SPOILER ALERT: I highly recommend viewing this match in its entirety before reading this post.

So let's begin:  +1: For Troy... very few wrestlers have reached Troy's shredded abs level of perfection.  Now for all those  pretty guys out there who are squeamish or can't get into wrestling.  Troy has no such problem - the guy handles his face/jobber role like a man.

There are no words needed to explain the perfection that is Troy's body. 

Troy baiting his heel to get him to wrestle. 

+1: For Shane at the height of his heel prowess.  No wrestler was more experienced, more intimidating, more domineering, than Shane at the height of his heel perfection.  The guy has paid his dues as a jobber and is finally coming into his own at this point.  +A for Shane if the A stands for Asserting his will on a jobber.  

+1: The chemistry between a forcible heel and a tough as nails jobber selling this match to perfection.  What do you get when you combine a rugged, top notch heel with a pliable, take anything you can throw his way jobber - you get this masterpiece, that's what.  It's not so much a 'fight' as a testosterone fueled dance with each man knowing their roles to perfection.  

+1: Along those lines, these two pros truly know how to turn a muscled brawl into a narrative between men.  All those hard bodies are one thing but to take all that and add in the competition, the twists and turns, the adrenaline - all work to make this match legendary.  

Troy's thighs are strong enough to take down anyone ... but sometimes it's skill not strength that is king.

Troy is not going to just take it. 

+1: For this seamless Ab stretch to an over-the-knee backbreaker.  Shane absolutely is the man for pulling this off and his ability to unleash this on poor Troy is a triumph.  

Shane: What do you say? Huh?

Troy: [Groan]

Shane: Give it up! Give it up man! Troy: I ... I... 

+1: Shane knows how to humiliate his jobber.  Short of begging, Troy is made to show how useless those show muscles are against the shear tenacity of Shane.  

Something about making that cocky muscle hunk climb up your burly body to prove you're the man!

Or teaching him a lesson and making him arch his back in pain.

+1: For that Heel-turn.  Troy was simply never destined to win.  While Troy may be gifted by genetics one hundred times over, gay wrestling has a way of making things right in the world by turning those ripped golden muscles a bright shade of red, I think the exact color is punishment red to be exact.  

In a shock to the system, the unconquerable has been conquered. 

First the celebration ... More celebration with those sweaty shiny abs...

Then to add glistening muscly insult to jobber victory - Troy pours water on himself. 

Just one step too far.  You've poked the bear and will regret this Troy!

Yup celebration hangover. 

+1: For that Ending.  To further lay claim of the jobber, Shane pours more cold water on the jobber and makes the man submit over and over again until he's satisfied.  Soaking wet muscles glisten with water and Shane shows him off for all to see.  I mean what good is a victory if not to put that shiny, bronze, strong body on display like your own personal trophy.  Hell, making a Trophy jobber out of Troy is worth a bonus point there [+1].  

Soak your muscle boy until he's good and shiny

Then unleash all hell on his best assets.

A win isn't really a victory unless your opponent is so destroyed he regrets ever agreeing to the match.

So there you have it. It's really not an exaggeration when they say they don't make em like this anymore.  Where else can you see two wrestling titans in their respective levels of, overpower you heel-ness, and give you everything I got jobber-ness.  The biggest mistake of all time was when Troy seductively poured water on himself.  The man might as well shine a searchlight on that sculpted ripped body of his and announce he was ready for some heel punishment.  In the end, it's no surprise that Troy was destroyed, put on humiliating display, and claimed as Shane's personal trophy to add to his collection.

Y/n was on his way to school thinking about anything and everything except for him. Recently, he had developed a crush and a strong one too, it took everything not think about him, fantasise about him. He was doing pretty well until in the distance he saw him, before being pulled into thoughts about him. How he always wore flannel shirts and would always ride around in his old sky blue truck, suddenly a loud car horn pulled Y/n out of his thoughts.

