۟. ♡ ៶ [ flower ] sender places a flower behind receiver’s ear + [ sage & fade ] !
The nature was not particularly something fade loved. Like, sure. She liked it. She wouldn't mind being around it. But if she had to choose, she would rather stay inside. But the team insisted- oh, the weather is so nice today! Oh, we haven't had a picnic in so long! Oh, sky is so clear, the sunset will be beautiful! So she had to tag along. She had to argue with brimstone for this role, but in the end, she ended up being the one to flip the meat on the grill and fan it. Did they expect sandwiches or something? As a dinner? Ha, no. She is insistent on showing them what a Turkish dinner picnic is like.
"ALLLRIGHT!" She alerted everyone, picking up a plate and filling all the meat and chickens and kebabs inside it, placing it back on the ground for the others to pick up and place their own meats on the plates. Raze was filling the drinks, iso was filling the salads. Placing new meats on the makeshift grill for it to cook while they eat, because she knew damn well the current amount is not enough to fill more than 10 people, she suddenly felt a hand touching her ear. "Mm?" Lifting up her head, she was met with sage's smile. She lifted up her hand to feel her ear, and upon understanding that it's a flower, her lips broke into a small grin. "is this your way of thanking me?" She scoffed, trying to stay cool- but she surely liked the action. "... Afiyet olsun. Go eat."

Stumbled upon this crime scene. Fucking breaks my heart that I didn't have the means to save every little piece of them. Miss living in the country. Am not built for this world let alone a busy-ass city. I'm inches from wearing a tinfoil hat and covering the windows in newspaper. Spent the weekend not understanding my own feelings and twisting myself up in knots cause sometimes stumbling around the dark is just fucking easier than ponying up your chin. Mourned my father in the only way I know how (Tito's stiff on the rocks, splash seltzer + lime) and today is just trying to fucking cauterize the gd thing so I can get on with it already. Dystopia playlist coming back for workout, the positivity of NYHC is too gd much to take.
Silver lining was grilled, marinated chicken/veg kebabs for lunch w/ Greek slant. Roasted campari tomatoes, stuffed olives, feta, fughettaboutit. No carbs, minimal dairy. We had strawberries & black coffee for breakfast.
Christina's World for little baby depressed pants. How crushed were you when you found out her legs didn't work? Wyeth with the melancholy. God. Could you imagine one whole wall of Master Bedroom or Wind from the Sea or *gasp* any of the Bare Trees pieces?
Wallowed in shit long enough. Time to do a (spiritual) rail and get the fuck on with it. Assholes and elbows.

National Eat Outside Day
Picnics, Cookouts, Grill Parties and Beer Gardens. Take a little time to enjoy a meal out in the open air in honor of National Eat Outside Day!
History of National Eat Outside Day
Humans have probably been eating outside ever since time and history began. But even after people started having homes indoors, the idea of dining outside had its place. During Medieval Times, for practical reasons people would pack foods and take them along with them on hunting parties.
During the 17th century, beer gardens were created in Bavaria, which is now Germany. It is likely that picnics later became popular in the United States some time in the 18th century when settlers would host parties in their private “pleasure gardens”. The idea would eventually grow into something that average people would enjoy in a local park, forest or green space.
Some researchers believe that one version of outdoor dining in the United States may have started in Coney Island, New York. The park’s first roller coaster was introduced in 1884 and people loved spending time outside, so restaurateur Charles Feltman wedged a sausage between bread for people to eat on the go. Thus, one of the easiest and most popular foods to eat outside, the hot dog, was born.
And National Eat Outside Day is here to celebrate all of the fun!
How to Celebrate National Eat Outside Day
Eating outdoors can be accomplished in a variety of ways in celebration of National Eat Outside Day. Try out some of these ideas to get started:
Go on a Picnic
One delightful way to enjoy National Eat Outside Day is to invite some friends and family members, pack up a picnic and head out to a park, beach or other enjoyable space. Fill a basket full of all kinds of delicious outdoor-friendly foods, such as fried chicken, deli sandwiches, cut fruit like watermelon or apples, potato salad, sliced vegetables with hummus dip, and some homemade cookies or pie for dessert. And don’t forget the picnic blanket to sit on!
Eat on a Restaurant Patio
Since National Eat Outside Day takes place in summertime, it’s a great time to eat outside at a favorite restaurant. Many restaurants, whether they serve barbecue sandwiches or Italian meals, offer an outdoor area where they seat patrons during the warmer months. Call ahead to make a reservation, just in case others also have the same idea in honor of the day!
Host a Grill Party
One of the most popular ways that people love to celebrate National Eat Outside Day is to invite a few friends or neighbors over to have a barbecue. Fire up that barbecue grill and layer it with all sorts of outdoorsy foods, like hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, sausages, chicken breasts, shrimp and more. Other foods that can be cooked on the grill include corn on the cob, shish kebabs, vegetables like zucchini or squash, and even cheese that can be warmed on the grill.

