"Jewish state just means a state with a Jewish majority. It doesn’t mean religious rule. It doesn’t mean ethnostate. It just means self-determination on our ancestral lands." cool, but what if the majority of the people living there weren't Jewish? What would you do then to ensure that jews become the majority?
This is a really great question. Despite that, I think it comes a little late. What if Jews weren't the majority of people living in Israel? That hypothetical used to be reality. It used to be the case because for two-thousand years, dozens of foreign powers ruled over Jews in Jewish native lands. Roman, Arab, Turkish, Catholic, Persian, British-- all completely different rulers, with different faiths and philosophies and histories, and yet they agreed on one thing: Persecute the Jews. Enforced exiles, high taxes, reduced citizenship status, pogroms, massacres, genocides, you name it. All of that happened to us in our native land as it was happening to us in the diaspora. And for a long time, we did nothing about it, because without power we could do nothing about it.
But you might not care about any of that. You asked what I would do to ensure Jews became the majority in our native lands, right? I'd probably start with mass emigration out of the diaspora and back to Jewish lands. I'd probably ask permission to do so from the current government in charge of the territory. I'd certainly encourage mass immigration to Jewish lands if the current government of the region publicly declared that they would peacefully cede territory to us.
I think it'd be even better if the United Nations and the international community at large overwhelmingly voted in favor of Jewish self-determination in our native land. I think it'd be awesome if the UN came up with a plan that allowed the other major ethnic and religious groups in the area to build their own self-determined state, simultaneously, in the same region. With shared control over areas with essential resources and interfaith holy sites. I think that would be a pretty awesome way to ensure that the single most persecuted minority group in history finally gained a say in our own government.
It'd really be a shame if all of that only managed to happen because of international guilt over the world's largest genocide. It would be a super big shame if, mere hours after being reunited with our native lands through cooperation, international support, and the peaceful transfer of power, all of our new neighbors suddenly and jointly attacked us from all sides. It would be a damn shame if they attempted to finish the world's largest genocide before we could even declare our independence.
I'm gonna be so honest with you. What would I do then to ensure that Jews become the majority? I'd do it peacefully and diplomatically, because despite centuries of mistreatment under Islamic imperial rule, they were not the ones who stripped us of our lands. But Never Again started in 1945, and you can be damn sure I wouldn't have let it happen again three years later. I'd encourage nothing but peace, community building, and cooperation in gaining governmental representation for my people. Keeping my people safe from destruction is another story entirely.

Exploring the Turkish Citizenship by Investment Program: A Comprehensive Guide for 2024
Tumblr media
In recent years, Turkey has emerged as a prominent destination for foreign investors seeking citizenship through investment. The Turkish Citizenship by Investment program offers a streamlined pathway for individuals aiming to obtain Turkish citizenship by making qualifying investments in the country. This article provides an in-depth overview of the program, its benefits, investment options, eligibility criteria, and the application process as of 2024.
Understanding the Turkish Citizenship by Investment Program
The Turkish Citizenship by Investment program was introduced to attract foreign capital and stimulate economic growth. It allows investors to acquire Turkish citizenship by fulfilling specific investment requirements, thereby granting them and their families the rights and privileges of Turkish nationals.
Benefits of Turkish Citizenship
Strategic Geographical Location: Turkey’s unique position as a bridge between Europe and Asia offers unparalleled access to diverse markets and cultures.
Visa-Free Travel: Turkish passport holders enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to over 110 countries, facilitating global mobility.
Dual Citizenship: Turkey permits dual citizenship, allowing investors to retain their original nationality while enjoying the benefits of Turkish citizenship.
Robust Economy: As one of the world’s emerging markets, Turkey offers numerous investment opportunities across various sectors, including real estate, tourism, and manufacturing.
Quality of Life: With its rich cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and favorable climate, Turkey provides an excellent living environment for families.
Investment Options for Turkish Citizenship
As of 2024, the Turkey Citizenship by Investment program offers several investment avenues:
Real Estate Investment: Purchase property in Turkey valued at a minimum of $400,000 USD. The property must be retained for at least three years before it can be sold.
