”
The two walked, eating the delicious treat until it was all gone. They spoke about various topics normal for kids their age, like… toys. And… boys?
“Here’s the movie!” Bianca said.
“Woah!” She said, looking at it. “Let’s watch it!”
There was a tug in her lower body, and the world faded around her. She blinked and looked around, the light making the surrounding area blindingly bright, with the walls and ceiling and floor and work tables all looking similar. Her parents were standing over her. Mamá was pulling something puffy-looking, Papá was holding some of their sharp scissors, that were reserved most often for when they tested her limits.
Her gaze drifted, and she looked away, as the chill of the room registered.
Right.
She'd nearly forgotten that her parents had pulled open her torso to dig around and mess with her organs.
Write a happy story without conflict. Then with the last sentence, turn it into a horror story.

The door opened, Skoodge hurried into the room. The sickening smell of blood assaulted him. And unfortunately it wasn’t the coppery smell. His antenna twitched at the quiet dripping sound. He looked through the glass and gasped. Before he’d even realized what it was he was next to the still bleeding irken. The glass around his clatter as he took small steps towards him. He choked back tears as he looked at his mangled friend. With a sharp breath he called out, “Zim?”
He forced through his hesitation. His disbelief. And shoved his guts back in. He quickly tore through the restraints and cradled Zim in his arms.
The irken began to come to struggling as much as he could, but he was weak and drained. Skoodge tensed as he went limp in his arms.
“Stay with me, Zim,” he said shakily. “I’ll get you out of here.” Beneath it all rage began to bubble.
He fled. A trail of pink blood leads to his ship. They were quickly off. Skoodge put it on autopilot as examined his clutchmates injuries.
Scissors snipped through the torn fabric. Carely he pulled it away from the wounds. It caught in areas that had already begun to scab, he snipped there too. I-it’d probably be better to do this in the base… but he didn’t think he had the time. He used what painkillers he could on Zim with his PAK in the state it was. He checked his abdominal cavity for any foreign objects. Wincing and pleading for to stay asleep as he did. He flooded him with healing gel. Hoping desperately it would erase the messy gouges in his spooch. And then he stitched up the worst of it. Neither of them were med drones. But Zim was better with this sort of stuff. He never should have been in this state.
Skoodge shouldn’t have allowed it to happen. And yet…
He was shaking. In rage. In worry. In confusion and fear. He was shaking so much he had to pull himself away in fear that he’d make things worse. It must hurt. It was torture in the truest sense. It must have been unbearable… Unimaginably painful. But it was Zim. It was Zim and he’d be fine. He’d heal. Zim was like him. He always came back. Even when others didn’t. If he died here. He’d be fine later. He’d come back.
The irken hissed, eyelids fluttering.
Skoodge bit down hard on the inside of his cheek and rushed back over to him.
“Hey, it’s gonna be okay. Everything’s gonna be alright.”
Zim looked at him with blank eyes. That horrible whirring started. He needed that thing off his PAK.
They needed to pay for this.
Gently with the paper laid out on his chest Skoodge pushed the irken back down as he tried to raise himself up. “Please Zim… Just trust me and I’ll take care of it. I’ll make sure you’re safe.” He flinched at the touch and began to hyperventilate.
“D-don’t,” he begged, trying to curl in on himself. He was prevented from doing so. Skoodge had gone numb and cold.
“Ship.”
“Yes?”
“Is there anything else we can use to keep him asleep, while I finish this?”

DPXDC Prompt #128 part 1
Danny wasn’t sure what exactly happened, but one moment he was hiding out in an alley trying his best to wrap the bandages around his torso and the next he found himself in front of a clown. His thoughts began to blur further as he began to panic. His first instinct was to tighten his fists and move into a defensive position but when he tightened his fist something happened. The clown that had been right in front of them was there and then he wasn’t. The gun he was sure he wasn’t holding before fired and sent the clown away from Danny.
Shock began to set in as he looked down on what he had done. Everything had moved so fast he couldn’t even comprehend it, he didn’t even get a good look at the one he so swiftly ended. The force of the gun caused him to fall back, breathing heavily he stared at the gun before quickly setting it down on the ground making sure the safety was on, he wasn’t risking another death. With the weapon safely placed on the ground he finally decided to take in some of his surroundings.
His soulmate was wearing a helmet and what looked to be some armor, they were in a warehouse of some sort. Danny had forgotten what it felt like to be human and he’d pay a lot more attention if the panic from murder wasn’t setting in. The clown wasn’t moving, they layed there a heap on the floor… Danny really murdered someone. Okay, he could deal with this.
