Watched Ep 3 of ENT and it's so funny how Archer yelled at Trip for "turning tail and running like a coward" when he's the one who told the ship to leave - my guy....you're the captain??? He had zero say in that?? You're the captain

And I fear Loki's place in the line of succession has people unable to differentiate between any of these

#you can't really argue he planned the extent of Thor's downfall #that was all Odin #Loki didn't force Thor to invade Jotunheim he isn't even the one who gave Thor the idea -- Thor did that all on his own!#that he was doing waswasa @ thor didn't help but wasn't really crime worthy on its own #Thor himself took time convincing the other warriors to be okay with the trip despite the treason and danger involved #like. what. Thor can't differentiate good advice from bad and is emotionally volatile and reckless and that's Loki's fault?#THOR was the one who got them past Heimdall too #the entire ordeal inadvertently showed off the favouritism Thor was receiving in comparison to Loki #even though Loki was the one supposedly so easily influencing Thor to such an extent #call Thor a puppet the way he--wait. no. that sounds weird. uhhhhh #you get the point #people will claim Loki was all up in there rearranging Thor's mental processes to cause his downfall #when really it was Loki doing the bare minimum instigation and watching things only devolve from there #because Thor WAS reckless and immature ?? and he WAS quick to anger and enjoyed exerting his power with violence ??#Loki didn't STEAL THE THRONE FROM THOR he literally just is implied to undermine the coronation #that's not even confirmed but we assume it's true that he let the frost giants in near the casket etc.#Loki has his own actual crimes that he did against Thor and hugging his bro's arm and saying 'you're soooooo strong and correct' was not on #even if you manage to argue Loki was cheering Thor on for the invasion (he wasn't) it was clearly to dob Thor in with Odin #which he did when he had some guard inform Odin #that Odin's chosen punishment was for Thor's disobedience aside stop blaming Loki for the damage ODIN inflicted on him #focus on Loki making up lies to Thor about how Odin died instead like at least Loki DID SOMETHING for that #you can even ascribe as evil a motive as you want there bc Loki was slipping fr #twirling his hair and telling Thor he's smarter about the realm's safety than the king was on the normal scale #you want to talk morals go look at how eager Thor was to invade mass destroy and massacre in the other realm #and expected Odin to 'finish them off! together!' bc he was power high on whatever bloodlust pheromones battle apparently imitates for him #sigh. this is why you can't have nice things Thor. no Loki you're barely any better. sit down. have a cookie.

Hi guys, this is usually what a doodle page ends up looking like <3 (oh, and @ancha-aus thought you might like this! Not writing but certainly fuel to my fire lol-)

This one is New Age filled!!! (Close-ups abd Lore beneath the cut!)

1) Night and Cross!

Night is actually very clingy once he's a teen. He doesn't usually realize it, but around the castle he'll snake to be closer to his Knights so long as there's no one he needs to keep his composure infront of is nearby. Cross is the one who's not used to physical touch (when it's not Ink ofc) so Night in his personal bubble makes his heart melt but also scares tf out of him <3

2) Error and Night's Meeting!

Error was carrying his whole life on his back and trying not to get arrested for unintentional property damage at this point, so when he saw the chance to get back at his brother and prove he was strong enough? Yeah, he got that on chance instantly. And was VERY smug when Nightmare chose him. (Also, Error is wearing gloves, so less Haphephobia)

3) Dream and Blue designs!

I think these are good tentative designs! Dream probably has a more regal fit, but he likes to play up that rugged exile look- He's inspired by Archers, while Blue takes on that classic Knightly-vibe. Their equipment is mostly stolen from Night's troops or brought with them from Blue's home kingdom.

Also, Dream is approx Killer's height at this point, shorter than Cross and *much* shorter than Apple!Nightmare. (Hc that Skeletons tend to be tinier in stature thanks to weird monster beauty standards. Horror and Geno's fam are outliers.)

4) Horror and Dust designs!

Horror is naturally a very *large* monster. He's very malnourished when Nightmare meets him, but by the time he's a Knight Nightmare has made sure that's no longer the case. He actually loves comfy, simple clothes, but to play up the whole 'strong mysterious' bit he wears a more barbaric Knight's garb. He doesn't mind acting scary, it's more fun that way :]. Dust is very very small, and envies horror sometimes for his size, but his tiny stature let's him control his body and move a lot quicker. He's very much based on a rogue, and usually covers the lower part of his face w/ a black cloth, and the upper part w/ his hood or mask. Dust only removes both to bathe, eat, or relax in a safe location. (Ignore that I can't draw the stupid gaster blaster lmao-)