Embarrassed at the stares, Y/n rushed out of the way of the car and looked back to where he thought he saw his crush only to see another person. Y/n sighed thankfully that his crush didn’t see him almost get runover. He paced his way to his locker and started switching out his books but stopped when he noticed the regular group of people standing by Scott McCall’s locker. He let his gaze stop on the brown-haired human.

“You know if you keep staring, you might burn a hole in his head.” Bree, Y/n’s friend, said, breaking Y/n out of his gaze. “One word. One word and I can set her pretty little hands on fire.” He gritted through his teeth, seeing Malia’s hand in Stiles’ made him slightly upset. “Careful, baby witch.  Look at what you’re doing.” Bree informed, making Y/n aware of the flickering lights causing him to turn and face his locker, controlling his powers.

“You need to find a way to control those feelings of yours before they get you exposed.” Bree suggested. “I’ll be fine. It was just a little hiccup, nothing to worry about.” Y/n denied, closing his locker and locking arms with Bree. They both walked past Scott’s locker and Y/n snuck a glance at Stiles but was surprised to see him looking at him. Stiles gave Y/n a greeting nod but Y/n shyly looked away and continued on his way to class. “Why didn’t you say ‘hello’ back?” Bree asked, whispering incredulously. “Because I was caught off-guard.” Y/n answered, whispered back afraid the werewolves would hear.

Y/n sat in front of Stiles, a strategy in trying to get over him, unfortunately Stiles sat directly behind him so that he could sit next to Scott. Y/n had kept his head down and focused on his work, waiting for his test results that the teacher was busy handing out. Y/n had received his test results and mentally celebrated his excellent results. In this moment, there was no thought of Stiles Stilinski until he felt a tap on his shoulder from behind.

He turned around and his eyes meet brown, chocolate ones. “I saw your test score. You did pretty great.” Stiles complimented with a smile, “Thank you, Stiles.” Y/n thanked, nervously. “Please don’t disturb others, Mr Stilinski.” The teacher reprimanded, with a look. “Sorry teach!” Stiles mockingly apologised, giving Y/n a wink to which he returned with a blush and a smile before turning to face the front again. He was hoping that no werewolf in the class was listening to his heartbeat.

Y/n sat with Bree on the stands watching Beacon Hills High play against Devenford Prep in a lacrosse game. The match was heated as they were tied and there only two minutes on the clock. The stands were watching with bated breath until Stiles suddenly scored a goal causing the stands to erupt in excitement. Time was up and the game was over, people rushed off the stands. “I’m gonna find Greenberg. See you later.” Bree said, giving Y/n a kiss on the cheek before leaving him.

“Hey Y/n! You came to watch the game?” Mr Stilinski asked, approaching him. “I did, my friend wanted to watch her boyfriend and needed some company.” He answered his neighbour. “You need a ride, home?” the sheriff offered, but before he could answer Stiles excitedly appeared. “Well done, my son scored the winning goal!” Mr Stilinski boasted, causing Stiles to roll his eyes before noticing Y/n’s presence. “Congrats Stiles.” Y/n cooly said, giving him a smile and earned one in return with a thanks.

Y/n watched Stiles walked toward Malia and give her a hug before closing his eyes and looking in the other direction. He rejected Noah’s offer for a ride home and decided to walk. “Hey Y/n! Wait up!” a voiced called to him from behind, on his walk. He turned to the voice and lo and behold, there was Stiles running up to him still in his lacrosse uniform. “You know it’s dangerous to walk alone in the middle of night.” Stiles warned as he reached Y/n who didn’t look him in the eye.

“Well you know me, I live for danger.” Y/n joked before sneezing and rubbing his arms. “I actually don’t know you.” Stiles disagreed, as he placed his lacrosse jacket over Y/n’s shoulders to get him warm.

“We’re not friends so you’re not expected to.” Y/n responded, holding the jacket around his figure as the scent of Stiles’ cologne became stronger.

“Well, we should hang out sometime. You can bring Bree and I can bring my friends. So that we can all be friends. What about tomorrow?”