Who was he kidding what the hell was he supposed to do? It was then that he saw movement from the corner of his eyes and he truly knew he was fucked. Someone was right by his soulmate while he had his gun pointed at the clown, did his soulmate want the clown dead? His mind was still racing incoherently as he tried to piece together what exactly just happened.
A minute passed  or what felt like one, Danny swore Clockwork messed with his sense of time sometimes. He slowly raised his hands after he realized the other wasn’t going to speak, he slowly turned to see the absolute worst person to help in this scenario.
Batman, Danny was pretty sure he was fucked. He was so entirely fucked and it was then that he realized how truly he messed up. His head snapped back over to the clown and yep that’s the Joker, oh he just killed the Joker in front of Batman in his soulmate's body. Did that mean his soulmate knew Batman? Danny was absolutely stunned into silence, he had nothing he could say, who knew his soulmate would have a life probably just as messed up as his.
“Jason…” Batman’s gravelly voice broke Danny out of his thoughts, oh his soulmate's name was Jason.
Danny who finally finds his voice says, “My soulmate's name is Jason?” The voice modulator startled him and it was then that all hell broke loose.
Voices started crackling into his ear with several different people starting to speak at once.
“Did he just say soulmate?”
“Jason this better not be a prank”
“Wait, who pulled the trigger?? I heard that gunshot”
“Enough, keep coms clear” Batman commanded and everything went silent he then turned to address Danny, “come with me, we’ll need to find Jason so you and him will be alone to switch back. We’ll talk about that after.” He didn’t motion with his hands or jerk his head or anything but Danny knew exactly what he meant.
He swallowed harshly and then followed.
—————
Jason found himself no longer holding his guns, no longer in front of the damn clown, and his armor and helmet were gone. He was wearing clothes closer to rags than street clothes and his entire body seemed to ache. This must have been his soulmate's body and they were having a way worse time than Jason was at the moment. There seemed to be hastily done bandages around his waist and he honestly felt like he’d been hit by a truck. He was in an alley thankfully although that also meant he triggered the switch. Everyone knew when you got close enough to your soulmate you switched bodies.
Jason had to get to the closest safe house and hopefully he could do some proper first aid on his soulmate. He stumbled to get on his feet and began to make his way out of the alley.
Im going to update the original post as the master post and you’ll be able to find all future parts there.

"Hmm, perhaps later - for now I wish to check on the status of your delusion. It could have moved out of place", he sounded almost concerned, pulling a stool over to the side of the metal cot, using a pair of scissors to cut away a section of her top as he spoke, "From what I recall I hadn't quite settled on the finishing touches...you may be rather lucky to be still alive...thou perhaps part of that has to do with that new little trinket of yours. A pity those things seem so unbreakable..."
With a sigh and a shake of his head, he leaned in closer, the sharp end of a scalpel soon cutting into flesh as he carefully worked on peeling back layers of skin, "...now...where did I put it again...?". Course, he knew the general location and scanning her would be a rather quicker method of locating where it may have shifted too - but having attempted an escape, such quick painless methods weren't available at the moment.
She only became more afraid as she lost her ability to move. He wants her to be safe? That sounds laughable coming from someone like him, but like he said she would have been killed a long time ago.
She didn’t like her only chance of survival was to accept what would happen next. It’s a world of pain that awaits her. She could try breaking free from the restraints, but if she successfully breaks free, that would only make him mad or more interested in her.
And she can’t tell which one is worse to experience.
Not wanting to say anything to save her breath, she only turned her head to the side to see her restrained arm.
Tumblr media
She muttered under her breath. “What do you plan to do this time? I’m guessing, it’s your way of ‘returning my vision’…”
Naomi could only guess what he’d do, and nothing else.

Technically not vivisection, but still very traumatizing
It turns out the GIW has a new weapon. It’s not an energy blast but instead a shotgun, and the shot pellets have special anti-ghost properties.
And how did Danny learn this?
Well, he got hit by it.
He expected the pain, but not the way his power short-circuited. It was pure luck that he avoided the next shot and that they didn’t get a good look at him. After that, though, his experience allowed him to roll with the chaos and get away.
But the blood and ectoplasmic loss finally catches up with him just as he enters the house. He collapses to the floor, delirious.
That’s how his parents found him.
The realization that their son is Phantom—is a ghost—is shocking, but right now they have a more urgent concern: making sure he survives his injuries.
Taking him to a hospital is out of the question. Never mind if they’d even be able to treat his type of biology, it’d reveal that Danny is… whatever it is that he is. If he could fully return to his human form, they could take him. If he could go fully ghost, his powers might help him recover. But the pellets are still inside his body, still forcing his powers to go haywire.
