Hi hi hi yes absolutely

(I assumed you meant FTM for both but if not, feel free to send another ask!!)

Mondo started transitioning shortly after puberty with Daiya’s support.

He feels very lucky that he happened to be tall.

Started a strict work out routine to build muscle and has done so many chest exercises to get those pecs.

Mildly irritated that he still can’t grow much facial or body hair.

Daiya was very supportive throughout his transition after some in depth research.

He’s sometimes dysphoric about his hair and eye make up, but he improves with time!

Taka realised he was trans much later in life.

He has a healthy dose of internalised, repressed garbage to sift through before he can tell anyone.

His first short hair cut was a very big deal. He cried a lot.

In general, there are a lot of tears throughout this process.

Like Daiya, Takaaki does a lot of research in order to best support his son.

In Hopes Peak, Taka has a small pride pin on his school bag.

He came out to Mondo in the sauna. Mondo did the same almost immediately. Insert pointing Spider-Man meme.

Breaking Point

I've posted this on Ao3 but might as well post it here too. A deeper divulge into Taka's middle school years, major trigger warnings for pre-transition, suicidal ideation, implied CSA, references to transphobia, references to child abuse. Also contains good parent Takaaki if that's not up your alley for whatever reason, as well as references to Toranosuke

Pain was a normal part of Kiyotaka’s life. He had dealt with it since he was a child, all too much in middle school, and very often in that accursed game. Even if the killing game had not been real, the effects of it were all too intense. However, there were certain instances of pain that stood out more than others. Like with his grandfather. 

Things never went well with his grandfather. He always wound up being called by a name that wasn’t his, and blamed for things he couldn’t yet understand. He had hoped that, at the very least, the hair tugging would’ve stopped when he cut it so short. He had liked it much better that way, as that was a better show of his true self. Unfortunately that didn’t stop the hair pulling, but it did decrease it. Taka wasn’t sure when, but at one point or another he had grown numb to his grandfather’s ways of punishment. They had continued and continued, until one day, when he had been struck across the face just a second after his father and mother arrived home. He isn’t quite clear on what happened next. His father was angry, but not at him. No, no. His mother made that very clear, Taka hadn’t done anything wrong. Which was incorrect, as he had tripped and fallen and… oh. Well. That isn’t right. Children fall all the time, it was not something to have been punished for… still, he remembered a lot of yelling. Not at him, in fact he wasn’t quite sure what all was yelled. He had been brought to another room, so his mother could cool the reddening mark on his face. All he was sure of was that that was the day he no longer saw his grandfather. A large part of him was thankful for it, as bad as that sounded. He was glad to be rid of that source of pain. 

Although, despite that source being gone, Taka still often experienced pain. Even though he had been able to grow numb to his grandfather’s methods, he never found himself able to handle the harassment from his classmates. Which was confusing, it’s not like he had dealt with it less. In fact, he dealt with their harassment and attacks far more than he did his grandfather. It was only when in his last year of middle school that he found it all to really hurt. Looking back, there were other factors. That was the year his mother died, on his birthday, no less. It was also the year his brother left for Hopes Peak. His big brother was who he trusted most, and now he was gone. Not in the same way as mother, at least. It still hurt though. It wasn’t fair. Why was he the target of misfortune? He tried to be a good person. He tried to support everyone around him, he encouraged them to be their best, but they called him bad names. A filthy Ishimaru. A girl. A name that was not his. The school forced him to wear a uniform that wasn’t his. The teachers didn’t listen when he said he had been pushed down the stairs. He didn’t forget the one who touched him in ways his father made it very clear nobody was supposed to. It wasn’t fair. Maybe it was selfish of him, but he didn’t want to help anyone anymore. He didn’t want to be around for the harassment. He didn’t want to endure the stares he got. He couldn’t take it anymore. He wasn’t going to. He loved his father, sister, and big brother, but . . . it was too much. 

So when he came home with his sister, removed his shoes, ignored his father’s greeting and made a passing comment about a headache, grabbing the acetaminophen and shoving it into his pocket, walked into his room as quickly as he could, he should’ve expected it to raise suspicion. He should’ve locked the door. 

But he didn’t do that. The door was unlocked, and his father was soon at it. Only opening it when his son didn’t respond after two knocks, finding Taka sitting there with a pill bottle, eyes filled with tears. Stupid childproof caps. It wouldn’t budge. He was ready to be yelled at, but was instead met with his father kneeling down next to him, gently taking the pill bottle from him. He wasn’t angry. He didn’t yell. But instead, pulled his son closer, and softly pet his head. Only words of comfort were said as Taka cried into his father’s shoulder, a constant reminder that he was not going to be left alone. That he was loved, that everything would be okay. 

“…father?”

“Yes, Taka?”

“Is there something wrong with me?”

“Why would you think that?”

“Well, none of my classmates like me, and my teacher refuses to listen when I try to tell her about what they do to me. Then they keep doing… well, a lot of things to me.”

“…What sort of things, son?”

Taka was always thankful to be called that. Even in a vulnerable moment like this, he couldn’t stop the small smile upon hearing his father refer to him as his son. It proved what his classmates said wrong. He was a boy, no matter what they said. …right. His classmates. Where did he even start? What would be too much? He never told his father about what was going on. He did initially, of course, but he stopped when he saw how stressful his mother and father got just from hearing about his first few months at middle school. 

He didn’t mean to upset people this way, he never wanted to upset anyone. Maybe he shouldn’t go into the worst of it. To be fair, the glass filled cookies seemed a bit of a stretch… that was the goal, though. Nobody would believe him. 

So it was best to stick to the small things. 

