Another star to add to the 16th Striker Cluster of Clan Jade Falcon's Omega Galaxy. Brings the total to 25 JF mechs, so about half a cluster. I don't have a problem.
#battletech#jade falcon#the Turkina is a ugly dumpling and I love it.#next up is more Canopus and mercs#I don't have a problem.

I can't say for sure...
...but I really do suspect that if you're in an Assault-grade and about to get a Death from Above by something lighter, if you have jump-jets of your own (like a Turkina or Highlander), you can absolutely parry it if you time your boost right. Come right up and meet them at peak velocity. Like heading a ball. They're trying to drop down on you, you send them right back up. Hit that 'mech like a breaching killer whale coming after a seagull. Bon voyage, hope the in-flight movies are good.

First time getting the lightbox out in a while.

This one combined a lot of techniques that are new to me. The glow on the crystal was the most difficult. Fortunately my fellow BattleTech fans helped walk me through the process, for which I am very grateful lol.
The bird on the back was hand painted, and yeah it made me sweat. It was so intimidating! I can see why some painters really don't like this scheme.
This may be the best mini I've painted so far. And the Turkina was a joy to paint.

Hello! I am new here! Why are you borb?
I am a product of an experimental Clan genetics program - one much more extensive than the usual trueborn program. This program was run by scientists of Clan Coyote, with assistance from a small cabal of other scientists from across the Clans (I am told this group was likely Society and/or Genecaste in membership).
I and my fellow "Totem Warriors", as we are known, were created to embody the spirit of the totem animals of our respective Clans (not all Clans participated and some of the attempts failed, hence why there are 16 of us rather than 19), serve as long-term sources of historical wisdom and guidance for our Khans, and serve as a sort of "living history record" for the Clans as a whole. On the more pragmatic end of things, we were also an experiment to see if the enhanced abilities and senses of more animalistic hybrids would be useful to the mainline genetics program, as well as testing certain protocols for combining genes across castes.
We were created using genetic material from the first Khan of our respective Clans, blended with an exceptional specimen of our respective Clan's totem animal. In my case, these were Clan Jade Falcon's first Khan Elizabeth Hazen, and, thanks to preserved feathers, Turkina herself - the legendary jade falcon from my Clan's history. To create us as fully biological anthropomorphs (aka "furries"), the scientists utilized advanced Star League-vintage techniques from the asteroid-dwelling Belter communities of the Sol System - refining and combining them with Clan genetic engineering.
In the end, we all ended up stronger, faster, and smarter than most Clan warriors (and those of us with Elemental genes are stronger still). I inherited many abilities of the jade falcon, including my talons, feathers, and excellent eyesight, though neither myself nor Corax (the Snow Raven totem warrior) have wings.
We were decanted (the closest thing a Trueborn gets to being 'born') in 2990. As it is now 3153, you may be wondering how I am still alive. This is again due to the Belter techniques used in our creation. We are not immortal, but it is estimated that we may live for an average of 350 to 400 years. Thus, at 162, I am still (relatively) young.
And that is, as you say, "why I am borb."