They need to remove them.
Which means surgery.
Neither of them are professional surgeons, but they have to try.
They don’t have any real anesthetics (would they even work on a ghost?), so they strap him down to prevent him from thrashing. They don’t have blood bags, but Ecto might be able to delay that issue (or would it make it worse? He’s their son, they need to get this right).
They pull out their tools get to work.
And Danny wakes up screaming.

Reluctant War AU Part 3
Part 1 Part 2
More of the brain worm that has taken me over, gonna probably post it to Ao3 here before too long. Already got another part started and so many ideas for additional stuff, someone please send help I've been consumed by this thing lol
Sorry if Waller seems out of character, outside of fandom I'm mostly familiar with her through Justice League the animated show & Justice League: Unlimited and her vibe there has always struck me as "deeply incredibly unlikable character that also kind of has a point but also has done so much fucked up shit in the name of her goals that you don't really care about her point anymore." So you know, complicated lol. If she's completely unrecognizable let me know, but I'm hoping she feels at least somewhat like Waller.
Forgot to say this in the last update, but still feel free to use all this as an overly long prompt if yall want. Literally anything I throw out to the void should be treated as a prompt lol If there's anything at all interesting to you in any of this nonsense go for it <3 <3 <3
---
Amanda Waller was someone who did what needed to be done.
Ruthless, heartless, vicious, cruel.
She’d been called it all. Wore the words thrown as insults as a badges of pride and valor. Because at the end of the day, when it came to the problems she was given to face, the issues she was meant to solve, those words meant she’d done what others had been too squeamish or cowardly to do. Life was a never ending slog of trolley problems and she the only one unshakable enough to pull the levers that needed pulling.
It wasn’t so simple as a matter of greater good.
Greater good was what the weak willed muttered to themselves after having feelings over doing the bare minimum. A justification used by people on all sides to do what they wanted with fractured, faulty logic thrown around like truth was a thing immutable. To assuage their guilt when they were forced to make a call they didn’t want to.
It wasn’t a matter of greater good. It was a matter of preservation. Of protection. Of digging through the filth to find the threats skittering beneath and crush them with ruthless abandon. Of facing a god and not blinking because if you did it could cost the world.
Of doing what needed to be done, no matter how underhanded or atrocious it was.
Hands dirty.
Hands red.
Hands wrapped tight around the throat of something that could threaten to destroy it all.
When the Ghost Investigation Ward had been shoved her way with it’s sucking wound of a budget, it’s bloated incompetent staff, its asinine methods she’d seen a rotted limb in need of hacking off. It hadn’t been until she’d been conducting her inspection, digging through the trash for a few pearls of effective agents she could snatch up and put to work elsewhere, that she’d truly seen what they were working on. The potential.
Potential to better arm themselves with in the forms of the strange new weapons being created.
Potential for threats far greater than anything even she had thought possible before.
The GIW as it had been when she’d first come across it was a fetid waste of time and resources. A laughing stock agency only secret because no one took them seriously enough to look. Made stupid and useless with its own conceited delusions of importance it didn’t actually have. Yet.
She went to work on it. Hacking away as she’d originally intended, but this time with a different goal in mind. She ripped out the weeds with bare, calloused hands and planted proficiency and loyalty in their place. She took over as director herself, tossing the self-aggrandizing fool that had been running the place into the ground to the dogs as the culprit for misappropriate spendings, saving the agency by tweaking things until their ballooning budget was pinned neatly onto the former director as an embezzling charge.
Then she got to work.
The Fentons were brilliant, if entirely insane. But Amanda could work with that. She’d reigned Harley Quinn in - more or less - she could do the same to the two deranged scientists that so eagerly wanted to be apart of the fight against the dead. Especially when the benefit came in the form of the inventions they threw together so easily, especially when those inventions were weapons.
It took very little to get them on board with her plans for the GIW. Keeping their focus could be a chore, at times, but she didn’t even have to really do much in the way of pressing to get them back where she wanted them. They craved knowledge and understanding nearly as much as they craved the eradication of the entities themselves. Letting them have the first look at a new subject here, free reign over a vivisection there, it took so little to fuel their fervor and keep them busy working on the projects she set for them.
Things had been going smoothly.
For a time at least.
Until Phantom.
He’d been the main focus of the previous director’s attention, the big fish he’d so desperately wanted to catch and put up on his wall. Amanda wouldn’t lie and say it wasn’t a tempting prospect, but not one she’d put above the other projects she had set in motion since taking over. No, Phantom was powerful, enough to be a real problem one day, but she could the awkward youth in the way he held himself, the inexperience in how he handled situations. She had time to get everything else in order before focusing on getting Amity Park’s would-be hero brought to heel.
