Little Girl Lost by Richard Matheson published in Amazing Stories (October-November 1953). Illustration by Ray Houlihan.
It's a scary and effective SF/horror tale about a young girl who falls into another dimension and the desperate parents who search for their missing child.
This story was later adapted for the 3rd season, 91st over-all episode of The Twilight Zone (March 16, 1962), also called Little Girl Lost.
Tumblr media
A television classic you can watch for yourself.

Note: Child actor Tracy Stratford was featured in the other equally terrifying episode playing the child with the murderous Talky Tina doll.

What are your top 5 absolute favourite scenes from the game?
Good question! Thanks for the ask!!! In no particular order:
The Traci fight. The choreography is insane. There are specific acting/movement tropes (idk what to call them) in there that make me want to grab everyone by their shoulders and shake them
The Stratford Tower: When Markus laser saws open the window (ough) and then SCALES THE SKYSCRAPER (OUGH)
(My first playthrough) When Markus enters the studio for the first time. I can't begin to explain the WOAH I felt
(My first playthrough) In the Veta pit when Markus puts in his audio receptor. I near almost cried at the sound design. I got goosebumps!!! GOOSEBUMPS!!!
The highway chase between Kara and Connor. Oh man. That whole scene is fantastic. The ENERGY I get from it
Honorary mention: One of my favourite chapters is The Nest, but my top favourite is the Eden Club.

I can't sleep and I'm bored, so i gonna ask questions tonight.
Why tf in the dbh game GUNS = DEATH? Why can't we shoot to incapacitate. Dude,
You can't shoot the Stratford guy that runs in the legs and get someone on the crew to take him back (But u can get a f perfect headshot?)
You can't shoot the Tracis in the f legs or arms when they rushing or climbing the fence;
You can't shoot the CyberLife guards in the legs and hands then knock em out in the elevator;
You can't NOT shoot Allen and his crew in the head/vital points;
Bonus rambling:
Dude u can't even shoot the deviant leader from the rooftop, like...fuck Hank/Allen. You shoot w/o warning, kill, they (Hank/Allen) gonna react, you get killed. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED 🤨
NO LITERALLYYYY I BEEN SAYING THE SAME THING
It is INFURIATING that we can't shoot the runaway newsboy in the legs. Infuriating. Why the fuck do we have to KILL HIM to debilitate him. Or the guards too for that matter. So many things could be solved by simply shooting them in ze legs. And then I wouldn't have to hear Josh complain ab killing someone lmao.
And the Tracis too, like. Connor says he wants to detain deviants so Cyberlife can study them, but he also can't let the deviants get away, and he gives himself this unnecessary paradox of "I must shoot to detain, but I can't shoot them because I need them alive" and so he either ends up letting them get away or he fucking kills them. Shoot them in the legs. In the arms. The shoulder. The foot. Who cares. They may not feel the pain but it would stop them from moving that's for sure.
The Connor sniper scene is just silly and it's entirely for plot convenience that he fails. He absolutely would've just sacrificed his life to take out Markus/North, knowing he can just come back anyways but also the mission>his life. But oh, no he can't do that, because we need our precious Connor to have more screen time than a 20 second scene. But then he can headshot North or Markus in the Cyberlife store anyways if the revolution fails, easily. Makes no sense.
(I will say though it's interesting that Connor almost always aims for the head whereas Markus almost always aims for the heart.)
But anyways I think this is all just a continuation of the Saga that is "david cage doesn't know how to write a nuanced story and instead forces his privileged and ignorant idea of black and white morals onto all his work". Because, you know, "violence" just means you kill everyone, even the innocents, right?

Headswaps / edits I want to do (before I forget)
Beanie Josh
North with one of the tracis' Jericho outfit (I'm thinking of Echo's hoodie - change the color maybe?)
Connor in Markus's Stratford suit
Alice in that other little girl's outfit (cool jackets!)
The Riley concept art outfit with North's head for maximum Rileyness
Idk, I want to try if I can do hair swaps, but I feel like that won't work out (wanna see North with short hair)

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS (1965) - CHRISTMAS MOVIES (Part 1/10)
The Holiday season is upon and as the Hannukah lights are being extinguished, they are being replaced by the Christmas lights ensuring the darkness engulfing our days is dissipated by the shining colorful lights that make us merry and jolly to celebrate the years' end with the ones we love.
