another spread about letting go!!! except this one feels more pertinent. well, let's be real, the last one was pretty dire, too... anyway. my little caterpillars, your cards are less about the past or future, and more about the present. in fact, only about the present! the 10 of wands shows that you've been shouldering too much on your back, likely relating to self consciousness, some sort of inability to say "no", and/or difficulty especially in regards to living in the moment. but here's the thing... you've gotta. the hanged man puts it clearly: in order to get what you want, this situation requires you completely let go of whatever it is you've been holding onto. whether that's how you're being perceived or otherwise, it must be shed. the hanged man is upside down, able to see the world from a completely different perspective. try to change how you see things. live in the present moment and see what you notice; what changes when you give your entire attention to what someone is saying? or the thing you're doing? is everything really as you thought it was after seeing it from this new perspective? however you need to enact this change, the time to strike is right fucking now, baby. the engines are revving and ready to GO!!! don't be scared, what happens next is destiny. o_<~✭

like those who picked pile 2, the time for movement is NOW, my little froggies! you must declare yourself openly!! you are blessed to have a good head on your shoulders, being intelligent and good at handling authority. however! moving forwards, you will need to learn how to temper this energy (knight of swords). sometimes, this can go too far, where unadulterated words can hurt someone, coming across as blunt. it's true that you do know a lot about the world, but you need to let there be space for others' observations and knowledge. you can't possibly know everything! after making this big declaration, or finding this missing piece of the puzzle, you will get to the heart of the matter, to sift between what is true, what is fake, and to learn what to say-- versus what to definitely not say. a useful asset later on will be using the energy of the queen of cups, which means you must react to others through compassion and kindness, and try to be in tune with their emotional undercurrents. easier said than done, right? however, with the use of your intuition and logic combined, it will be much easier to wade through this future situation. in the meantime, i'd use that talkative knight of swords energy to propel yourself towards... whatever it is you need to propel yourself towards. here's a tip, whenever i feel a lightness in my chest, i know the answer's yes, but a pit in my stomach, be expected to plummet!!!... or, um, "no" would be the answer for that one. good luck! im also getting that some (3?) of you have some sort of.. For some background, I'm currently an undergrad student in History but have been feeling a bit unconfident in my abilities recently. Though, I do really enjoy it. Hello hello, LO! Yes/no questions aren't feasible for tarot (at least, not how I read it), so your question requires a little reworking. How about we approach this from the angle of "How can I build confidence to pursue a Masters in an area I enjoy?" For this reading, I'm using the Transient Light Tarot, and you got the Ten Coins (which are Pentacles in other decks).

In this deck, the Ten Coins signifies an abundant legacy, some form of stability and knowledge that goes beyond yourself, typically in a downward motion - aka, to people that come after you. It's about creating a storehouse of resources and information for those who come after, regardless of whether that's in terms of blood or something else. Sustainability is key.

So really, in order to build or rebuild confidence in yourself, you've gotta go back to what you're passionate about and what encouraged you to pursue a Masters in History to begin with. Even if you choose to move to a different Masters, you've gotta keep in mind the reason why you're doing this. What draws you most to your fields? What keeps you going? What needs to be revisited?

That's ultimately the question, huh? I can't make your career or scholarly choices for you, and neither can tarot. But hopefully this reading has given you a fresh perspective that you can now bring back to assess this aspect of your own life.

The Six of Wands wants to let you know that you’ve made it through some tough times (looking at you, Five), but you persevered and worked hard and now you should enjoy the success. Any recommendations on tarot/oracle decks that have simple designs and don't hurt the eyes?

If bright colors hurt the eyes, I recommend the Transient Light Tarot. It utilizes black, brown, white, and a desaturated green on all of the cards, keeping things simple and aiming for making the deck as gender-neutral as possible.

The image was stolen from an Etsy listing because my camera is ass. Probably don't buy tarot decks off of Etsy, they tend to be scams.

If simple pip decks are what you're looking for, consider the Celestial Tarot Cards. This deck is very simplistic but has a little more color at its disposal than the Transient Light Tarot.

As for oracle decks, consider the Spirit Allies deck and the Green Witch Oracle.

The Spirit Allies deck is broken up into "goddesses", plants, crystals, animals, and zodiac signs. I tend to read the goddess and zodiac sign cards as personalities of figures, not necessarily Cleopatra, Libra, or Oshun. Also, there's a cannabis card, just in case you don't like weed.

Noticing a pattern of me stealing these images from Etsy? This one is actually really pretty.

The Green Witch Oracle, by contrast, is solely about plants. I don't care much for the spells included, but it provides divination meanings, cultivation techniques, and correspondences and associations for the plants in question. The elements don't always line up, but it is what it is.

The Spacious Tarot and the Transient Light Tarot are my two faves; Transient Light has that hearth/ceremonial vibe and I love the restricted color scheme in contrast to Spacious’s vibrant colors and borderless glory. You’ll notice both of these have no people, because I hate people in my decks <3

I have no idea how popular they are. Maybe everyone knows about them, maybe they don’t.

You don't have to worry about potentially triggering topics, it's kind of a given that anything goes here, and I'd like to have background information to make sure I'm not barking up the wrong tree. But I also understand wanting to maintain privacy, which I do my best to respect! I have selected the Transient Light Tarot for this reading, as the Major Arcana come with little poems.

Moderation, staying grounded, dilution.

When two elements are blended, the diluted results are easier to swallow. An even temper keeps a healthy discussion from becoming an exchange of insults. Sometimes, less is more. This card prompts us to stay grounded and keep our balance for greater gains.

On the other hand, playing the safe route is not always enough. There's a time to be gentle and safe, and other times to be potent and take a risk.

There's an analogy I really like, maybe it could help. If you've been trying to get back into your groove but nothing's going right, think of it like this: There are bird days and there are statue days. Some days, you are the bird, and you shit upon the statue. Other days, you are the statue, and you get shat upon. You appear to be in your statue days, but you will eventually get bird days once again.