Capital Investment: Make a fixed capital investment of at least $500,000 USD into a Turkish company or business venture.
Bank Deposit: Deposit a minimum of $500,000 USD into a Turkish bank account, with the condition that the funds remain in the account for at least three years.
Government Bonds: Purchase government bonds worth at least $500,000 USD and hold them for a minimum of three years.
Job Creation: Establish a business that creates employment opportunities for at least 50 Turkish citizens.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Turkish Citizenship by Investment program, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have no criminal record
- Provide proof of the source of investment funds.
- Fulfill the specific requirements of the chosen investment option.
- Maintain the investment for the required holding period (typically three years).
Application Process
Choose an Investment Route: Select the investment option that aligns with your objectives.
Make the Investment: Complete the investment and obtain the necessary documentation, such as a certificate of eligibility.
Apply for Residency: Submit a residency application, which is typically processed swiftly.
Submit Citizenship Application: After obtaining residency, apply for citizenship through the Provincial Directorate of Census and Citizenship.
Receive Citizenship: Upon approval, receive Turkish citizenship and passport, usually within three to four months.
Recent Updates and Considerations
In 2024, Turkey implemented several updates to its citizenship acquisition processes, particularly concerning the Citizenship by Investment Program. Key changes include:
Enhanced Investment Requirements: The minimum investment amounts have been increased to ensure the program attracts substantial foreign capital.
Mandatory In-Person Procedures: Both investors and their spouses are now required to attend in-person appointments for residence permit and citizenship applications.
Biometric Data Submission: Applicants must provide fingerprints at designated immigration offices in Turkey, enhancing the security and integrity of the application process.
Criminal Background Checks: Submission of a criminal record from the applicant’s home country or country of legal residence is now mandatory, facilitating comprehensive background evaluations.
Property Development Criteria: Purchasing undeveloped land no longer qualifies for citizenship. The property must have a building or construction servitude to be eligible.
These updates reflect Turkey’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of its citizenship programs while continuing to attract foreign investment. Prospective applicants should ensure compliance with these new regulations to facilitate a successful application process.
Conclusion
The Turkish Citizenship by Investment program presents a valuable opportunity for investors seeking to obtain citizenship in a country that offers a strategic location, economic potential, and a rich cultural heritage. By understanding the investment options, eligibility criteria, and application process, prospective applicants can make informed decisions and take advantage of the benefits that Turkish citizenship provides.
For personalized guidance and assistance with the application process, consulting with legal experts specializing in Turkish immigration law is highly recommended.

Dramas and couples that handled the tropes right
Enemies to lovers
Friends to lovers
Arranged marriage to love
I mostly pick Trdramas but this is what I do in this blog anyway.
Enemies to Lovers: Hilal & Leon (Vatanım Sensin - Turkish drama.), Zeynep & Kerem (GĂŒneƟi Beklerken - Turkish drama), Asi & Alaz (Yabani - Turkish drama) They also share the crown about the most favorite love confessions. Yep. I am always an etl fan girl.
Friends to Lovers: I can count Chinese or Korean dramas, they kind of deliver this trope every time. Qiao Yi & Yan Mo (Le Coup de Foudre - Chinese drama), Xiang Yuan & Yan Xi (Here We Meet Again - Chinese drama), IĆŸÄ±k & Sinan (Love 101 - Turkish drama).
Arranged Marriage to Love: Usually seen as a rom-com trope but I love when used for angst and dramatic serious reasons for arranged marriage.
SongĂŒl & Sadi (Gelsin Hayat Bildiği Gibi - Turkish drama). He's an ex-mob, she's a police officer. He chooses to be a secret witness so the cops can catch the criminals red-handed and Ministry of the Interior gives him a new identity. She is tasked with protecting him. They act like they're husband and wife while he turns a new page.