Christmas is a constant theme in the movie since the early 1940's with classics like Meet Me In St Louis, The Shop Around The Corner and obviously IT;'s A Wonderful Life ((see Part 10).
I have chosen 10 Christmas movies that I particularly like as they cover the full spectrum of the movie genres (Horror, Thriller, Drama, Comedy, Action, War, Animated, Fantasy...) featuring rare original movie posters and limited edition prints.
We start with one of the most adorable Christmas movies ever, i.e. the 1965 animated classic A Charlie Brown Christmas represented here with several superb limited edition prints done by Laurent Durieux, and Nicolas Delort (click on each image for details)
Director: Bill Melendez Actors: Bill Melendez, Tracy Stratford

In this latest edition of "Obvious Things In Detroit: Become Human That I'm 1000% Sure David Cage Didn't Intentionally Put In But Would Absolutely Take Credit For":
Hey, you know how one half of the game is just a copy-pasted upgrade to the buddy-cop story from David Cage's other game 'Heavy Rain', meaning that Connor would've been working with the cops in his story no matter what 'cause Cage just really likes that plotline and cop stories in general?
And you know how Connor is, himself, not actually a cop, but a corporate assassin sent to hunt deviants and kill them, all the way up to when the deviants start to organize, at which point he switches to hunting them down for clues (murder being downgraded to just a fun by-product) until he can find the Deviant Leader and take out the deviant problem at its source?
And you know how hilariously and accidentally insightful it is that Connor - an assassin - blends in with the cops as his media-friendly cover story by:
perfectly delivering on their in-game interrogation methods (which we see Hank try out first and then Gavin offer casual suggestions for, and later see Connor some props from Hank if we score a confession by using 'proper policework' and not 'that fancy shmancy android stuff')
getting the occasional praise from the game's moral compass (a cop) for being "a good guy with a gun" by having Connor openly kill deviants in a 'good' way (i.e. Hank saying Connor saved lives when Connor uses all his precision-android-aim to shoot that camera operator android to death in Stratford Tower instead of just disabling it, despite those same cops tut-tutting at Markus for killing the other human in the tower because 'only an android could make that shot')
emphasizing real-world police brutality and overmiltarization by having Connor's next iteration (the RK-900) literally sold to the military as a faster, more durable, and more kitted out version of himself rather than a change in any tactics or approach?
And you know how I'm saying that that was accidental because David Cage has a consistent pattern of "Military are the next step up from the detective/ federal agent" in all three of his games, so the 'RK-900 being military' point would've also happened either way to show David Cage's intended point of ':( look they replaced machine!connor with a better version of himself, what a thankless reward, you definitely picked the evil path, corporations are bad', so we shouldn't be giving Cage any credit for unintentionally highlighting the real-world overmiltarization of police forces?
And you know how Connor can't make it to the end of the game without killing at least one android, or else he gets recalled by the Big Mean Soulless Corporation for not being a good enough police officer uwu?
Great! 'Cause I just remembered this (link):
The history of policing can be traced back to the days of slavery in colonial America. In the South, where slavery was central to the economy, slave patrols, responsible for capturing runaway slaves and returning them to their masters, was the first unofficial police in America.
So I take it all back - Connor is a cop! :D
'Cause damn if Cage didn't accidentally take cops back to their roots with his whole "The HK-400 killed its master and tried to hide, just like how this Traci killed its master and ran away? Well, we're gonna put an end to that! 🔫🤗💕" shtick from our favourite villain-protagonist.