And there was the word that made Y/n’s heart sting: Friends. In that moment he remembered why he couldn’t be with Stiles and so the wise decision would be reject to the offer and forget about Stiles Stilinski entirely. “It’s a date. Bye and thank you for walking me home.” Y/n quickly said before entering his house and shutting the door on Stiles’ face. He made his way to his room and once inside he noticed something in his full-length mirror.

He was still wearing Stiles’ lacrosse jacket. And he heard a ding from his phone and pulled it out see a message: You looked too cute wearing my jacket for me to ask for it back. See you on our date tomorrow 😉 – Stiles.

Né à Los Angeles le 5 juillet 1940, Arthur Murray Blythe était le troisième d’une famille de trois garçons (un quatrième était mort en bas âge). Le père d’Arthur était mécanicien, sa mère maîtresse de maison et couturière à temps partiel. Après le divorce de ses parents, Arthur était allé vivre avec sa mère à Chicago. Il était éventuellement retourné à Los Angeles à l’âge de dix-neuf ans.

C’est à Los Angeles que Blythe avait rencontré le pianiste Horace Tapscott et qu’il était devenu membre de l’Union of God’s Musicians and Artists Ascension, dont Tapscott était un des principaux représentants.

À l’âge de neuf ans, inspiré par le rhythm n’ blues et la musique swing qu’adorait sa mère, Blythe lui avait demandé de lui acheter un trombone, mais celle-ci lui avait offert un saxophone alto à la place.

Blythe avait étudié la musique avec Kirkland Bradford, un ancien membre du big band de Jimmie Lunceford. On raconte que le style de Blythe rappelait alors celui de saxophonistes d’après-guerre comme Earl Bostic. Blythe avait joué du rhythm n’ blues jusqu’au milieu de son adolescence alors qu’il avait découvert le jazz. Au milieu des années 1960, Blythe avait fait partie de l’Underground Musicians and Artists Association (UGMAA), qui avait été fondée par Horace Tapscott. C’est d’ailleurs avec Tapscott que Blythe avait enregistré un premier disque en 1969 intitulé ‘’The Giant Is Awakened.’’ UN ESPRIT SANS COMPROMIS Blythe était dans la trentaine lorsqu’il avait déménagé à New York au milieu des années 1970, car il se sentait frustré par les limites de la scène musicale de Los Angeles. Connu pour son indépendance et son esprit sans compromis, Arthur était d’ailleurs surnommé ‘’Black Arthur’’ à Los Angeles. Très engagé socialement, Blythe n’avait jamais mâché ses mots et détestait le racisme sous toutes ses formes.

Afin de gagner sa vie, Blythe avait travaillé comme gardien de sécurité avant d’être invité à accompagner en 1975 le batteur Chico Hamilton avec qui il était resté durant deux ans. De 1976 à 1979, Blythe, dont la sonorité était déjà facilement reconnaissable par son côté tranchant (qui s’apparentait davantage à un saxophone ténor qu’à saxophone alto), avait joué avec l’orchestre de Gil Evans, les trompettistes Lester Bowie et Woody Shaw, le batteur Jack DeJohnette et le pianiste McCoy Tyner. Parall��lement, Blythe avait formé son propre groupe avec le pianiste John Hicks, le conbassiste Fred Hopkins et le batteur Steve McCall, avec qui il avait joué à Carnegie Hall et au Village Vanguard en 1979.

Dès son arrivée à New York, Blythe avait adopté une instrumentation pour le moins inusitée, notamment sur l’album ‘’Lenox Avenue Breakdown’’ sur lequel figuraient le tuba de Bob Stewart, la guitare électrique de James Blood Ulmer, la basse électrique de Cecil McBee, la flûte de James Newton, les percussions de Guilhermo Franco et la batterie de Jack DeJohnette. En 1977, le critique du New York Times Robert Palmer avait décrit le style de Blythe de la façon suivante: “He is sly; he teases the beat, toys with polyrhythms and leaves gaping holes in the fabric of the music, only to come roaring back in with plangent held tones or crisp, punching riffs.”