And if I can also add some other similar tropes, like "Marriage Before Love" which is another way to tell they have to live under the same roof and know each other in the process, then I should say one of my favorites:
Sahra & Mithat (Sahra - Turkish drama). While everybody thinks she's dead, she creates a new foreign identity and comes back to Turkiye. She has to stay in the country to be able to get revenge on her ex husband and take her daughter away from him. She marries the male lead so she can acquire Turkish citizenship. The male lead already loves her, she falls in love with him along the journey.

Every Fourth of July, fascistic leftists always pretend no progress has been made in the United States, despite that in illiberal nations the same ethnic groups are still fighting each other after thousands of years of fighting each other.
Yet in the United States, slavery was abolished, black Americans gained citizenship and the right to vote, and they continued to fight for their rights alongside other racial minorities in this country, indigenous nations were given sovereignty and the right to rule themselves.
Yet the Sunni and Sikh are still fighting. The Turkish and Kurds, the Han Chinese and the rest of Asia
they still bitterly hate each other. Illiberal states are still enslaving African people or Indian people, China has completely ruined the African continent’s economies, but people blame America—because they think that for some reason, the US spending hundreds of billions of dollars a year on foreign aid is somehow economically viable or beneficial to the United States. They have no understanding of economics so they think the US burning billions a year on trying to keep people fed is what we want to do. No, trade is what we want to do. A successful liberal country is a prosperous country, where we would both benefit greatly. The United States wants other countries to do what it does, so they can be just as wealthy as the United States. The more these other nations adopt US inspired economic policies, their wealth quadruples. From Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Japan
they are becoming richer and their people are more secure whilst illiberal states still suffer. Yet they cheer on the states where people are still starving in the 21st century because they become reactionary after learning an ounce of history. They think they discovered the truth but they have not.
Happy Fourth of July to the country that has saved millions from poverty and dictatorships! Happy Fourth of July to not only the American people, but the idea of America!
Let’s hope that by next year our idea of democracy and economic prosperity is still standing tall and shining in the night.
Let us pray for the prosperity of our country and the prosperity of our allies. Let us pray for the continuation of liberalism and capitalism. Let us pray for a better future where anyone and everyone can eat what they want when they want.

wrt to the ask before this about Greek nationalism, I feel so, sooooo out of the loop in terms of having a connection to Greece like that because my dad, grandparents, and both sides of their entire family are from Istanbul/Cappadocia and left in the 60s for Canada, rather than to Greece with the rest of the 1920s population exchange. No one in my direct family has ever lived in Greece!!! My cousins' grandparents were exchanged so their memories are pretty typically Greek (to me) but my dad/grandparents NEVER lived in Greece as adults, never had Greek citizenship even(!!!), despite being Greek enough to be targets of rising Turkish nationalism. so I'd be at diaspora events and people were like yeah we go to Athens every other summer, the iiiiiiiiiiislands, etc. and I'm like uh....so what's up with Prinkipos :D and no one could relate. i'm also gay so between the not!Greek-ing correctly and the not!religiously accepted, it's kind of very awful :)
many Greeks in Greece đŸ€ you: not traveling outside our country of residence and only seeing the Greek islands on posters + not accepted by the religion + feeling strangers to their Greekness/tradition (because of modernization and Americanisation)
Bonus round:
many Greeks in Greece đŸ€ you: not having visited the places our family were expelled from
hope that made you feel right at home.....? /j 😂
(I assume you didn't travel there by the ask's wording. Please correct me if I am wrong)
It could be worth visiting north Greece if you can. Since many cities there have 70-80% descendants of Anatolian immigrants, you might feel some connection and build something on it for your identity.
I understand that even Greeks in Greece are at least united by a few more things (hatred for Koulis let's say) and don't face the same identity crisis as you. Yours doesn't sound like a nice predicament to be when you are searching for your identity and not even "your community" can provide a sense of belonging :/ So you are kinda "on the air", as we say here.