Which, again, we all know he did purely by accident, because in Cage-land, the only bad guys are Apple. >:(
And also women and gays. >:(

[ christopher briney, cismale, he/him ] - was that LAWRENCE ‘LAURIE’ CAMPBELL i saw by the lighthouse today? i heard that the TWENTY-FIVE year old who has been in nightrest for THEIR WHOLE LIFE and works as a/an CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT has a reputation of being LOYAL, but also SELF-DESTRUCTIVE. they reside in ASHMORE & people in town usually associate them with late night games that stretch to 3 a.m. best friends, cigarette smoke out an open window, ripped jeans and baggy t-shirts of musicians you love, anger and grief often masked as cold and uncaring, a feeling of love that you don’t know what to do with or how to say, a love for your sisters that you don’t know where to put, and trying to find the better version of yourself that people need you to be. let’s hope the killer doesn’t go after them next.
full name — lawrence 'laurie' campbell nickname(s) — laurie name meaning — god has helped age — twenty-five date of birth — august 31st place of birth — salem, massachusetts star sign — virgo sun, aqaurius moon, virgo rising  current location — salem, massachusetts  gender — cis-male pronouns — he/him sexual orientation — bisexual ( repressed ) religion — atheist  occupation — certified nurse assistant  education level — cna school   family — ted campbell ( father ), karen campbell ( father ), tracy campbell ( sister ), holly campbell ( sister, deceased ) finances — upperclass / personal finances: help spoken languages — english, spanish
character inspos: lip gallagher ( shameless ), zuko (avatar: the last airbender), eve polastri (killing eve), cristina yang (greys anatomy), kaz brekker (shadow & bone), kat stratford (10 things i hate about you), will hunting (good will hunting), mike wheeler ( stranger things ), elliot alderson (mr. robot), scott summers (x-men), chandler bing (friends), rosa diaz (b99), jess mariano ( gilmore girls )
tw: absent parents, deceased sister, grief & mourning
if life were a movie then laurie would be the background character that says one funny line before absolutely ruining the scene. in fact, he’d say that his lines were probably cut because they just weren’t good enough. born from an upper class family laurie is unoriginal and there’s nothing that really screams, brilliance. if he were to give that title it would have been to his eldest sister, tracy, but the star that shined in their lives would have been holly.
he’s young when holly was born, young and had no idea the kind of weight that she would place on the family–and holly died too young to understand that she had been the thing to keep the entire family together. she was the glue. all of the words that he could say but it would never be enough.
it hadn’t been an easy run up of affairs. laurie was the perfect example of the middle child, too volatile to handle on best days, had his head devouring books on any piece of science that he could get his hands on. when he was asked as a kid what he wanted to be he said things like a doctor, and then an astronaut. he liked physics, quantum science, engineering. he liked knowing that there were things that could be definite, how a problem could always be fixed if he just had the right amount of calculations and even better hypotheses.
he was the captain of the science club all throughout high school, went to science camp once before he asked his mom to come and pick him up, he had a group of best friends that he loved, who came over on weekends to play games in his basement, he liked making science experiments in his backyard, he tried to be on the track team once before finding that he was better in a classroom than out in the field. his father took him hunting but gave him when he noticed his song reading a book. laurie was good at a lot of things academically, but never much so when it came to talking to other people outside of his bubble.
he liked a boy growing up but never said anything and by the time the moment came where he should he didn’t. for most of laurie’s life he always felt different from his family and what he was supposed to be. he could have been anyone, surely he was never the smartest in the room but he knew things, he could have dated people if he had just said something, he could have had more opportunities if it wasn’t his own self-preservation getting in the way. being different was dangerous—people say things, and it hurts, and it’s worse because they always mean them. it’s easy being different and hiding in the shadows than being brave and getting your heart broken.
by senior year his sister went missing, and then she died. laurie stopped caring after that. when he was a freshmen he had already planned on going to m.i.t, it was the dream school to get the dream job. he could be all the things he said he would be. but by then it didn’t matter. laurie started getting in fights, and headed down a path where he never thought he’d go. he thinks the worst part is that his parents hadn’t noticed. they only cared by the time that laurie got suspended, and acted as if laurie had become a different person overnight. when he got that m.i.t letter holly was long gone and he said that he never got accepted in the first place.
the past couple of years have been hard, and laurie has gotten all kinds of odd jobs until his mom got tired of laurie just laying around and doing nothing with his life. he thinks that it’s the first time that his mother has tried to be a mother to him. he knows that its the bare minimum, but for the moment it was nice, as if she was doing a kindness to him instead of acting out of embarrassment.