These last two were space-fillers, but Cross and his Borzoi (Windmill, otherwise known as Milly (Killer named her-)) and really bad first wips of Ccino! I think Ccino was a chubby, happy toddler, but lost a lot of 'weight' (bone mass? Magic?) due to stress and pressure and bad eating habits. So it isn't until a while after the Coronation that he starts to relax abd feel safe enough to eat normal meals (Nightmare used to guilt him into eating snacks together, but as his boss (and younger brother) he can encourage it more often). By the time Killer shows he's still not quite healthy, but he's better. As more weight is lifted off his shoulders, the better he is. (That 'beauty' most people saw was a more stereotypical slimness, but Killer never stopped seeing Ccino as beautiful-) I think he never looked traditionally underweight, so no one noticed, and it was only much later that Night processed it. (And maybe it's why Dream hardly recognized him later on-)

#new age au #I love showing mundane life things-#and also these designs beamed into my brain #I can't draw Ccino for anything but the others? yeag #Blue is definitely my fave. and just like every au I will draw Blue perfect the first time and draw Dust 6 billion times 😔#Horror is kinda banger too tho #makes me laugh to imagine Horror picking up Dust mid-fight out of convenience and Dust weighs nothing to him #(also this size difference is exactly why Dust and Horror fight in the non-magic training. and why Horror accidentally obliterated his #shoulder later on lmao- Dust needs to be able to dodge any enemy. Horror needs to aim for small and quick targets.)#(Meanwhile Cross is the newest and Killer the oldest and if Cross adapts to Killer then he'll adapt to the others more easily.)#oh! and Ccino w/ his arc? I think I really like the idea of a Ccino with a plump body-type. but that conflicts with my vidion of Ccino kinda #losing track of eating and being co-erced by adults to skip meals just enough to make him the 'right amount' of curvy #so when Nightmare takes over it's a habit he's so used to he hardly notices that he's doing it. but. Night picks up on it because Ccino is #almost akways with him. their relationship is very much Ccino giving his life to help Night #but it's also Night recognizing that and giving it back to Ccino along with more the moment he can #just smth smth this au is full of fit and exercized people and I think Ccino deserves some comfort and healing and positivity <3 #also I am SO fond of Nightmare getting up in people's bubbles. he does it most to Killer and Ccino for obvious reasons but #god forbid a noble be talking behind his back because he *will* twist around and shove under his knight's arms or sides just to #read them the riot act or stare them down <3 #and I think when he was an adult Night was... kinda like the big brother? like. not an experienced one by any means. but he wasn't *not*#affectionate then either. he was better at being serious about it and more discreet. but like #Nervous Cross escorting him in public? Night nudges his shoulder briefly with a Tendril to try and comfort him. Dust having a magic overload #? personal Training against just Night so there was no risk of harming anyone else. then snacks and tea after.#Horror is homesick? Woah look at that a scheduled trip back to visit with Crop and side-track back to Horror's village? huh?? wild...#Killer upset at all? Night will find a solution. just you wait. a cat. two cats. perhaps even a cat in a little sweater? or y'know. just a #chat or a combat?#Nightmare showed his affections but was just more distant about it.#Oh also. all four were used to tendrils lifting/tugging them subconsciously. usually during trainings to avoid them hurting eachother by #mistake in their early days. Killer misses it sometimes

James: We've been over this before! It's not about money. I like having a job. I need to have a job. I need something that's mine.

Ti: [annoyed huff] I understand that, but recently you're acting like your job is your entire life. And if it's not a work trip you're flying off to Mt. Komorebi at the drop of a hat!

James: Takuya was going through something-

Ti: You've barely talked to each other these last few years! All of a sudden what he is going through is more important than being with your family on New Year's Eve!?!?

James: Just because we drifted apart doesn't change that he's like a brother to me.

Ti: Ok. Fine. But I'm your wife.

James: I know. [sighs] I'll take Friday off. Ok?

Ti: That'd be nice. Nicer if your work phone is turned off, too.

James: It will be. Promise.

Ti: Good... I'll have the housekeeper put away the travel crib. You're right, we should try to keep him on track. And I'll leave you to rest a bit... I love you.

James: Thank you. Love you too.

Ti leaves, James pulls out his work phone

#wandee goodday #wandee goodday the series #wandee goodday series #listen listen listen #i am glad that ter is starting to realize things about himself #i'm glad he's starting to embrace his feelings #howmstever he needs to do that in a way where he is able to give up some control #he cannot control dee's actions or responses #he needs to communicate with dee not make decisions for him #ter and dee do not mesh because dee is super competitive about silly little things #and he doesn't like being told what to do. he likes gentle nudging and he also likes his boundaries #yak still hasn't kissed him despite both of them knowing how bad yak wants to #ter extended their japan trip without talking to dee and then tried to kiss him not even knowing how dee feels about being kissed #dee hasn't had a chance to explain #and even before he had a chance to explain with yak #yak wasn't kissing him. yak was operating strictly off of body language and managed to not kiss dee #then he asked about it in a non-judgemental way and dee felt comfortable enough to tell him #and yak said got it boss. you know i want to kiss you but this is a boundary that we will not cross #until we are ready and willing to cross it together #yes yak has pushed a bit because he wants it but he always goes slow enough and gives dee enough space to back out before they kiss #which dee does #and he will back out until he doesn't #but that's the difference between ter and yak #dee was closed in and didn't have a lot of options to avoid the kiss if it hadn't been interrupted #i don't doubt dee would have managed to avoid it but ter blocked off a lot of opportunities to leave #yak leaves space for dee to leave if he wants to #ter is controlling and yak is freeing #and that is why dee was able to fall for yak after 8 years of pining for ter #he is free from the feelings that were controlling him #and now he can move on and be happy with someone who truly understands him

