Zephyr Land Yacht, 1936. Designed for "millionaire" William Woods Plankinton, Jr. by Brooks Stevens. A two-part rig, the trailer pulled by a teardrop-like cab, accommodated six with two staff. The occupants had access to a kitchen, bathroom (with shower) and living room. The chauffeur and cook had bunks. From 1936 on, the yacht regularly carried its owner and his guests across country to and from New York and California.