over the course of seven years he always thinks that he sees his sister somewhere. he didn’t feel the snap of her being gone, as if she were a tether to him in some way on his heart. that first year he kept telling people that she was still around, he would have felt it, to anyone that believed him. it seems unfair that his sister was here one day and then just disappeared. he remembers the way that people looked at him, when he tried to do his own investigation of her disappearance, and how sometimes he looks throughout his town still for remnants of her.
his family might have been fractured, but it just didn’t seem fair that their glue, and the one of the only people that listened to laurie and his hopes and dreams just didn’t exist anymore. he would have felt it. and the worst part, he thinks, she would be disappointed in the choices that he made after she was gone.
life goes on. laurie’s life is repetition. he doesn’t really dream anymore.
more fun stuff:
listen ,, he might be smart but he is also very Bad when it comes to people he is my cringefail son -- if you were ever friends with him he has never said i love you. not once.
honestly i'd label him as a burn out but like he's a cna but he's also like. a burn out. he could be doing more he just doesn't. and he doesn't see the point.
looking for a weed dealer :// ( it makes him anxious but that doesnt stop him sdkfnsd idiot )
honestly looking for his old bffs that he let go Due to being a Bad Friend ( not intentionally he just... doesnt deal with Things Well sighs )
still v sad abt m.i.t ngl asdkflnds he thinks abt his life as Before and After and thinks where he could have been , always assumed he'd move out of this state and Be Someone. with all the recent deaths he's Going Through It

What a Canon-Path™ is:
Probably played/watched the game 2 times ("Best options/ending" or "Worst options/endings") (medium % probability)
Probably don't know about the lore in a deep way (decent % probability)
Probably ain't got connection with any character besides Connor (and his relationship with Hank) (medium % probability)
Probably don't know the characters deeply overall (decent % probability)
Only the best ending exists (high % probability)
What I define as The Canon Path:
Connor stabilized Daniel and the snipers finished him or saved Emma but fell from the rooftop in The Hostage
Didn't die more than 2 times with Connor
Didn't waste time assisting Carl in The Painter
Tried giving an positive opinion for Carl's art in The Painter
Didn't choose "FATE", "PAIN", "ANGER" or "PRISONER" during The Painter
Bought another drink for Hank in Partners
Stood out for Ortiz's android ("The truth is inside") in The Interrogation
Didn't get the gun in Stormy Night
Doing whatever Alice wants in Fugitives

Didn't talk with Chris or got punched by Gavin in Waiting for Hank
Chose all too friendly approaches with Hank in Waiting for Hank
Kara was found but Connor gave up chasing her in the highway in On the Run
Chose all friendly options and saved Hank in The Nest
Didn't choose "FREE?" or "REFUGE" || "SOMBER" or "LUCID" in Time to Decide
Got reset but remembered everything in Ztlakto
Got the truck with components without killing anyone in Spare Parts
Found the Tracis, won the fight and spared 'em in The Eden Club
Chose "RATIONAL", "NEUTRAL" and "TRUTH" in The Bridge (basically all friendly and troubled options)
No humans hurt (including knock out) or killed, full peaceful speech (no major demands) in The Stratford Tower
Didn't find Simon sacrificed to save Hank (only) in Public Enemy
Didn't choose pessimistic options in Midnight Train
Fooled the cop without problems in Midnight Train
All pacifist approaches including not breaking the glass saving androids from the stores and sparing the cops in Capitol Park
Chose "INSTINCT"; didn't choose "SINCERE" or "INDIFFERENT", "WAR", "NEUTRAL", "AGRESSIVE"; analyzed Amanda's photo and spared Chloe in Meet Kamski
Didn't chose any pessimistic, sincere, neutral or determined option (and probably romanced North) in Freedom March pt. 1
Didn't attack the police in Freedom March pt. 2
Got Hank as "Friends" (he punches Perkins) Connor doesn't get decommissioned in Last Chance, Connor
Didn't abandon Alice, helped Luther and didn't got caught in Crossroads
Chose all software instability options and didn't have Markus a warning shot; Connor became deviant in Crossroads;
Didn't choose any confronting and agressive option with Jericho Crew in Crossroads - Markus
Spared Connor and chose "DEMONSTRATION" in Night of the Soul
Saved Luther and the Jerry's, catched the bus in the right time, didn't sacrifice anyone and went to Canada with everybody alive in BfD - Kara
Disabled the cameras in the elevator, saved Hank and Hank killed 60 (androids wake up) in BfD - Connor
Chose all peaceful, optimistic and calm options, didn't accept Perkins deal, chose "SING" or "KISS NORTH" having a successful demonstration in BfD - Markus

‘Pretty challenging.’ Stratford animal shelter sees influx of kittens, uptick in neglect and abuse cases
The summer months are typically busy for animal shelters, but for the one at Stratford Animal Control, this year is especially bad. It isn’t at capacity yet, but it is pretty full, according to Karen Tracy, president of Stratford Animal Rescue Society, known as STARS. “What we’re finding this year is that we have an […]

