gender doesn't fully exist in Cybertronian society the way it does for terrans (in that it's an oppressive construct) but it does still exist and there are some who hold strong opinions about how it works

unfortunately, many of those people are in high society positions and are vocal about their opinions- mostly behind other's backs

Starborn didn't fit into presentability politics on Earth, deliberately, so she sure as hell wasn't going to give a fuck about it on New Cybertron

that didn't stop her from picking up a somewhat quiet conversation about him between a couple council members at an event, specifically about how he presents himself

and i don't mean to speak ill of the prince, you know that - mhm,, - it's one thing for him to let that brute follow him around but to show all those scars, he looks mauled. and then try to act like a femme? - yes,, can't at least look the part your attempting to play? even,, her highness,, tries. - yes, yes.

Drunk Headcanons

Rung

* Rung doesn’t drink, but does understand the importance of the social drink and how the social aspect can help a bot mingle and make friends. He will accompany you to Swerve’s to hang out and to also make sure that you make it back to the berth alright.

* Rung has enough experience with your drinking to know what to expect and the type of drunk you become when intoxicated. Though Rung does express his concerns about the amount you drink or trying to limit yourself, he knows it’s your choice and at least he can be beside you to make sure you’re having fun.

* If you pull Rung to dance with you, he’ll gladly join you though if it’s later in the night, he’s helping to keep you supported while you lean on him. You also have a tendency to want to try on his glasses while drunk which he’ll gladly let you and joke about how blind he is.

* If you’re a sad or angry drunk, Rung uses his professional skills to help ease you into a better mindset or comfort you until you start to sober up. He shares the laughs with you as a happy drunk, willing to listen and talk as a chatty drunk but flirty drunk he has to be careful with! He gets very flustered, whether you were dating or not, and does his best to sidestep your flirts until you’re sober.

* Rung helps to take you back to your berth, with or without your help, and makes sure to follow up with you later to ease your hangover. Its during these walks that you tend to confess deeper thoughts or even a love confession which he’ll take with a grain of salt but still, if it was true and that you loved him, he’ll just wait for the more sober you to tell him. Any confession told will be kept confidential, of course. If you ask him to join you in the berth, he’ll refuse as he doesn’t want to take advantage of the situation.