And he would be brought to heel. One way or another.
Hands dirty.
Hands red.
Hands wrapped tight around the Core of a fledgling god and bending him to her will.
An artifact, old an powerful, recovered with some effort. A means of controlling specters, of chaining them to the will of the artifact’s wielder. Dangerous in the wrong hands. Dangerous in the right hands.
It was shattered, and even whole and functional Phantom was resistant to its power. But Amanda Waller prided herself in her ability to see the potential in things. It could be repaired, be made better. Even gods could be bound, be made to kneel, with the right pieces, with the right application of force.
It was just a matter of time to gather everything needed.
Phantom didn’t know he could single handedly destroy every last member of the Justice League. The baby fat, the innocent eyes, the split-second hesitations when he fought. He knew enough to be confident in fighting the usual ghosts that haunted Amity Park, but he still very much saw himself as a little fish. Maybe it was the part of him that was still Daniel Fenton, gangly teenager not quite sure what he was truly capable of yet.
She had time before the Fenton’s son truly became an issue. Time to judge if his parents’ obsessiveness would overcome their - rather shoddy, by Amanda’s estimation - parental instincts and continue to hunt him once they knew the truth. Time to get as much out of them as she could before hand, should they falter at the idea of attacking their own son. Time for the staff to be repaired and returned to working order, to get the other items needed for the truly big fish hidden on the other side of the veil between worlds.
She had time.
Until she didn’t.
Pariah Dark had not been something she thought she’d have to account for - not yet, at least.
If he wasn’t already dead, she’d ring the Ghost King’s neck with her bare hands. His arrival had opened Phantom’s eyes to what he was capable of, of just how big of a fish he was. Worse still, Phantom’s defeat of the war mongering King changed the state of play. Phantom was no longer an impressively powerful half dead teenager.
He was King Infinite.
He was an Ancient.
He was getting on her last damn nerves.
Phantom’s rogue gallery were now firmly under the boy’s control. Still distinct nuisances around Amity Park, but no longer considered true concerns. They were loyal to their boy king, delighting in ruffling his feathers but never crossing the line into treason or attempted regicide. Which meant that the GIW was the only thing that held his attention.
Amanda took the time to send a care package to the former GIW director in his tiny, dank prison cell. As thanks for his carelessness in revealing to the entire town - both living and dead - of the agency’s existence and their intentions. Had he stuck to standard protocol, Phantom would have been none the wiser to their presence. Would have scratched his head and shrugged his shoulders at the ghost that went missing upon occasion. Would have been boredly uninterested in the people his parents had begun working with. Would have been taken by surprise when they finally came for him.
But no.
No that self-obsessed, fame chasing imbecile had to go and announce to everyone and their dead mother that the GIW existed and exactly what it was they were in Amity Park to do.
Phantom knew what they were there to do.
They could only count on his naive certainty that he could broker peace with them for so long.
Peace. As if he and his people weren’t the invading force, the monsters slipping in through the cracks between worlds, the latest threat that had to be accounted for. As if he himself hadn’t rent their world asunder himself in another world, another time. No. Peace was not something they could hash out with this baby-faced monarch with his too-big crown. Peace was the assurance of safety, security. Of control of the situation.
There could be no peace.
The higher ups were somehow surprised when Phantom took that to mean there would be war.
Amanda Waller was not.
The Fentons, as suspected, took the right side when all was revealed. Steady hands and flinty eyes as they crafted the weapons that would be needed for the coming fight. Minds even sharper in their maddened grief, hearts set on revenge for the son lost and the entity that stole his face and friends and sister in his garish pretense at humanity. They were blinded to the reality of the situation in its entirety, the potential in what their son truly was, but at the end of the day it didn’t really matter. They did what she needed them to do, they could believe whatever it was they wanted so long as they did.
By the time the boy king and his armies marched upon the Amity park facility, preparations had been put into place. The base in Amity had been stripped back to bare essentials, everything of importance moved to more secured locations.
The weapons labs.
The artifact.
The girl.
All tucked well away from the front lines where Phantom and his motley crew could not reach. Their time to be put in play would come, but not yet. First she needed to gauge what Phantom and his people were capable of, what they were willing to do in the name of what they wanted. Amity Park was a pawn well sacrificed on that front. As were the other facilities she’d left easy to find.
The problem with making children gods, with giving them crowns and calling them King and giving them armies to play with, was that they thought there should be rules. That even in the trenches tearing apart their enemies, there was a certain level of playing fair that everyone was held to. They thought there was a way the world worked, of how things should be that blinded them to more effective options even as time stretched on and desperation set in.