Things that *got* me in my first DBH playthrough
1. In the hostage chapter, when Connor takes a hold of the family photo and scans it. His face and demeanour. Amazing.
2. Connor getting shot in the arm and looking up with no expression asjhdjiajkd
3. Connor WALKING AWAY EMOTIONLESS from the girl he just saved.
4. When I walked into Carl’s studio for the first time I teared up at the visual. The curtains opening up were so beautiful.
5. When Alice gets struck by Todd. (Actually, this was a negative Got but I’m adding it to the list.)
6. When Markus didn’t rip out the heart of the woman android in the Veta pit and he does a little defeated fist on her chest as he stands.
7. THE AUDIO PROCESSOR AAAAAAAAAAAAAA I almost CRIED when Markus got his hearing back. It was amazing.
8. The hero shot of Markus standing up in the rain and looking down. Absolutely epic. Kinda slutty but also badass
9. When Markus arrives in Jericho and he has to shake the torch active. I had to shake my mouse whilst holding both clicks, but it felt like I was actually shaking the torch.
10. Similarly, when Markus was in battle at the end of the game, I was fighting a bunch of humans and stuff and the controls were all different, but then I had to kill someone and I kept having to hit A. A. A! A! And it really felt like I was smackin the person down. Just the shift from random keys to a repeating key was brutal.
11. I messed up Kara’s escape from Connor so I chased her across the highway. I LOVED IT ALL. Connor sliding across the hood of a car Got me, as well as Kara yanking Alice back and forth. I was screaming across the highway. (I was streaming my playthrough so---) And then Connor hissing, “Shit.”
12. This quote Got me: “Why did they make you look so goofy and give you that weird voice?” (I didn’t like Hank before this point, but when I heard that, I immediately forgave him because what a PISSER of a line) 13. And then this topped it off: “Well, they fucked up.” (CACKLING, GET ROASTED CONNOR)
14. The scene before the main events of Freedom March where Markus is at the outlook. And there’s a piano. I cried so hard. I played the piano at Carl’s when I started and I thought it was a beautiful throwback.
15. Any time I looked in a mirror as any character. Threw me into a crisis.
16. The emotionless, no-grunting, fighting between my Connor and fake Connor Got me.
17. Wading through the blizzard as Connor at the end of the game Got me.
18. I crossed the river as Kara, but when the control boats started shooting, I knew what would happen if I hid. I hid anyway. I knew it. I think I just knew the trope or storytelling pattern or something, but it was the choice that Got me, not the aftermath.
19. Markus climbing Stratford tower Got me, especially with RISE displayed on the major screen paired with the epic music. UGH yes
20. When Connor fought the red haired Traci and her high heel clacks on the ground when she swing over him. It’s the camera angle and sound. Another trope I think, but I was VIBING hard
21. Connor fighting the two Tracis at once. That was so intense for me. I was like oh SHIT he’s FIGHTING TWO ANDROIDS. He’s one android. I’m thinking at the time damn boy if you were all deskinned you would all be pretty much the same and he’s fighting TWO. And they SLAM him into the wall??? I was Got
22. Also when Connor is fighting red haired Traci and she marches towards him. Camera angle & facial expression. Amazing
23. Connor running for the first time when I’m chasing Kara>>>
24. Markus in the WM400 uniform HOH
25. “You look lost” and then reveal the WR600 HOH sorry but I was stunned---he is My Type of Appearance and his disposition/behaviour---okok, my crush. (Because I was streaming this I also have my voice captured in real-time being weak HAHAHAHA)
26. “Holy shit,” says Hank as AN AMAZING SOUNDTRACK IS PLAYING AND CONNOR IS ON THE TRAIN TOP CHASING AFTER THE DEVIANT AND SNAPS HIS ATTENTION UP---