Your family is also more "Greek Anatolian" (incl. East Thrace) than "Greek from the mainland/islands" or "Greek from Cyprus", hence that makes you a minority from what I gather. Which is kinda similar to Anatolian Greeks coming to the mainland in 1920 and finding themselves among people they couldn't relate to in many ways. Only you are experiencing it on veeery foreign soil a few generations later, so extra suffering points for that 😬
The good thing is, the Anatolian Greeks made it. They built a future out of nothing in an environment that called them "Turk seeds", and their children lacked nothing in education and upholding Greekness compared to the rest of Greece. Their offspring is also rumored to be the most courteous, generous, cosmopolitan and laid-back people in the country. I don't think it has so much to do with the soil the Anatolian Greeks went after their expulsion because with these qualities you have the potential to excel anywhere. I trust there were some of these good elements in your upbringing (even subconsciously). So you will, too, shine with your type of Greekness and with whatever you have in your arsenal, even when your environment looks estranging.

A series of protests was organised in Istanbul in front of Swedish Consulate General after Swedish far-right groups burned Islam’s holy book, the Koran, in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm on Saturday.
Protesters in front of the Swedish consulate in Istanbul on Sunday chanted against Sweden and burned Swedish flags and pictures of the far-right Swedish-Danish politician Rasmus Paludan.
Paludan sparked anger in Turkey by publicly burning the Koran in front of supporters of his far-right Danish political party, Hard Line. He also has Swedish citizenship.
He burned the copy of the Koran during s protest on Saturday afternoon outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.
He has held several demonstrations in the past where he has also burned Korans. He told Swedish media on Sunday that he did not regret burning the Koran.
However, the gesture has hugely embarrassed Swedish diplomats. “We do not share the book-burning idiot’s view,” the Swedish Consulate General staff wrote on a placard placed in a window at the consulate as a response to the protesters.
Turkish police maintained tight security around the Consulate as protests continued until late on Sunday night.
The Koran-burning episode has strained already stressed relationships between Sweden and Turkey over the Nordic country’s NATO membership bid, which Ankara has not approved.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms the vile attack on our holy book
Permitting this anti-Islam act, which targets Muslims and insults our sacred values, under the guise of freedom of expression is completely unacceptable,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar cancelled the planned visit of his Swedish counterpart Pal Jonson’s to Turkey on January 27 saying that there was “no point” to it, because Sweden had not stopped the Koran-burning protest in Stockholm. “Measures should have been taken,” Akar said in a written statement.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson tweeted his regrets about the whole event on Saturday. “Freedom of expression is a fundamental part of democracy. But what is legal is not necessarily appropriate. Burning books that are holy to many is a deeply disrespectful act,” he said.
“I want to express my sympathy for all Muslims who are offended by what has happened in Stockholm today.” Kristersson added.
But the statements have not calmed Turkish official opinion. “If it goes on like this, Sweden’s entry into NATO will never be approved by Turkey,” Numan Kurtulmus, Deputy Chairman of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s ruling Justice and Development Party, AKP, said on Sunday.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February last year prompted neutral Scandinavian countries to rethink their neutraity and seek to join the Atlantic alliance. Both Sweden and Finland have officially applied to join.
But countries can join NATO only if all its members unanimously agree, which effectively gives Turkey veto powers over any possible enlargement.
Finland and Sweden signed a trilateral memorandum with Turkey in June, pledging to address its concerns over their tolerance of outlawed Kurdish groups and followers of President Erdogan’s nemesis, the exiled preacher Fethullah Gulen.
However, Swedish and Finnish attempts to convince Turkey to approve their NATO membership have failed until now.

MUST BE SEARCHED BY DANISH POLICE AND RELEVANT GERMAN ENTITY
Where the Tsarnaevs were applying for the U.S. visa, like many of the details of the narrative at this point, is not entirely clear. In 2001, they apparently moved to Kyrgyzstan, which may have been where the family lived when it applied.
September 11, 2012, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev took the Citizenship oath, during a large ceremony held at TD Bank Garden.
