Okay disabled Tumblr. We are creating a project (mini mini mini videogame/interactive graphic novel) where the protagonist and one of the characters are physically disabled. I have been doing some asks and reblog games recently, and tumblr just. Doesn't want me to see??? When people answer my asks and it pops up on my notification thing, I try and click on it and it brings me to their page, but not to the post. Just now @allyheart707 reblogged something I reblogged from them and I CANT SEE IT! IT JUST TAKES ME TO THEIR PAGE! AND WHEN I TRY AND SCROLL THROUGH THEIR PAGE TO FIND IT!!! IT! ISNT! THERE! EVEN THO THEY POSTED IT!

I literally had to message someone who answered my ask for a link to their post, and then I was finally able to view it 😭

help how do you turn off notifications for the new community stuff ??? I get a notification (usually making me think "oo someone new interacted w/ me via like or reblog" but instead it was just someone posting in the community I'm in)

a brief preamble so this makes sense: i started experiencing complex trauma at 7 years old and developed a dissociative disorder along with chronic depression (as part of bipolar disorder) so i've lived with a limited emotional repertoire and understanding of ~feelings~ ever since and only this year have begun the process of coming out of my dissociative patterns and starting to ~feel feelings~

i think i have a crush on someone but i don't know what all goes into that. "you'd know if you had a crush on somebody" doesn't help me. i've never had a crush on someone in my life. i've never had the emotional safety to even think about opening up to possibilities like that. so please don't assume i'd know anything.

i can tell you that the woman i think i have a crush on is my precise "type" with the unfortunately hot addition of a thick texan accent. what i can't tell you is how i feel towards her, because i don't know her very well and have only interacted with her in a professional setting. she's very sweet and reassuring, and she's open with everyone but keeps her privacy. i haven't had a full conversation with her in any context. she's practically a stranger to me. if i never saw her again, i'd just be like "okay... well, i guess i won't see charlotte again" *shrug* but it wouldn't be some earth-shattering revelation that i would never recover from. i don't have any emotion attached to her one way or the other.

every time i see her, it's like an orgasm of the brain where my hypothalamus lights up and starts yelling SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL FUCK over and over again, but this happens every time i see a woman who's my precise "type" and i feel like there has to be some other factor that goes into a crush. otherwise i have a crush on every woman over 60 with blue eyes and blonde hair, and i just don't think that's realistic.

so what i need to know is if me finding her attractive because she's my precise "type" without feeling emotionally attached to her constitutes a crush.