It was the Dead’s problem though, not hers.
She reached out to the Justice League. Sour faced, unhappy, bitterly reluctant to accept that she needed their help. Stone faced and barely containing their rage at what little they knew of the situation, they agreed to a meeting.
She didn’t let herself smile until she was well and truly alone in her office.
Greater good. A lie people told themselves. A fairytale told to children. A means of convincing the weaker willed that they had no choice, that they had a noble duty to bend to. A belief that could be wielded like a weapon if the fantasy of the idea had dug in deep enough. And there were few it had dug into so deep as the members of the Justice League.
Amanda Waller was someone who did what needed to be done.
Hands dirty.
Hands red.
Hands clenched tight on a victory long in the making.

Unauthorized Change in Priority
I’m still on a bit of a DCxDP kick right now and I have another idea. It seems to be a fairly common trope that when DP exists and the Justice league seems to be ignorant of a small town in Illinois that was actually pulled into another dimension for several days, that the blame is laid either on the GIW or John Contantine. When John Constantine is blamed, we tend toward him going ‘we don’t fuck with the Infinite Realms’ and nopes out on behalf of the entire JL, leaving a 14 year old to handle things on his own.
Let's take a slight inversion of that. Also I should probably mention, you might want to disregard any canon that contradicts this.
It is important to note going in that in this one Amity Park sits on so many intersections of ley lines that it is impossible to tell which layline is connecting to which.  A bit like a natural lake bed that is fed by a bunch of little rivers.  This thins the divider between this dimension and the infinite realms, substantially.  So even before the portal opening the line between Amity Park and the Infinite Realms is tissue paper thin.
Constantine before he joins the JDL, at some point well before Danny is even born, finds himself in Amity Park. He realizes immediately how thin the veil is in this location and, not wanting to sneeze and accidentally drop this town into a hell dimension, backs away slowly. The veil is so thin that Constantine does not even dare putting any kind of monitoring spell but notes the town (reasoning that anything that happens here will be world ending).  When he joins JLD (still well before the portal opens) he creates the Amity Park file and puts two very important notations.
First, anything Amity Park can only be handled by the JLD, preferably Zatanna or Contantine. He has a good reason for this; as most superheroes have just enough contact with death or magic to be reactive to the Infinite Realms, no knowledge of what to avoid, and next to no willingness to leave well enough alone. If there was an issue that by some miracle had not punctured the veil between realities, it is almost guaranteed that the wrong move will make things exponentially worse not better.
Second, he put a notation that any communication about, for, or from Amity Park is priority number 1, used for potentially cataclysmic, all hands on deck immediately communications. In short any call from Amity Park should have been immediately routed to Constantine.
This is what should have happened. However, the first technician to receive a call from Amity Park (during Lunch Lady’s attack) decided that this must have been a miscoding, or a data entry error, as ghosts do not exist. Not only does he mark the caller as a prank, but he also used his own access to change the second notation for Amity Park, marking any call from that location or about that location as a prank, to be ignored.
Fast forward ten years, until now nobody has caught on to what happened. Constantine had very realistic fears about tearing a hole into the infinite realms and thus never checked in on Amity Park, since no notifications came in.
We start with Batman, in the watchtower, unintentionally running into Constantine giving a royal, and deeply pissed off, dressing down to the technician in question, though the topic is not obvious.
Upon seeing Batman, Constantine goes “Good, you were next on my list. We need a full League meeting, ASAP, and all of your brood needs to attend, particularly Red Hood.”
Batman just growls out a ‘What?’
Constantine sighed “Look, I know you don’t like magic. I’ve tried to respect that, no matter how much death magic you and your brood radiate. But we have a fuck up with potentially dimension ending consequences and your undead boy might be the best shot at keeping us all from a war we can’t win.”
Batman growls to cover his own confusion.
Contantine rolled his eyes, “I will tell you everything I know, at the meeting. Going over this more than once increases the chance that someone will fly off the handle and fuck us all worse” he then turned to head toward one of the conference rooms, towing the technician. When the technician protested Constantine snapped out “Mid Case Scenario is that we have to sacrifice you to the Infinite Realms for your fuck up, you stay with me until I know how bad it is”
No more than a half hour later the Justice League has gathered, including a prickly and confused Red Hood (only there because someone-Read Red Robin- thought to use the ‘apparently this is a dimension ending trouble and we’re the assholes that live here’ argument).
Constantine starts with three word ‘Amity Park, Illinois’
Every member of Justice League Dark goes pale.