27. Literally the whole chase in The Nest tbh
28. The Hank and Connor hug at the end
29. The android who was tied to the back of a car because his humans “just wanted to have some fun” Got me
30. The music in The Interrogation
31. Also Connor creeping around in the attic Got me, but only when he ducked a certain way
32. TWENTY-EIGHT STAB WOUNDS
34. The “CONNOR! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?” interaction
35. Slapping Hank awake
36. Hank immediately sobering up in the bathtub and being like “What the fuck are you doing here?”
37. Connor teasing Hank about the Eden Club case also Got me
38. When Kara checks the dryer for clothes in the laundromat.
39. “Will we be together forever?” - “Forever.” Not even another option. Got. (I stayed in the car overnight.) And I quote myself from my recording: “...Well, I’ll be together with Alice for as long as she lives. I’m not sticking around a grave when she’s ninety somethin’ years old.”
40. “We’ll be together forever, won’t we Kara?” - Alice in Jericho after I found out she’s an android. MEGA Got, because of my mindset above ^. And I was like oh man yeah forever ;__;;
41. Chloe asking to leave. And I let her.
42. Chloe asking me not to continue, to just leave things as they are for the sake of peace. I accepted, but then I continued after waiting a little bit.
43. The first time I was parkouring with Markus was really noice.
44. In The Nest when Hank is at that stand-up table and the burger guy is like “Don’t leave that thing here” and Hank’s like “Don’t worry it follows me everywhere” and Connor has to walk over to him and on the way there and Hank says “See?” That REALLY Got me.
45. Also in The Nest, when Connor says something along the lines of “Maybe we should go take a look...” and his eyes drift to the side, then snap back onto Hank.
46. In Zlatko’s house when I’m regaining my memory after failing to escape the machine, the corrupted memory I thought was just random letters but after about 4 pieces of info they started to look like words, and that Got me.
47. This wasn’t a Got moment but in ‘Russian Roulette’ I didn’t see the gun until it was my last clue to scan and I was Shook.
47. When I got to choose Hank’s clothes.
48. When I stroke down with my mouse so Markus can take out the circle of glass he cut out from the window in Stratford Tower.
49. The moment before we smash into the CyberLife store, Markus is sitting in the truck and I have to press W. That camera angle switch from W to YEEEEE is amazing.
50. When we approach the crowd as Markus and the crowd splits revealing the kneeling cops. The dead bodies on the way there Got me.
51. “CyberLife’s last chance to save humanity... is itself a deviant.” “I’m... I’m not a deviant.” HOHHHHHHHHHHH
52. The option unlocking for Connor to become deviant.
53. Then Connor starting to tear down his walls. & the soundtrack paired with this moment.
54. Then [ I AM DEVIANT ]
Bonus: I distinctly remember very clearly thinking “oh great another sci-fi game with an average-looking white guy as the protagonist” and I have never been so wrong. The switch of opinion happened so fast. From the elevator to picking up the photo frame was like OOP---

I played Detroit: Become Human like it was Dungeons and Dragons (rolling dice left and right based off of these character sheets I made, with the help of @detroitbecomeonline). Here’s how it went:
First off, I rolled d4s to decide dialogue options, then d20s + their ability/proficiency modifiers for general checks and saves, and even initiative and attack rolls.
AND Each Character got their own dice set because I just so happen to have 3. So I only roll for each character using their corresponding dice set.
It honestly started off a bit slow. Connor rolled terrible investigation and didn’t notice shit about Daniel, then got himself killed by sacrificing himself to save Emma.
The first few chapters are pretty inconsequential so the most that happened were wacky dialogue options and also for fun I rolled a Stealth check for Markus to see if he could avoid the protestors and he Could Not.
I determine these things by setting what I’m calling “Room DCs”: for each character, the environment they’re in has a minimum DC they need to roll higher than on investigation, perception, stealth, etc. Each room DC varies on the characters’ proficiencies in investigation. Connor’s room DC is 18 bc his investigation is highest, then Markus whose room DC is 16, then Kara whose room DC is 15… It makes sense I promise.