The government can't simply revoke citizenship because it wants to. If it found that Dzhokhar's application for naturalization was fraudulent, it could. Which might include the government deciding that his sworn oath was insincere. That oath reads, in part:
"I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same
"
The U.S. government could theoretically decide that Dzhokhar, in essence, didn't mean it. In that case, it might be possible he loses his status, and could be deported.
In August 2012, after a 178-day trip to Russia, Tamerlan Tsarnaev stopped by the Cambridge office of Centro Latino, a now-defunct nonprofit, for help in applying for citizenship.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev passed the US citizenship test three months before he and his younger brother detonated two bombs at the Boston Marathon, according to federal immigration records obtained under the Freedom of Information Act in 2016.
His test results, with correct answers to questions about slavery, the Constitution, and the Louisiana Purchase, are in 651 pages of previously confidential files on the bomber and his friend Ibragim Todashev.
Why immigration officials granted Tsarnaev and Todashev refuge in the first place, and whether officials missed warning signs about their criminal activity as their cases progressed through US Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The records also show that Todashev told immigration officials he had left Massachusetts in September 2011, the same month he allegedly helped Tsarnaev kill three men in Waltham.
Tamerlan died in a firefight with police after the bombings killed three people and injured more than 260. The brothers also killed a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer.
A month later, an FBI agent killed Todashev during an interrogation in Florida.
Which US Consular official in Ankara embassy issued the US visa to none-Turkish citizen Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who hold dual - Russian and Kyrgyzstan citizenship. Name. Where did Tamerlan arrived in Ankara from? Route.
TO DANISH POLICE SOLELY AND EXCLUSIVELY: SEARCH IT.
Which German consulate in Turkey supplied Afghanistan refugees permanent resident cards for subsequent entry to Germany long before Taliban take-over in 2021?

1. Key Benefits of Investing in Istanbul Real Estate
Tumblr media
Istanbul’s real estate market offers several advantages that make it a top investment destination. Below are the key reasons why purchasing property in Istanbul in 2024 is an appealing option for foreign investors.
1.1 Booming Economy and Increasing Demand
Tumblr media
As Turkey's financial and cultural capital, Istanbul has a rapidly growing economy. The city's diversified economy, which includes sectors such as technology, tourism, and finance, continues to fuel demand for both residential and commercial properties. As the population rises, so does the need for more housing and business spaces, ensuring high demand in the real estate market.
1.2 Strategic Location
Istanbul’s position as a bridge between Europe and Asia is a major asset. This strategic location not only benefits trade and business but also makes Istanbul a magnet for foreign investors. The ease of access to both continents and the city’s growing transportation networks, such as the new airport and metro systems, make it an ideal location for investment.
1.3 High Rental Yields
For investors focused on rental income, Istanbul is highly lucrative. The city offers attractive rental yields, particularly in high-demand areas such as Besiktas, Kadikoy, and Beylikduzu. These areas are seeing growing demand for both long-term and short-term rentals, providing opportunities for consistent returns.
2. Istanbul’s Real Estate Market Outlook for 2024
Tumblr media
Istanbul’s property market is expected to maintain its growth trajectory in 2024, with several positive factors contributing to an optimistic outlook for investors.
2.1 Projected Price Increases
Istanbul’s continued infrastructure development, such as the completion of the Istanbul Canal, expanded metro lines, and the third airport, is set to fuel long-term capital appreciation. Experts predict steady increases in property prices across the city, especially in emerging areas near new transportation links.
2.2 Rising Demand in Suburban Areas
As city-center prices climb, investors are increasingly turning their attention to suburban areas like Beylikduzu and Silivri. These areas are seeing rapid development, and their more affordable properties present attractive investment opportunities with the potential for substantial value increases.
2.3 Stable Rental Market
Istanbul’s rental market remains robust, driven by the influx of students, tourists, and professionals. This strong demand for rental properties ensures a stable income for property owners, with short-term rentals seeing particularly high returns in tourist-centric neighborhoods.