Constantine continues:
We have a fuck up of massive preportions. Possibly dimension ending, all caused by the idiot to my right.  For those of you not in the know there is a dimension that lightly overlaps ours, called the Infinite Realms. It simultaneously encompasses all afterlives that ever were or will be and serves as the connective tissue between the afterlives and the mortal realm.  Natural rips form, usually along the ley lines, to allow the spirits of the dead to pass on from our world to theirs and vice versa. It can also be called the Ghost Zone. This realm is made up of ectoplasm, what ghosts are made of.  Semi poisonous to mortals, also technically radioactive. Mortals who have touched death in certain ways begin to resonate with the Infinite Realms, mostly by dying and being brought back by unnatural means.
With me so far, Good.
A few decades ago I came across a city in Illinois where the veil between here and the Infinite Realms is so thin it is practically see through.  Since I figured accidentally punching a hole in reality and dropping a midwestern city into some fucked up shit was not a good idea, I left but kept an eye for the name to pop up anywhere. When I joined the Dark, I put a priority alert in place. ‘Cause anything that happened in Amity Park  or  about Amity Park meant the damn Infinite Realms and we needed to be on top of that shit. Except the dipshit to my right, whose name privileges have been revoked,  decided that the careful label of ‘Priority 1’ must have been a mistake, and changed the label to mark everything from Amity Park as a prank. 10 years ago.
Yesterday a different alert regarding the Infinite Realms was tripped and guess what I found…Over 200,000 calls from Amity Park in the last decade. All urgent cries for help. All ignored. This was the last message.
Everyone in the league looked deeply uncomfortable with the idea that they had been ignoring cries for help, the unnamed technician cringing next to Constantine. It got worse when Constantine played the last message. The voice sounded male and it sounded young (They do not know if, but it was Tucker Foley aged 24 years old), what’s worse was that there was audible pain in the voice overlaid with a helplessness.
I…I don’t even know why I am trying this. It’s clear no one is listening. That no one will listen. But…But Danny would want us to try. Would want us to give one last warning, he loves humanity so much.  They took Danny. They took him two weeks ago and they are cutting him open. We can feel it, Danny’s trying to keep it from us, to keep us from feeling it but our bond is too deep.  We can’t get to where Danny is being held and he’s so tired; he won’t last much longer. <The voice stops and there are several minutes of pained panting> Let this serve as a warning, should the Ghost King be Ended at the hands of the US Government, the Infinite Realms will ride to war. Amity Park stands with our Ghostly brethren.  Long Rule King Phantom.
The recording cut out and a horrific silence echoed. Before anyone can rush off to try and rescue this ‘Danny’ Constantine gets to them to sit down so that this could be done right (and avoid rushing in to make things worse). He points out that the Ghost King has not yet been Ended, gesturing at the Bats. All of the bats have brushed with death in the right ways (also Gotham was Very very cursed, which also thinned the veil. Though it was not up to Amity Park Levels Gothamites tend toward liminal as well) to be at least loosely affiliated with the Infinite Realms (liminal, though that is not the term he used), with Black Bat, the current Robin, Batman himself, and Red Hood being the ones that pinged as ‘Actual Realm Denizens’ (I know most of the league has died, or died adjacent, but we’ll go with they register as slightly liminal but much less than the Bats, since Gothams curses and the use of the Lazarus pits count as additional exposure).
Had War broken out, the loyalty of those four in particular would be bound to the Ghost King. Constantine was also sure that between their affiliation with the Infinite Realms and the loyalty of those four, the rest of the bats would likely switch sides (Of the Bats, only Red Robin looked completely at ease with this prediction-Tim had long ago accepted that his loyalty was not tied to Justice but to Family).  Thus the bats serve as an early warning system, should they attack then it was too late.
In addition to being the canary in the coal mine, Constantine hopes that Red Hood, having died and come back, may be able to serve as an ambassador of sorts, that having him and the other bats with them when they go to Amity Park will give them the time to talk with the residents and de escalate things.
The meeting continues as the League identifies the goals for this
Short Term: Rescue the ‘Danny’, anyone else in immediate danger, and make contact with the people in Amity Park
Mid Term Goals: Start making amends for ignoring their calls for help, ensure the residents are safe or could be made safe, figure out why they think what Danny is enduring has anything to do with the US government
Long Term: Dismantle whatever organization is the ‘They’ the caller mentioned
Of the Bats, Oracle and Black Bat would stay on the WatchTower to play canary. At the same time they would start trying to figure out the They mentioned in the call (by going through the other calls) and any research that needs to be done.