Middle Eastern Grilled Chicken vs. Beef: What’s More Flavorful?
Grilled meats hold a special place in Middle Eastern cuisine, offering bold flavors, aromatic spices, and juicy textures. Whether it's charcoal-grilled chicken infused with traditional marinades or tender beef kebabs cooked to perfection, each has its unique appeal. But which one is more flavorful? Let’s explore the key differences between grilled chicken and beef, along with expert grilling tips to enhance their taste.

The Unique Appeal of Grilled Chicken
Middle Eastern grilled chicken is often marinated in yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, and spices to keep it tender and juicy. Unlike beef, chicken absorbs marinades quickly, resulting in a deep infusion of flavors.
Why Chicken is a Popular Choice:
✔ Mild Flavor: Chicken allows spices and marinades to shine, making it versatile. ✔ Tender & Juicy Texture: The use of yogurt-based marinades helps break down proteins for extra softness. ✔ Healthier Option: Leaner than beef, grilled chicken is a protein-packed yet lower-fat option.
One of the best ways to enjoy authentic charcoal-grilled chicken is by visiting a place that specializes in Middle Eastern-style shawarma and grilled dishes. Discover top-rated destinations for grilled chicken where tradition meets flavor.
The Bold Flavors of Grilled Beef
Beef brings richness and depth to Middle Eastern grilling, offering bold, smoky flavors that are enhanced by slow-cooking over an open flame. It is often seasoned with a blend of sumac, cumin, cinnamon, and garlic, adding an earthy touch.
Why Beef Stands Out:
✔ Rich & Robust Taste: Beef naturally has a deeper umami flavor compared to chicken. ✔ Juicy & Succulent: High-fat content keeps the meat moist when cooked properly. ✔ Perfect for Skewers: Traditional kebab skewers and grilled kofta are often made from spiced ground beef, delivering a smoky, melt-in-the-mouth experience.
If you're looking for the best places to try Middle Eastern-style grilled beef, check out one of the finest grill houses offering authentic, flame-cooked dishes with a rich, smoky essence.
Cooking Techniques That Elevate Flavor
1. Marination Matters
Both chicken and beef benefit from marination, but the ingredients vary:
Chicken thrives on lemon juice, yogurt, and garlic for tenderness.
Beef is enhanced by olive oil, sumac, and warm spices for depth.
2. Charcoal vs. Gas Grilling
Charcoal grilling provides an authentic smoky essence, perfect for Middle Eastern BBQ.
Gas grilling offers better temperature control, ideal for maintaining juicy meats.
3. Cooking Time & Heat
Chicken cooks faster, requiring medium-high heat to retain moisture.
Beef benefits from slow grilling over indirect heat, allowing the fat to render properly.
Pairing Grilled Meats with the Right Sides
Middle Eastern grilling is always accompanied by delicious side dishes that enhance the experience: 🍽 Garlic Sauce (Toum) – A creamy, garlicky dip perfect for grilled chicken. 🍽 Hummus & Baba Ganoush – Adds a rich, nutty contrast to beef dishes. 🍽 Freshly Baked Pita – The best way to wrap up a juicy piece of grilled meat.
For a complete Middle Eastern dining experience, pair your meal with traditional Arabic desserts such as Baklava and Kunafa to balance out the smoky, savory flavors of the grill.
So, Which One is More Flavorful?
It ultimately comes down to personal preference:
If you enjoy light, tender, and well-marinated meats, grilled chicken is your best bet.
If you crave rich, smoky, and juicy flavors, grilled beef will win your heart.
Whether it's charcoal-grilled chicken shawarma or juicy beef kebabs, Middle Eastern grilling is all about bold flavors and aromatic spices. The perfect way to experience it is by exploring authentic BBQ-style restaurants that honor the traditional art of grilling.