“Um, well… th-they don’t like that I…” Taka looked up at his father, being met with a look reserved for him and his siblings. An empathy unmatched by any other. Suddenly, speaking of the little things and only the little things seemed… wrong. “They don’t seem to like that I exist, so they’ll, um… sometimes they write things on my desk… or they’ll hit me.. o-or push me down the stairs.”

It was at this that his father’s hold tightened. Maybe the cookies could be brought up another day… 

��Is… there more?”

Taka pondered that. Not whether or not there was more, no. He knew the answer to that. However, he was more debating as to whether or not he should be upfront and tell what else happened. He tried not to think about the worst things… some of them were just too much, even for him. And he quite prided himself on his strength regarding how much he put up with. 

It seemed his silence acted as an answer, his father taking it as a confirmation, but picking up that Taka didn’t want to talk about it. 

“Can you tell me what they write on your desk?” The silence didn’t break, “…would you want to go to another school this year?”

That got his attention, as Taka… was unsure how to answer. That did sound appealing. 

“Do… do you think they’ll allow me to wear the right uniform?”

“I’ll make sure of it. Do you remember Mr. Fujisaki?” Taka nodded. “I’ve spoken to him about the school his daughter attends, they’re far more understanding. I’ve considered the change for a while now, but I didn’t want to spring it on you until I got more information regarding it all.”

“I’d like to go there… if that’s okay.”

“Alright, son.”

“…father?”

“Yes?”

Taka rested his head against his father’s chest, “Can we stay like this a little longer?”

“Of course. Stay however long you like.”

Would yall like more Danganronpa Headcanons

Too bad here we go!! These are more family oriented from my previous headcanons!

Imagine this, all is quiet in the Momota household, his grandparents are enjoying some tea on the patio and you suddenly hear the pitter patter of three toddlers sneaking into the kitchen to eat grandma's cookies and when they find them... Kokichi and Kaito are using their strength combined to help their smaller cousin Mikan climb up and get to the cookie jar for them.

Ok but imagine Kaito's missing his favorite NASA t-shirt and Kokichi's missing his checkered bandana and when they're about to ask Mikan if she's seen them, they find her tying up her hair with the bandana while wearing Kaito's shirt.

Mikan goes on her first date and Kaito and Kokichi are sneaking behind and constantly staring down her date, threatening them if they break her heart, they'll break them.

They wear purple friendship bracelets and they absolutely refuse to take them off, Kokichi has mixture of black and white with the purple, Kaito's a mixture of purple, blue, black, pink and white meant to match the sky while Mikan has pink, purple and white.

Mikan now owns a lot of checkered and galaxy related things and honestly doesn't mind since her cousins now also own a lot of pink thanks to her.

Mikan has mad dog privileges.

Tsumugi has movie nights with her cousins, Sayaka and Shuichi and gets a little too invested in the storyline. Sayaka thinks its funny to watch her get a bit angry when Shuichi makes a comment about the flaw of a show or movie.

Sayaka and Shuichi can at times sit for hours without end of just Tsumugi dressing them up or having them model cosplays for her.

They do each others makeup and even nails!!

You ever bully Shuichi prepare for A. a platform boot being thrown at you and B. a very angry blueberry coming at you ah well... tackling you. You decide which is who because Sayaka and Tsumugi most definitely own platforms and can be both violent if you try to bully their cousin. They won't be taking your bullshit.

Tiny Junko and Miu drag older sister/cousin Mukuro to their mother's makeup bag and find hair dye in there and after reading the instructions ask Mukuro to dye their hair and which she listens to and when their parents find them all three are covered in hair dye and are just in absolute mess.

Mukuro hums quietly everytime she dyes or just fixes up their hair. Junko and Miu don't mind as they find it comforting.

Miu's the younger cousin I don't make the rules but imagine just a pair of tiny twins constantly being protective of Miu when they were growing up.

After meeting Kiyo and imediately claiming him as their new brother, Junko creates a new fashion line for gender-nuetral clothing and even produced models breaking gender norms and when interviewed about it she smiles and says it was for him, Kiyo was her inspiration for it. He was so happy that day he started crying and hugged her when she came home.

These four can always be found either doing each other's hair or fast asleep on the couch with a bowl or popcorn nearby with a movie playing in the background all trying to comfortably stack on top of each other.

Taka learned how to cook and would always try to include his sister's favorite food, gyoza in their meals. Celeste also learned how to make clothes and does give some of these clothing to her dad and brother.

These two siblings when they were younger would constantly bother their dad and sometimes when Takaaki would nap on the couch he'd wake up to find both sleeping on his chest. Even as they got older Takaaki would always find them resting near him.

Taka is trans male and both Celeste and Takaaki are very supportive of him and if any transphobes dares hurt him well... lets just say a very angry victorian lady and her police officer father will be coming your way.

Maki after she was adopted by Takaaki was surprised to find two drastically different siblings who have a bit of love-hate relationship that developed over the years. Both love their new sister though.

When Takaaki remarried to Hiroko they were thrilled their dad was happy but were not expecting Hiro as their new step-brother. The amount of times they've just accidently walked into the kitchen and just... Hiro making a bit of a mess when snacking. Maki doesn't care much for Hiro but Celeste and Taka well... he's their classmate at school so...

I can and will do more but who knows when but anyways enjoy

Takaaki would ask Taka if he's okay with some...changes in how Takaaki presents himself. Herself. Kiyotaka smiles and nods. He hugs Takaaki, saying that he doesn't mind anything. That he loves her no matter what. She will always be his father. But also his mother! Takaaki says that he can still call her "Father"...it just fits better. And maybe she was just too used to it.