A Single jet, with the Batfam, John Contantine, and as many of the Justice League as can fit (with the Supers flying outside it) is dispatched to go to Amity Park; there is concern that more than that would spook the residents or seem like an invading party. They are able to land the Jet in the middle of Amity Park’s town square and can already see the devastation. It already looks like a war zone, with destroyed buildings and pitted roads. The sky flickers between a normal looking sky and a sickly green that they do not realize it from the Infinite Realms.
A crowd has gathered by the time the amp on the jet lowers. It is a mixture of humans and ghosts, none looking pleased to see the Justice League. The crowd is led by Fright Night, Mr. Lancer, and Tucker Foley (who looks to be in some kind of pain).
This is an Eternal Trio (Tucker/Sam/Danny) kind of idea with Tucker and Sam having a strong psychic bond with Danny, in part due to being there when he died and the portal opened. Because of that all the ghosts see Sam and Tucker as substitute Ghost King/Royalty with Danny being in the GIW’s hands. It takes some back and forth (and Fright Knight explicitly asking Red Hood if the Justice League are to be trusted) but Tucker is willing to answer their questions if it means that they get Danny back.
It turns out that the GIW had the town basically under siege and had for the last year (by that point barely anyone was trying to reach out to the Justice League). Two weeks ago the GIW managed to capture Danny (and had since managed to capture a number of ghosts and liminal humans for experiments). They had some kind of shield up that meant that no one who was past a certain point of Liminal, as all of Amity Park were, were able to get anywhere near it.  Sam and Tucker’s bond with Danny meant that they knew he was alive and could feel what Danny was going through.  The Bats were too liminal to get close to the GIW facility/fortress. They would go with Tucker to Fenton Works to begin interviewing people about what was going on (finding out that the GIW was apparently a branch of the US government was disquieting). John Constantine (still dragging the techncian) was going with them, someone mentioned the stable portal to the Infinite Realms and his ulcer grew by 3 sizes. The rest of the Justice League would be storming the GIW facility to rescue anyone imprisoned.
In Fenton Works they encounter Maddie and Jack, radiating a manic crazy kind of energy as they furiously build weapon after weapon for the ghosts/AP residents to use against the GIW and/or the rest of humanity. Vlad Masters was with them, trying to keep them relatively stable.  The Fenton Parents only found out that Phantom was Danny and that Danny had died a few days before Danny had been captured, though they had mellowed about Ghosts over the years (they were still shooting at Phantom, but it was more of an afterthought to making sure the GIW didn’t harm any innocents- Closer to frenemies than enemies).  To be fair Danny had not been trying to keep it a secret from them for years, but after a certain point it felt like bringing up the Danny Phantom/Danny Fenton thing was a little awkward. The Fenton Parents are practically the only people in town who had not made the connection.
The knowledge that they have been hunting their baby, that they have been hurting their baby, that their inventions killed their son cracked their psyche’s a little. Before they could fully recover from that blow, the GIW took Danny and was hurting him. The GIW was using the Fentons Research as a basis for everything they were doing.  That shattered their minds more than a little. Their behavior from that point on tended to remind older Ghosts of ghosts who were on the verge of having a cracked core from either an impossible Obsession, or conflicting Obsessions. Everyone is treating them very gently and lets them keep building really weird weapons to keep them from literally beating themselves bloody on the GIW shielding.  Red Hood, as the most Ghost Adjacent (Everyone in Amity Park have been exposed to enough ectoplasm to sense the levels of ectoplasm in other, to a certain extent), and Red Robin, as the most engineering inclined, are immediately co opted to help with weapons development as the Fentons babble about taking out the GIW in distressingly specific terms, uncontrollable manic energy, and frighteningly blank eyes (Even Red Hood is treating them with the ‘these people are a primed grenade attached to a nuclear bomb’ kind of kid gloves).
Jazz makes a point to thank Batman for Red Hood and Red Robin indulging her parents.  She is exhausted and at the end of her endurance in trying to keep everything together. She sits with Sam, Tucker, and a number of assorted ghosts to answer Batman’s questions about what the fuck has been going on in the past decade.
Back at the watchtower, Oracle has written a program to transcribe the messages from the Amity Park calls and do an analysis on the word use. From the transcripts she has been able to find a couple of important keywords: Anti Ecto Acts, Ghost Investigation Ward, the names of several ghosts, Pariah Dark, Danny Phantom. She and Black Bat begin researching. These are not fun topics to research.
The Lantern Corps are taking the research and compiling a report to take to the OA.  Absolutely 0% of the people are happy with what they are discovering. While not all of it could have been prevented by the Justice League knowing about the portal opening from the beginning (The Anti Ecto Acts had been buried in a sub clause of a sub clause of on page 1,361 of 2,500 of a Wheat Subsidy Bill), there was significant preventable damage.