Même après avoir signé avec Columbia en 1978, Blythe avait insisté pour conserver son autonomie musicale. Il faut dire que Blythe n’était plus un enfant de choeur, car il était dans la quarantaine au moment de la signature de son contrat. Blythe avait enregistré neuf albums aux styles diversifiés dans le cadre de son contrat avec Columbia. Même lorsque Columbia avait refusé de renouveler son contrat en 1987, Blythe avait continué de jouer et d’enregistrer régulièrement. En 1977, Blythe s’était joint au groupe du batteur Steve Reid, avec lequel il avait enregistré l’album ‘’Rhythmatism.’’ Dans sa revue des albums des années 1970, le critique Robert Christgau avait salué en 1981 la puissance du jeu de Blythe en déclarant que : "like so many of the new players Blythe isn't limited to modern methods by his modernism—he favors fluent, straight-ahead Coltrane modalities, but also demonstrates why he belongs on a tune for Cannonball."

En 1977, Blythe avait commencé à enregistrer comme leader de ses propres formations, d’abord sur l’étiquette India Navigation puis pour les disques Columbia de 1978 à 1987. Le tuba de Bob Stewart était mis particulièrement en valeur sur ces albums, et prenait la place habituellement réservée à la contrebasse. Des albums comme ‘’The Grip’’ et ‘’Metamorphosis’’ avaient contribué à démontrer la maturité de Blythe, tout autant que son habileté à jouer dans des contextes tant de free jazz que plus traditionnels avec un style tout aussi personnel. En 1982, le critique Francis Davis avait d’ailleurs reconnu la capacité de Blythe à réconcilier les styles musicaux en écrivant que le saxophoniste ‘’may well prove to be the magic figure of reconciliation, the force for consensus, that modern jazz has been looking for in vain since the death of John Coltrane in 1967.” Ouverte à plusieurs tendances, la musique de Blythe alternait entre le bebop, les balades, le blues, le boogie, le pop et le rock. Comme Blythe l’avait expliqué à l’historien Ben Sidran en 1986 : “The music that I deal with has elements of bebop to ballad, swing to sweet, blues to boogie, and pop to rock. Dans son album ‘’In the Tradition’’, Blythe avait d’ailleurs démontré sa grande connaissance de l’histoire du jazz en interprétant des compositions de Duke Ellington, Fats Waller et John Coltrane.

Blythe avait également collaboré à plusieurs albums-phares des années 1980, notamment comme membre du groupe Special Edition de Jack DeJohnette. Blythe avait aussi été membre du groupe tout-étoile The Leaders. Après la mort de Julius Hemphill en 1995, Blythe avait pris sa relève au sein du World Saxophone Quartet. À compter de l’an 2000, Blythe avait enregistra plusieurs albums pour Savant Records. Parmi ceux-ci, citons l’album ‘’Exhale’’ avec le pianiste John Hicks, le tubiste Bob Stewart et le batteur Cecil Brooks. DERNIÈRES ANNÉES Après avoir divorcé de sa seconde femme, Blythe était retourné en Californie en 1998 pour prendre soin de ses enfants. Même s’il donnait beaucoup moins de concerts, Blythe avait continué d’enregistrer des albums pour les disques Savant au début des années 2000. Atteint de la maladie de Parkinson, Blythe avait dû mettre sa carrière musicale en veilleuse. Blythe avait déclaré en 2000 lors d’une entrevue accordée au San Diego Union Tribune: “I would love for everyone to accept my music, and I would love to make money, but only by keeping my music on the cutting edge”.

Arthur Blythe est mort à Lancaster, en Californie, le 27 mars 2017. Il était âgé de soixante-seize ans. Blythe laissait dans le deuil sa troisième femme, Odessa Blythe, ainsi que deux fils, Chalee et Arthur Jr., également issus de son second mariage. Il avait aussi deux demi-frères, Bernard Blythe et Aldrich Neal, ainsi qu’une demi-sœur nommée Daisy Neal. Ses deux premiers mariages s’étaient terminés sur un divorce.