How to Make the Most of Your Restaurant Dining Experience Without Overindulging
Dining out is one of life’s pleasures, but when you’re trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, it can be tricky to balance indulgence with moderation. If you’re someone who enjoys the experience of eating at the best Indian restaurants in London or finding the best curry in Brick Lane, you don’t have to sacrifice your health goals. In fact, with a little planning and mindfulness, you can make the most of your restaurant dining experience while still keeping your portions in check.

In this post, we’ll share some useful tips on how to enjoy your meal at a Brick Lane restaurant or any of your favourite dining spots, all while avoiding overindulgence. Whether you’re craving the bold flavours of Indian food on Brick Lane or the comfort of your favourite dishes, these tips will help you strike the perfect balance.
1. Choose the Best Indian Restaurant for Quality and Health-Conscious Options
One of the first steps to making the most of your restaurant dining experience is choosing the right place. While it’s tempting to go for the most popular spot or the restaurant with the longest menu, it’s worth considering restaurants that are known for their healthy options, portion control, and high-quality ingredients. For instance, the best Indian restaurants in Brick Lane offer a variety of dishes that can cater to different dietary needs, including low-calorie options, vegetarian or vegan choices, and meals that are light on oil and cream.
By selecting an award-winning restaurant in London or a Brick Lane Indian restaurant with a reputation for excellent, well-prepared meals, you’re already starting your dining experience on the right foot. A reputable place will offer healthier versions of traditional dishes, such as tandoori meals (which are grilled rather than fried) or lighter, vegetable-based curries.

2. Start with a Healthy Starter
Many people overlook the importance of a starter when dining out, but it can set the tone for the rest of the meal. While dishes like samosas and pakoras are delicious, they can be quite heavy. Instead, opt for lighter, fresher starters.
Some healthy starter options to look out for at a Brick Lane curry restaurant include:
Poppadoms with raita: A simple, crunchy treat served with a cooling yogurt dip. Just be mindful of how much chutney you’re adding.
Tandoori dishes: Tandoori options are generally cooked without oil, making them a lighter choice. You can try tandoori chicken or tandoori paneer.
Vegetable kebabs: These are often grilled, making them a healthier alternative to deep-fried starters.
Starting with a lighter, healthier option can help you feel more satisfied without overindulging right from the start. It can also prevent you from overeating the heavier main courses later in the meal.
3. Opt for Smaller Portions
When dining at the best restaurant in Brick Lane, you may be tempted by the idea of trying everything on the menu. While it’s fun to share a variety of dishes with friends, large portions can quickly add up in terms of calories.
One way to avoid overindulging is by opting for smaller portions. Many Indian restaurants allow you to order half-portions or share dishes with others. Sharing plates with your dining companions is an excellent way to sample a variety of flavours without going overboard. This is particularly effective if you’re at an award-winning restaurant in London, where the quality of each dish is exceptional.
If smaller portions aren’t available, consider choosing a main dish that can be paired with a side salad or some steamed vegetables to help balance out your meal.
4. Skip the Sides (or Choose Wisely)
A huge temptation when dining at the best Indian restaurants in London is the selection of sides and accompaniments. Dishes like naan bread, rice pilaf, and fried bhajis can add extra calories to your meal. While they’re delicious, they may not be necessary if you’re focused on not overindulging.
Instead of ordering a large portion of naan bread or rice, consider opting for healthier side options such as:
Plain or wholemeal naan: Wholemeal naan is a healthier alternative, and opting for a smaller portion will keep your calorie intake in check.
Steamed basmati rice: If you’re craving rice, try to stick to a smaller portion of plain basmati rice rather than something rich or fried.
By being selective with your sides, you can enjoy the flavours of your main dish without overloading your plate with extras that contribute little nutritional value.
5. Focus on Vegetables and Lean Proteins
When dining out at Brick Lane restaurants, it’s a great idea to focus on dishes that are rich in vegetables and lean proteins. Many traditional Indian curries can be made with chicken, fish, or paneer, and they often feature a wide variety of vegetables. These options are typically lighter and healthier than the more indulgent meat-based dishes.
For example, lentil-based curries like dal are nutrient-rich and low in calories. Fish curry, made with tandoori-style fish, is another excellent option. Look for dishes that feature vegetables like spinach, cauliflower, or aubergines. These dishes are often packed with fibre, vitamins, and minerals, which will keep you feeling full without overindulging.
You can also ask the restaurant to prepare your curry with less oil or cream if you're watching your fat intake. Many award-winning restaurants in London are more than happy to accommodate such requests.
6. Drink Water, Not Sugary Drinks
It’s easy to get carried away with sugary soft drinks, sweet lassi, or cocktails while dining out at a Brick Lane Indian restaurant, but these beverages can quickly add extra sugar and calories to your meal. Instead of ordering sugary beverages, opt for water or unsweetened drinks.
Drinking water throughout your meal not only keeps you hydrated but can also help you feel fuller, potentially preventing you from overeating. If you’re craving something with flavour, consider ordering a mint tea or a spiced chai, which can be refreshing and low in calories.
7. Mind Your Eating Pace
One of the easiest ways to avoid overindulging at a Brick Lane curry restaurant is by paying attention to your eating pace. It’s tempting to finish your meal quickly, especially when the food is delicious, but this can lead to overeating.
Take your time, chew your food slowly, and engage in conversation with your dining companions. By eating slowly, your body will have time to signal to your brain that it’s full, which can help prevent overeating.
8. Practice Portion Control at Home
If you’re planning to dine at a restaurant after a long day, try to keep your eating in check at home earlier in the day. Practicing portion control with your meals throughout the day will help prevent you from feeling overly hungry when you arrive at the restaurant, thus reducing the temptation to overeat. A balanced, healthy diet before dining out ensures that you’ll enjoy your meal in moderation and avoid the urge to overindulge.
Final Thoughts
Dining at the best Indian restaurants in London, or visiting Brick Lane restaurants for a flavour-packed curry, is an experience to be enjoyed. But by following a few simple tips, you can ensure that you make the most of your dining experience without going overboard. Focus on lighter options, opt for smaller portions, and take your time to savour each bite.
Next time you’re in the mood for a best curry on Brick Lane, remember that moderation is key. You can enjoy all the rich flavours of your favourite dishes without overindulging, and still maintain your health-conscious lifestyle.
Whether you’re indulging in Indian food on Brick Lane or sampling the finest award-winning restaurant London has to offer, keeping these tips in mind will help you strike the perfect balance between enjoying great food and eating in a way that supports your health.