At the GIW headquarters residents of Amity Park, both ghost and human, stood outside the shield line as members of the Justice League, particularly members of the Super family (which has the benefit of having Clark Kent the reporter be a first hand witness if need be) pass through the Shield with only the faintest of resistance. The first priority is the Shield as no one can escape until it comes down.  Superboy, the older, finds the experiment cells first.  It is horrifying beyond anything he had ever experienced.
Several of the cells contained ghosts that not only had been living when they were brought in, but also were trapped in a cell with their own rotting corpse (Including both Paulina and Dash). Every possible human/Ghost experimentation and horror was present.   They find Danny vivisected and pinned open with several of his organs and limbs decorating the room, while he was painfully regrowing them.
Later the vague descriptions of what was found in the GIW headquarters, reported by Clark Kent and Lois Lane, would induce actual supervillains to come out of the woodwork to help the Justice League in taking down the Acts, the GIW, and their supporters. Ra’s Al Ghul reaches out to Red Robin (not just because Ra’s also qualifies as liminal under the acts-though he does take that personally), offering support and a cadre of assassins. Lex Luthor throws his political muscle behind repealing the Acts.  Two Face is in complete agreement with himself for the first time in ages when he declares it open season on anyone in a GIW uniform.
In the aftermath it is found that even the living residents of Amity Park are all too Liminal to live in most cities. Gotham remains one of the few cities that can support them.  A robust exchange program springs up between both cities; the residents of either tend to consider Amity Park as a neighborhood of Gotham. Gotham University is the first school to offer admissions to one of the ghostly residents, codifying how Ghostly enrollment should be counted. They are also the first to offer both a Psychological and Sociological Master degree program with a focus on Ecto beings.
Constantine finds that it is no longer possible to separate Amity Park from where it had partially sunk into the Infinite Realms. This has led to some strange warping of the space time continuum that gives him a headache, but by all accounts is as stable as it can be.  This means that while everyone agrees that Amity Park is in Illinois, and geography does seem to support that, it is possible to turn down certain streets at certain times and be in Gotham and vice versa.
Once Danny had recovered some from his experience a bit, he does pass judgment on that technician.  Once the tech dies, he would be imprisoned in Walkers prison  for a period equal to the suffering and recovery time of all of the victims affected by his choice.

SUMMARY:
The League of Assassins has a secret. Deep within the sprawling city of Eth Alth'eban, the Well of Sins was watched over by Ra's al Ghul. See, while the Lazarus Pits could grant him immortality and bring people back from the dead, the Well of Sins was also more than that. It was a portal to another dimension. Ra's had held this information close to his chest for centuries, determined to take full advantage of this power and keep it for himself. He managed to successfully placate and deal with many demons and spirits that slunk out of the portal until now, so why should now be any different-
Oh. That was a dead boy at his feet.
Perhaps he should let Talia know she has a new son?

Hi! can I share some angst and weird thoughts?
TW: mention of blood and vivisection?
Imagine that the Justice League (with Batman and Constantine) or any of the other heroes summon the Ghost King/Danny Phantom (sorry I'm only a few days into this crossover and trying to figure it out) to solve the problem. But their main problem recedes into the background when a screaming and crying Phantom with scars on his body appears in the summoning circle.
Fresh wounds from vivisection.
Danny almost suffocates and realizing that he is relatively free and not on the operating table, clamps down on the badly bleeding wounds so they will heal and nothing will fall out of his body.
OR
JL calls for Danny and everyone sees the tired teenager look at the heroes in surprise with one of his organs in his hand and put it back into himself with icy calmness.
Danny literally: yo you're just in time. That was my favorite organ.
Danny tries to act as chill and calm as he can, acting like this is just a normal thing that happens. The League just share a look with each other before jumping into action, because this is their new problem now, not whatever probably-world-ending threat they were going to deal with.
One of them asks why a ghost would possibly need organs, and Danny just says “I honestly don’t need them in this form, but the government is kinda a bitch not gonna lie.”
“Aren’t you like, the Ghost King? How could the government get you?” Another League member asks.
“Well, ghost hunting technology is a thing, and I’m like a C-student, I’m not smart enough to come up with an escape plan while somebody is actively tearing me apart.”
The Justice League is regretting their decision to summon this “Ghost King,” since he might not be of much help. But hey, not only did they save this ghost teen, now they’ve got yet another problem to deal with!
But, to their surprise, Danny Phantom does indeed have the power fitting for the King of the Infinite Realms, as he helps turn the tide of the battle they were in. How could the government ever manage to capture someone so powerful?