anyone else feeling fundamentally incapable of adjusting to society. also just discovered there's a 30 tag limit which i can't believe i've never hit before

#like it was one thing when i was in high school and college like wasn't socialized as a child due to not receiving schooling and growing up #sda blah blah whatever but like i'm almost 27 and i am barely functioning lol like i feel like i'm struggling to have a normal conversation #even more than i used to and i think my speech cadence is noticably off which i don't think it always has been #some of it is definitely from chronic exhaustion from having to get up too early and the stress of having a frequently panic inducing boss #but like. come on now. i can't even drive despite finally having a license because i'm too scared/distractible/poor reaction time #over a dozen antidepressants have not worked. adderall is not working great either #i'm SO much dumber than i used to be and it's driving me quite literally insane #i don't even think it's from getting covid in july because i was noticing it before although it definitely became way more noticeable after #i got this job. i've never been this bad at a job in my life and it's something anyone who knows me would assume i'd be good at #it's embarrassing. i cannot fucking remember anything i struggle to do the most basic of arithmetic to fill prescriptions i make the same #silly mistakes multiple times i am constantly asking stupid questions and still somehow fucking up all the time #it's not as bad as it was a couple months ago and frankly i'm shocked i haven't gotten fired i keep thinking that's going to happen #of course i wanted to quit this job four months ago but now i'm at like a sunk cost fallacy point unfortunately #this is obviously not like any kind of career position for many reasons but i don't know what else to do unless i move across the country #again. i'm not even qualified for anything besides animal related things and summer camp which are fine obviously but not great if you want #things like benefits or paid leave or not to get burned out as hell lmao #i don't even feel like i could do any customer service jobs because i literally struggle to put a coherent sentence together on the spot #everything is so slow. soooo slow i'm literally losing my mind which is catastrophic because my mind is all i've ever had going for me #and i'm having kind of a horrible existence lately which is exacerbating all my problems except the problems make it mostly impossible to d #anything to fix it. ok going out and doing some fun stuff for a day makes me feel better that's great. except then i need a day after that #to recover from doing things the previous day. so the only feasible day for doing things would be saturday. except on saturdays i'm #recovering from working. i literally only work 4 days and barely over 30 hours it's Not that crazy. i mean the boss is crazy and the job ca #also be crazy obviously but 30 hours a week is minimal compared to other work schedules i've maintained before #anyway but the most i can do after work is go to the store if i need to but i almost never have energy for anything fun #and the fucking bus doesn't run on sundays and walking miles to get literally anywhere takes a lot of energy i don't have #i'm about to move next weekend and i'm dreading it because it's going to be so much work and i'm so fucking tired #and i don't have any friends to help me with cleaning i might be able to get help moving my stuff but i'm not even confident about that #i might have to rent a uhaul but i would honestly rather pay somebody to help because i'm that scared of driving even for one 30 min trip #whatever....sorry i had to feel bad for myself in the tumblr dot edu tags again i'm not in therapy rn #(<- guy who should be in therapy)

Can Monster Prom let Miranda be something other than a political caricature for five minutes

#monster prom #miranda vanderbilt #she has spoken #I feel like the frustrating thing about Miranda is that her character concept is really creative and has a lot of potential #Like “cutesy bubbly princess being a bigoted maniac that is used to critique classism and monarchinism” is a great idea!#Problem is in the first game at least #that's all there was to her #Now this would be fine if Miri wasn't anything more a funny strawman #but she isn't #instead the player somehow has to get emotionally attached to the genocidal would be tyrant #and like I'm not saying that the devs should've scrubbed Miranda of all her flaws #the tagline of this game is literally “be your worst self” after all #I just think it would be neat if we got more events of her showing different sides of herself would be neat #and the game could STILL show how evil Miranda is even when she's showing her redeeming qualities #for example: why not an event with Miranda ordering her guards to shield her friends #while trying to brutally murder the birds that happen to be flying that day #or have her executing one of her classmates for insulting her sisters #also no Miranda's ending in the second term DLC does not flesh her out better #I do like Miranda's characterization in monster road trip but having her decide to be a better person out of nowhere was disappointing