(The Room DCs only apply to non-characters though, like investigating an environment. For situations like Markus avoiding the protestors, I rolled a Stealth check for him and a Perception check for them. They won.)
In Partners, everything was going great, Connor rolled high investigation and found all the evidence… but then when relaying that evidence to Hank, the d4 fucked me over and had Connor insisting that both the android and the victim attacked each other “without a weapon”, to which Hank called bullshit and the mission failed. Oh well.
Kara rolled low Sleight of Hand and was caught stealing by the supermarket guy, so no money for the motel.
She rolled low Persuasion on Alice, so no car. But she rolled high Perception so we found the wire cutters to get into Ralph’s house
Aannnndd then she rolled low Perception so she forgot to grab the gun off the dresser after she finished changing :/
Kara and Connor both rolled high on their Dex saves for the highway chase scene, but Kara rolled higher so she got away.
Off to a very bad start with Hank, thanks to Connor’s d4 that fucking hates me I guess. (pay back for all the times I’ve dissed on Connor?)
I rolled opposing strength checks for Markus and Leo to see if Markus holds his ground or pushes Leo, and yeah Leo Got Pushed.
Connor rolled high investigation and found Rupert… but Rupert rolled a significantly higher Acrobatics check so he got away.
Kara rolled a low wisdom save on Zlatko’s “Forget Spell” so she forgot, but then rolled a high Investigation check so she found all the clues. Thank God.
Connor’s Animal Handling is -2 AND I rolled a 5 so he did not get to pet Sumo in Russian Roulette :’(((
Markus rolled high Acrobatics so he took down the drone, but then the d4 said John wasn’t allowed to join them so they had to run, but the mission was mostly successful.
Uhh Connor rolled high Investigation at the Eden Club but Ripple rolled like an 18 attack roll and Connor’s AC is only 14, so she kicked his ass.
BUT THEN THE D4 MADE HIM SHOOT BOTH TRACIS AS THEY RAN AWAY I WAS FURIOUS
Hank FUCKING hates us
To make everything WORSE, the fucking Bridge chapter, oh my GOD I swear this d4 is literally fucking possessed by Gavin or some shit, bc it kept rolling the WORST dialogue options, and yeah needless to say Hank shot Connor :/
Like it was maddening but also so so funny. Connor kept saying the dumbest shit and Hank’s metre kept going down. He legit said “I know you’re not gonna shoot me, Lieutenant” and then got fucking shot. Dear Lord.
Stratford tower! Markus’s d4 LOVES me. He rolled to Ruse the guards, and then rolled to Shoot the runaway newsboy, so Simon is safe! (for now)
Connor rolled SHIT investigation in Public Enemy AND he kept attacking the wrong kitchen android so they just left. I didn’t even know you could fail that chapter, but Connor sure did.
Midnight Train could’ve gone SO bad, but Kara rolled super high perception, found all the deviant evidence, d4 rolled good dialogue options, and then everything was fine. I was so stressed tho.
Capitol Park was pretty lowkey, other than Markus failing his Acrobatics check, again, and failing to take down the drone. I rolled percentile dice to decide violent or peaceful, 1-50 for pacisfism and 51-100 for violence, and unfortunately I rolled a 40, but the public STILL hates us bc the d4 made Markus shoot Chris :/
Connor fucking shot Chloe so now Hank is gonna fucking kill himself. All because of a stupid d4.
I’m gonna have to replay and see if I can do any better with these dice rolls cause jfc
Freedom March, d4 decided we are attacking. Markus rolled a very high attack roll and a mediocre dex check so he won but with a few missed QTEs. The public HATES US.