From the smallest bites to the heartiest mains, Lebanese food brings together the essence of Mediterranean cooking. Whether you're a local or visiting, exploring the offerings of lebanese food sydney is a journey that promises unforgettable meals. Let’s delve into the variety of dishes that make this cuisine a must-try for any food lover.

The Mezze: A Perfect Start to Your Meal
A true celebration of Lebanese food begins with the mezze. Mezze refers to a selection of small dishes, perfect for sharing, allowing you to experience a variety of flavours in one meal. Some of the best lebanese food sydney options include dishes like hummus, baba ghanoush, and tabbouleh. These dishes not only highlight the fresh ingredients but also introduce you to the key components of Lebanese cuisine.
Hummus, made from creamy chickpeas, tahini, lemon, and garlic, is a staple and is often served with warm, freshly baked pita bread. For those who enjoy smoky flavours, baba ghanoush is a must-try, with roasted eggplant blended with tahini and garlic. Pairing these dips with crispy falafel—a deep-fried ball made of chickpeas and spices—is the perfect way to kick off your Lebanese meal.
The Mains: Hearty and Full of Flavor
Once you’ve indulged in the delicious mezze, it’s time to enjoy the heartier mains that are the backbone of Lebanese food. The mixed grill platter is one of the most popular choices, offering an assortment of grilled meats like juicy chicken skewers, tender lamb chops, and savoury kebabs. Each piece of meat is marinated with a blend of spices that infuse it with flavour and cooked to perfection, ensuring a deliciously satisfying experience.
For something a little more substantial, the grilled lamb dishes are a highlight. Whether it’s lamb shawarma or a lamb kofta, the tenderness and depth of flavour in the meat are what make these dishes stand out. They’re often served with fragrant rice or flatbreads, perfect for soaking up all the flavours.
Vegetarian Delights for Every Palate
Lebanese cuisine caters to all dietary preferences, and vegetarians can indulge in a wide array of dishes that are just as hearty and satisfying. One such dish is stuffed grape leaves, also known as warak enab. These are tender grape leaves wrapped around a rice, tomato, and herb filling, creating a burst of flavour in every bite.
Falafel is another vegetarian favourite, offering a crispy, golden exterior with a soft, herb-filled interior. It’s commonly served as part of a mezza platter or as a main dish alongside salads and dips.