3. Top Neighborhoods to Invest in
Tumblr media
Istanbul offers a diverse array of neighborhoods, each with its own appeal for different types of investors. Below are some of the top neighborhoods to consider when buying property in Istanbul.
3.1 Besiktas
Besiktas is one of Istanbul’s most desirable and upscale neighborhoods. Located along the Bosphorus, it offers beautiful waterfront views, proximity to central business districts, and a vibrant social scene. It’s a perfect area for both residential and commercial investments, with strong rental demand.
3.2 Kadikoy
On the Asian side of Istanbul, Kadikoy is growing in popularity due to its vibrant arts scene, rich cultural history, and increasing demand from both locals and expats. Kadikoy offers a range of affordable housing options that are expected to appreciate in value over time, especially with ongoing infrastructure development.
3.3 Beylikduzu and Basaksehir
For those looking for more affordable investment options, Beylikduzu and Basaksehir are emerging areas with high growth potential. These districts benefit from new developments, such as residential complexes and commercial centers, making them prime choices for long-term investors.
3.4 Sultanahmet
Known as the heart of Istanbul's historic district, Sultanahmet is ideal for investors interested in the tourism sector. With world-famous landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, the area is a prime location for short-term rentals and hospitality investments.
4. Step-by-Step Guide to Buying Property in Istanbul
Tumblr media
Investing in Istanbul real estate is straightforward if you follow these essential steps:
4.1 Research the Market
Before purchasing a property, it's crucial to understand the local market trends, property values, and potential returns. Conducting research, visiting Istanbul, and engaging a local real estate agent will ensure you're making a sound investment.
4.2 Hire a Professional Real Estate Agent
Working with a knowledgeable real estate agent can save time and help you find the best investment opportunities. An experienced agent will guide you through the legal procedures, suggest suitable properties, and help negotiate the best deal.
4.3 Understand the Legal Process
Foreign buyers can easily purchase property in Istanbul, but it's essential to understand the legal process. The necessary steps include getting a Turkish tax number, having the property appraised, and ensuring the title deed is free of encumbrances. Engaging a lawyer who specializes in real estate law is highly recommended.
4.4 Arrange Financing
If you're financing your purchase, Turkish banks offer mortgages to foreign buyers. You can typically borrow up to 70% of the property value. Be sure to compare financing options to secure the best terms.
4.5 Complete the Purchase
Once all legalities are addressed, you can transfer the property’s title to your name. This process typically takes about a month, after which you’ll officially own the property.
5. Legal and Financial Considerations for Foreign Investors
Tumblr media
Buying property in Istanbul involves a number of legal and financial considerations that foreign investors need to keep in mind.
5.1 Property Taxes
Turkey has relatively low property taxes. Property tax rates range from 0.1% to 0.3% of the property’s value, with additional taxes for purchasing property. Title deed transfer fees, which are usually around 4% of the property value, should also be factored into your budget.
5.2 Other Costs
Additional costs include notary fees, legal fees, and possible utility connection charges. It’s also advisable to consider the costs of property management if you plan to rent the property.
5.3 Financing Options
Several banks in Turkey offer mortgage loans to foreign investors, though interest rates may vary. Typically, foreign buyers can access up to 70% of the property's value, with the remainder covered by the buyer.
6. Why Istanbul Remains a Prime Investment Location
Tumblr media
Istanbul’s real estate market remains a safe and profitable investment choice due to several factors:
6.1 Strong Tourism Industry
With millions of tourists visiting Istanbul every year, there is a constant demand for short-term rental properties. Areas near popular landmarks and the city center are particularly lucrative for investors seeking high returns on short-term rental properties.
6.2 Government Investments and Infrastructure Development
Ongoing and future government projects, such as the new Istanbul Canal and improved transportation links, will drive up property values in key locations. Investing in Istanbul today allows you to capitalize on these long-term development projects.
6.3 Capital Appreciation
Historically, Istanbul’s property market has seen consistent price increases. With continued urbanization and infrastructure improvements, capital appreciation is expected to continue, particularly in up-and-coming areas like Beylikduzu and Basaksehir.