Connor found Jericho thanks to the Tracis and a high Investigation check, but then rolled a shit dex save against Gavin’s attack roll of 24. So Gavin killed him LMAO
Fucking shit balls ass motherfucker, as you can imagine, Crossroads went so bad. So first of all, I was right, Connor couldn’t deviate. Oh well. Then when he faced the one soldier guy the d4 rolled “Attack” so I rolled Connor’s attack role and rolled a fucking natural ONE. Against the soldier’s AC of 14. So yeah Connor died again. Then for Kara, I rolled to save Luther thank God, but then when they were escaping the d4 rolled for “Run” and then “Attack”, and APPARENTLY LUTHER ATTACKS FOR YOU??? I DID NOT KNOW THAT. So anyways now Luther is dead too bc he saved Kara and Alice. Then, for Markus, I rolled a SHIT Stealth check so he got shot, only once though! Then d4 rolled and got the Not Intervene unfortunately, rolled a high Strength check to drop the thingy on the soldiers, then d4 rolled to Hide instead of saving Josh which sucks. THEN the d4 actually DID roll to save North, but APPARENTLY if Markus got shot before, his Vital Systems Damage doesn’t let him save North!!! So she fucking died!!! I’M SO SAD😭😭 So now it’s just Markus and Simon, but Simon’s relationship status is at NEUTRAL, which is the lowest I’ve ever gotten with him and idk how I fucked up so badly to make the guy who likes Markus the easiest not give a shit about Markus, I’m crying it’s so funny. Imagine hanging out with a group of people and they all like you but the nicest guy in the group just considers you like a coworker. Embarrassing. Anyways. Markus successfully blew up the ship at least (he rolled an attack roll against the soldiers of 23) so there’s that.
D4 got Carl killed bc his weak white privileged ass can’t stand it when an oppressed man is angry. Fuck him. I literally couldn’t care less. I’m just sad Leo didn’t get his closure.
Simon is our Friend now yay I love gay people
Hank… yeah. And I’ve seen this scene like 4 times now (only once my own, the rest other playthroughs) and I still fucking cry my eyes out every time, I hate d*vid c*ge so much for making that one of Hank’s outcomes I hate that there’s literally no way for Connor to stop him and I hate that it’s entirely determined by his relationship with Connor, idc how much he reminds Hank of his son it shouldn’t fucking matter bc that’s not how depression/suicidal ideation fucking works, I would know. It makes me so damn mad. Anyways wbk Connor’s dice hate me.
Revolutionary Markus babyyyy let’s just hope Simon survives this at least otherwise Markus loses everyone.
It was Connor on the roof with the sniper rifle! Haha, just a little Clue joke for ya. Anyways it was actually Captain Allen on the roof with the handgun, because Connor got his ass beat. Thanks to a nat 1 attack roll. Again.
Yeah I fucking jinxed it, Markus rolled a shit Strength check (which is ironic) in attempting to grab Simon so Simon died. Now Markus is all alone :’((
BUT Markus rolled high attack roll after high attack roll, one missed and he got shot but the rest succeeded so he won the Revolution babyyyy.
Kara rolled high Deception against Oliver’s parents’ low Insight so she took the tickets. Slay.
For the Markus v. Connor, I rolled initiative for both of them, and where Markus rolled an 18 Connor got a nat 1. Again. Maybe I should redo this but only use one set of dice for all three of them. I don’t believe in dice superstition, but this is just ridiculous. So anyways then I rolled attack rolls for both of them and Markus hit while Connor missed. So Connor gets killed dead, AGAIN. Which I mean I’m not at all complaining, I LOVE watching Markus beat his bitch ass up.
Side note, when Markus wins the revolution, since all of his friends are dead, one of the Zac Efron looking Chad bots tells him they won, that the soldiers are fleeing, and he says it so cheerfully it made me laugh so hard. Markus is standing there, broody as fuck, carrying the weight of the war and the Toll of the Dead (d&d pun intended) on his shoulders, and here’s this Just Some Guy android jumping up and down excitedly, clapping his hands and cheering “we won!”. It’s so funny.
I’m so upset. Kara and Alice made it all the way through, but since Luther died, and I rolled a low Stealth check so I couldn’t save Jerry, she couldn’t sacrifice anyone else, then of the “sacrifice self” or “no sacrifice” I rolled the latter, so they both got shot. I’m so mad. Literally no one gets a good ending in this God forsaken game
Except technically Markus because he won but also he lost everyone, so did he really win?
Anyways this sucked balls I cannot believe this is literally the worst playthrough I’ve had yet. I wanna redo this but tbh I don’t wanna restart from the beginning, so maybe tell me what chapter I should start at? Cause most the beginning chapters are inconsequential.
That’s all! Hope you had fun reading!
